The Lakers just gambled for Davis and traded their young players for him, and why would the Pelicans trade him? That's because of the said issue, he is prone to injury.

That's not the reason mate why Anthony Davis was sent to the Los Angeles Lakers:

a) Anthony Davis requested a trade and he shows interest to be part of the Lakers team. New Orleans Pelicans is suc*s in surrounding Davis with a good bunch of role-player teammates for years that's why it just makes sense for him to ask for a trade.

b) Lakers just did a good job of trading their young players because having a young core seems not effective to them. Honestly, they tried to build a young core team and give chances to their young players to show what they got. The Lakers are playing with full young cores for several seasons and they didn't even make it to the playoffs until LeBron James came to the franchise. The Lakers are also taking advantage of LeBron's still on prime-performance that's why they try to acquire a Superstar-level to be part of the team and it's a timing that Davis wants to be a Laker. The Celtics even try to talk with Davis but he's not interested.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: December 04, 2022, 11:00:50 PM
however as long as the casino is managed in a professional way they can resist such a crash and wait until their clients recover and can begin to gamble normally once again.

Regardless if there's a market crash or not, I don't see a long-time operating casino will really receive some impact in a negative way.

Not all gamblers are traders, and there is no doubt that gamblers will just gamble for their own reason and I'm sure that's not a market-related concern.

The gambling industry, whether fiat or crypto-gambling, will be bigger and bigger whatever the market situation is. Good examples are: when the pandemic hit the world and in crypto, during the long-term bearish market, and the FTX related-issues.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 03, 2022, 06:38:26 AM

What an intense 4th Quarter battle between the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks.

Starting from around the 6-7 minute mark, every play of both team are crucial and a mistake can cost a turnaround event. It's like every possession is a must. Both teams also show good offense and they are literally exchanging leads. Everyone will be impressed too with how both teams show their good defense, especially those amazing blocks. Damn Giannis. He is really no doubt unstoppable and even defended well, he really nailing those shots at the paint. However, the Lakers were able to maintain their good phase until the final buzzer.

Actually, there's a chance for the Bucks to force an OT after Russel Westbrook missed his last free throw (he will surely be criticized if the Lakers lose that game even though his overall game is good Cheesy) and when Giannis grab the ball on their possession, he should not think twice to attack the paint as he is unstoppable and might draw a foul for a 3-point play. But instead, he passed it to Holiday for a 3-point attempt to tie the game but failed to do so.
1064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 02, 2022, 10:23:36 PM
He will definitely do that as he doesn't want to brawl with Inoue. Butler is a smart fighter, he knows his strength so he would just play with his strength, and though he is the underdog here (because people feels he has no chance) but I'm pretty sure he will take pride of trying to win all the belts at stake.

For let's say a KO win won't be a priority for Paul Butler, of course, what matters is to win, how can he gain more points each round if he will not go brawling with Inoue? There's no choice but to go toe-to-toe as there's no such thing as snatching an open blow if we talk about the defense side of Inoue.

The Japanese monster is also quick, agile, and versatile that's why it will be hard for Butler to play safe and avoid Inoue most of the time just to snatch a point. And with Inoue fighting Donaire, it's a good reference for him that's why he already formed a strategy on how to encounter a fast-phase and counter boxers like Donaire. Butler doesn't fall into that category of being quick and best at something.

Butler might be a smart fighter but so is Inoue. I like Butler to show the boxing fans that he will try to counter the phase of Inoue and not just by doing running, safety, and avoiding close bouts. It's good to see a boxer lose when it's clearly shown that they did their best effort to win at any cost.
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 02, 2022, 10:12:50 PM
That miss calls always happened in PBA and I think they should review the quality of their referees,

There is no doubt that the league only hires professional referees so we can conclude that quality is not really a question. Honestly, questionable or considered missed calls are being reviewed by the league especially if that call plays a big role in the final result of the game. Unfortunately, even after being reviewed or successfully changed, or modified, it doesn't change the actual result of the game.

The only action that the league is being imposed is suspending or giving a penalty to the involved referee and that's it. It will now be forgotten later on.

