101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Everyone" is all wrong about Bitcoin... on: April 12, 2024, 11:35:48 AM

Almost everyone is wrong, and only because; Bitcoin is not at all about all the deep dips but the stabile growth with the high peaks. That's it and that's all of what most of them just don't get.
Well, you don't need to say and prove that we are wrong because we believe what we are doing (investing in Bitcoin) is right. You will probably disagree about it but as usual, not all appreciate the potential value of Bitcoin especially, if you are already a close-minded person. Bitcoin never pleases everyone to look into it and invest because this is just for those people who clearly understand how it works and how it helps the community. If you believe it was wrong, then that is your opinion and we are all free to speak about it.
102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I really hold onto my bitcoins in the future? on: April 11, 2024, 08:58:37 PM
Investing in Bitcoin is a good decision but you can't rely solely on this because this won't generate profit every day.
In order for you to help your family, better find a stable job while still investing just to support the daily expenses. Then it was not difficult for you to stay hold of your Bitcoin for a long time in this situation. I don't know what advice your friend gives you but whatever it is, you need to think it wisely before making a decision. Don't rush in making a decision, you can also ask your parents as well as it will be good when everyone in your family is involve.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 11, 2024, 02:51:03 PM

Magnolia on the other hand seemed to have struggled in the past few games although they won their last game, but probably there's still some missing factor that they need to fill, hopefully  Jerrick Balanza will be the answer.

Some of the teams like Magnolia, TNT, and Ginebra have struggled this conference, they are called as a championship team but this time they look different. We can't tell if the team have a problem or the weaker teams just suddenly improve, but this action of the Magnolia hotshots tells us that there's some problem in the team that they need to correct.

If we look at the team, the leaders are already old, they probably have pass their prime as they are not the same anymore in terms of production. Paul Lee who is a sniper was even struggling in the past few games, Barroca as well. That's why we can't blame the fans for calling them introboys because they get into the Finals but they loss most of the time.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: April 11, 2024, 02:08:17 PM
Thank you for sharing that with us. I do believe this kind of post have been repeated in the gambling discussion section many times but it is still better to keep on reminding everyone about it. Why? Because most of the time we make mistakes as our brains are darkened by revenge as we keep on losing. We became emotional which is the beginning of where we make more mistakes. Overconfidence after a win, it happens to most gamblers because they simply think it is their time and they can win more but the outcome will probably be different.

True,.. if we want to win and achieve consistency, we need to act like a robot, a robot that could easily follow the plan we made.

Biggest problem on some gamblers are they are being emotional, greedy, or unsatisfied. casino would love to see that because that means they'll getting money from us, they are just doing their job, so we should also do our job. When we make a decision, it shouldn't be coming from our emotion, I've been there, I made a lot of mistakes in the past and I can say that it's not really good to be too emotional in gambling as we don't have unlimited supply of money.

I am still surprised how humanity was able to invent a casino.
After all, this is a place that tests us for self-discipline. And the paradox is that you need to feel nothing to be productive. But you always want to feel something. How difficult it is to find a balance between the desire to experience emotions and not allow them to control our lives. The casino is like a mirror reflecting our ability to self–control and our desire for excitement.
Perhaps this contradiction is where its appeal lies.

We don't have to take this literally, yes we have emotion but we need to be focus if we want to start winning in gambling. Actually it's not true that we can never win in gambling, we all have a chance to win in gambling but the chance is very slim because most of us does not aim for long term success. We will only achieve that state if we start realizing that we want to take a serious journey in gambling, and of course I'm not talking about casino games where the house edge are present, this game refers to games that we can use our skills.
105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why most of Exchanges FAIL ? on: April 11, 2024, 01:26:54 PM
       -    Literally speaking, when there are only a few people trading on a platform and there is only a small amount of incoming volume, an exchange will not really last long. We know that the heart of an exchange is in the traders who will buy crypto that is available on the exchange.

