101  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Virtual visa or mastercard on: October 16, 2018, 12:04:58 PM
Hi, does anyone know of a virtual visa or mastercard that exists where verification/ID isn't asked for? I need to pay for multiple accounts on a website under different names, and everywhere I look, ID is required. I tried Entropay but now they decline my transaction when I try to load any cards I create. I live in the UK by the way. Thanks

Just forget about using any of these options if you are looking for options where KYCs won't be asked because really at this time, its going to be hard to come by. Say past two years we could have situations as that, but not again. And even if you manage to get one, be sure you will either pay more charges or you reduce the amount of information you will be giving compared to others but a complete anonymous platform is what I see not happening.
102  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Improvements in Bounty Campaigns on: October 16, 2018, 11:24:46 AM
Hi Everyone!
I'm a Newbie here and I would love to hear some of your experiences with Bounty campaigns.  ( some examples )

The question is : What would you change or might add to make it more reliable or interesting?

I think the best thing that could happen to bounty management is the restriction on the maximum number of participants a particular manager can handle. If a campaign is going to be inviting huge number of participants, then the managers should be more than one person. The same thing goes for the various arms of bounties being managed by different individuals with that, there would close monitoring and ensuring only quality contents are shunned out and improvement can be seen in that section of the forum.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin connected to our banks!!! on: October 16, 2018, 10:26:37 AM
In future if bitcoin is allowed in countries around the world and most online based companies will start to allow bitcoin as their payment currency/gateway/exchange. But what do you think if we would be allowed to transfer our money to our bitcoin wallet from our bank accounts like PayPal does? Will it be a good thing for banks and us?

This is what will happen because legalisation and allowance of bitcoin to flourish would mean synchronisation with already existing payment systems and I see this even going beyond connecting with banks but other alternative payments such as PayPal itself, Payoneer, Skrill etc. The challenge that could arise would only be on the basis of confidentiality which a lot of people would be sceptical about because the moment you wallet is connected to your bank, you are known no matter the privacy contract they are to comply with.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Total Ban on Crypto Exchanges Unnecessary: Hong Kong Regulator on: October 15, 2018, 06:39:10 PM
Total Ban on Crypto Exchanges Unnecessary: Hong Kong Regulator

The outgoing chairman of Hong Kong’s securities regulator has – unlike China – ruled out a total ban on domestic cryptocurrency exchanges, suggesting formal regulations instead. Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) is drawing plans in…

This is exactly what has been said by everybody in the crypto community for those who are not oblivious of the reality we have to face. Any country that goes the way of total ban as a means of is only showing forth the extent of their ignorance rather than the show of strength that they believe they are doing because in the near future they would realise that other countries that they have made their model have been developing behind the scene leaving them to grapple with manual way of doing things.
105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have we hit the bottom? I think so. on: June 29, 2018, 05:11:23 PM
A brand new Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency podcast that is focused on trading and investing. Hosts interview guests and discuss the latest news in the markets. With experienced traders including an ex-JP Morgan hedge fund manager to talk Bitcoin and big picture moves. Are the latest moves all manipulation or just demand driven? Is the latest SEC statement on Ethereum positive for the markets? When will Bitcoin see all-time highs again? Do Bitcoin Futures manipulate the market? Bitcoin ETFs maybe?

Up until early 2016, there was only one choice for holding cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin. From there, the marketplace has exploded. In this episode, they discuss constructing your portfolio and how to gather the proper information to make informed investments and trades.

Latest episode on SoundCloud - https://soundcloud.com/buy-or-sell-what-the-hell/have-we-hit-the-bottom-what-projects-are-exciting-developers-28

Is there some interest in a solely trading and investing crypto podcast? No bullshit, just talking markets.

Give it a shot and let me know what you guys think!

A lot of talks have been made by people at this time but rather than backing it up by actions, its seems its just talk because if every of the comments made by people and recent happening is being acted up through investing, we should be seeing some positive increase in price but rather its just taking a nose dive. However, I still don't think the bottom has been reached already because reaching the bottom means the next phase is the increase in price which is not something I see happening now at all or not close to it.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big difference in BTC price in local market ? on: June 29, 2018, 03:41:27 PM

You don't expect to compare local market traders with the global market because not only are the participants double but the infrastructure put in place coupled with the volume and capacity of traders is something that cannot be compared. I won't want to trade $50,000 and do it in a local exchange because it would mean I will have to show a video proof of my address and my bank notified of such activities while its just a small amount of money in a global market place where I get to do some minimal KYCs.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: MtGox Trustee Halts Bitcoin Sell-Offs on: June 27, 2018, 08:07:28 PM
I'm beginning to think that the era that news like this would start influencing decisions of participants in the is gradually over because since last week when this broke, I was expecting an upward turn in the scheme of events concerning bitcoin price but unfortunately its reverse that its happening which further confirms that all the downward or upward trend associated with MtGox has been nothing but coincidences.
108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you afraid of the market now? on: June 26, 2018, 05:30:40 PM
I think the next economic crisis will affect the digital money market.
what's your point of view?

