1141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there such thing as a “safe strategy”? on: April 13, 2021, 11:42:01 AM

Hi there!

I’m quite new into trading of any sort. I started by shorting BTC when price was trending down. I made some profits and then I lost it all... several times.

Besides potential gains, I love all the knowledge on markets and economics I’m getting by experimenting.

I’m not looking to be a full time trader. I just want to do one or two trades per week focusing on modest gains but low risk.

For example: I though that trading on the first minutes of an IEO was a safe option. But after reviewing how previous Launchpad projects went on the firsts minutes I does not looks like a low risk strategy at all.

So my question is: Is there such thing like low risks strategies? If yes, what could be an example of that?

Thank you!

If you are looking for the safest strategy to earn profit then just hold besides, you have mentioned that you don't want to be a full-time trader so perhaps holding would perfectly fit for you. Or you could have just done the spot trading, buying at a cheap price wait till it goes up and makes a profit then sell. You can hold your coins with no pressure in spot trading so it is less risky than any other type of trading. Investing on top listed coin also reduce the risk of losing your money so you were probably want to stay out from newly created coin as they were riskier.
1142  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here is why April may be the best month yet for Bitcoin price on: April 13, 2021, 11:01:17 AM
April may be the best month yet for Bitcoin price, so do you think there is no more price higher than April, Of course not, right.
Bitcoin will keep increasing until the end of the year, or maybe will continue pass of this years, The point is April is just the beginning of the best price of Bitcoin

Indeed. However, this is just is all speculation because no one totally knows what exactly gonna happen in the future. Bitcoin might be showing a positive performance this April but it could change in the next month. That is why for now they are considering April as the best month for Bitcoin considering this is the time where it breaks the resistance and reaches its new ATH. Besides, there a lot of positive is still coming and the fact that we just only the half of the month yet it set a new ATH, April does really may be the best month.
1143  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the Market is Thinking About Bitcoin Differently on: April 13, 2021, 10:14:15 AM
If everybody is HODLing and nobody is buying, the BTC price won't go up.We need more buyers than HODLers.
If the Bitcoin market becomes stagnant, more and more HODLers will get tired of waiting for a new ATH,so they will start selling a part of their BTC.This will create more selling pressure and the lack of enough buyers will lead to a bear market.Having a bear market for a few months will change the expectations for a new ATH,so less people will HODL Bitcoins in the long term.

I kinda agree on this one, people shouldn't only focus on HODLing but buying as well because there will be no movement that will occur if we will just all focus on HODL. Apparently, it could be one of the reasons why Bitcoin is still hovering at its current price because no one wants to buy anymore thinking it is too expensive for them anymore, believing it was the peak. If this continues there's a chance that we might not reach $100k like we have speculated. We will make it but don't just HODL but rather buy as well.
1144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Someone Big Again Just Bought 12600 Bitcoin at 60k on: April 13, 2021, 09:06:47 AM
Well, we can't blame why newcomers are having a second thought of buying Bitcoin because its price is now over $60k which seems kinda expensive and late to get it. That could also the reason why they are choosing to place their money on Altcoins since it is way cheaper compared to Bitcoin. Currently, Bitcoin drops its dominance at 54% from 60% for a couple of days and that data shown is enough to tell that folks are now going for Altcoins. But in spite of having a lower dominance and for some sort of reason Bitcoin was still increasing and breaking a new ATH.
1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP set to dethrone Bitcoin on: April 12, 2021, 03:21:51 PM
Following the current trend of XRP, irrespective of SEC bombardments against her, XRP still holds it ground in crypto arena. Imagine XRP wining the suit against SEC then XRP dethroning Bitcoin in the nearest future will be inevitable. Just saying!!!

Good luck with that. But who knows crypto is unpredictable after all remember we never expect that Bitcoin would grow this much so there will be at least a small chance for it to happen. Just curious what you saw with XRP why does it have a chance to dethrone Bitcoin? A lot of coins trying to dethrone Bitcoin but none of them succeed. Besides before getting the spot of Bitcoin at the top, it must have dethroned ETH from its position first before challenging Bitcoin which seems less likely to happen as well. To be honest, there are a lot of coins better than XRP, it is not that I hate it but I'm just saying the truth.
1146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: beginner trader: Are trading signals and bots worth it? on: April 12, 2021, 02:28:57 PM
I appreciate the quick and honest answer. I think I will leave it in that case.

