I really want to see the Miami Heat cause some problems for the Nuggets.
I see that many people like that to happen but the reality is making us see on where is this going.
Personally, I would like to see the Miami Heat win this game. Because that is going to make things a lot more interesting. I also want to see the final get decided on the 7th game.
You're not alone on this thought but it's convincing that this is really going with the Nuggets whether we like it or not. And if ever the Heat wins the game then we'd see some more chance for them.
But if not, then that's it and we'll just witness a history that's being made through the Nuggets. Everyone wants to see it go until game 7 not until Nuggets will win the next game or by the 6 but who knows?

It is absolutely undeniable that the Denver Nuggets are actually better and more confident in this final. Miami Heat is that okay out of sorts right now. The confidence is not there. But they will have to find confidence because this is a must-win match for them.

And I also am not very confident that they will actually be able to win this match. But probably they will be able to win if they give their best. But honestly, the chances look very little. I will actually say that if the Miami Heat can actually manage to win this one, they will be able to take things to the seventh game. But if they lose this one, then it is just over.

I even though that Aldana corner is going to throw a towel after first round, as Aldana simply ate all the strike Nunes throw. That was a total declass by Nunes. And that is why I am not a fan of women mma. If Aldana was a contender for a belt, then I wonder how bad all other kittens are in roster.
Her corner keeps on telling him to throw some punches, her counters were really successful but the numbers can be counted in literally the number of fingers in her hands. She just focused on protecting herself like she is too afraid to be taken down or too afraid to be knockdown. I don't like Aldana's performance on that fight, maybe she can show something next time. A better Aldana who can prove that she will be the 4th Mexican to win the title just like Alexa Grasso.
To me Aldana looked like a rookie, that is scared to throw a strike, because he will be open for counter strike. Not going to rewatch their fight, but I dont remember any good strike that Aldana connected. Check out scorecards, she even got 8 for some rounds... And stats shows that Aldana landed only 41 strike, while Nunes 142...

I don’t like women’s MMA, as it is really unpredictable, and most often women fight with their feelings instead of fighting with their head. That’s what makes someone like Khabib Nurmagomedov, so good. Even after so much trash talking from Connor McGregor, he did not move away from his game plan. And honestly, except for a few women, Most of them are not very skillful.

We witnessed an upgraded Oliveira so this could be one of the biggest fights in the lightweight division if ever it will come true.
Imho, I did not see upgraded Oliveira. Same pushing, muay thai and elite grappling, same immediate fall to the back when dangerous. Now the question, who Oliveira gonna face next. Makhachev ? Imho their second fight might be a copy/paste of their first, as Charlie is going to be the same. Winner of Poirier vs Gaethji? Makes no sense, as he has already beaten them.

Charles Oliveira fought really well and far, better compared to Dariush. I would just say that this was not a night for Dariush. The striking of Charles Oliveira was multiple levels above Dariush. Dariush should have given Charles Oliveira a hard time because he is a good wrestler. But he did not even attempt any takedown. It’s like he got beaten down so much that he forgot his strength.
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 12, 2023, 10:07:45 AM
It is obvious that Denver has the big advantage nobody questions that and maybe Miami will not pull a Cavs and win this series, BUT that doesn't mean that they need to lose the next game. They could still make it 3-2 and then lose 4-2 as well and when you are betting that's all that matters.
I guess it is something that the Nuggets won't let it to happen. I mean the game 5 is the most perfect timing to close the series and celebrate in their home crowd as their first NBA championship. Not in game 6 with Miami's home crowd that would be too boring to celebrate your first championship and definitely not in game 7 as it will be the most difficult situation in their entire playoff run. So, the Nuggets would give it all they have to force and close this series out and win it all. Even the sportsbook recognizes it, point spread is more than 7 points in majority favouring the Nuggets to win.

Maybe because the Nuggets are going to go really hard trying to win the next match which is going to give the Miami Heat a better chance to win. Because I believe mistakes will be made by the Nuggets. And the Miami Heat can actually take advantage of that in my opinion. I believe this is a do or die match for the Miami Heat. Because if they lose this match they are losing the finals.

