1121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Know your time to HOLD on: May 18, 2023, 02:22:44 PM
My take on bitcoin in 2023 by the way it bought and was pumping pumping and pumping was like it will never stop. I thought it was my year to make my money and keep much of Bitcoin in my wallet. But the dullness of over 2 months has changed my mind. The scenario poured coldness in my mind but again let me know that bitcoin behaves like an asset and asset has the time to buy and sell not the way I thought it will always be be buying.

Golden rule in trading. There’s no asset that can perform a continuous pump for a short period of time. You can only see this kind of price behavior when you are using a long time frame and Bitcoin is the perfect example. You can only expect a continuous growth on Bitcoin investment if you are viewing it in long term as in you don’t consider short term trade to avoid emotion if there’s price action.

I have waited for the price to reach $25k for me to start pumping my money, it never reach there. I grows impatient daily, I won't wait more than 1st of July, any price I see it is what I buy.

I’m sure that you will still not buy in case the price reach 25K or you definitely sold again when the price dip further below 25K because that’s what kind of person you are according to your statement structure.

I don't like to sound desperate, do I sound desperate or determine to make money?

Bitcoin HODLing for years can not be a lost affair.

Badly desperate is the right term. You won’t be created this thread if you are not struggling within yourself.
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A long term investor here, thinking about adding RoLLBit Token on: May 18, 2023, 01:35:52 PM

Meanwhile, I don't have many OWL tokens, and they remain in my wallet. The OWL token is similar to the BFG token and can be one of the preferred tokens for investment. Of the many gambling tokens,

Owl become shady after dodging many accusation in their ANN thread and focus on their website alone. They cut their communication to the public here in the forum so I don’t recommend holding their token anymore due to their action.

I'm curious about which gambling tokens will be able to increase their price to reach the top list of gambling tokens.

The chance for an old gambling tokens to pump hard like RLB did recently is very slim because all of them have a huge supply that slowly emitted to the circulating supply. Gambling tokens usually just pump during initial release due to the hype to news. Overall, Gambling tokens is only meant for casino rewards so don’t expect anything big by holding it.
1123  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Alert! Brokerstorm scam my money on: May 18, 2023, 11:06:44 AM
I haven't gone through your links but you should consider moving your thread to the reputation board as that's the most appropriate board for this kind of post.

And if perhaps you have been a victim of the scam by the site in question then you should edit your thread and use the scam report format, I'll be quoting it down below for easy access.

Code:
[b][color=black]What happened:: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Scammers Profile Link: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Reference Link: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Amount Scammed: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Payment Method: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Proof of Payment: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]PM/Chat Logs: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Additional Notes: [/color][/b]

This scam format is not necessary or suitable on this case. This thread serves as a warning thread instead of an actual scam because of the multiple proof comes from different user and also the OP itself is just sharing the attached multiple scam accusation that he compiled.

@OP. This thread is noted and very useful as reference in case this casino made an introduction here in the forum.
1124  Other / Meta / Re: Poll on solving the imgur issue on: May 17, 2023, 03:35:21 PM

1: Do nothing. People will have to edit past broken images and use different image-hosting services going forward.

Do nothing I guess, There’s a lot of old post in the past that have a broken images when I’m browsing old post in the forum especially on the marketplace section that typically post images for the item they are selling.

It’s the author/poster main responsibility to update all his post if he really values all his content. I think the only exemption to the rules are those constructive post that have a high a value in the forum which created by an inactive user already.

But ofc, fixing it is not a bad idea if the admin will not sacrifice their time on doing it.

RIPPER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
HE Can even rip you for 20-30$ so do not do even a small trade with him.

Hey! File a scam accusation to this board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0.

Use this format:

Code:
[b][color=black]What happened:: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Scammers Profile Link: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Reference Link: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Amount Scammed: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Payment Method: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Proof of Payment: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]PM/Chat Logs: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Additional Notes: [/color][/b]

It doesn’t matter how small or big the amount as long as the user scam you so that other members will not fall victim on the same scam attempt. There’s a lot of scammer here so I consider your accusation but action will be done once you send proof.

RIPPER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
HE Can even rip you for 20-30$ so do not do even a small trade with him.

Please don't spread false info!

I'm on and stocked, message on discord

If his accusation is not true then why you delete this sell thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5448089.msg62058973#msg62058973 after he post the scam accusation?
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Confusion about sweepstakes and gambling on: May 17, 2023, 12:51:00 PM
1. Is Sweepstakes illegal in the US?

Sweepstakes is legal in US as long as it follows the guidelines on conducting it. It’s still often use by company if they want to advertise certain product to the public. Sweepstakes is just a raffle which participants is voluntary participating without fiat involved. They often using coins which you can use to exchange on certain reward. But there’s some organizer of sweepstakes that offers coins that can be exchange via fiat fiat to dodge the gambling tax.