and when the volume that enters each of the listed coins is good, it is for sure that the exchange will survive, whether it is CeX or DeX.
Liquidity is required for an exchange to survive so when an exchange platform comes to the market it has to do a lot of potential marketing to reach people which is very costly. And this is why the new exchange platforms cannot survive long in the competitive market. And since money is kept in exchange platforms, everyone always prefers reputable platforms. Because of this new exchange platforms are not able to survive for long
The room for these new exchanges is quite very small which means only a few of them to survive and succeed.
Not to mention how many of new exchanges are created every day but guess what, what we just heard and what people are using are still the old ones. And I know why because people are looking for security assurance and we know that using new exchanges carries huge risk as they are still building their reputation. While old exchanges like Binance and Kucoin already had which give traders/investors the confidence that they are looking for.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should be looking only at the brighter side on: April 10, 2024, 09:32:02 PM
Being a Bitcoin investor or a holder comes without it's own ups and downs that makes us want to sell off all of it without looking back, but know one thing,  their is actually a light, at the end of the tunnel, we should not be looking at the higher transaction fees, the network congestion, the complications and effort needed to hold perfectly without you selling due to financial pressure, the negativity and speculation around it by hater, the stress and measures put in place to secure it well from scammers,  but as a true Bitcoineers, we should only be look at the brighter and the bigger picture of how much you stand to gain, if you keeps on holding, look only at the brighter side of it, because that's what going to motivate you when you feel tired, cheer to all Bitcoineer🍷🥂🥂
We just learned how important to keep focus on what we are doing in order to succeed rather than get disturbed by the negativity and FUDs around us. A reason why a lot of Bitcoin holders lose their money is because they easily give up when a crisis comes. Their weaknesses influence their mindset turning it negative and it results in making wrong decisions. If we can't stand strong with our goal, this always happens to us again and again.
The successful holder is always positive and committed to their work rather than being weak and easily affected by the environment.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paper Betting- Would You Consider it if you Were to Start Sports betting Again on: April 10, 2024, 03:01:57 PM
Is this not a wasting of time? Although it could be a good way for beginners to learn about some gambling strategies without risking money but this doesn't necessarily replicate the emotional aspect of real gambling. The moment real money is involved, people's behavior can not be controlled again. I see it as a waste of time because there is no real money to be won even if you got it right on paper and sports games are not computer based games where you expect the event to repeat itself.
I appreciate your point and indeed as long as no real money is involved the impact of the game is less understood as compared to wagering money on a casino and then eventually losing it. What I feel is that it can make the person aware of how the game works and that is almost everything about it. Paper-trading on the other hand might be something that every trader needs to do in order become a future trader and not someone who goes FOMO.

It may help in diagnosing those who are prone to getting addicted, but I might be thinking longshot, professionals in these fields might have a better opinion about further research.

For some it could be a waste of time because they don't understand what they are doing.

Okay, so gambling without using a real money might be differenet from gambling that you risk a real money, but paper betting* is still very useful to us gambler as we test the water before we actually do gamble. If your result is positive, meaning profitable, that means you are good at choosing the winning bets, but of course it doesn't replicate your actual experience, however, since you have achieve positive result already it is a good sign that you can achieve that when you are in actual  gambling, you just have to control your emotion and be discipline all the time.

109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This bitcoin bull market isn't over yet ! on: April 10, 2024, 12:35:58 PM
Most of us are expecting Bitcoin to go at least over $100k in this bull run, however, we would be much happier, of course, if it manages to go way above that mark because we are holders and we would enjoy every bit of it. People who think the bull run is done should wait for some time before reaching that conclusion.
Everyone is quite excited to see the price of Bitcoin at $100k but the question is if we can manage to hold our Bitcoin until it comes. Or the majority are selling when it was just react at $80k.

Those who think is over are those people who are selling their Bitcoin already. They just want the market to dump again rather than see the price go high and feel absolute regret. But those who hold always have their faith and believe that Bitcoin price will reach new ATH. Well, believe that history repeats itself and it was been witnessed before that bull season is over almost 1 year after halving (correct me if I'm wrong).
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the common man. on: April 09, 2024, 09:05:40 PM
I can tell you for a fact that I do not actually hodl Bitcoin so it pumps and gets me rich. I actually think that Bitcoin is done making people rich as fast as it did.  In the next 14, we can’t see the same ROI as the past 14 years. So, how much do I want to invest and say I’m trying to get rich. And I can also tell you that if I see a way to make the payments of the things I do using Bitcoin, I’d gladly take it (considering the fees are reasonable for the amount being transacted).

It true Bitcoin cannot pump as it did in the last 14 years but I tell you one thing for sure, Bitcoin is not done with the bulls. In the next couple of years those who miss out the opportunity to invest now, will say had it been I knew. The fact that Bitcoin price also works on the principal of demand, supply and scarcity, after we must have experience two more halving the price will certainly be on a serious bear when you zoom out from the entire price movement. I know, due to the movement of Bitcoin most investors have given up that Bitcoin cannot go for even a x2 anymore, but I tell you all you need is patience, Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme so you much be disciplined enough to hold for long term.
It was not going to be expected that every Bullrun or every new ATH needs to be x2 in the previous ATH. But what we believe is that every bull season the price of Bitcoin will break the previous record. The thing here is that acquiring and holding Bitcoin is not a waste of time which common people must know it and they should not be driven by fear and worry that investing in Bitcoin will end in nothing. What they need is proper education and guidance, they won't gain courage if they don't clearly understand what is this all about.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 09, 2024, 02:52:10 PM
[...]
But ANT is different, been in the US team, and so he got a lot of experience.
Maybe but I doubt he could take the Wolves all the way to the Finals without KAT. No offense to him and his fans but all seven game series without the help he needs is just an uphill battle. Good news for the Wolves is that KAT is projected to return by the end of the regular season.
If that's the case then the Wolves would be ready in the playoffs, they will either play the Warriors or the Lakers, so I think they really need KAT in the line up as he could be a very big threat in the inside. If the Warriors will face the Wolves, I think the series will be over soon as the Wolves are gonno impose their dominance in the paint which the Warriors doesn't have.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Meme" coins are ruining everything on: April 08, 2024, 03:47:03 PM
I don't think that every meme coin will exists longer but some of them will end with the end of Bull season therefore don't trust too much on such type of coins. Some people will say good words about meme investment and some will be against it so everything is happen due to matter of choices and the way they find meme coins.

