1142  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY btc.com Bitcoinist. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: May 29, 2015, 10:47:13 AM
Please, disagree.

I disagree.

There was also the email where he 'revealed' that the whole XPY ponzi wasn't going to be able to sustain itself and asked for ideas as to what to do.

I'm assuming the ideas were along the lines of falsely, and repeatedly, claiming imminent commercial tie-ins for XPY with massive multinational corporations etc. in order to desperately pump the price before scarpering when the SEC came-a-calling.

I disagree.

That's where Dubai comes in handy.

https://hashtalk.ch/topic/37911/good-bye-for-now

Good Bye.....For Now
MrCEO

It’s time to say good-bye. Good-bye to Paycoin and to the “leaders” of what can only be described as the now “tainted” Paycoin. While saying good bye is the end of involvement in the management of Paycoin, it’s NOT goodbye to Paycoin loyalists and investors.

Sadly, since the hijacking, extortion and subsequent theft of all the Paycoin controllers, the strength and value of Paycoin has only gone one place: down. It’s been weakened. Terribly. Since the end of January / beginning of February the value has one from well over $1.00, closer to $2.00 to just over $0.10. Wow.

I haven’t been involved in Paycoin, at all, in about a month…maybe longer.

The hijacking and subsequent extortion of Paycoin was done with the intent of decentralizing the coin. Not a bad intention, something had I been involved, would have agreed. But if one were to look now, the Paycoin Foundation is managing all the Paycoin Prime Controllers. How did that happen? How did they end up with just about all of them? Where is the “paper trail” that legitimizes their possession? Does anyone that is standing by this really care? (Asked rhetorically). I guess to some, apparently many, this is a version of being decentralized being managed by a single entity. But the “advocates” are good with that. Defies logic.

Today’s Paycoin is akin to blood diamonds (save for the lives lost), stolen from their rightful owners…investors, GAW and others. This method of operation has been extended to Mineral, which has also been hijacked…stolen by a “trusted” member of the community. And there was a requested vote by the thief as to what to do with Mineral. Imagine voting on what to do with the millions of dollars in jewelry obtained by the Pink Panthers. Who does that? People with zero integrity. People with no boundaries.

There is no integrity whatsoever in Paycoin in its current state. None. And what of those former employees of GAW who now are involved? None.

I’ve been called a scammer. A fraud. And so much more. My family threatened. Violated in ways unimaginable. But many are good with that…mostly a former senior manager and interim CEO at GAW who trolled us, then joined us, stood next to us and then aided those that stole from us.

But it’s all good, as many wish to stand next these folks. Have at it.

If I were a scammer, a fraud, do you really think I would stick around and subject myself to the abuse as I have? Put my family through it? Trying to salvage something that I hoped would be a game changer? Something that could help change the way we conduct business both personally and commercially? These are questions I am sure many are afraid to ask, as the truth is obvious but hard to admit. For many involved in this underhandedness it would appear that being right is way more important for those individuals than being happy; happiness clearly eludes them.

Whether wrong or right in what was alleged, it seems there is a consensus that feels by doing wrong will make all things right. That NEVER happens. In fact, they are doing the same things as has been alleged that GAW did. As I said earlier, Paycoin is tainted like blood diamonds. Led by hypocrites.

I have stayed in this, as I have wanted to make things right for the investors of Paycoin as well as those that have stood by us…by me. And I will continue to do that, however I can. My goal…our goal was to foster adoption and utility of cryptocurrencies. The intention of Paycoin was just that. And I will continue towards fulfilling that goal.

I continue to look for way to make it right for our investors. But not everyone will be happy. I / we will try and do the best we can towards that end. I am not abandoning Paycoin, but going forward will have nothing to do with the leadership of Paycoin. I haven’t in over a month. And it’s just been in a downward spiral since being hijacked, stolen and extorted.

Perhaps that has to do with fact that these “leaders” simply don’t have the collective brainpower to realize the mission…the vision that was seen and started by others than themselves. That usually happens; when the vision or idea of another is stolen, the thieves are typically not successful in making those plans come to fruition. That seems to be happening with Paycoin.

All that said, I can not keep a single investor interested in Paycoin initiatives. They know my background, but as soon as they learn of the leaders, prime controllers, and a community that seems to largely be ok with stuff like this happening, They don’t want to risk their investment being taken from a “community” leader to only find the community be largely ok with it. Honestly, I cant blame them.

The funding was pulled from Paybase Redux, all the beta customers have been refunded. I have paid for CoinStand two times once to Adam, then to Phil. Two times is one too many.

I can not speak to coin card with any authority, but that seems to still be on track.