I really want to see the Miami Heat cause some problems for the Nuggets. Personally, I would like to see the Miami Heat win this game. Because that is going to make things a lot more interesting. I also want to see the final get decided on the 7th game.
1044  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: June 12, 2023, 09:41:47 AM
If that happens, the more bitcoin falls, the more excited I am because there will be a lot of panic sellers, and that's an opportunity for us to own bitcoin at a cheaper price. Be greedy when others are fearful.

And if that happens, then altcoins will be even worse, and I suspect that many altcoins will be gone forever if bitcoin is dumped below $20k again. The past 2 days have been terrible for altcoin holders, most of the shitcoins have dropped 10-20% in the last 2 days. It was a terrible drop while bitcoin and ETH fell not much. Altcoin holders will finally understand what is the best investment this bearish season.

Obviously altcoins will take a greater hit of it, if we eventually get a further drop from here, maybe worst case scenario, we head back donw to test the previous low of $15k which is less likely to happen. In as much as there's gonna be pain in the market seeing your portfolios on red, but there's also a great opportunity there for people to get BTC below $20k if you have reserved cash or a new investors looking up to dive into the market.
Altcoins have been hit hard because the SEC charged them, the SEC declared all altcoins securities, but they ignored bitcoin. That caused panic in the altcoin market.

If bitcoin falls below $20k again, there will be more panic selling than buying, and I think only experienced people, investors who have been through previous bear seasons, will feel the excitement and buy bitcoin. I doubt newbies will buy bitcoin at that point, and that is the difference between successful and failed investors. Many people didn't buy when bitcoin dropped to $16k last year, and I believe they won't when bitcoin drops again.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 12, 2023, 05:55:18 AM
It's a very difficult and big thing that Pep Guardiola has done, it's been a huge success this year. Manchester City have had very good players in recent years and they are using it very well. They always have a staff and a coach who can achieve success.
I used to see them as a team that can do anything because they have a lot of money, but now I have a lot of respect for how successful they are Smiley
City, is the opposite of PSG. both of these teams, both have abundant finances. the difference is, City is handled by competent people, be it staff, coaches, technical directors, all of whom understand football. while PSG, are not handled by people who understand football. I mean PSG management. as it were, the coach was always to blame. at this point, I do not mean to discredit one of them. it's just that, there are significant differences from my personal point of view. we can see, how great Manchester City in recent years. all that, not always talking big money.
As far as I can remember, the only player City bought expensively was Jack Grealish, even more expensive than when he brought Haaland to the Etihad Stadium.  IMO, one of the things that has made City as successful as it is today is Pep Guardiola and his officials. he built City much better, and in this season, they were able to lift the champions league trophy including 2 other trophies.  I'm not a City fan, but I respect Guardiola a lot with the ability he has.

On the one side, we can see Manchester City doing anything and everything possible to have a good result. Doesn't matter the competition. They are trying to do well in the English Premier League and also the Champions League and also of course in any other competition. That's why they have 5 trophies in this season.

And on another hand, we have PSG who are trying their best to keep mbappe in the team at any cost. It feels like that is the main target of PSG. What is the point of having a great player on the team if you cannot win anything? And what are they trying to achieve when they are giving that kid authority over other players?

I think Lewandowski's performance depends on the supporting players. Even though in this case he also never hesitates to pick up the ball but in terms of performance he is a waiting type striker and how the ball is given to him.

Lewandowski this season has appeared extraordinary and the top scorer is proof that he is one of the deadliest figures for Barcelona so I am still confident about his performance for next season. even though in this case he can't be like now because of some problems I think Barcelona still needs to think about all the conditions to get him out because apart from not having a striker there anymore, Barcelona is still the same with the many problems they have.