Economic crisis affects every sector of the economy because the same player who operate in other sectors operate in crypto as well. We don't live in an island, if the economic crises would affect the real estate even as a player in the market, you will have to bear it because you will have to lay for rent. On whether I am afriad, I think there is no point for that, its not something that would isolate indivuaks that it will affect and being afraid does not change anything either to stop it from happening or to navigate through it when it eventually happen.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ATM machine for bitcoin reached kenya on: June 26, 2018, 05:18:13 PM
Bitcoin has now reached in some countries in AFRICA and this is very good to bitcoin users. An ATM machine for bitcoin has been launched in kenya and so lets call bitcoin a long last crypto currency for ever. it will stay.

So because bitcoin ATM is being reported to have been launched in Kenya means that bitcoin is just reaching Africa. Internet has made the world global for those who are ready to make use of it and to have access and use bitcoin, you only need basic understanding of the internet and an average user of a smart phone is already endowed with such basic knowledge and that is very common in Africa. The launch of ATM have more of financial environment and its surrounding laws that the popularity of bitcoin.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ronald Keala Kua Maria claiming to be Satoshi and registering trademark. on: June 26, 2018, 05:14:24 AM
Even people who are more credible than him.in terms of character have tried to lay claim to elthings related to crypto and more importantly claim to be Satoshi but it still didn't fly. What I see here is someone trying to get attention because how can you lay claim to an open source software that does not have anything to do with you in the first place couple with ridiculous claim of wanting a cut out of $800 and above transaction.
111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise from now until the end of the year? on: June 25, 2018, 06:44:34 PM

Some reasons I believe bitcoin is likely to rise next time
Bitcoin is dropping sharply from $ 20,000 down to about $ 6,000 by the end of 2017, but that's a lot more than $ 2500 a year ago.
Laws gradually intervene in the market, may form the law for crypto, institutional investors can peace of mind to invest in the market
Mt Gox is allowed by law to compensate bitcoin victims for a percentage, without the need for cash compensation, which could end the sale of large amounts of bitcoin.
How do you believe bitcoin will increase from now until the end of the year?

I was thinking you wanted to give several reasons then conclude. The fact is that if we all fold our arms and wait till the end of the year for bitcoin price to increase, it would be surprising that ww woild only shift the proposed good day forward because nothing would happen. Just like several people have predicted how price would have reached a high level as at this time of the year but here we are hoping for it to happen by ending of the year.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to deal with multiple accounts and abusing faucet? on: June 22, 2018, 06:45:42 PM
If you really want to stop this, or avoid it, what you do is to establish a limit that can be claimed before you will be forced to do KYC or some other thing that came to my attention is that instead of allowing them withdraw to their wallet, all you need is that it would be accumulating in their account on the website and won't be available for withdrawal only when certain percentage has been wagered and some level of winnings made (if possible to effect that though).
113  Economy / Speculation / Re: The bitcoin bubble is broken or not on: June 22, 2018, 05:38:37 AM

Recently with the continuous decline of bitcoin many people think that bitcoin bubbles have broken. I do not think so and believe that bitcoin will be even stronger because:
The current market is too small to be called a bubble compared to other financial channels.

Institutional investors have not invested in crypto.
Countries are studying the legal framework for crypto, protecting investors.
Do you believe Bitcoin will continue to break this year?

Making statements like the bolded means admitting that bitcoin itself is a bubble and claiming that its not big enough means for something to be regarded as bubble, then some amount of volume needs to be met which is equally wrong. The latter part of your post is a perfect response to those who have concluded no matter the argument for or against their position will not change. Propose your argument and not prove their case for them.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC payments in PHILIPPINES on: June 22, 2018, 05:23:51 AM
You've just visit the philippines? So what country you came from, based on your post history you're a local of philippines, right?
But hey, that's a good thing, if the store is using any other wallet or merchant I guess sending money would take for several minutes unless they used coins.ph and there client as well, so btc/fund will be transfered instantly without waiting of any confirmation.