2. Is Sweepstakes gambling or not?

The original sweepstakes is not a gambling because it shouldn’t be involved real money. But on the current state which using loopholes on the law. Sweepstakes is sometimes gambling. But in reality, it should be just a free raffle while the prize is sponsored.

1128  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: May 16, 2023, 04:43:07 PM

Will it be possible to register only with Metamask, without KYC?
Or will have to register first because of KYC, and then link the account with Metamask and then be able to log in this way?

Based on my experience with other centralized casino that have a web3 feature. You can register using metamask alone and enjoy the perks of NO KYC as long as you didn’t break casino ToS or anything that will trigger their security feature that will cause KYC. Using metamask to register is same with using an email since they are same Duelbits account. I think the only difference of Metamask account is you will be asked to input email later on once your account have a security concern.

This kind of web3 feature is same on Betfury and others since both of them are centralized casino in nature despite having a so called web3 feature.
1129  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 16, 2023, 04:33:02 PM
Is it safe or dumb to use your Credit card for online gambling because of free bonus rewards on signup and initial 3 months purchase? Will you take such risks with your card for such rewards? A friend informed me that some casinos gives better reward if you have a credit card with high credit score at around 800, he mentioned how he make 200$ from Freedom Flex after using over 600$. He also mentioned other like capital one

What are the disadvantages of using a credit card on online casinos? Any? Would you dare do such to earn more money?

I don't thing that using credit cards or putting an expected amount will gie you greater edge of winning. I think that is your point. When your friend used credit card and credit almost 800$, then he win more, you want that thing happening for you too. That's foolish. If using credit card will give you greater security,perks, discounts, and you can manage your money and gambling better, then use it. Otherwise if it is just an intuition for something, then don't.

I believe the main point of this thread is to check the negative impact of using credit card since he wants to get the benefits by using it on a casino. I don’t see any info regarding having an edge when using credit rather than the bonus which his friends told.

This thread purposed is just an inquiry for possible negative outcome when using credit card. I doubt OP will stop using credit card when reading some warning here since he have a friend that keeps encouraging him to use it.  Cheesy
1130  Economy / Gambling / Re: What all are your considerations before picking your go to sportsbook? on: May 16, 2023, 10:27:37 AM
Please do contribute on what categories would you like to see to compare sportsbooks.
Here's the old list

This list will be all-in one lost if you incorporate all the details that I will list below.
  • Loyalty/VIP Benefits
  • Minimum & Maximum Deposit/Withdrawal
  • Wagering Requirements on Deposit
  • KYC Requirements
  • Minimum & Maximum Bet
  • License Type
  • Restricted Country
  • Live Support Availability

The list I made are the typical details being inquired on a new casino/sportsbook. Your list will be a masterpiece if you can give all that details. Good luck!
1131  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Taproot ano nga ba ito? on: May 15, 2023, 03:38:46 PM

Sigaradong sobrang taas ng natin long term at apektado tayong lahat.

The script is very simple and easy to use. It only took a few minutes to finish replacing all my images and it works like magic.

I decided to create a local board version for our board to help my fellow local user to convert all those invalid images from imgur to talking.

Link to PH version: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5452715.msg62243640#msg62243640

Thank you @ TryNinja!

1. Na magsesearch sa iyong mga post ng direct link ng imgur.com (.png|.jpg|.jpeg);
2. Iuupload ulit ang imahe sa talkimg.com;
3. Babaguhin ang post ng panibagong link.

Paano ito gamitin:

1. Pumunta sa bitcointalk.org (kahit anong page).
2. Buksan ang browser developer tools sa Console tab (Ctrl+Shift+I or F12).
3. Paste ang script at pindutin ang Enter.

Code:
(async () => {

I believe many abusers is claiming too and taking the chance to win some profit out of nothing.

This is given the way Duelbits structured their bonus system. Twitter is swarmed by bots and spammer that abusing most of the casino giveaways. It’s easy for them to abused this kind of giveaway through the use VPN while they doesn’t need to KYC all the account unless they are asked when huge amount. Claiming code is almost impossible to don Duelbits because many users is already waiting patiently on their social media.

Obviously it is a difficult job to claim prizes sometimes we need also luck not only based on hand speed, luck is needed when we participate by getting gift coupons and claiming them. i will never get it because it is impossible to get any part of it. it won't work anyway  Grin

Luck by means being online on the right time when Duelbits drops their code on social media. A few minutes delay will cost you everything. This shows how tough the competition on claiming cash drop code here. Probably this due to their frequent doing this kind of activity that makes user keep an eye for this events.  Cheesy
1135  Economy / Services / Re: [Price-check] price of signature space of an average hero rank poster on: May 14, 2023, 03:58:54 PM

It depends on the price set by the manager, there are exceptional posters that are on a $ 50-a-week campaign and there are campaigns where the average Hero gets $80 or $90 every week, it depends on the campaign where a hero wants to join
so its $50 to $100 based on the campaign, mixing campaign gets the best rate for a hero account,

In my humble opinion, He is asking what’s his rate worth as an average Hero member. The answer lies on his self worth assessment because he has the free will to join the campaign which he likes the pay rate.