I have no good news to report today, just the truth. All hope is not gone. We have been diligently working with a firm to take back what was taken. This would restore investor confidence and get things moving again. So for now, it has to be the focus.

Some interesting times are ahead.

Hmm, well judging by the amount of evidence it seems like he ran Ponzi scheme miners, then launched a Coin and said there was a 100 million CAF fund but there wasn't. The Coin itself was significantly premined to inflate only to certain addresses and used that to sell into the market in order to raise funds for adoption instead of the CAF fund buywall thing. This amount of selling then causes downward pressure on the price since all funding is coming from future investors and blaming others all the while he bought a bunch of cars with it (and later on couldn't afford the payments), lived a lavish lifestyle, from investors funds.

Where is the money coming from in which he paid for CoinStand? Was that money from remember hashlets? Uncle Stu? Anonymous investors? Why were previous bills of excessive amounts not paid?

What about the mass banning on the forums whereby anyone who didn't agree were banned? Shifting blame to others, crying when it all comes crashing down. The hyper inflating wallets and the way it's implemented is a bad idea because the keys can be leaked or stolen, the idea itself is flawed and a major security risk. All security seems to have been really bad as well, he let everyone else hold onto the keys as collateral for investment and pretty much everything got hacked in response to him banning so many people.

Please, disagree.
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Raspberry Pi 2 for staking on: May 28, 2015, 06:23:27 PM
I think paycoin might have some issues with it.  It has potential of huge upswing if I'm wrong.  But what that coin promised it would be is nothing like what it turned out of.

I suggest you might look into other proof of stake coins.   And I would guess with Raspberry Pi 2 you should have enough power to possibly run a few POS coin clients.  Only thing is the need of good internet to make sure you don't drag it down to much on speed.

It's PayCon [CON], not Paycoin

Also has Litestake which makes it more CPU efficient.

People asking about CON on cryptsy chat lately. Not a bad idea to keep it a topic of interest there, see if you can get an add.

would be awesome Smiley

Yeah Cryptsy is quite good, we can get some more requests coming in. I'm going to be busy over the next week but I'll still be around, won't have as much time though Sad

Cool cool, just don't forget CON will have to take over the world  according to THE plan and establish itself as the number 5 market cap coin behind the BTC, LTC, DASH and DOGE, which will overtake in the long run. I was a bit late to BTC, but I'm planning to become richer than Homero with this one Tongue

You know that Cryptopia also now has it's own marketplace? Technically you can buy and sell anything you want in CON now since it's a part of their market.

"The power of a bank in an online wallet, managed by a group of members with a goal doing good for the greater good of users of cryptcurrency."

Yeah, lol, kinda like when Homero Joshua Garza used to spout his bullshit about GAW Miners *only* mission was to bring profit back to mining.

Trouble is, his customers thought he meant them.

Homero never lied. Everyone just misunderstood everything he's said.

yes, and the trolls destroyed everything.

right,plus FUD

I wonder, isn't Josh the sole owner of hashtalk? and he's been gone for a week now, who is driving the bus? Who's paying the bills? Maybe hashtalk will go Gox style?

There has been some pumping on the old coins.
The pump won't last and I would advise everyone to prepare to sell the coins now.

lol, maybe it's the beginning of the next wave.
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XPRO - TAKEOVER - Exchange with futures coming! on: May 28, 2015, 02:18:46 PM
....so u have a bunch of pro u need to dump? otherwise u would start new coin. Thanks but no thanks

We have no interest in making a new coin. This one is already out, distributed well, on 2 exchanges and has a good block explorer. We liked the ideas behind this coin and we feel we can achieve what was originally set out, and hopefully much more. If we were to make a new coin with the same specs / features etc you would jump on and say it was a copy of this one. So there's really not much point.

Yes, it seems originally it was a scam, or a victim of excessive FUD - but that's over now, and we can start from the bottom and work our way up to having a stable coin and market.

Plus it has a good name Smiley

I guess I was the starter of the excessive FUD? lol

I'm sure it was the same developer as OmegaCoin that launched Pro, they didn't even attempt to deny it. Atleast you guys are trying to make a go of it instead of launching a new Coin since you'd go through the same P&D that all Coins go through in the initial mining.

ProTeam should do something for transparency since it's a newbie account, you need to be able to show that there is some trust somewhere. Either you can be a member of Bitcointalk for a great deal of time with a high amount of activity, in which case actions over time is stronger than something like POD, or to just lay it out on the line at let people know where you stand with coding ability and prove the team. You don't need to be a rockstar coder, I think if you want to run a coin that you would just need to show you are working on it and where and be upfront about everything and then if you can't run it anymore than just let people know so that someone else could take it over (or dump their coins, lol)

Good post.