You have just punctured whatever the objective he set to achieve by making such claim. When I saw the posts, I was a little bit skeptical because but didn't want to jump into conclusion by casting some doubt on his assertions. Taking a look at it, someone who went on a vacation and wanted to narrate it, would not just focus on the few things he was able to enjoy and thereby conclude that Philippines is a crypto country but it would encompass the entire journey right from the moment of dropping from the airport to the point of vacation. I won't be surprised if Op is one way or the other, related to the ship he is trying to draw attention to.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: On which basis ICO or tokens get ratings on: June 21, 2018, 05:28:34 PM
There are many websites like ICObench, ICOratings that make a list of new coming cryptocurrency and ICO and sorted them out by ratings which they gave to the ICOs. My question is what are the factors that they examine to rate those ICOs. Anyone can help me.
Thank you all.

Those sites used several factors which would include but not limited to the composition of the team, how workable is the project, the duration, the ROI, road map etc but above all, is the interest of the person doing the review and his involvement in the project which nullities all of the objective argument that might have been put forward and the disclaimer they always put in their review is what makes me to be skeptical because they cannot be held responsible for any loss that arises for relying on their reviews and making a decision.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market can be manipulated? on: June 21, 2018, 05:07:23 PM
Latest article by www.wired.co.uk stated that a newspaper by researchers  at the University of Texas at Austin's department of finance indicates that someone at Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange may have artificially inflated the price of coins including bitcoin, ether, and Zcash. The responsible for this appears to have been Tether, a cryptocurrency with the same CEO as Bitfinex.
What are your thoughts about this? Do you think they really manipulated the price? Is it possible?

Of course it can be manipulated no matter how big it is but the issue here is the difficulty in achieving that is where the real issues lies. All of the pump and dump groups, trading signals and telegram and other social media sites are all forms of market manipulations. But for BTC its going to some high level power play to have been invoked to achieve such high price that is being discussed in that research which could either be true or just conjectures.
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: cryptocurrency exchange hack on: June 21, 2018, 04:04:38 PM
I think its high time we started separating the increase or decrease in the price of bitcoin to singular events. Just yesterday, I have read on the forum on how a company that was license to carry out bitcoin trading was claiming victory as the reason why there was some small green witnessed yesterday and this same yesterday this article is claiming to have been responsible for the downward trend. How long are we going to deceive ourselves. Market participants don't even know what is going on in the forum or what happen to an exchange sites in far away Asia. They do their trade and hope for a better day.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 'exhausted' at $6k - 'bottoming process' could sink crypto to $4k on: June 21, 2018, 03:52:44 PM
where do these people get this stuff from? Shocked

"fighting back", "exhausted", "bottoming process",... it is as if the article is trying too hard to use words to scare people into thinking price is about to fall down hard Cheesy
the funny thing is it is not even showing smallest signs of drop. if anything it is showing signs of rise. ever since this "hack" happened the price has gone up about $400!

Sometimes I wonder how someone would invest his time on something that is not true and still wonder how someone would then spend his own time searching all over the internet for news then bring to the forum the question I usually ask when that happens, to what end. I believe its either to cause panic or to no value sake but unfortunately, aside from the newbies who moved by news like this, its simply just like one the news to most people in the forum and they are not moved by it.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: New Cloud Mining Company Suggestions? on: June 21, 2018, 05:37:39 AM
Its really going to be difficult brining anyone on board because the cloud mining market has been polluted to the extent that every cloudminng company has been adjudged to be scam on a 98% scale. So don't be surprised when you put so much effort in convincing and advertisement but the response is not commensurate with the quality response in investment. It was even made worse recently when a popular cloud mining company that have been able to convince otherwise decides that since it's mining difficult has increased and the market has crashed, it's best to freeze withdrawals couple with other policies.
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont Buy BTC Expensive, Wait. on: June 21, 2018, 05:24:23 AM
Dont Buy BTC Expensive, Wait. Whale want to sell you Expensive BTC  now, wait and buy BTC cheaper.

If this is your definition of how whales operate, then its safe to say that every trader operating in the market is a whale because every trader wants to buy low then sell high as that is what guarantee profit. If you are not comfortable with the price of bitcoin, you can try other coins every time is a good time to buy depending on tour need if you are losing someone is winning so also when you are making profit, someone is equally making a loss.
