141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Universal-Wallet] Coinomi (BIP44 compatible) on: December 08, 2017, 03:09:28 PM
Has anyone had any luck in using thier zencash  deposit address?  If i try to use it I get a invalid address and if i enter it into a explorer  i get a not found responce.  I have been able to use my other coinomi  coin addresses just Zencash seems to be invalid.

Is there anything in the address? If there are no transactions for an address most explorers will tell you it's not found.

what the price for ICO ?

i thought it was 0.1 $ ?

I think there was a week where it was .1. But I doubt many if any bought it at that price. It's was .03 pre-ico (without bonus) and .05 first week of ICO which is when most were sold.

Keep it up guys, like the progress you done! 2018 is the year of ENJ Cheesy

Damn! Enjin is on fire, things are looking up nice for enjin, suddenly price is pumping, looking good for investors since ending of ico, is there a good reason for the sudden rise, any Ann upcoming? Hope from now is better and steady rise to 2018  Wink like the look of my portfolio right now Grin

Whats in your portfolio then?

I have 88,200 enjin coins
1.2 Bitcoins
60,975 SPARC coins
33,500 coins in TokenLAB
20,500 coins in Datum
100 coins in Expanse
555 coins in Finshi

2018 WILL be a Vintage year!!

I like my portfolio too. I expect big things from all of them.  Not specifying quantities.

Coins:
Bitcoin  (bitcoin gold free money, will probably convert to one of the below)
Eth
Dash
Stellar (XLM)

Tokens:
Enj
VIU (free air drop)

Was going to buy a few kitties, but the price ramped to quickly too soon for me. I'll pick some up with the price crashes in a week or two.

I hope everyone is happy with the price rise today. This is just the beginning.

Yea. I wonder if the article on Enjin and Kitties had something to do with it.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ㉫ ENJIN COIN - Smart Gaming Cryptocurrency + Virtual Goods Platform ㉫ on: December 07, 2017, 03:32:18 PM
tell me why shall I invest in this coin ??

This is not a coin, ENJ is ERC-20 token. I don't know why they call it coin, quite misleading.

"coin" is a generic term for Money as well. You could think of the Enjoin Coin as virtual in game money.

It doesn't matter if they are in the same address or different. Each time your receive a tx its going to create a new unspent output.

So, you are still going to have the same choice of outputs for any transaction. I think spending money to combine your outputs is counter productive. Having all your receives into one address doesn't change the underlying protocol.

So there is really no dust consolidation? I thought there was a way.

You can spend back to yourself, but unless you use a wallet that lets you chose the outputs yourself, and set a very low fee and wait for it to confirm, it seems like much ado for nothing.

The wallet should pick the best outputs for any spend you do. having a bunch of smaller outputs makes it easier for it to find a more exact match to your spend.

At least, that's my understanding of it at this point. Dust consolidation at current tx fees is not worth it afaict.
148  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: iOS Bread Wallet on: December 04, 2017, 06:36:51 PM
hi , is coin base going to suggest to people to use your wallet ??

Why would they do this? Coinbase is a wallet service and would suggest their own wallet app.
149  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: December 04, 2017, 06:35:15 PM
Just wanted to check its not going to be a problem.

It's an HD wallet so all the old addresses are completely valid and will always be valid with the same seed. I use old addresses on there quite often and it all goes fine. It'll combine outputs from the old address with any other ones if you've received on other addresses.

If you want to check, not that you need to, click on accounts and then sign message and it'll show you all your addresses.
Excellent, I thought that'd be the case.   Ideally I want to shift all the BTC into a new address to get the cheapest transaction fee possible when sending priority, this is because I need it to clear fast for a price fix.   But the actual consolidation doesn't have to be fast, I sent something economy the other day and it took a few hours to confirm which is fine.

Does the wallet have a certain method to consolidate separate accounts and keys into one balance that would then go more cheaply then any address that has multiple in/out transactions on it.   I would guess this isnt possible as it has to be cleared via the blockchain which is another fee but if it has these multiple addresses anyway is it possible to clean it up a bit perhaps.

I should already know this but I've been using alt coins for years with block time under a minute and a penny cost.  However the non crypto company I deal with now prefers I send from a BTC private wallet only, to the point where its a bad price if I dont so its worth me finding out the cheapest method for the future.

300 sat is just ridiculous for such a coin, imho

Which coin do you mean? This is Enjin forum and Enjin is not a coin but Ethereum token.

Can somebody tell me what kind of fees takes place when transacting with ENJ? I mean if I use ENJ ie. purchasing item in some game do I pay standard ETH fee(~$0,50) every time? In that case it doesn't suit very well it's use case for micro transactions.

If people will pay tx fees to buy/sell virtual kittens... why not for virtual game items?
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: December 04, 2017, 06:29:03 PM
I can still get XLM for my stored bitcoins or is it too late?

too late

No possibiliy to get it so??

