1141  Other / Off-topic / Re: Foxpup's Merit Cycling Club 🦊 🔥 🔞 5th Anniversary Foxhole Exhibition [NSFW] on: March 13, 2024, 07:22:20 PM
I'll miss my fellow cycling club member o_e_l_e_o for a very long time. It's hard to believe Foxpup's Merit Cycling Club has existed long enough for members to be forced to leave because of diseases Sad

🦊 5K-RESOLUTION FOXXXY FUROTICA 🦊
(For everyone else, the above linked image is naturally not safe for work, in case, like apogio, this is your first time in the foxhole and don't yet know what to expect here.)[/center]
You've outdone yourself again!

Foxpup, thanks for taking me in Smiley

Which also means this is their first time in the foxhole, so try not to be too rough.
So, is this my punishment? Not allowing them to be rough with me? How will I survive without some rough punishments and jokes in here?
Allow me to highlight the words "try" and "too" Tongue Fasten your seatbelt Intern, you're going to need it!

I'm going to start drinking my Ouzo now Smiley

Thanks again for your flawless timing! I'm sorry to be late to the party, my wife got home late today so the kids needed more of my attention. It's been 5 great years Smiley And with that, I'll move over to the party topic

Judging by the stains, you've had lots of fun with her Tongue

^That is, of course, 168h per day, not per month... Just felt the need to explain this to TP as well Cheesy So 168h per day...
That's impossible.  Just impossible.
Lol. Time travel amateurs Cheesy I'll relive the coming week many times Cheesy

When typing in Google, two results appear
You should NOT trust Google to provide non-phishing sites. The one you posted is not the site in coinableS's profile.

It looks like the original abandoned. The only safe choice is not using it anymore.
1145  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI Spam Report Reference Thread on: March 13, 2024, 10:04:42 AM
How about BitcoinTransactionBoost?
He's posting BS on the tech board to promote his (equally BS) website, and gives me a chatbot spammer vibe:
It's important to consider different perspectives on the effectiveness of rebroadcasting transactions. While it's true that some nodes may keep unconfirmed transactions in their mempool for longer periods and that increasing the fee or respending the transaction can be options for some users, not all users may be aware of or have access to these options.

Offering a rebroadcasting service can provide a valuable alternative for users who may not want to or cannot increase the fee or respend the transaction. It can also serve as a temporary measure to keep the transaction in the mempool and prevent it from being dropped by nodes, giving users more time to explore other options or wait for network conditions to improve. while rebroadcasting transactions may not be the ideal solution for all cases, it can still be a helpful service for certain users in specific situations.
1146  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM REPORT | Heisenberg63 on: March 13, 2024, 09:58:27 AM
The use of the same LTC address(Lf3H5K7g6yGZGFNSd23zMZ36kvV7GkT8b3), on 2/18 and 3/9, makes this case fairly damning.

I cannot image why a scammer that stole the phone would provide the same LTC address as the original owner.
Because he emptied my wallet as well, I think he used my wallet not to raise any suspicions with my guys.
I'm not buying it. In the past week, that address received 2 large transactions, and both took 2 hours to send the funds. If there's a (third party) scammer, he would have moved the funds a lot faster. If a scammer gained access to your wallet, you would have moved the funds by yourself a lot faster.
1147  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SpeedyBTC: Free Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator Booster on: March 13, 2024, 09:48:41 AM
At least for the ones who paid low fee have higher chances of getting confirmed sooner than estimation at high node congestions.
You're still at it. What you're saying is not true.

Quote
But remember I must also pay for the hosting services
You "must"? Who's making you pay for this?

prevent nodes from dropping the transaction, giving the sender more time to potentially increase the fee
This is BS. If anything, it's the exact opposite.

Quote
providing a free rebroadcasting service can be valuable to users who may not have immediate access to other means of accelerating their transactions.
Broadcasting: many websites offer to re-broadcast transactions.
Accelerating: stop using that word. People have been tagged for spreading incorrect information on the tech boards.
1148  Other / Meta / Re: Bad behavior made by Newbies or Beginners on: March 13, 2024, 09:42:29 AM
I'd say the "Newbies or Beginners" did good ignorning a topic that breaks forum rules. Forum-based games belong in Games and rounds, unless you get Admin's approval for another board.