The referee's actions in a crucial moment really affect the result of the game. Might be favorable or not to a certain team.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: December 02, 2022, 10:07:09 PM
So, we have a fight as both fighters make the super bantamweight limit with no problem at all.

Here is the official weight as per my favorite boxing analyst/vlogger  Grin:

Casimero 55 kg/121.25 lbs
Akaho 55.2 kg/121.69 lbs

With this, i could say that Casimero's seriousness in the training pays off as he got no problem with the weight and the chance for him to win by KO increases at least with my speculation but the odds for him to win by KO is not so good for us ordinary bettors. At the moment it is @1.44 while @4.40 for a decision win.

Nice for Casimero. He really achieved that required catchweight and it seems no problem at all. Around 12 1lbs is now really considered as his comfort weight class even without affecting his usual lifestyle. Never heard any news that he struggles to reach that weight during his training.

I do happy that my speculation is wrong that this fight might not be possibly listed because this fight is not that big to consider. Good thing that it is still listed by some crypto-bookies and what everyone else is waiting for?

I will give a 90% chance that Casimero will win this fight although choosing what method he will win is a tough choice for us bettors.
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: December 02, 2022, 09:59:27 PM
If you never knew, the cock fighting is equally a luck base game, as in most cases is not always the biggest cock who wins a fight, just as in our normal MMA fighting, which requires skills, basic experience and more exposure to other cock for fighting will determine if a cock might either win or lose a fight during the main gambling fight.

That's what you called "upset" since if by luck, an underdog cock can land its "tari" (a metal pointed blade attached to a fighting cock's legs) into an opening spot and that means a sure Knock Out already. However, you can't rely on that most of the time that's why it's still better to refer to the fighting cocks' record and stats. It was an effective strategy most of the time although expect low odds for favorites (sometimes between 1.7 to 1.8 depending on the number of bettors on that round).

However, there are some flaws in this game too especially in manipulating the result. One way is thru the involvement of what we called here as "saltador" (the one that acts as a referee) where during the verdict stage, he might possibly give the other cock additional injury to somehow weakened and lose that match. There are lots of professional "saltador" here where even in front of the camera, they can hide their tricks.

Note: The terms I used here and a bit of shared gameplay are based on our country's way of doing cockfighting. I'm not sure how cockfighting is being played in other countries.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Unconventional Betting Strategy on: December 02, 2022, 09:33:42 PM
What I have put in bold is a confirmation bias. You have cashed out $1k in the same way you could have cashed out betting alone.

The cashout money won't be the same because the risk-money or the amount put on the bet is different if OP instead bets alone compare to when he shared his bankroll with his friend. Generally, because of their joined money, they are able to bet more passing the limit of their own supposed affordable amount. Although yes, OP has a chance to win alone.

We also have to point out that OP and his friend shared analysis with each other forming a final decision on what or where should they bet that's why we aren't sure if OP will have the same winning result if he decides on his own.

Well then, what matters here is, they have won already at this point. Of course, others should not think that they will have the same good result by doing such a way of cooperating with friends every time. It's no different from betting alone and we are talking about gambling here.
1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have Lucky Casino? on: December 02, 2022, 09:23:41 PM
I've tried playing in different casinos before but I still didn't find the luck that I need as well as the comfort that I want to stay on the site. Until I tried playing on Duelbits. I'm not being biased but I feel comfortable playing on it and feel at home with the community. I also love the features and types of games that they have that makes me want to stay on the site all the time. So far, that's what I could consider my lucky casino.

Actually, OP is referring to a specific casino game and not a gambling site as a whole where his game-winning chance is much better compare playing other games. That's why OP always considers playing on that game if bad lucks occur on other games he played with.

Sort of trying his chance to regain some of his losses by playing what is considered a "lucky casino" for him.

If you are talking about a site, as in the whole site, then it means regardless of the casino game, you are doing fine there. Good for you then.
1070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 02, 2022, 09:09:28 PM
With all the KYC talk lately I wanted to open up a thread and ask about your opinion.