The problem now was the competition is very tough for an average member to become choosy on the rank. Even some Legendary wants to take a low rank pay grade just to be enrolled on a campaign. Asking for the worth of our signature space is indeed based on the manager budget allocations per campaigns. Some campaign value Hero/Legendary as equal since they have same signature code but others value them separately.

Answering the main OP, You knew exactly what’s it worth since you will not join a campaign that you knew that is underpaid based on your work.

As per average of all active campaigns right now. Hero pay grade is ranging from 65$ to 100$ except some campaigns with extra pay since average Hero Member can’t enter that spot.

my question is, is it safe to share bank account statement for verification purposes?  the site is reputable, but in bank statement all my information are available. is it safe to share?

Safe? It depends on the casino that you use. Also a bank statement doesn’t contain important information that will hacked your bank account. If your meaning of safe is about your bank money, the answer is yes. The only danger here is if the casino is shady since your identity is exposed including your statement of account.

 the site is reputable, but in bank statement all my information are available. is it safe to share?

Are you aware that the information available on your bank statement is the standard details too that need on KYC? You literally just undergo KYC by sending bank statement. Also you don’t have any choice on this matter since you already made the deposit.

I think if you aren’t comfortable sending bank statement to the casino then simply  report it to your bank as refund since you didn’t get what you transferred. The casino will surely allows it since the funds didn’t arrived on your gambling account. But quicker way is to give the casino what they are asking because unlike crypto, bank transfer doesn’t have blockchain to verify all transactions. It’s a must.
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some points that can make the airdrop hunters safe! on: May 14, 2023, 07:54:10 AM
This tips is new to me and very helpful if I’m an airdrop hunter.

The only issue I’m thinking right now is isn’t the best tips is to avoid shady airdrop at all. The chances of being hack the moment you connect your wallet on scam web3 website is very high because you gave them already permission to access your wallet or whatever code they setup to hack your wallet. Either you disconnect or revoke access then it’s still useless if the hacker already got your seed phrase during your initial wallet connect.

A legit project that launch an airdrop through their engagement usually doesn’t have any hacking issue. I think this guide is suitable when you connect your wallet on legit website that later on got hacked and not against scammy website since there’s a big difference on coding on how they access web3 wallet.

-Additional safety precautions is to use separate airdrop wallet. Move all your assets away from your airdrop wallet once you already do the airdrop requirements. This way, hacker can’t hack anymore your asset even without this revoke.

Still thanks for this tips.

Filling the weekly quota with OK quality post is not bad in my opinion. Correction me on this one if I’m wrong.
You think it's OK to barely get by in life, or would you rather live a good life? Posting on this forum is the same IMO. If you are just an OK poster and never really strive to be a great quality writer/poster, you will likely never be able to command a custom deal for a casino and will always have to worry that you'll be kicked from a campaign. Why would you want to be in fear every week?

The meaning of my OK quality is an acceptable or constructive. I'm describing a scenario which a user post prioritized quality and not not quantity since the pay rate is per post. I might use the OK quality wrong here but that's actually what I'm trying to imply on my post.

A user posting within the range with good quality compared to user that posting bunch of shit post above the max post count. This the case that I'm thinking but I'm not sure if that's the real case on my example.

Anyway, I agree with that campaign participants should do their best every week since they are being paid. This should be customary for every signature campaign participants when they are enrolled on the campaign.
1139  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 13, 2023, 05:18:59 PM
With the current competition for the highest paying campaigns I have seen in the Services section people being removed from the campaigns, having written just the 25 posts of the quota or maybe up to couple more, as an indication of little effort.
You mean people got removed because they wrote only the required amount of posts? Thats strange tbh. Imight be wrong here, but my guess is that they getting removed has to do more with their post quality rather than amount of posts written.

I saw a scenario like this before during the time when a lot of Chipmixer campaign participants was vacant. The existing signature campaign forced to reshuffle and now posting within the requirements is being discouraged by some managers.

The post that I quoted below is from the campaign that have a per post rate. I personally post within the margin because 25 post is not my normal post count when I don’t have any campaigns. Forcing user to make above the requirements while the campaign is on per post rate is bit contradicting to each other.

Quote
There are many users who are barely filling up their weekly signature campaign quota. It's obvious you are chasing your numbers when your total post counts are not more than 25, 26, 27 or even 28. We don't need such users in the campaign. If you are not having fun in making posts,

Filling the weekly quota with OK quality post is not bad in my opinion. Correction me on this one if I’m wrong.