We agree that making a new coin is pointless. Just about every new coin goes through the same dumping period initially. PRO has already been through that and we can now start from the bottom and move upwards.

The members of this team are (mostly) longstanding bitcointalk members. For now, we would like to remain anonymous. When things get off the ground a bit and start moving in a positive direction then we may be more inclined to be more public about our identities. As it stands at the moment, PRO has been tainted with the "scam brush" so we feel slightly uncomfortable linking ourselves with it publicly right now. In fact we are still discussing exactly where we want to take the coin and what we want to do with it, which is why we haven't posted many updates as of yet.

So.. as you stated, we will initially work to gain trust by results alone, rather than going off reputation. As things progress, who we are, and why we're doing this, will probably become more clear.

One thing is certain though - there is huge potential in this coin Smiley

Most any Coin could be decent on the market but I doubt people would want to be involved with something labeled as such. I think being anonymous would be hard and how can you prove that you are not the same person as before and not a developer of many other Coins making premine promises in order to fleece newbies, building an exchange off the back of 1000 burned in order to make more in fees from other Coins? Or even to mysteriously disappear from the TOR markets like the Silkroad2 markets?
1152  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY btc.com Bitcoinist. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: May 28, 2015, 02:04:15 PM
Buy now , and got  profit  . i suggest for all people in here , ALL in your btc for buy XPY .. got proft and we can rich

Not exactly, buy CON, not XPY. XPY is dead and CON is the future. All sheeps from hashtalk please dump your Paycoins and buy Paycons - that's the right thing to do given the current circumstances. Even Homero Ganza will approve that, cause he knows it's over.

even Ganza buying CON , i guess

Careful because Ganza Guano Homero might dump all premine and buy 51% of CON. It should not be allowed for him to buy CON unless he pays 20$ for each Angry

lol, if he were trying to buy 51% he'd have to set high enough of a price that 51% of the holders would sell, it is still a majority of people though.

wow. I expected at least some special breeds to defend this garbage. but it seems they all woke up from a nightmare by now.

MrCoins is gone long ago, Badbitcoin is busy cleaning up, and BITCOIN-BAR seems to reside on hashclub.org these days. I don't know of any other hypershills capable of defending this clusterfuck anymore. Next up - Homero pockets the $15 he collected in ad revenue from Hashtalk and sells the domain to a foreign-based Viagra dealer.

Kind of amazing that hashtalkers held on for so long, it has been an epic story with all kinds of twists and turns but seems as though it is drawing to a close.

Matlack, Matlock and Valawalladoodle should make their own PayCoin thread on Bitcointalk. They have interests to see the Coin grow and haven't been too bad, just talk with people and let people make fun of you. The "trolls" aren't too bad, you just need a little thick skin and a sense of humor, it would benefit them to be as accessible to people as possible.
1154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CON] PayCon™ POS 30 Coins per Block - Get your CON on! on: May 27, 2015, 09:18:20 PM
Quick question: what size should my blocks be to stake?

They should kinda be over 500 but it's all automatic and they will combine after a while if they are lower than this and are on the same address. It works very fluently really Wink This is next gen after all...
Yeah next gen ftw!

You can also change your Block sizes in a couple different ways, you can head to the RPC console by going to "help" then "debug window" and then to the console tab. From there you can type "setstakeplitthreshold" followed by the threshold you want to set if you want it higher or lower eg. "setstakeplitthreshold 600" would set your threshold to 600 and blocks larger than 1200 would split into 2 and Blocks under 600 would combine into one Block, if in between it would add the Stake and reward into the same Block. This applies to Blocks in the same addresses, different addresses won't combine together.

If you are new to the wallet, you should also go to "options", then to the "display" tab and enable Coin Control. Coin control has a large number of useful functions such as "SplitBlock" as designed by presstab from HyperStake. This function lets you split large Blocks into smaller ones in a more user-friendly way. Larger Blocks (larger than 1-2k) would Stake much closer to the 2 day mark but you may find smaller Blocks would yield better rewards. Test out some sizes and see what works best for you Smiley

Yes because a coin with the word CON in it is going to sweep the world.

PayCon has it's own entire section on the GetHashing forums, I'm even a made-mod now on Cryptoplays and can shadowban people! Let the Shadowbanning begin! PayCon is also now part of the Stakeminers pool and Github has been very active recently. Gawd created irony for a reason and for that reason alone PayCon will sweep the world, I guarantee it Wink

I was wondering where I might be able to help with some of the work on the improved in-wallet Block explorer you have been working on, I'd like to contribute somewhere after all the help you guys have given.