Actually accumulated over 2000 BTC back when... sold it for what it was worth at the time (under 1$) as I needed to pay my rent. never did HODL, the biggest mistake of my life, and still makes me sick to think about it.

That's quite a lot, if you hold it till today you probably became a millionaire by now but well we don't know exactly what's gonna happen so I can't blame you for that besides, we all have been committing the same mistake and we all can do is to move on with it and learn to form it. Anyway, regarding trading signals and both, I'd say if you have still no enough knowledge of trading then trading signals could be helpful at least rather than losing a vast amount of money but bear in mind that there will be a time these signals won't work. Trading signals aren't that bad but why not learn it yourself so you don't need to spend a few bucks upon subscription, we're are all just doing the same thing anyway, they also conduct some analysis so why not do it yourself.
1147  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin may go bull soon on: April 12, 2021, 01:06:45 PM
Well, Bitcoin is still sitting on the price of $60k after breaking the $57k-$59 resistance and it seems another resistance holding back Bitcoin once again before it makes a new ATH. We can see that the support wasn't strong enough for Bitcoin to push it further and we can tell on the 55$% dominance right now. But there are still a few positive news are coming out along with it institution is also now kept accumulating, so there's a possibility that Bitcoin will go further within this month.
1148  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: April 12, 2021, 11:47:43 AM
The economy will definitely improve but it will take a very long time to recover the economy for developing countries. However, it is different for those whose countries are developed they can certainly quickly overcome economic problems after the Covit 19 pandemic.

The developed countries might be in a better position because they can produce more vaccines should reach herd immunity much faster than poorer countries. Israel for example has so much money that they just bought all the vaccines in the begging and are already back to a normal life. Eventually the whole world needs to recover. What we see is an rise in debt all around the world. So we probably need more stimulus packages to get the economy back on track.

Not all developed countries though as the United States still suffering brought by Covid-19. In fact, they have money to purchase vaccines to eradicate the virus but still, they are one of the leading cases of COVID as of today. China, on the other hand, has already been settled down their cases so there's a chance that they might replace the United States as the leading economy. Therefore, no matter what position does countries are in whether it is developed or not they are struggling in this pandemic and it will take a lot of time for every each country to recover from this phenomenon.
1149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is private and decentralized, ok but what if someone dies? on: April 12, 2021, 11:16:18 AM
Bitcoin is a lovely concept but I feel it failed to include a system that considers the wealth of someone who suddenly dies and inherits his money to his loved ones "Family". I've always thought about this in my head, what happens to my money when I die.

Yeah, it also once come to my thoughts that what if I'm gone and there is no one will benefit from all of my hard work earings. Anyway, our Bitcoin will more likely get stuck in there in our wallet and no one will benefit from it unless your family does know significant information to access your Bitcoins.
Quote
Because young people like many of us think we're going to live forever and we don't normally write wells, let's be honest here. Think about banks and real-life situation, here many of us hate the centralization and how government work on things, however, there is some benefit to what they do. When a person dies there's a system that automatically inherits all of your assets and money to your kids, which is a good thing and a plus in my book.
Bitcoin does not consider this! maybe if I am old I will write my private key for my family, but then again what are the chances that they would understand how to get the money? There are so many people who aren't computer savvy, so even if we go the extra mile of writing the sentence or the key in the well, a good chance that family members will not know how to use it and take it for granted. They don't know how much bitcoin worth and will neglect it, of course, given you wrote a well. What if you didn't?

You could have just started to write up or list your private key though, you don't need to wait until you get old because no one knows how long we will last in this world. In this case, better if you will put all necessary information in one place and put a password in that at least one of your family members knows it. I agreed that they might not computer savvy to access all this information but I believe there is one person at least who is capable of learning and can access these holding of yours. Being not computer savvy is not an excuse because everything can now be learned especially all the information you need to know is not published online.
1150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quality of a post on: April 11, 2021, 03:18:17 PM

Making a post without involving mistakes.
This issue disturbed me alot, and I have to let my fellow beginner know that to overcome posting error, we have to pick correction by cross check our works before posting, because post are meant to read like twice before posting, I noticed this pinned post I read.