Barcelona is performing well, and Robert Lewandowski is certainly someone who contributed a lot for Barcelona in the last season. But I still wonder if he’s going to be able to perform like that in the next season as well. He is a great player, I have no doubt about that. But he is getting older. Barcelona actually needs a young striker who can perform well. That will be the investment for the future of Barcelona. The question is do they have the financial ability to bring in a striker like that? I think Barcelona will go with Robert Lewandowski as the main striker in the next season again.
1047  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN BULL MAY BE IN TROUBLE on: June 11, 2023, 01:56:33 PM
May closed lower compared to April, of course this is an indication that the market has not recovered, when it was March and the price could skyrocket from $ 22k to more than $ 30k making us optimistic that the bull run will happen soon, unfortunately there is a decline and of course there are many reasons.

And if you look at it, there is one compelling reasons why the price in June has been hindered, it's because SEC decided to file a lawsuit against the top crypto exchanges which is Binance. Now the price goes down again to $25k and it really doesn't look good for the market.

Nevertheless, this is just a setback, just temporary for this year. Long term or at least in the next six months, I'm still seeing that the price might recovered for good, Might not be the bull run that we are expecting. But if we are going to compare it to the price that we have seen in the beginning of this year, then it's a significant jump.

The SEC only attacked Binance.us and some exchanges in the US market, not our entire market. They don't have the power to attack the entire Binance or market, so these effects will pass quickly. Furthermore, a bitcoin drop to $25k or less would be great, not as bad as you're feeling. If you also believe that all will be over soon and bitcoin will recover, then there is no reason not to collect more bitcoins now instead of worrying that things will worsen. We've been through much worse, and we've survived, so I'm not bothered by this little news.
1048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: June 11, 2023, 01:46:21 PM
Clearly most people weren't concerned by a correction from $30K, especially after the substantial increase from around $15K. I'm not convinced this will be the same if $25K doesn't hold as support so may well do a poll if this happens. I suspect the correction will go deeper and there could be significant panic selling if price breaks $25K, until another support level like $23K supports the price.
Obviously this can happen because the support is broken, then panic selling will occur.
Bitcoin hasn't really experienced a dump because it only fell -4% or -5%, but the impact it has on altcoins is extraordinary,
look at the altcoins that are bleeding a lot these days.

In another news, Arsenal seems to be closing in on contract extension talks with William Saliba [2] who has really impressed Arsenal fans last season and has become a crucial part of the Gunners squad now. Also contract extension talks with Odeegard is still ongoing but that is expected to be done soon also as Odeegard is very crucial to Arsenal in this upcoming season where we have to compete in UCL as well.

Ødegaard has a contract with Arsenal till 2025. I believe this is just going to be done because he deserves a better role in the team. The amount of money will also be changed. But I believe the main reason was to get a better role in the squad.

William Saliba has certainly impressed. Actually, Arsenal as a team had impressed. It is just that Arsenal was not consistent enough towards the end.

Anyway, William Saliba performed well. I believe that the contract extension off him with Arsenal is going to be good for both parties. It will be interesting to see how Arsenal performs in the Champions League.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 10, 2023, 10:03:10 AM
This has to be a one-sided match. Swiatek, it’s just leaps and bounds better compared to her opponent Muchová. We are talking about the player who is ranked first versus the player who is ranked 43. I don’t think we can predict the match just based on the one head-to-head match that they have at which was also back in 2019. Things have changed a lot since then. I absolutely agree that Swiatek, she’s going to be the winner of this match. For me, it is an 80-20 chance of Swiatek winning.

Swiatek v Muchova WTA final today. Swiatek has been confident and determined so far and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a one way traffic in this one. She had given her opponents a considerable number of bagels and yet to lose a set at this RG . Moreover, I'm pretty sure Muchova hasn't recovered after an exhausting semifinal against Sabalenka. The Czech has spent 5 more hours on court than Iga did (12 vs 7). Although, H2H is 1:0 in favor of Muchova, she managed to win in three sets back in 2019 in Prague. But all in all the outcome of this final looks quite clear to me - Swiatek to win the title.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: June 10, 2023, 09:14:15 AM
In teaching children if it is an out-of-school knowledge, we should assess the interest of the kid we wanted to teach Bitcoin about.  If the kid shows interest then we can start telling them the basic.  we don't need to go deeper in tackling Bitcoin because it will be too much for the kid.  If needed we should represent the explanation in the simplest way so that they can understand the concept clearly.  We should also observe if they keep their interest, and if in case they have lost interest in learning Bitcoin then we must stop since it will only bring difficulties for the kids if we push the subject of learning Bitcoin to them.