And what about Poloniex? neither?

Thanks.

You'd have to ask polinex... but I doubt they requested the coins based on their bitcoin wallet, because I didn't see anything about them doing that anywhere.

Just go buy some for your BTC. There such a deal at 800sat.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Universal-Wallet] Coinomi (BIP44 compatible) on: December 04, 2017, 06:24:06 PM
Does anyone know how to add the VIU token to coinomi. It doesn't show in the dApp list when I search it. I tried the "add contract" thing, but wasn't sure what to enter for ABI... I think it was.

Considering the amount of STR that is yet to be distributed, this shit is not going anywhere but down for the foreseeable future.

Read the whitepaper! They are only adding at 1% a year... I use to think exactly what you think here which is what kept.me.from.initially investing. Truth is that the 1% addition each year will have minimal effect on price.

Is that 1% new XLM every year (mining rewards), or just existing XLM that is released from SDF every year?  If the latter, is that what the auctions are?

No mining.... it is existing XLM released-

ok... i wasnt' clear on that. I thought the coin had 1% inflation built in.

Why is the price always lower than those who had the best bonus? Who sells so low? It's incensed.

Yea, as I watch VIU which was given away jump from $.001 to $.009 in 11 days, seeing ENJ still below ICO price is just weird.

But, no worries, I believe it will grow once it starts being used in game communities. It's just a strange start.

Gday xianbits Smiley

Dunno if it's exactly 'official' or not, but I have received help here and so have others.

I found the Coinomi tech support to be pretty use-less -
I reported : "help, my wallet restore failed with blah blah error..."
He replied : "a wallet restore WILL work, you probably used a different version" (his emphasis !)

Anyway - yes, I have had Coinomi lose just one currency (after a restore.)

It may be related to what type of coin - whether it is a mainline coin like BTC or ETH, or a split-coin like BCH or BTG, or a derived coin like ENJIN coin (based on Ethereum.)

Can you give us more details ?
Which coin ?
Did a Restore lose it ?
Any other clues ?

Kapyong
Well, I am referring to my LTC balance. It says 0, and that I never had a receive and sens transactions ever. It happens when I wake up in the morning. My other coins' balances were good, only this litecoin. I didn't had a restore or any other upgrades with the wallet. Plainly, it happened for no reason. I keep on refreshing many times.
After maybe 5 to 6 hours, the balance returned but their support never had any words.
I don't want to happen it again so instead of asking to solve my issue (it's now solved), I will be asking if what has happened/ why it happened so I can prevent it from happening again?

What was the blockchain height?

I don't know if this is the right answer but I remember seeing -1 when I look at my litecoin. Is there something important with that? What does it mean? Also, why it appears I never had any transaction with LTC?

It looks to me that Coinomi connects to various servers to get block chain data for the various coins. If you go to the specific coins balance page it will show the "height", which is the last block it knows about. If that is current, it could be the server you are hitting is a bit behind. Pull down on the screen for it to do a refresh. Sometimes it says "no connection" and can't update.

So, I expect in your case there was an issue with the litecoin server or servers they connect to. I'm not sure you can do anything to prevent it from happening. I expect the "height" on the LTC page said 0.

The good news is, the wallet holds your keys, not your coin. If you have your seed your funds are safe and on the block chain. You didn't lose anything, it's just a display, communication issue with the LTC server.

Is there any reason why poloniex and bittrex has different values and why polo uses str while bittrex xlm?

Poloniex is becoming a crappy exchange

What do you mean different values? Not every market has the same price.

Right now:
Bittrex: 667
Polo:     672

Not that much difference.

The coin was Stellar when it was released. It was later that they decided to keep the name Stellar for the network and use Lumens (XLM) for the native currency of Stellar. Some exchanges switched to the new name/ticker, some didn't.

I did a quick read of the Bancor page. I'm not really sure what Bancor is.  Can someone give me the ELI5 summary?
160  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: November 29, 2017, 05:11:02 PM
I dont understand the addresses system on mycelium app. Every time you send funds to mycelium your address is different? First you send funds to one address and then when you cash out the dust stays in mycelium app but when you check in blockchain explorer the amount iz zero on that address but in the app you can see like 0.00002 btc. Where is that stored? And why there cant be all the time the same address?

That's the way HD wallets work. For a bit of privacy and security you get a new address generated every time you receive to the last address in the hierarchy sequence.

I'm not sure why you are seeing a balance in an address in the wallet and not in explorer. Are you sure it is in that address, or is it in the wallet? The wallet also sends change to a different address as well. So, that dust might have been change sent to a different address.

You can use the tool to list all the keys that your Mnemonic words generate

https://iancoleman.io/bip39/

I expect one of those addresses will be where your dust is, and you will also see it on the block explorer in that address.
