81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 08, 2023, 10:11:53 PM
I don't know who to believe, Tim Cone said that they've contacted Justine Baltazar and asked him to participate the Asian Games and play for the Gilas.
On the other side, Justine Baltazar said that he has never been contacted and hasn't received any call.

As far as I will give my opinion on that issue, I doubt Coach Tim Cone will tell a different story in the press conference right in front of several sports media reporters as that will ruin his credibility if he lied about it. If Justine Baltazar is not interested or really unavailable, there's already a backup roster that will deploy on the upcoming Asian Games. They are considering getting Baltazar because AJ Edu and Kai Sotto won't be available anymore to play for Gilas and maybe they tried again to reach him as practice will now commence maybe next week so they need to prepare now for the full lineup.

Anyhow, not a big deal anymore if what story is true as Gilas needs to move forward now.

To somehow fill the backup center position, I think Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser will be added to the pool. Let's wait for the final roster announcement.
82  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bots... do they work? on: September 06, 2023, 11:58:27 PM
Looking to get some real-world feedback on trading bots, the pros, the cons and the most important question... do they work?

So please, only comment below if you're actively using trading bots and how successful they are.

By saying "do they work", are you referring to generating an income scheme?

Technically, trading bots work based on how they were set up. They will "almost" perfectly execute a given command once the triggering point happens in the market. There are also features where bots will automatically execute the best possible move at any given market behavior or signals since we know traders do have different strategies at different trends.

Personally, I'm not using a trading bot but saw it before on a close friend of mine who has been a trading enthusiast for several years now. Although he's expertise is more on trading stocks, the idea should be the same if applied to crypto-trading.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take to play casino? on: September 06, 2023, 11:48:09 PM
It must have capital Cry

However, which one should you be more dependent on when it comes to making money from the casino!

Is it really good luck for you?
Which basic technique to use?

First of all, don't have that mindset that it's a typical thing to make money at the casino.

Treat it as a challenge instead and always remember that you are gambling here - of course to bag some money in return. Obviously, you won't just go playing a casino game by just placing a bet randomly and just wait for your luck to come. Yes, casino games are mostly luck-based games therefore try to play them with your own factors on how to attract your luck. Yes, casino players do have their own ways to somehow turn the tide in favor of them.

But always remember the important thing, once you are able to bag more winnings, learn how to exit and cash out.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the size and frequency of online casino winnings depend on the time of year? on: September 06, 2023, 11:38:34 PM
Do you think that there is a dependence of online casino winnings on the time of year? For example, for 9 years of playing, I received almost all the biggest winnings from November to May. In other periods, the game develops much worse  Undecided.

What time of the year do you win more often?

I don't really bother to know. If lucky, then lucky. If unlucky, then so be it. Gambling is gambling.

As a long-time gambler already, something like that is not even a big deal to me to think, not spoiling the fun though. The reason? Simply because based on my overall gambling experience, I don't remember a specific day, month, or hour when I mostly received almost the lucky winnings. Random winnings from different times and periods.

Maybe others noticed that they are winning much more likely at specific months because that's the time when they gamble too actively compared to their usual. Obviously, the more gambling sessions we did during that specific period, the more chances that we might hit big winnings during that same period too.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: September 06, 2023, 11:28:47 PM
This question can be very tough to answer, but believe me, many people won't stop thinking of that if it happened to them, so I want to know your opinion about how you would feel if it happened to you.

How did that question become tough to answer? A scenario like that is just a normal day in sports betting. Just let it go and move on.

To avoid such a thing happening again, make sure to always be prepared at your target match. If that's not possible, let's say you are running short of your funds at risk, then you have no choice but to refrain from doing any betting even if you believe at 100% you will nail that bet.

What if the result is the other way around? Will you be thankful instead that you weren't able to place the bet?

86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Control Your Emotions and Win More Bets on: September 06, 2023, 11:16:08 PM

Why learn how to control emotions? It's human nature therefore it's just a common behaviour. Just keep ourselves responsible and disciplined at all times. We can't avoid being emotional especially when losing and there's a regret. For example, a gambler under a big loss will be emotional and there will be things in his mind telling him to chase those losses. Fortunately, that gambler is always responsible for his actions and instead, relaxes his mind and decides to just take a break from gambling for the meantime.

