Needs to go a bit higher before I get too excited though  The only reason I have bought coins is because psychoticboy is buying up and I think he will push the price to over 15k after 2 more reductions, but if he decides to dump out of EFL then we are totally fucked.lol you're not a visionary nor an investor, just an especulator. Assume the risk But you can change that helping EFL  more services, more exchanges, merchants... I like EFL as a trading coin because of the low supply. As soon as you add merchants the price will be pushed down as people buy. Guldencoin is a good example of why merchants and services is a bad idea for price gains but it's great as a currency. |

Current price is very stable and IMHO reflects its real value. This price level can be supported easily for the next few years without major problems.
Not this discussion again hopefully. Back then there was way little supply then today and no selling pressure at all. So we forgot about Clevermining already? Supply was more or less the same (this was before DIGI). With the big pump past year selling pressure at 1000 sat was only about 4 btc or something like that, while price was at about 90 sat. Now selling pressure is way higher. Point is that the orderbooks show too much sellpressure now against the buying power, that is no good and will be worsening if nothing is done. Rijk explained it very well, with good arguments. Not to mention if btc price goes back over 1k USD, what do people think will happen to high reward coins? They will be trading with LTC as they get pushed under 1 satoshi. Wildwest makes a very good argument that no one else has mentioned? Price vs. value... I keep pointing this out... we can pump the price all we want, but value is what we need to build (for IRL usage). This is why we are at 300 sat. But, as people don't want this discussion any more.... I made my points clear. I'll stop the discussion. I don't mind discussing it. I know your involved with AUR, why is AUR higher then guldencoin on coinmarketcap in your opinion? |

Honest opinions. I want to put a buy order under 300, what is the chances of 250 being hit again?
Potential for one more dip into the 200s while the block rewards are still 1000. All depends when the developers can deliver. We can all hope a multi pool dumps out this week. Crossing fingers 1000 reward is way too much for country coin, if coin was going for global then 1000 is fine. Look AUR, it hasn't released anything in over a year and has higher marketcap then guldencoin because supply is low. So reducing reward is good for coin and make it more competitive. Holy shit didn't see AUR is ahead of guldencoin on coinmarketcap, that is crazy what over supply does to squash a coins true value. |

Will it require finding a block or you just want to see if the mining works? I have a GPU I can test with but it won't find a block against the multi pools, if the reward change takes place though normal miners like myself will be able to get blocks as multi pools won't mine this coin so much. I will start mining NLG again on my GPU after the reward change takes place. |

I used to mine guldencoin when GPUs we're still good for scrypt. Since none of the guldencoin community have ASICS the block chain is moved only by multipools. This is reason for block behaviour. Guldencoin must have the largest non mining communities. |

Thanks for the updates Jared. I don't care what happens with the price in the short term as a break out moment can happen at any time. Trust me when I say I know I am behind the 2 best potential coins. The rest of the alts are just noise and BS.
Also picked up some coins as there is mutual respect between the 2 communities of dgb and nlg.So dgb must also be the real thing.It takes a long time to trust a project. |

The extra value that Digibyte, Myriadcoin, and lots of other coins (multi-algo or not) have over Guldencoin at this point is that they don't have meddling devs trying to play the role of fed chairperson, adjusting the total number of coins and emission rate well after the coin has been launched. For some reason this seems even worse to me in the context of a 10% premine...
MaNI, the meddling assertive Guldencoin dev suggested the change to a smaller block reward. Only if the majority of the Guldencoin community agrees with the plan the changes will push through. And you better lose your trust in the Guldencoin community then, because at this moment most of the NLG users want a lower supply. Did I miss the vote? Was there a public poll taken of miners? Merchants accepting NLG? Or is this just based off of 5-10 guys circlejerking on internet forums? Besides btc talk you need to look at the 2 different forums. official and community forum.I only browse those forums but lots of activity on them. |