It is advisable indeed to read out first our post before posting makes sure it was clear, easy to understand, check for grammatical errors, should be unambiguous, and more to avoid unnecessary discussions. One thing that also newbies are committing is they are just creating a bunch of topics that is already been discussed or created inducing some members to repeat their posts. It is highly recommended to do some research first regarding the topic you want to know or understand and once you do not have any findings then that is time you should only consider creating a thread.
1151  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading from Scratch on: April 11, 2021, 02:42:31 PM
Many people today is engaging in crpto trading beccause they know how big income was in trading bitcoin pair, they can double up money in instant depends on your trading choices and techniques. Beginners attempt to trade in a low capital first and finding out themselves what are possible techniques in trading that they can earn.  Many guides and reading candlesticks to know the peecentage high and low of specific token.
Big gains? It is just for now, as the bullish season continues but wondering if these traders could manage to keep in trading during the bear season. I'm for sure that many were leaving and suffer losses.

If they are into trading now, better take the opportunity because it can be done soon and the market momentum will change. If we are new to this, never excite more that this will happens all the time because the market will test your patience and strategies when the market turns to bearish again. So better not to overthink that trading is giving you a huge income, it can be sometimes but not all the time.

Indeed, that is why it is necessary for us to take all the opportunities we can see in front of us because we never know when this bullish trend will be over. Trading in a bearish market could be profitable however, it is not as big as a bullish market can give. A bearish market is more likely a buying phase for traders since the prices of coins are way cheaper and then bullish is more likely the selling phase where you will make a profit. On that note, newcomers are only after with big profit so I doubt they will stay in this market once the bear market comes.
1152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bloomberg predicting BTC reaching $400K in 2021 on: April 11, 2021, 01:03:50 PM
"According to Bloomberg, Bitcoin is replacing gold “more abruptly” than anticipated. Quotes a price potential of $400,000 in 2021."

Forget about the numbers...

This demonstrates how public opinion is generally improving.

Only in December did Bloomberg declare bitcoin to be in a huge bubble.

Bloomberg, welcome to the bubble.
$400k seems far to reach within this year, I think $100k is more feasible right now. Anyway, can we trust Bloomberg prediction though? especially in predicting price. What more I think is that they are just creating headlines that would attract readers just like a click-bait or something. Of course, they will tell something positive about Bitcoin since it is now in trend or performing better than they can imagine besides, large institutions and prominent people are now venturing with it but once the bear market begins guess what these bubble opinions will once release online once again.
1153  Economy / Economics / Re: The One World Currency: Is it Bitcoin? on: April 11, 2021, 11:50:24 AM

What do you think? Is Bitcoin the "One World Currency"?
No, I don't think Bitcoin will be the One World Currency because let's assume there will be one government throughout the world, would they choose a currency where they have no complete control over it? I don't think so, it would be much better if they will create their own.

Quote
Or will another currency take its place in the future?
No one exactly knows what will happen in the future if Bitcoin will be dethroned by another kind of currency or something.

Quote
If that happens, which currency do you think will become the "One World Currency"? Will it be the US Dollar, the Euro, or the Chinese Yuan?
One thing is for sure, definitely not Bitcoin as it is decentralized and they have no complete control over it.

Quote
Do you think governments will unanimously agree to use a single currency for everything? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley
Perhaps the most powerful countries will agree of having a single currency but I don't think other countries will agree with it.
1154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tenants to pay rent with bitcoin on: April 11, 2021, 11:14:55 AM
In recent times so many exciting events/news have been happening with bitcoin,  we have seen how bitcoin have gain institutional adoption with Tesla taking the lead and the installation of bitcoin ATMs for easy access to the digital global currency BTC.
The latest is a real estate firm optioning for tenants to pay rent using bitcoin.
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/07/rick-carusos-company-to-begin-accepting-rent-payments-in-bitcoin.html?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=Crypto&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1617831770
This indeed are great indications of bitcoin mainstream adoption/usage.

I'm glad that Bitcoin adoption is gradually increasing and becoming a thing. Mass adoption will push Bitcoin to an even greater price, reaching $100K is now more feasible. We need more institutions to accept crypto to induce more people to accept as well. However, I am not fond of using Bitcoin to spend on any commodities as Fiat would perfectly fit for it (for me at least) while Bitcoin is more likely to be used as an investment or something.
1155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you had 4,000.00 USD, what would you invest in? on: April 10, 2021, 03:21:36 PM
If you had 4,000.00 USD to use to invest in cryptocurrency, and that was all the money you can afford to use for crypto investments for the year of 2021, where would you put it?