Being carried away either during winning or losing will really trigger being emotional. We can't avoid that.

But as long we stay being responsible in gambling at all times, those emotions will be manageable and won't be able to affect those good decisions.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fan of casino reviews online? This is a must-read on: September 06, 2023, 11:01:06 PM
Forgive me as I don't know that a popular rating and review platform like TrustPilot can be this blind or maybe it's all intentional I don't know.

Since they are popular in the field of site checking and reviews, they will be primarily targeted by different gambling sites - sh*t or not.

Part of the marketing strategy too being listed at that site as more impressions, and more audiences, can lure more users.

If the "price is right", done deal regardless of the issues.

My advice to all new gamblers on this forum, do not use Trust Pilot to fund good-rated online casinos, they can't be trusted.

Since you refer to "new gamblers on this forum", for sure they already know what's the deal and the reason why they are here in the first place. Smiley

There is no single bad review about 1xbit on TrustPilot and I was like how the hell this is happening?

1xBit is somehow considered legit outside the Bitcointalk forum. Let's leave it like that since we can't do something about it.

More importantly, as a Bitcointalk forum enthusiast, we should just follow gambling sites that reach a "trustworthy" level here.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 03, 2023, 11:58:40 PM
I think with regards to giving Casimero a chance, Casimero must prove himself a bit more on this weight division.  He must secure impressive wins against his upcoming opponent to impress the boxing council and possibly consider him as the top contender of that division.
He certainly needs to prove everything in this division because it's not the same anymore when he was still at 118 where he dominated each and every opponent he faced.
This time, it's new to him and the people, even the bodies are still not that convinced of what he did hence why he got a much lower rank because if these bodies have thought the opposite then Casimero should've started in the Top 10 like the other boxers who made a name in their previous weight classes.

At least currently, the effort is being rewarded from being unranked before to ranked.

Casimero just needs to keep on winning to be eligible as a contender regardless of who os the opponent, ranked or unranked, popular or not. Losing should not even be an option as losing one of his future fight from now will just result from starting again at the bottom. Who knows that he will soon face Inoue but actually it doesn't matter as the goal is to become a champion again. Don't chase Inoue and just follow what on his timeline. If they will meet, they will meet.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rant: Casinos should hire people who knows about what they do on: September 03, 2023, 11:46:07 PM
..some small casinos may try to save money and hire inexperienced people but that would only go against their reputation in the long term.

I think that's not the case at most casinos.

They are paying for a service in a first place. Why hire those not capable?

To save money while having good customer support, they will just form a small workforce. It's not make sense to save money and one of they should do is to hire inexperience people? A customer support team can consist of professionals even how few they are. Aside from that, customer support is one of the pillar of a good gambling site. That's one of the criteria that gamblers mostly care about that's why it's a big deal to prioritize.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots with the purchase of bonus games - is it good or bad? on: September 03, 2023, 11:23:15 PM
We can expect to get something big from buying the Bonus but we still have to realize that it depends on your luck. Besides that, you also have to calculate the amount of money to buy the Bonus because we cannot always get any winnings from the Bonus. And only people with great luck can get their big wins.
Yup, we never know the results that will be obtained from 1x purchase, whether 5x, 10x or maxwin or even zero. It also cannot be predicted with any pattern. Someone can play longer with the bonus buy, someone else can run out quickly. No matter how much it is worth, this will be the same. Some people suggest using a buy bonus, if you feel you can't get free spins from normal spins. Others suggested switching games. This means that there is still a 50:50 opinion that the buy bonus is better than normal spins. The best way is, follow your hearth choice.

Obviously, those who end up lucky at buying bonus will say that's better.

But still, luck plays a role. We should not overrate too much that buying a bonus is a sure road to winning. It's just gives us the opportunity to skip those several normal spins and head straight to the bonus feature by paying a cost. Since it's not cheap, sometimes that's the reason why bankroll got busted quickly.

The result is still the same, depending on how far luck will give to us.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your perception about crypto games? on: September 03, 2023, 11:15:02 PM
There are varied crypto games we tend to be fond of that does rely on bullrun to maintain playbase. Another words they perform fine in bull market.