This is what I will do with my son. As a bitcoin investor, introducing and teaching our children bitcoin is something anyone would do. But many parents make the mistake of teaching their children too early and forcing them to learn even though they don't like it. It's something I've always protested on this forum, many parents are teaching their kids bitcoin forcibly, which is sure to do them more harm than good. I will also teach my kids when they are old enough to know about bitcoin, but if they don't like it and choose something else, I won't force them and let them be comfortable with their choice.

the best choice is to buy him little bitcoin and store in a wallet on his phone and ask him to have a watch on the variation happening. Surely he'll realise the need as well S understand well about the technology that can make change in the financial system.
Don't forget their country is a bitcoin ban, and OP's friend is a government employee. Telling him to invest more or less in bitcoin would also be very risky for him, it could even destroy his life and his whole family. Bitcoin is good, but it is not the only way to be successful, we have many other things that are as good as bitcoin. Moreover, he is having a well-paid job, which anyone would covet. The risk-benefit comparison clearly shows that the risks outweigh the benefits in this situation, so it would be foolish for the OP's friend to invest in bitcoin still stubbornly.

Bitcoin is a potential investment but also fraught with risk. It does not guarantee you a rich future, it does not provide a daily income for you and your family. It cannot be compared to a stable job with a high salary.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cautionary campaign about Bitcoin on: June 10, 2023, 08:31:59 AM
Bitcoin is the digital currency and had a capacity to replace the bank system. So many countries government was fear about the crypto currency and bitcoin.

I don't mean to go to war, but how will bitcoin replace the banking system? Bitcoin is just a speculative asset, an alternative currency, while a bank is an institution that provides us with many different services. Maybe many people will choose bitcoin as a store of wealth rather than a bank, but besides that, bitcoin does not provide insurance, mortgage loans, loans ... so saying it replaces banks is entirely incorrect. Some governments still ban bitcoin for various reasons, not entirely because they fear it will replace banking. If bitcoin can replace banking or is a real threat, other countries will not legalize bitcoin.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 09, 2023, 07:03:56 PM
After witnessing all of these transfers by Saudi Arabia teams this summer I started to wonder if they come knocking at Lewandowski's door as well. Because he is also 34 years old now and his situation is not much different than Benzema. His career has also been very successful so far and he is still a very beneficial scorer in general. But his age is quite suitable for rich teams from Saudi Arabia to convince him to play for themselves. Benzema has just left for Al Ittihad and the offer was really incredible.
If Lewandowski is also offered a huge package like that I think he would think about it seriously. In that case it would be really bad news for Barcelona because it isn't easy to find a striker like him right away.
It is still possible but only time will tell.
I still feel that this season he is still quite bright for Barcelona and it is also impossible for Barcelona to let go of one of the players who has been instrumental for them this season, moreover they may not necessarily be able to get a player with the same instinct as Lewa when he was just let go.
On the other hand, that doesn't mean it's impossible and indeed in the following seasons, we don't even know what moves the club from Saudi Arabia will make because indeed after starting with Ronaldo, every season it seems they always come and shock the transfer of players at very high prices so crazy.

I personally believe that a lot is going to depend on how Robert Lewandowski is going to perform in the upcoming season for Barcelona. If he can perform well I believe Barcelona will keep him. Because I think Barcelona knows that if he can perform well he will certainly have the potential to perform well for another season. But if he does not perform well I believe Barcelona will not keep him around for longer and that's where a Saudi league can come in and try to get Robert Lewandowski in the team. We all know that they don't have any problem regarding money. So they will not be hesitant to offer him a huge amount of money.
1055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: June 09, 2023, 02:01:09 PM
I have both, but I have way more Bitcoin. It's good to have options, but I trust Bitcoin more in a lot of ways.