Every coin has its own importance so I don't think that meme coins will ruin every crypto coin because everyone is familiar about its risky nature and all they know better about top coins that they aren't risky as that of meme coins.
No use case projects will never stay long but gone shortly. Indeed, we may be seeing them in the hype and become popular but after the bull season and hyped event, we can't find them anymore. Or maybe some of them are just still there but people are ignoring it because they are worthless and dying.
And the topic is right - Meme coins ruin everything. Might some people disagree with it especially those who make a lot of money these days. They will be happy these days but if they keep holding and buying meme coins, that also gives them a reason to hate crypto.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 08, 2024, 01:03:13 PM
For me I would just take a break from gambling, I don't really like to try out other games I only play on games that I am comfortable with.
Whenever I am on a lose streak I would try to lessen the risk or be contented with small wins, and I don't really chase up my loss from my previous deposits, whenever I deposit to gamble I consider it as a fresh start and ignore the previous loss.
This is so me... I believe that if I want to win consistently, I need to focus on the game that I love to play and that it makes me believe that I could really win. Changing a game although we know it but it's not really our favorite is just like trying our luck, if we win good but if we are really unlucky, it doesn't matter on what games you'll playing, you'll still lose in the end because you will become indiscipline with your bankroll management.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Story of my life on: April 08, 2024, 11:55:22 AM
What positive results you are talking? Is it winning?

Well, I guess what you are doing is just trying not to be addicted with gambling, so with less gambling activities, you don't think about it much. Actually the missing factor is only discipline, because even if you are gambling on a regular basis but you have that discipline, you'll certainly get the positive things you are looking. Most of us are aiming to win, but we know for the fact that gambling does not make everyone a winner, in fact only few of us, so we have to understand that reality so we will not expect too much especially if we know in ourselves that we are not doing good in terms of profitability.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: April 05, 2024, 02:44:04 PM
Casinos have a vibe: the energy, the crowd, the whole scene. Its not just the money, its the experience. And these days, with everything online, people are starved for that real-world buzz.

Casinos can win big, and I mean BIG, by being more than just slots and tables. Forget just gambling - we're talking shows, top-notch restaurants, maybe even classes on how to play. Its about that human connection.

And dont think they're going extinct, far from it. The smart casinos get it – people miss the personal touch. Its not about fighting the internet, it's about giving folks something they cant find on their phones. Thats the future. Its the Vegas experience revamped, and believe me, thats a winning hand.

Definitely it's the experience that is the key factor here why there are some people who choose to play with a land based casino over the online casino. If online casino has discrupted the land based casino, vegas would not anymore exist, but not only vegas exist they are still growing their revenue because people just love to experience the ultimate fun in gambling which can only be achieve when going to a physical casino.

let us consider this company for example...Las Vegas Sands..and look at its revenue growth.
https://www.macrotrends.net/stocks/charts/LVS/las-vegas-sands/revenue

Quote
Las Vegas Sands annual revenue for 2023 was $10.372B, a 152.36% increase from 2022.
Las Vegas Sands annual revenue for 2022 was $4.11B, a 2.93% decline from 2021.
Las Vegas Sands annual revenue for 2021 was $4.234B, a 44.01% increase from 2020.

That time, the online casino is already getting more popular as well, but the growth of his land based casino still is impressive.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: April 05, 2024, 01:50:40 PM
Just sharing you a good  article about Loma,

Quote
Is Lomachenko an aging, legendary warrior or is he a fighter finally on the cusp of that defining win several years and several weight classes deep into his career? Maybe he’s both.

https://www.boxingscene.com/how-much-vasiliy-lomachenko-really-left--182629

And probably this is also the questions from us, a close lost to Haney, and after coming from a hiatus due to what happen to his country, it seems that Loma might have lost some step already.

But the question will be answered in this fight whether he still has it and can pull the trigger or at age 36, he is declining and could be at the sunset of his career and he should retire for good.