The side of the user:
- Prefers no KYC
- Prefers anon coins as a payment platform
- If a KYC is triggered, they want to trust the brand with their documents

The side of the casino:
- Regulators are asking them to do KYC, but they need to find a balance on when it's triggered. E.g. to keep a portion of the user happy, they can rise the trigger to a certain amount.
- They are tied to a payment provider, either because of the license or CMS, and can offer only a certain portion of cryptocurrency.
- Users are abusing them if there's absolutely no KYC matrix in the system.

What would, in your opinion, be the best balance here?

Honestly, even if we propose something balanced here, what else we can do if KYC now becomes a must requirement for a gambling site? No choice but to follow or leave that site if anyone is not interested and feel comfortable on doing so. For me, as long as KYC will only be required in certain activities that a user can trigger their alarm, that would be fine.

As for my own approach, if KYC will really be mandated, I will study first the KYC terms of that site. From there, my decision to play on that site will depend on how the term goes. Besides, I'm open to comply with KYC for a gambling site that I'm using for long.

On the other hand, if it's about complying KYC with other sites that I rarely used to or those who are new to business, I will refrain from using them unless I saw something "special" that can lure me on that site.

1071  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: December 02, 2022, 09:01:34 PM

Moving forward, langyang Mavericks to. Alam ko naman na di sila maasahan sa handicap at ilan beses na sila nahahabol kahit malaki lamang pero kung paano tinalo iyong Golden State Warriors nitong nakaraan, na upset naman sila ng Detroit Piston recently.
1072  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Japan fall behind in the crypto industry ? on: December 02, 2022, 08:54:56 PM
However, in the crypto industry, we barely heard anything great from Japan, no leading blockchain ecosystem or any cryptocurrency exchange alike. Why ? Please correct me if I am wrong.

What's your definition of "anything great" that we are supposed to see in Japan? It's no doubt that they are one of the most crypto-friendly in the world and crypto can be used as a means of transaction there. Maybe we are not just updated on how crypto is going on in that country but it doesn't mean we can generally assume that they are falling behind the crypto industry. Instead, I believed it was growing more.

I want to suggest that you can bring this concern to the Japanese local section here in this forum to somehow target the specific audiences that can give a much better response for you but it seems the community there isn't active.

Anyhow, for research purposes, maybe you can consider spending time doing self-study and key-in on your favorite search engine with the keyword "Crypto in Japan" or related terms to somehow see some news related to it. From there, decide if Japan is really falling behind the crypto industry.
1073  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does everyone want to trade? on: December 02, 2022, 08:41:01 PM
So my question is; does those who started trading on binary faces this same issues?
And if yes how much have you lost so far?
How long do you think to learn to be perfect in trading generally both binary options and spot trading or any other trading?

There's a big difference in the way of handling strategies between a demo account and an actual trade.

First of all, your friend didn't feel any pressure when doing demo trades since obviously, no money is at risk. Therefore, no such thing as him being worried or under emotional stress since everything is just fine whatever the result is. In other words, stress-free.

In actual trades, we have a priority that we need to do and every action should be careful since real money is at stake here. Even a paper loss can already have an impact on our emotions that might affect our way of handling our trading activity. There's always a risk associated with each of our actions. One mistake can result in a big loss but on other hand, with a strategy, a big profit is possible in return.

Not because we are successful at the demo account, the same goes will happen in actual trade. Actually, losing in real trades is the best foundation that will make us better traders while we progress, of course, if we are really serious about doing that.

More importantly, the market will not adjust for us and not all the time, the situation will favor us.
1074  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bottom prediction? on: December 02, 2022, 08:30:52 PM
I am wondering if I should be buying more at these lower prices or if should continue to just DCA weekly.

No one knows what will be the result until you try.

If you think what's the best strategy to apply, you should do it without hesitation. Besides, both options are considered good to do at this point unless you are really looking forward seriously and expecting aggressively that prices will be much lower.

I think we will have one more crash personally to $12,000 before we start steadily going up again.

Difficult to imagine that price will crash to $12,000. The possible reason for another crash should be a "big thing" to consider before it can trigger the pull. However, there's nothing wrong if that's what you think since everyone has their own factors in forming an analysis.