What are your views or perceptions about such games.

Are you referring to those games that somehow become popular during a bull run or just simply, those games that become a hype and really reach being top popular?

Simply, if you want to consider joining such games, always improved your DYOR as you can take it as your own investment. Your success here depends on how you manage well your assets here and how's the project will perform as it progress.

If doing such research, you can consider studying those popular P2E games before that is now not performing well and from there form your own conclusion.
92  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I found Facebook trading group they work with signals wolf of wstreet on: September 03, 2023, 11:09:58 PM

When I read 'pump group', that's where sh*t happened.

Pump group is like creating a false alarm to those who are eager to earn decently from a low price coin. At most cases, pump signals are not proven to be accurate or even close. Pump usually comes with hype especially if we talk about low cap altcoins.

I don't want to say that I'm against at that group but always be vigilant on what you read there.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is horse racing so unpopular here and a bit of extra feedback on: September 02, 2023, 11:59:33 PM
- Do you honestly think running a prediction game (run with my own funds) would attract genuine interest in this and not just shitposting quota?
- Would let's say 1-2 mbtc (per event, about one or two per month) be enough for people here to at least open a few links and take a look at what hoses are running and what their timeform is?
- Is anyone here actually gambling on horse racing?

If we take a recap, there are lots of threads talking about horse racing and questioning whether it's ethical or not. There are even threads related to that, if I remember correctly, that horse racing is a form of animal cruelty. Many people have shown different opinions regarding that.

Yes, I do bet on horse racing and have a bit of knowledge about it. I lived in a community where horse racing operators were only a few blocks away from our home. However, I don't know the current status but some of them are still closed today. Maybe shift to online operation. Not sure though.

As for your plan, we will only know the result once you make it live. For example, I opened up a Mobile Legends Tournament even without doing a survey if many users are playing that game. Some show interest when I make it live but most of the challenges do not end up in a real match.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you risking investment in other things? on: September 02, 2023, 11:50:28 PM
There is a halving coming next year to which many people who know and have bitcoins have set a target of the amount they hope to have in their holding by the time the bull run begins. I like to know if with this knowledge of bitcoin halving coming, if anyone is investing in anything other than bitcoins. I do not mean alt-coin but things like Real Estate, stocks, bonds etc. I know that Real Estate is good to invest in, but asides real estate, what else are you risking the money you should to invest more in bitcoins on?

Halving doesn't really have a connection to that. It's already common to see that investors want to diversify their investments by putting as much money into considered good and worthy investments and if some of them are crypto-enthusiasts, not just because of halving but they will just continue to accumulate as much bitcoin as they have. Personally to me, I don't have decent money to invest in several diversification which is why the considered options are only limited.

Real estate is not a joke and it requires big money to play with. Maybe the other good options for average investors are stocks or considering opening and starting a real-life business and investment like opening a physical store e.g. food, hardware, shops, general things, etc. or something like a service that is in demand in the community.

For what is the good investment to choose from, refer to the time when the pandemic hits the world and try to research the investment that got boom during that time amid people didn't have enough money to cover and support their daily lives.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Socialtournaments-A way to stop gambling addiction on: September 02, 2023, 11:40:52 PM
I don't know if many of you knows SocialTournaments where they hold free tournaments with different types, maximum multiplier, total points score and other related slot machines tournament, they are managed by Pragmatic Play provider and it is a way to invite people to gambling but I see it as an alternative to people who are addicted, they can stop the addiction as they offer enough daily, weekly and monthly tournaments to keep you entertained without you spending any money and if you are in luck and get the biggest multiplier or biggest score you even win real money to your account which you can withdraw to your crypto wallets.

I don't see how it can stop addiction where the basic thing to need to win here is to wage even more.

These kinds of tournament is already common and to be on top, you have to be on the leaderboards. For a gambling site that is already popular, the competition will be surely tough, and maintaining the position will be hard. You need more money here for this type of competition. How it can even help people to minimize and lessen their gambling addiction?

It's still gambling with just another tweak. It's even promoting gambling more as why should they care for gambling addiction?
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rant: Casinos should hire people who knows about what they do on: September 02, 2023, 11:30:15 PM
But in 9 out of the 10 situations, I've noticed that these customer supports don't know anything about the website, but why are they working there?