If I have that amount just to invest in cryptocurrency first thing I will do is to diversify that big amount of money into different coins. The big portion will be allocated with Bitcoin which is considered one of the safest coins to place your money with as it has the biggest volume among them all. The next coin will be in Eth, of course, BNB, and more. Basically, if you will notice the coins I choose are the top listed coins in CMC because in terms of the safety of your investment they are far safe compared to newly listed coins in the market which has low volume.
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: April 10, 2021, 02:39:04 PM
Hello to all! Another topic about casinos and games. I started playing at THIS CASINO quite often. At the very beginning I thought I would just play in the evening, but one evening turned into a constant game during the day. On the first deposit, I was lucky and I took out a little, it was x3 of my deposit and I was happy. Recently, I just started making stupid deposits and trying to win something and I understand that this is self-deception, but I cannot stop and make more and more deposits. I decided to make the 1st level of VIP, but for this I need to make a turnover of 10k dollars, but I am a player with low stakes and this is difficult for me to do. You seem to understand everything that you will lose, but you go to play again. How to get rid of gambling addiction?

That was the strategy of most of the casino where they will let you win at the beginning just to make you excite and look for more, then after a few more bets that would be the time you will experience loss, once you have lost your instinct will try to convince you to retrieve it back causing more losses and then you will fall in their trap. Honestly, it is hard to move out from addiction once you get into it, you will have trouble controlling your emotions but with the help of someone to guide you and look for another hobby that would benefit you, that would help a lot from moving out to your addiction.
1157  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's not the end, $60k again on: April 10, 2021, 01:10:11 PM
After reaching ~$62000, BTC had a pullback and now again it got backed to $61k again. Many have shorted at this price, I had too (long ago). But it doesn’t seem stopping anytime soon. If I can remember, @100trillion twitter account posted few times that we are very early stage of the bullrun. We may see a huge bull of another few more months, very likely this whole year. If he is true (till now, he is very true), I think we will soon see the $100k mark.
What do you think? Is it still a good time to get in?

It will always be. I believe it is not the end of the run, in fact, Bitcoin is expected to show good movement this April and it does. Finally, after a couple of weeks of resistance around $57k-$59k is now broken reaching a new ATH is bound to happen any moment.  A lot of people also believed that Bitcoin would reach the $100k mark and I think it is possible because there are still few institutions are accumulating, this will push Bitcoin at the top so keep holding your stash it will surely be rewarding.
1158  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe history repeat itself? Economic wise. on: April 10, 2021, 11:29:58 AM
Firstly yes, the history repeat by itself in a period of the time and it's not just about the economic history but everything in the world. Ti understand in better let's say the whole ta systems such as price action is using this theory and people believe the history is  repeating in a period of the time. But in your post you are saying 'gambling their cash in stocks and crypto' which is not right. Since you know what are you trading and what are you buying it's not gambling at all, you would not say such thing if you correctly manage your risk and know the relation between risk and reward deeply.

Indeed, I wouldn't call it gambling because trading crypto or stock is not just about luck like gambling, sure sometimes it does need luck but most of the time it needs analysis and such to mitigate the risk. It would only be gambling if you trading without any knowledge because you are trading in a volatile market and entering without any experience induce risk. Regarding to inflation, yes it is possible for history to repeat itself, in fact, commodities are now gradually increasing, it is too little to be realized but yes it is about to happen sooner.
1159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments ban Bitcoin like they did with Gold? on: April 10, 2021, 10:59:58 AM
If they want to ban Bitcoin they should have done it earlier, now that adoption is skyrocketing people will fight for it. We’ve seen so many Bitcoin bans and harsh regulations from different countries, some tried to totally ban it and some are still shaky with their decisions. Its impossible to ban Bitcoin, they can’t control it unless they shutdown internet servers.

Very well said. They should do it earlier but now I don't think they can pull it off since adoption is now increasing and imminent. Yes, some countries could ban it but stop people from using it. Bitcoin is decentralized and that what it makes difficult to control or even ban it unless they cut off all internet connections which is impossible. Besides, some countries already have accepted Bitcoin and benefited from it so I don't think they will ban it. Furthermore, large institutions are already venturing on it that would also another reason why the government will have trouble putting it on prohibition.
1160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does BITCOIN make a person's life better !? on: April 08, 2021, 02:30:40 PM
It can definitely make a person's life better but at the same time, it could ruin someone's life. The outcome will yield depending on how we will use it like if we will are going to use it to sustain our necessities or a tool to improve our living then sure it does really help. However, if we choose to utilize our bad habits and such then it could really ruin our life. Personally, Bitcoin does really made total changes in my life, it makes my life better in a way of I could now live without worrying about my income.