Right now the in wallet explorer code is closed source. It might stay that way depending on how a few things go. I have been focusing on some blockchain analytics and not quite sure I want to throw it all out to the public.

Fair enough, is there something else I could help with instead?

I would love to get cracking on a new project I have in mind. The ability to change your wallet's staking setting (split threshold etc) over the blockchain. So I could send a transaction from a wallet address, and if the staking wallet is set to watch that wallet for a certain comment, then it will change settings. I might start working on that project, but I also have a few other things in mind too.

I was thinking about this a little more and if you were able to use a watch-only address to change your settings then couldn't you also use that as a remote for your wallets, say to send to other addresses etc. What about across other Blockchains? Couldn't you also pretty much any other Blockchain as well like if you wanted to use your BTC wallet to send HYP somewhere else or even remotely control a bunch of different wallets from different Blockchains?

Might that be easier achieved by an algorithm based on previous performance of the Blockchain difficulty and amounts in each address? Like I noticed you have disable-stake based on difficulty, why not changing of the thresholds based on difficulty vs money supply?
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Currencies delisting from exchanges on: May 27, 2015, 12:21:48 AM
This a problem for most coins indeed,

I will be making available a open source exchange very soon, anyone a coin developer or a pool operator will be able to set this up with step by step instruction within a few hours on an ubuntu server at zero cost, you can start an exchange of your own in no time just like starting a wordpress server very straight forward installlation.

the open source exchange will make MTC Marinecoin as base currency however you will have the ability to add extra pairs such as BTC,
Your delisted coin also will have a USD pair and site users will deposit USD via Paypal IPN and start trading instatntly if they don't have BTC or MTC to deposit they can deposit USD or EUR.

There is no limit on how many of and who can setup this open source altcoin exchange you can or the community can setup multiple of them with different designs and their price and volume data will be listed on marketcapcoin.com

my progress:
as of today:

fully functional trading engine with smart order execution,
coin deposit and withdrawal to account name
fully automatic PayPal deposits
charts with volume, order cancellation after too small remainder on partial fills
secure user creation and login
trading engine logic,

currently
ı am working on CSS design and security implementations on database, and hope to showcase a demo very soon

It will take some more time but I am about to throw the life line for coins who are in need of urgent exchanges or coins that are newly introduced.

Marinecoin Dev
marinecoin.org
It is great. Now everyone can easily set up his own exchange and add his own coins. Once the trading volume reach some level, hackers will come around. What I am concerned is that what about your security level!

the exchange server is fully enclosed, wallets are also no outside connection to wallet except localhost, multiple steps to prevent coin withdrawal from wallet in case database somehow gets injected with an overbalance. many safety nets to catch illegit withdrawal requests will be implemented.

I hope you mean that it will be completely opensource in that people can dig through the code itself and use their own Coin as the base instead of MarineCoin. The reason I am saying this is because I was around for MarineCoins inception and the developers made wild claims about giant yachts, MarineCoin cities, and a fake marketcap higher than BTC. If it is completely open source and Communities can opt to use whatever Coins they want, it would be a much bigger boost for MarineCoin than if it's only pseudo open-source and have to use MarineCoin as the base pair. I do appreciate that the developers are still working on MarineCoin after all this time, for me there are trust issues there but to do something like open-sourcing an exchange that Coins can easily setup would be a great step in gaining wider acceptance of the community in general.

open-source anyone will be able to dig in to the code and inspect. However exchange engines are very complex even small changes may cause disastrous effects on sum of the balances we will advice not to change anything MTC wallet will provide hashing to secure pairing wallets have liquid funds, it took alot of effort and time to get it right ı highly doubt anyone will spend equal amount of attention to detail while making changes and making changes will be very very hard.

MTC wallet is at the core security and transparency provider of this exchnage by various signed message functions, this will not mean other coins can not be paired with others but exchange providers will find its best practice not to implement changes to the code as it will not be necessary and will reduce risks significantly.

I will also advice to stay away from knocked off variants of the official exchange that will be posted on github.

Interesting and looking forward to see how it comes out, I'll definitely check it out and sounds like a great idea to promote MarineCoin.

Cres, does that mean Dogecoin has a good chance of being up there with BTC?  Grin

Also a little advice to the bagholders...

If your trading strategy is "investing" aka buy and hold.  Stop.  Throw Buffet style investment strategies out the window because crypto has no fundamentals.  Only potential.

If a few people were to be able to design a better inflation model then "yes" but currently the only difference is the Block times and running on Scrypt which Bitcoin could also adapt so unless it was radically different and provided something better then I will say that it won't be bigger than BTC because BTC is more established and is always chosen first before Doge.

If this market is made then what is stopping ProTeam from stealing customers Coins from the market itself?