Just today, I was asking the support of a casino why the sportsbook section on the casino website is redirecting me to another platform and he doesn't understand what I mean.

There are lots of users who are good at screening, interviews, and showing what they are capable of during an application. That alone is the reason why gambling sites are able to hire them without a problem. They can only see if they are really good once in action. Aside from that, it's not the gambling site owner who is responsible for hiring these people as there are part of the team that handles the application of those who want to be in customer service.

Customer support also has lots of pre-recorded messages that they will easily paste as a response depending on the concerns of the users. That's why when talk about a specific problem that they don't encounter much, they will end up saying a response that we didn't find as appropriate.

I encountered lots of them already but decided to just close the chat and find another support in touch. I don't want to spend time talking about that kind of support. It's even better to just ask them in email compared to live chat as email support has lots of time to give a customer a much better response.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Glitches still affects online casinos? Or it's the casinos that sucks on: September 02, 2023, 11:20:39 PM
Before, I do also experienced that my game are freezing but it's not worse as you guys experience since I haven't made a bet yet and the balance are still intact after I reload the page. My suspicion is it's because of my internet since the signal in my area is not that good enough. It doesn't stop from playing though up until now.

And at some point, if lucky, after refreshing the game, you will notice that your balance added a bit because technically you won during the game freeze. It goes through but a little bit of freezing happened. Remember that the slot result is already concluded the moment we tap that Spin button and the animation is just for entertainment purposes but the algorithm already has the result.

Freezing or glitch in slots is rare to happen now. As I previously mentioned, maybe it's not with the site but clearly, the device used is not capable enough to run a smooth game. For example, a game provider like PG Gaming does have several HD slot games on their list. It downloads resources first for first-time users. If played on semi-decent specs, users can't feel much of the smooth gaming experience here.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 02, 2023, 11:10:22 PM
I agree about the statement of Coach Chot that other top teams didn’t even qualify for the next round and yet and we expecting to see Philippines in the next round?

Coach Chot really said that? A competitive coach shouldn't say that. What a bullsh*t statement.

I know the capability of Gilas compared to other countries. It's better to say and admit that we lack talented players to cope with the global competition. What the f*ck should we care for other top teams not qualifying for the next round? Instead of recognizing our own problem, he still looks at those top teams not entering the next round. What a funny statement personally for me and you really agree with that?

Saying that kind of crap statement is like saying, it's fine to lose because there are top teams that also lose in the first round. Smiley
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 02, 2023, 11:00:03 PM
What is the one behaviour you noticed in a gambler and  you dislike it? You don't need to have a reason for disliking it but you just do.

As for me I dislike when gamblers complain of their losses, meanwhile you hear them complain when they are getting winnings.

Always irritated and discomfort when losing. I understand the part of having a feeling like that but to the point that they will bring it into something not appropriate, I found it a worst behaviour. For example, if a gambler is currently on a session and has a losing streak, you will approach him just to ask a simple question and yet they will respond irritated due to the frustrated result they are experiencing the moment you ask them.

They are unable to show another person at least a bit of a cool response even amid a losing streak. Where's the good behaviour?

In the end, I will just ignore them and let them play. Good thing they lose LOL.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A typical weekend in sport betting-Why do gamblers still do sport bets? on: September 02, 2023, 10:49:33 PM
I am checking that in every single league of the big ones we have seen at least some surprise result and this is the typical weekend of many of the sport bettors.I wonder why do people still place sport bets because in slot machines I can understand, they run after the maximum payout and they know it is a game of pure luck, yet in here in sport betting it is not only pure luck, there is also skill involved and seeing many of the stronger teams lose their game today means that it is not worth doing anymore sport betting.

What is the reason that sport bettors still continue to place sport bets?

Just a typical day for sports bettors that they just want to continue what they like to do.

There's an interest that's why there's an eagerness to just play and play. It's like a regular habit now for these bettors to place a bet no matter what especially if te match or league is their favorite to watch and follow even prior to engaging in the sports betting world.

Aside from that, there are lots of sports bettors who don't want to just rely on luck playing slots.

Gambling is already risky, why they should add another risks by just depending only on their luck to win?
