Ok, I'm confused.  Probably won't use it.  Also I've don't thousand of trades here.  Not sure how to go back and include them all.

Nice addition though.  Hope it is effective.

The bitcoin market is already larger then 20 or 30 of the  worlds smallest currencies.
(would love to see more stats on that one!).
Did you miss the epic Vladimir thread? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=154954.0

I guess I did.

Here is the CIA World Factbook which lists both narrow and broad stocks of currency

Some important take-aways:

Anything that holds value is a useful commodity

Size of the bitcoin market is not important right now

What is important is that the bitcoin network is growing.

The bitcoin market is already larger then 20 or 30 of the  worlds smallest currencies.
(would love to see more stats on that one!).

I just skipped almost all the talks and talked to as many people as I could.  I figured I will always be able to watch recordings later.

ya that was a good plan as well.  So many smart, interesting people with some really terrific projects and idea.

And then there where Lightening sessions going on as well.

When one of the session got boring I cut out an hit up a lighting session on statistical analysis if btc price sings and that was on of the better sessions I attended and it was not even on my radar.

Great weekend.

did you guys see this.

Though it might be interesting.

http://btcmath.com/2013/05/bitcoin-2013-presentation/

The take away for me is that it is not possible to profit on intragox trading with a gox fee of .06% (1.2% round trip)  based on the historical price history.  The profit margins are too thin when you also account for the cost of getting capital into and out of the market.

Gox, or a high volume competitor needs to have a  lower its fee..

Even despite the $300 fee, there are WAAAAAY more people here than I expected!

Come stop by the Ask Bitcoin Experts table between the Bitcoinstore and Bitcoin Foundation sections. I'll be there most of the day. Had some toughies so far, but still nothing we couldn't answer  Smiley

Rassah,

1019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Three Paypal founders invest in BitPay on: May 17, 2013, 12:48:57 PM
This is great news. Tony Gallippi the founder of Bitpay, is one of the good guys and a terrific bitcoin advocate.

To my knowelege Bitpay is a "payment processor" and not subject to finCEN regulation that now requires bitcoin businesses that buy and sell bitcoins to be registered as a Money Service Business (MSB).

Finally, Paypal did not invest in Bitpay, the very wealthy and influential founders of Paypal invested which is clearly great news for Bitpay specifically and Bitcoin in general.

Congrats!