Banking investments are good, but the problem is that it is associated with the government and has to abide by all the rules imposed by government. In this manner the government and banks have access to your funds and they put restrictions on it. Like you have to follow a certain rules and regulations for the investments. On the other hand Bitcoin’s decentralised nature helps us to invest in many directions with variations. And here we are the boss and we only have complete access to our funds and investments. This is why, I would love to invest on BTC at any time, rather these Bank investments.
Access to any bank in a country where we invest money is directly in the hands of the government ie every country has a central bank that central bank usually manages all the banks. If you invest more money in the bank then you have to pay tax to the government every year from that fixed amount. Another thing is that if the government ever doubts you about your money, you may have to account for all your money, which I think is very harassing. But there is no such problem with Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoins will not leave anyone else with access to that investment. And investing in bitcoins is more likely to be profitable than in banks so it is better to invest in bitcoins than in banks.

In addition to the fact that we will have full control of our assets, investing in bitcoin will also give us a much higher return than depositing money in a bank. But the higher the return, the higher the risk, the risk of investing in bitcoin is huge, greater than any other investment. So it is also not a wise decision to invest all of our money in bitcoin and only think about the profit and forget about the risks that we may face. In my opinion, diversification is the right thing to do, deposit some money in the bank for emergencies, hedging, and the rest invest in bitcoin to get bigger profits.
1056  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: June 09, 2023, 01:39:50 PM
Savings is a very good idea because noone know tomorrow. Some people survive in their old age because they have save earlier

I think saving is important, but that doesn't guarantee that you will be able to survive in old age by just saving money, you need passive income which can give you money regularly. investment can be the answer to this, because instead of saving money, you save stocks/bonds which can give you passive income or when you need it you can sell it to get fresh funds, and it can give you a bigger return.

or you can try to save on bitcoin assets and when you need it you can sell it quickly which can give you a much bigger return than what regular investments offer and with that money you can enjoy old age in peace.

Saving will not guarantee us in old age. But the investment is risky and can even cause us to lose all our savings, investing is no guarantee we will generate passive income if our investment fails. Why don't we choose both? We have both a savings and an investment for the future. That way, we can limit risks as well as create passive income. That's also my plan for my old age, small savings and a few investments in bitcoin, gold.
For me, diversification has always been the most important thing.
1057  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: June 08, 2023, 11:00:40 AM
Money, especially in large amounts, is not inexhaustible. There always appears to be a yearning for more, no matter how much one gathers.Even when one is financially successful, it is critical to keep perspective and humility. Money can provide immediate satisfaction, but it cannot ensure long-term fulfillment. Our aims and objectives must be balanced with an appreciation of our limitations and the potential repercussions of our actions.

Yes, the statement is true. Even if one achieves financial success, it is important to maintain a humble perspective and attitude. While money can provide immediate satisfaction, it cannot guarantee long-term satisfaction. There are other aspects of life that are just as important, such as good social relationships, optimal health, and personal achievement that are not totally dependent on financial factors.
How about it.. Sometimes I just don't want to read the sentence "money can't buy happiness".. The reality is that we need money to be happy, for ourselves, others or family.
In fact, I believe more in the phrase "increase your wealth, then everyone will consider you a brother". Or another case, just compare it between the poor who steal and the rich who are corrupt, after they are released from punishment, everyone must still respect the rich even though they have been corrupt. Yes how else, we are just creatures of materialism.

