South Africa is not an easy opponent and considering they have some sort of beef on social media amongst their fans they will want to make it difficult for themselves. At this level AFCON has now become more intense and interesting and so no team will want to lose at this stage. Nigeria can win it if they actually work hard and become more serious than how they played against Angola because Angola has been their toughest opponent so far in the competition.
Nigeria has the potential of winning next tomorrow's game against South Africa, but only if they could play a more calculative game of scoring more goals and not the usual pattern of one goal, which they have always been known for all through the previous AFCON matches, because South Africa are known to have history of multiple goal scoring and likely to take chances if our "Super Eagles" give any, hence, it will be a more pleasure if our Super Eagles could keep fly as always to win this match and the trophy, as we are all eager to see what the outcome of this match will finally end up to be. Nigeria odds are 1.7 while South Africa odds to win are very low at 6.2. I don't understand why the difference is so big and whether bookies are underestimating South Africa. I think this match is harder than facing Ivory Coast or DR Congo in the final match. If Nigeria could pass South Africa then indeed they will lift the trophy most likely. In the other match, I think lucky Ivory Coast will pass and they will play the final game in their home. I've seen that game they played during the group stage of the African Cup of Nations Competitions and they're more of a composed side in midfied and attack, they looked penetrate able though it's all going down on Wednesday. They've not bragged like Angola saying they'll do this and but, they shouldn't be underestimated. They're off course one of the best side's in the African Cup of Nations Competitions. Erik Ten Hag was very happy to see the performance of his players who performed well in the match against West Ham. If Manchester United performance continues to improve, I think they will have more opportunities to overtake Tottenham. This draw meant that Real Madrid failed to widen the points gap with Girona because this week Girona also achieved a draw. Madrid derbies are always fierce and in this match it was really dramatic for Atletico Madrid who managed to score a goal to equalize at the end of this match, just as Real Madrid often did several years ago during the Madrid derby match. However, I don't think this result is a surprise, this is quite a decent result for both teams because in every fierce Madrid derby match, Real Madrid is quite difficult to win even though Atletico Madrid's overall performance this season is not that impressive. And regarding the competition for the title, I think there is nothing different, even though there is only a 2 point difference from Girona who is in 2nd place, Real Madrid is still quite the favorite. Madrid derbies are not easy lately, it's a do or die affair for both sides, I could recall how the was so aggressive against Real Madrid during the first half of the season and went ahead to win the game. Good to see them sharing points at least a good chance for Girona to catch up next week. But will that even happen? Lol They'll be without the coach who was red carded yesterday night and both the Captain, Herrera and Dutchman and defender Daley Blind. The best team is rewarded with major titles, while the struggling clubs only fights harder to maintain a spot in the UCL. High spirit coming from elite clubs, every potential manager keen on lifting the UCL trophy but it's definitely going to be hard one because it consists of more competing clubs. This season comes different, Manchester City and Real Madrid are the frontline favorites to win, perhapes there are other competing opponents that tends to take their performance very very serious. Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola are experienced and hoping for the big winnings.
They've both won it with different clubs, different players at different levels and they sure know what's best to do to lift the same trophy this season. I'd still say Real Madrid on top, Manchester City comes next. They're indeed sides who have kept or can keep a high consistent and winning rate in the Champions League and them various domestic league fixtures. Bayern Munich even with the arrival of Harry Kane has since some good numbers generated but with the same performance. They need to improve with how they play. In conclusion the blame is on Thomas Tuchel to improve when the performance declines. I'd want to add whoever proceeds to the next round between Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan, they're also top favorites for the Champions League! |

Milan were really below my expectation level in the Champions League group stage. I understand their group was one of the toughest groups. But still they barely ended up with the Europa League thanks to their win over Newcastle. Now I will be curious about their Europa League performance. Because they are shown among the favourites by bookmakers. However their consistent problems on defense must be worrying for them. They just concede many more goals than an acceptable level. I assume they would still be able to get past Rennes in the current round. But if they face a tougher team with strong attackers they would be in serious trouble.  They didn't impress just exactly like they did the previous Champions League Competition as they was sent and knocked out of the Champions League during the group stage. It's quite better this very season because they failed to qualify for the round of sixteen in the Champions League but they now have the European Europa League Competition to show working. I'm sure if Pioli does well or not he'll still be sacked out. They've been linked up to sign the Italian tactician Antonio Conte but I'm not sure since there's nothing to verify about that situation for now. Yeah, pretty decent with the attacking plans but not sure when to kill the game especially whenever they be taking the lead ahead of any game. |