Conclusion: Follow your own analysis whether properly and technically analyzed or just a product of your instinct based on your own factors.
1075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 01, 2022, 11:51:12 PM
We are now in a crucial part of the conference but San Miguel needs win because they lost a lot when June Mar was out. In order to get that wins, they do not need anything that could disrupt their established play by inserting Romeo in the mix. Romeo will not be able to score a lot yet coming from a long vacation in basketball, so it is best he is given the least minutes for now. He can be full-time in the next conference. Not disrespecting Romeo, but it is what the team needs right now.

Much better to activate Romeo in the semis if they can make it. At least in the semis, there are a series of games where Romeo can do some adjustments unlike in a few game series in the Quarterfinals. I understand your point that activating Romeo right now might destroy their current momentum. It's different in Fajardo's case since The Kraken is not a playmaker while Romeo shares the role of some of the key guards of the SMB right now.

And according to some reports, if Romeo will be activated, Coach Leo Austria will remain on the sideline and he will allow his deputy coach George Gallent to take over since according to Coach Leo, he doesn't want to destroy the momentum between Romeo and Gallent. Honestly, it doesn't make sense to me.
1076  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: December 01, 2022, 11:39:17 PM

As much as I want to understand what OP really wants (even after the edited post), I really don't get what he's trying to voice out. To OP, I think just go with the flow on how live casinos are currently set up. Actually, no need for some big changes or modifications.

Don't make things too technical or complicated.

For clarification, what are you really aiming for? Maybe we can provide you with a much good response.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Unconventional Betting Strategy on: December 01, 2022, 11:33:24 PM
First, it is a good thing to have our friend in a gambling engagement, what more exciting is that the strategy is discussed among friends and comes up with the best possible result of the match, more heads are indeed better than one, especially since all heads are sports savvy.

Actually, it's not the strategy but the most beneficial part of associating a friend/s in gambling is the combined capital.

Obviously, the big the bankroll is the better profit in return. That's the advantage of having a "cooperation mode".

OP is just fortunate that their analysis yields them a good return. Hopefully, they will continue their wild winning streak.
1078  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when trading gives you heart problem. on: December 01, 2022, 11:29:19 PM
In that case, entering trading isn't a healthy decision but it would kill you later.
In fact, there are a lot of ways to improve our living, not just trading alone. Since we have that kind of condition I think moving out and forgetting about trading will keep peace in your mind and are able to see another opportunity better and lower risk than crypto. We have to accept the reality that though we are all welcome in trading, not all are destined to become good traders as well.

Emotions are really part of doing trades. No one can avoid that as it was human nature.

That's where the part that we need to withstand no matter what. Might be harmful to those people that already dealing with "weak feelings and emotions" for a long, since the market can really give stress and disappointment to anyone, no excuse.

In that case, I suggest those people under that tier stay away from trading if they don't understand the risks they are dealing with. Like you said, there are other ways and opportunities to earn aside from doing trades.
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you expect from cryptocurrency? on: December 01, 2022, 11:19:24 PM

The idea of involving in crypto is good but don't purely our future on it. Make it well-balanced.

Besides, if you will just hold, how will you support your daily expenses? Fiat might be losing its value over time but it doesn't mean they are basically useless. Instead of treating fiat as a non-sense financial aspect, why not take advantage of their good use while holding bitcoin at the same time?

Try to think outside the box, or much better if we will totally removed the box.
1080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share your Crypto experience. on: December 01, 2022, 11:15:51 PM
I've seen a lot of newbies who engage immediately in futures trading and then they come back here only to whine about their losses. Well, that was their fault. There is nothing we can do about it.

It's because most people, especially newbies, are smart and bright during the bull run. They think profiting is easy as 1,2,3. The same goes with Future Trading, once they successfully gained some profits during the first phase of their actual run, their mindset is, it's not that hard to gain profit in crypto.

And after the series of wins, consecutive losses take place which leads to frustrations, disappointment, and regrets.

It's good for me to see newbies struggling since that will be their foundation in becoming good traders in the future.