This is the reality like that. But again this is all up to each individual. because money can be a double-edged knife depending on how we use it.
Money can buy not only happiness but also health and time...I believe money can buy everything. What you say is real and happening in our society, but I don't understand why many people still haven't accepted and adapted to it. They always think that money can't buy happiness, and that may be true of our parent's society, but in today's society, that is no longer true.
My son is in the hospital, and if there is not a large amount of money to save him, he will die of a terrible disease. If someone says money can't buy health, what's happening to me?
1058  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: June 08, 2023, 10:52:06 AM
I support Cz with reasons that binance has done alot to earn it's communities trust, helping millions of users in the crypto ecosystem, and has more durable marketing strategy whereas the Sec is government driven and wants to control everybody.
Do you think Binance doesn't want to control everybody? why did they force their customers to complete KYC verification when they were not?

Even though centralized exchange make people easier to buy Bitcoin and convert to fiat, but if people only know to buy Bitcoin must use a centralized exchange, doesn't know about private key or seed phrase as they only know email and password etc, it will confuse many newbies since they think there's no such be your own bank in Bitcoin.

That's because they are complying with the law, and it is the governments that are forcing us to KYC through Binance and not by Binance. Do you think if they did not comply with the law, would they be able to survive and develop until now? KYC is something that goes against concepts like anonymity and privacy that bitcoin has created, but for a business organization, it is a must and must be adhered to.
Binance is just a business company, and what they do needs to be legal and controlled by the government. If you don't like KYC, then don't use it, they don't force you to use their service.
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 06, 2023, 06:54:16 PM
This is an outdated stats coming from NBA websiteitself, but at least we have a glimpse on it base on history.
Quote
Teams that win Game 3 of a 1-1 best-of-seven series go on to win the series 73.3% of the time (162-59).
Game 3 will be a crucial one for both teams because that increases their chances of winning in the whole series. In this 2023 playoffs, the record is 12-2 meaning teams who are winning in Game 3 wins 85.71% of the time. Right now, the Heat have to defend their home court, but in their last series against the Celtics, they lost 2 straight on their home, so we don't know if the Heat can win at least 1 in their home, and knowing that the Nuggets are 4-3 on the road, they have a chance to steal one. Anyway, I will agree that the Nuggets are still the favorite here despite losing Game 2, but that will chance if the Heat defend their home in the next 2 games.

I believe this is actually going to be almost like that decider of which team is actually going to win in the finals. The third game is going to be very crucial for the Miami Heat in my opinion. Actually more than Nuggets. We all know that on paper Miami Heat does not look as strong as the Nuggets. So, I believe this is a great chance for the Miami Heat to assert dominance.

It's because the game 3 will make one of them have the lead on this series. I think what's crucial is if this match goes to game 5 and that's where the turning point.

But then, you're right that the Denver Nuggets is still the heavy favorite on this series and we can't stop those that likes them to have it. While the Heat remains to be the underdog, 2 games straight will be played on their home court.

So, game 3 and game 4 could be where they get the momentum until they reaches the game 5 which is like the determining game for this series.

I believe that the series will definitely go to the 5th game to find the turning point. There are going to be too very important games in this series. The third and the fifth. The team which will be able to win both of them is going to win the final.
1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 05, 2023, 11:26:47 PM

I also got no confidence for Miami Heat this season because their performance during the regular games was not that great but all has been changed ever since they were defeated by the Atlanta Hawks in the first rounds of play-in, and then Jimmy Butler activated his playoffs mode after that with of course the additional of Bam Adebayo and other undrafted players that has been making good gameplay since they defeated the Chicago Bulls to attain a seat in the post season.

Afterwards, they kept on making history and defeated the #1 and #2 in the Eastern conference and became the one and only play-in team to achieve and participate the Finals.

The thing is when a team is inconsistent and is still being able to beat teams like #1 and #2 I start believing that the team is going to actually win when it comes to big matches.
That's why I am thinking of Miami Heat may really take the win.

That is for sure and that's what everyone else is thinking about them and good thing that they're able to get this game 2. We saw how Nuggets wept Lakers easily and that can't be far from happening against the Heat but it's all good now.
They did good and everything for their shooting was perfect unlike game 1.

The Denver Nuggets are still going to be the favorite. Unless the Miami Heat is able to take the 3rd game.
The third game is going to be the pivotal point of this final in my opinion.