Jadon Sancho might not be able to be permanent at Dortmund according to rumours. But I don't know about this. I think it must be depending on his performance in the remaining part of the season. If he manages to impress Dortmund officials and the manager then I think Dortmund would prefer keeping him longer.
His market value has already gone down to 25 million euros. I don't think Manchester United would demand a lot of money.
If Ten Hag is still Man United manager next season I don't see Sancho future at Old Trafford. I am sure that Dortmund will be interested in making Sancho status permanent and giving him a second chance to show his skills, and when Sancho returns to his best form, Dortmund management will benefit because usually they will release their best assets. The addition of Sancho to Edin Terzic starting XI was very helpful, Sancho is a player who can be relied on to help Dortmund finish in the top four of the standings this season. On the other hand, i feel that Sancho, who is still very young, will definitely be interested in a lot of clubs, before he was willing to move to Dortmund, Juventus was reportedly interested in recruiting him. However, what is clear is that I am quite sure that Sancho will not return to Man United when the season ends, because Ten Hag will likely continue to be the head coach, and Sancho will definitely be ignored by Ten Hag again if he returns. There could still be a future for the Englishman if he would wants to do it the way the manager has said before now. Another loss by Girona last night. Honestly their performance was really inadequate. 0.40 xG in the whole game is really poor statistics. At least they managed to keep Real Sociedad at their level as well. But this two-point loss can cost Girona really a lot in the title competition with Real Madrid. Because there is a potential to see the gap reaching 4 points. Real Madrid technically have one of the most challenging games of the season ahead today. They are playing against Atletico Madrid tonight. But as it is at Santiago Bernabeu Real Madrid are still in an advantageous situation. The head-to-heads between them so far have been really thrilling. I expect Real Madrid to have revenge on the result of the Copa del Rey game.  That wasn't no lose, that was both sides drawing and sharing points yesterday night. The game finally ended with both sides not being able to score a single goal. I did bank on Girona to win the game but they failed too, they has a slight chance of scoring but the effort went on to smash the woodwork. Today Manchester United will face West Ham United at Old Trafford, yesterday's victory against Wolves is certainly a motivation for the Manchester United players to continue their positive trend. However, in this match I also hope that Erik Ten Hag includes Kobbie Mainoo in the starting line up. Kobbie is increasingly confident about being part of Manchester United. He can prove himself if he continues to receive support. Bruno as the captain also appreciated Kobbie who saved them in the last match. West Ham in their last 5 matches did not get maximum results so the possibility of visiting Old Trafford headquarters is their mission to be able to play better. West Ham usually adapts when they face big teams like when they faced Arsenal and come out as winners. Therefore, Manchester United needs to be alert at this time because West Ham will not be easily beaten.

While having a season with many ups and downs it is nice to see some improvement by Rashford and Hojlund lately. They both made important contributions to their team against Wolves. The games are still going on tough for the Red Devils of course. Because their defending is just horrible... When Martinez returned I hoped to see stronger defending. It didn't take Martinez a long time to start performing nicely after a lasting injury. But Varane is still really bad. Would we see Varane being sent to another team at the end of the season you think? Rapheal Varane, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan Bisakka are the possible names that'll be leaving even if I'm not happy Rapheal would be on that list. Tjeya need get a player like him and who's much younger, I'd say De Ligt for Bayern Munich simce he's no longer in a good mood to stay with em anymore. A great and good player would not take time to settle back into a team. So much confidence from him when you watch him, good passer of the ball and good team player who's been pushing his teammates ahead. They did do well, No? Marcus Rashford should learn to pass the ball more for Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo would be more effective on the right win than Antony amd Garnacho. The best big match will be presented tomorrow, Arsenal will host Liverpool at the Emirates. The Reds want their position to be safe from Manchester City pursuit, and the Gunners want additional points to close the gap on them. Liverpool remains the favorite team to win even though they are playing away from home, last week they managed to beat Chelsea, and they have good capital to beat Arsenal. I don't see Liverpool dropping points, and Arsenal repeating last season history. It will be difficult for Arsenal to win the Premier League trophy this season, even though Arteta has good squad depth.
Tomorrow game between Arsenal and Liverpool will be very tough as usual but the winner of the game is unpredictable right now as Arsenal being the host is looking for a way to retain their position in the league while the visiting team Liverpool will be looking forward to extending their lead in the league over Manchester City with 8 points if they win Arsenal tomorrow but City is still very close to meeting Liverpool since they will have two outstanding games to play should Liverpool play tomorrow. The win that Liverpool got last week against Chelsea was a fantastic win cause they were too hot for Chelsea to handle but it's too bad to compare the performance of Arsenal to that of Chelsea because Arsenal is far better than Chelsea foe more than two seasons now. If I'm to be biased I'd love to see Arsenal as winners of the game tommorow, but if I'm not, Liverpool are far better options to consider even without the name Mo Salah as a result of his Injury during the African Cup of Nations Competitions. He's been reported to be back with light fitness but not ready to run on the grass. Absence of this man anyways has not affected the club, and how they've been playing since he left for the African Cup of Nations Competitions. Arsenal though was my own favorite to win the Premier, the way they approach the game against Liverpool tommorow would send a clear picture if they'll definitely be winners in the long run. |