I have no doubt that he will win here as his opponent seemed declining as well. It's the first step of the test, once he win and he gets another shot with a champion and win, then that's the time to conclude that he still has not pass his prime. 36 years is still not old in boxing, in fact Mayweather retired when he was already 41 but was still undefeated.

Loma might loss to Haney, but a boxer who had that kind of fight against a very quick Haney is already considered a great boxer, and besides, the fight ended up as a controversial fight which some believe he wins, so the respect is still there.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 05, 2024, 11:14:48 AM
It is good advice OP but don't pressure your friend to invest in Bitcoin especially if he is not fully knowledgeable about this. And since he is new to the company and his position, it could be best to listen first to his teammates. It was not because we are close to someone, we are confident enough that suggesting investing in Bitcoin will save them. We keep in mind that not all who invest in Bitcoin become successful and your friend might fail as well.
What you did is that you are dealing a huge responsibility with your friend. I'm afraid they will blame you and the company for such a suggestion in case it fails.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Number of new memecoin traders hits record high on: April 04, 2024, 08:50:51 PM
I can't really imagine that thing happening now but that seems to be expected because many people are into the look of gems and we know that meme coins hyped gain huge market attention making newcomers interested in it not knowing the high risks await them. Well, we can't deny that many people earned a lot of money from these meme coins and this will influence the minds of others and join the party. It could be a mistake or not but it doesn't matter for others because what they are after now is to earn by any means and even they are investing shitcoins.
If they can afford to lose their money, then I don't think we need to stop them. Perhaps, that is their choice and all of us are welcome to do that.
119  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for a beginner on: April 04, 2024, 03:24:46 PM
Hello, I'm a new trader. I started a month ago. I deposited $100, and now I've lost $40. Any advice for me? I watched some YouTube videos and found a technical analysis video which helped a lot. I started not losing as much. Sometimes I even earn. But even though, I feel so lost. Like every day, I see some random coins get boosted. Some people earn from how they know that coin will go up. I'm sorry for my bad English; it's not my first language.
Trading cannot be learned completely in a very short period of time. There is a proverb we all know, little knowledge is terrible. Learning to trade is basically a matter of patience and time. All the courses that are done on the social media you have chosen are very shortcut process, at least the trade cannot be learned in shortcut process. Trading requires a lot of research about coins. If someone you know or your neighbor is involved in then you can follow him how he trades but don't follow him directly. Most of the new traders face losses when trading in the first stage, of course you should trade with money that you won't suffer from losing money. Be patient, stick to it, do maximum research on anything related to trade, hope you get success in future.
Success is impossible for a person who keeps rushing themselves to learn and earn. As we can see, a lot of new traders in the market today but in just a few days doing this, some have already gone like dust in the air and I possibly know why. Because these people are not meant for trading as they don't even understand the volatile nature of the market at first. Impatient people reap nothing aside from losses and regrets.
As a trader who aims for success, we don't need to wait for us to suffer big losses before we push ourselves to learn more but instead, consider this as our top priority rather than thinking of earning money. And we have to accept the fact that there is magic in learning how to trade and much more in achieving success.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 04, 2024, 02:21:35 PM
Just funny though that in the beginning and if I still recall it correctly, some of us thinks that Wemby is just over hype rookie and we even put Chet above him for the rookie of the year as Chet is with a good team while Wemby's San Antonio is struggling.

But now we talk about his as DPOY which he is still a huge underdog against his country man @12.00, as compare to Gobert @1.02.

I guess we've seen him enough to say that he is no longer overrated as he has proved his skills already.

Maybe it has help him to play like he is expected to, the criticism he received made him better and now we are seeing the real beast in him. He is truly and Alien with a skills of an exceptional big man. he is still young, a lot of improvement he can do for himself and for his team, and as long as he keep himself healthy, the Spurs will likely be back to the playoffs again.

Odds now for DPOY, Gobert is still at the top, Wemby is next but not close.

https://www.covers.com/nba/nba-defensive-player-of-the-year-odds

I'm surprised to see Anthony Davis has fallen to number four on that list.  He was an early favorite to win DPOY after a great start defensively and I thought he was keeping it going.  He's even played in most of the games this season helping him shed the Street Clothes nickname.  I might have to take another look at the stats because I thought Anthony Davis was going to have his year, but now it seems that Gobert is going to win it again...  Not saying he doesn't deserve to win every year and his team is doing great, but I hoped we'd see a new name this year.

Gobert will likely win it as defense is only his main job to the team, compared to the other players below him which are Wemby, Adebayo and Davis who averaged 20 points more, Gobert only average 13.8 this season.

Adebayo 19.7 (rounded off to 20)
Wembanyama 21.2
Davis 24.6