The title ("👑👑👑 🚀💰CHALLENGE/CONTEST FOR BEGINNERS BTC PRIZE SIGN MESSAGE 🎉🎉🎉🚀💰") looks like a spam thread. I see a picture of guys and the topic continues about the NBA. I expect the majority of Bitcoin users not to care about the NBA. The title and all your posts in the topic ARE SCREAMING! That's against basic netiquette.

But this is the worst part:
DISSAPOINTED FOR THE BEGINNERS BEHAVIOR
You're seriously disappointed in people not caring about what you have to offer? What would you want to do: force people to comment in your topic?
1149  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SpeedyBTC: Free Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator Booster on: March 13, 2024, 09:10:27 AM
i wonder whether we should give neutral (or even negative) feedback to such service
I'm more in favour of educating people. OP should know his "service" doesn't work, and any Bitcoin user should know it too.

Update: I'll leave neutral feedback for spreading BS on the tech boards and spamming chat AI's verbal diarrhea.
1150  Other / Meta / Re: Should speculation about satoshi's identity be subject to doxxing rules? on: March 13, 2024, 09:07:46 AM
Millions of people use Bitcoin, isn't it their right to know who created the coin that they use?
No. Someone created something great. Using it doesn't give you any special rights. In case you still have your doubts, you should read the MIT software license under which Bitcoin Core is distributed:

1151  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is there a place for medical discuss? on: March 13, 2024, 08:56:27 AM
Are you sure you read the details well before registering on the website? It's a crypto forum and not some health service forum.
OP could just as well have registered on a construction forum to ask medical questions Tongue Let's ask about Bitcoin on a nursing forum Tongue

Let us expect no traffic through the site
Don't create backlinks to sites that shouldn't be visited Wink

Screenshot #1 (Accelerating Transaction):
Cute. If only the creators of Bitcoin would have thought of a way to broadcast all transactions to all nodes once you broadcast it. O wait, they did Smiley

You're asking donations for a "service" that does nothing.

For the beginners who think this helps: Bitcoin miners prioritize transactions with the highest fee per vbyte. That way, they maximize their profit and ignore the transactions that don't pay enough. Broadcasting again is just telling them again you have a cheap transaction waiting, and they won't increase your priority. Read more about optimizing fees in my consolidation topic.

There is this one from @coinables: https://segwitadress.org/
DO NOT TRUST THIS URL, it contains a typo and could very well be a phishing site.
1155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Logrotate not working for Bitcoin Core log file on: March 12, 2024, 06:35:36 PM
I'm not sure exactly what I would have to do to "give logrotate access to my wallet".
Usually, logrotate is used for system logs, which usually are stored in /var/log. Bitcoin Core's debug.log is (by default) stored inside your user directory. It's probably going to be okay, but I like to keep default OPSEC by not giving any program read-access to data it doesn't need. But now that I'm typing this, I'm wondering if logrotate doesn't use root-permissions by default anyway.
1156  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: VanitySearch (Yet another address prefix finder) on: March 12, 2024, 03:22:38 PM
I am surprised LloyceV would say it should not happen because I know he knows about vanity addresses/search. If one is searching for 1Bxyz, in a given range, you will find many, and obviously if you are searching in a given range, many keys will be "close".
I have never seen this behaviour in vanitygen. I think it should always get a new random starting point after finding a match, otherwise the private keys you create are linked together, and compromising one means someone could brute force your other addresses.

Quote
If you use the rekey, it generates random starting points for each thread and then searches sequentially until the rekey number is met; then it rinses and repeats.
Is "rekey" an option instead of the default?

Shall I keep swigging from the boxed wine and if so, for how long?
Isn't 168 hours the customary minimum?
1158  Economy / Reputation / Re: TecShare - Farewell my friend. on: March 12, 2024, 11:22:09 AM
Yet Theymos found it "neutral" enough to ban him from all DT activities against his will.  :/
That's the first time I hear about this. Isn't he off DT2 because he has 3 inclusions and 9 exclusions from DT1?
1159  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: March 12, 2024, 10:47:49 AM
What we need on the New software is trade count system
That sounds very easy to game. Make a few trades, and plan towards an exit scam. Everything can and will be abused.
1160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Quantum Computing and Bitcoin private key on: March 12, 2024, 10:45:45 AM
Absolutely correct observation. It did not cross my mind.
Life hack: pay for one hour, hack a credit card, Bitcoin address or bank security, use it to pay for another hour, and do it again until you have infinite money Cheesy