Apologies for taking the focus of Nigeria, versus Angola, match yesterday, from the discussions on the field to the spectators on the seats that were enjoying the match, it was Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate who was in the stadium to support the supper eagles of Nigeria. He made quite a headline for being in Ivory coast, I personally applaud him as a notable personality in Nigeria, for being in the stadium and supporting his country, but I was surprised that some people were criticizing him on social media for being in the match venue live. I really think that it's a motivation for any team if a personality from their country comes to cheer them, the team will not want to let VIP and their country down.

Manchester United are so short of players this season that they cannot perform well without the right players. Of course, Manchester United needs a star while the defense is strong, but the attack is not so strong. So it definitely needs a star in the attack department.

There is nothing much a coach can do when his first 11 is unavailable for almost more than half of a season, even when the team does not have a good depth. In the Manchester United last match, we could see some kind of composure in the midfield because of the return of casemiro. Scoring much goals is not the problem, if the opposing will end up countering such goals by scoring theirs. If the defence is nice, even if the attack does not score much goals, the team will be fine. Exactly, they should have at least taken a look back to what Erik Ten Hag did with Manchester United last season and check both his winning rate and also how he got to qualify them for the Champions League Competition and also win them a trophy. These Manchester United fans are too impatient as they forget good things does takes time. They had a good midfied trio which was what lead to that thriving midfied against Wolverampton during the last game played. The club board is very stingy when it comes to buying new players and this will be a problem for whoever coaches. De Rossi could not immediately ask for new players because the club was very poor. I think the club board asked De Rossi to become a coach by maximizing the existing players. This has happened at several clubs. They are looking for a coach who is willing to play with the existing squad. I think if the club board didn't demand that De Rossi win the title then this would make sense. Maybe they asked De Rossi to improve the ranking as best he could. I agree with you, but a good coach will immediately improvise and work with players that would definitely give him success. It's the reason why I love Xabi Alonso. They had issues and he came just to trim the club around without buying anyone within the first six months of his job with em. I had a bet in for the correct score between Everton and Tottenham: 1-2.
It sucks winning it for so long in the match and then for it to be spoiled so close to the end. It shows the unpredictability of football and also helps Everton stay above the relegation zone for the time being. I am really struggling to see a way they stay in the premier league this season, but they are giving it a very good fight and will be in the race till the end.

I actually highlighted the game to finally end as a fulltime draw results and to my very eyes, I finally got notified after so much wait and patience. In today's match of Valencia vs Almería team, Valencia team won the match by scoring 2 goals. H. Duro scored the first goal in the first 14 minutes of the game. R. Yaremchuk scored the 2nd goal in 23 minutes. Valencia team scored 2 goals before halftime. On the other hand, Almería team was in the first half of the game. Had a poor performance but performed very well towards the end of the game.S. Arribas scored 1 goal in 50 minutes.L. Baptistão got red cards in 90+3 minutes. But Almería team played very well in today's match. I thought at first that Almería team might not score any goals in today's match.
It was a fine afternoon to see them winning especially at home in the presence of them home fans leading with two beautiful goals in the first twenty minutes of the game. They had a penalty called to see them take the lead but they couldn't take chance to convert it as the ball from the spot kick went far to hit the woodwork as it moved pass that left bar. Much focus right now on Girona, they should by no means disappoint, they should make sure they win so they can stay at a good position ahead of them next week fixture against Real Madrid. Like you, I support Erik Ten Hag. Manchester United needs a stable leader, and I think Ten Hag is the appropriate guy. I hope his ideas will pay off eventually, despite critics' criticisms of his style or player management. Team togetherness and his vision for the club's future are exactly what we need.
The Mourinho parallel amuses me. Mourinho enjoyed his successes with United, but looking back isnt helpful. You stated the team's form comeback; we should focus on that. Im optimistic as the players get fit. Long-term thinking and patience are crucial.
Gladd to see that support for the bald headed and stubborn gaffer ( Lol ) he's had some things and decisions go left this season but I barely judge him rather I hope for the best for him. He'll have to reduce the way he makes use of players like Andrea Onana and Antony right now for the squad. I'd want to add Marcus Rashford but it seems like he's ready to up his game for the club. He's not getting any younger and should take responsibility seriously.
