I a few months you will remember March 2015. - I was there, posting nonsense like an idiot instead of doing something useful to myself and the community and you will have to live with that

Is there a purpose to being a Darkcoin Foundation Member, is the board the only decision making entity? Since they are not elected and seem to be in very firm control of the future of the coin I would very much like to understand how the structure works, as well as the decision making. In my opinion Evan is the daddy so what he says sorta just goes to a certain extent. But there are a lot of invested parties and I would love some clarification as to how the decision making process works. What is the role of a darkcoin (or dash) foundation member?
We’re absolutely open to everyone’s input and always have been. We would like this process to be 100% transparent as possible. In the community supports it, I would support hiring a firm to handle the rebranding for us. We could allow the firm to engage directly and transparently with the community, then have foundation members vote on the final decision.Evan. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rebranding-followup.4266Awesome! So Foundation Members, not just the foundation board as I had mistaken? If I understood correctly, yes, all foundation members will have the final vote.

The code is open. If you don't like Darkcoin fork it, rename it, and make a better coin.
you are welcome.

You have a point. I'm still trying on the 'DASH' shoe. It's not a bad name, but I fear that if we lose the name Darkcoin we risk losing our online identity with the likes of WIRED and THE GUARDIAN, who are keeping tabs on our progress. DARKCOIN is bold. DARKCOIN is highly searchable. And DARKCOIN is what brought us here, into the TOP 5 of all cryptocurrencies.
1 article in Wired and 1 mention in a small Guardian article + top 5 crypto -> This is nothing, mate. We are talking about world adoption. Please, we are the early of early adopters. Keep this clear. We have achieved nothing yet.

Rebranding and Scalability: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg10713381#msg10713381https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rebranding-and-scalability.4254Because of this I believe we’re currently approaching a very important phase of the development of Darkcoin. We have a vastly different architecture that is capable of many things Bitcoin is not. It’s time that we start exploring some of the ways we can become a true competitor to Bitcoin. In fact, I believe the 2-tier architecture might actually be able to solve the ultimate problem Bitcoin faces: Scalability. However, if we’re going to be fixing the scalability issues Bitcoin has, we’re going to need a friendly branding that’s compatible with mass adoption.Cambio de nombre a la vista, parece.... Yo no lo tengo muy claro, la verdad.... ¿opiniones?

Two days away from my laptop and I have 15 pages of FUD attempts to read. Like old bad days with ebolajack. Please answer the questions nicely, but don't argue or quote the trolls. For an unknown reason people love to waste his pathetic lives writing in a forum of a coin they hate. btw. this is an international forum, and I love the respect the drk community have with us (the non-english speakers) and the broken english we use

I wish there was a way to use it in conjunction with starting masternodes from cold wallets for the ultimate protection.
I agree. Currently the "cold" wallet masternode start requires exposing a 1000DRK private key to an internet connected computer. With Electrum, it is possible to use a computer with zero internet connectivity to sign transactions with a private key, then go to an online computer with a "private key-less" Electrum to broadcast them. Once we have Electrum-DRK, it might be easy to implement a masternode start in a similar fashion (and for the extra-paranoid, use a hardware wallet like Trezor on the offline computer). Given the frequency of mandatory coldwallet starts and the ever-increasing $/BTC value of those 1000DRK private keys, offline masternode starting/signing (by means of a HW wallet or an offline computer) should be a high priority, IMO. I agree too. I think this can be an important improvement to the system. I think Evan posted something like that to be implemented in the next releases. Can you Evan or someone confirm this? tnks, bump Confirmed. Offline starting of masternodes will be supported. Thanks alot for the info. This will be really useful for the community to maintain Masternodes when we are abroad, far away of our beloved cold wallets

I see, a constructive debate is not possible within this community. Sad, that people just close their eyes and "believe" instead of "knowing".
hi, We have just now and active 4-5 pure FUD threads in this section, not to mention useless hundreds of pages just from troll attacks in our main thread. We have the automatic self-defense activated when see posts like this. Forgive us is we are a little protective to our project. Let devs talk. tnks.
