1161  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Why do people use faucets? on: August 31, 2015, 01:08:41 PM
People like getting free money, and for some reason people like getting free bitcoin even more than free money. Just seeing another transaction going into your wallet is satisfying.
1162  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: ᛁ ⊳ ⊳ ⊳ LiveCoin.net ⊲ ⊲ ⊲ ᛁ Guess the price - get the prize! on: August 31, 2015, 01:06:35 PM
$227.34

Thanks for this promo, I like giveaways like this, you never know who's going to win and it's really hard to guess.
1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you want to see more in Bitcoin? on: August 31, 2015, 01:05:08 PM
Transactions where you send the coins but nobody knows where they went. Not sure if it's possible.
1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've been scammed 5.5BTC. What will you do when your Bitcoin get scammed? on: August 31, 2015, 12:58:23 PM
I don't get scammed because I used trusted services that have been around for a long time and I don't use websites that are too good to be true.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: August 31, 2015, 02:47:06 AM
I've had a hard time getting people that have heard bad things about it to come around, but most of the time after I talk for long enough I can convince them that it's a good thing.
1166  Other / Off-topic / Re: if you entered your wallet and you found 50BTC what you will do ? on: August 31, 2015, 02:43:56 AM
I would sell it all in coinbase. I don't know where it came from and I'm not going to listen to anybody that says they sent it to me unless they sign a message. On the off case that it's somebody I know, I might return most of it.
1167  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: August 31, 2015, 02:38:30 AM
i was playing with faucet

then my 0.5 deposit suddenly came in. and i maxed it away and i didnt see. WTF. I emailed support and nothing. when will they respond? i need my 0.5.... Sad

You confirmed a max bet by yourself. It warns you before bet is placed.

Yes but i click the bet button twice without looking at balance. its bullshit to have a balance quickly appear like that, without no green bar or anything like normal
Unfortunately that's your own fault. It does ask you to confirm the bet amount, just because you clicked through it doesn't make it PD's fault.
1168  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How do coinbase make money on: August 31, 2015, 02:09:20 AM
They make money on fees for buys and sells, which a lot of people do many times a day with a lot of coins. Their fees net them a crap ton of money.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto PLEASE resolve this debate? 1MB blockstream vs 8MB Gavin Blocks on: August 31, 2015, 02:07:51 AM
It's unbelievable that there are so many people will lose their mind when their leader disappears

To be fair he was never really here to begin with...he showed up, dropped off bitcoin then left. We've been without him for most of the time bitcoin has been alive.
1170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Why I'm releasing a brainwallet cracker at DEFCON 23" on: August 31, 2015, 02:01:34 AM
People should understand what makes brainwallets not safe/safe. It's possible for them to be safe, and that's where they can be beneficial, but it's also very easy to make them easily crackable.
1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever attended a bitcoin meetup? on: August 31, 2015, 01:55:10 AM
I haven't because there aren't really any near where I live and I'm not quite sure I want to meet those kind of people.
1172  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Primedice.com] Guess the price of BTC competition - Free to enter - 1 BTC prize on: August 30, 2015, 11:58:19 PM
Primedice username: Drain
Primedice join date: Aug 10th 2014
Price you are guessing: $223.45
1173  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: BitExchange hardware wallet is ready:Metal, Sapphire Crystal, Touch,Water proof on: August 30, 2015, 11:54:39 PM
I don't like the boom of everyone making hardware wallets. They need to be able to be built from source and then put on the devices, otherwise we have no way of knowing that these devices are doing what they are supposed to, they could be "generating" keys that these people have already generated, putting our money at risk.
1174  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buy and hold a good investment option with price around $230 - Aug 2015 on: August 30, 2015, 11:50:20 PM
I would think that waiting until the whole XT/BIP 100/101 deal blows over, because there's going to be a lot of unpredictable fluctuations. I can see the price dropping lower if this stuff escalates.
1175  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SteamBitShop.com ● Easily buy any Steam game with bitcoin or altcoins on: August 30, 2015, 07:43:59 PM
The nice thing about using gyft is the crazy percent cash back you can get on every purchase. It helps negate the volatility of bitcoin.
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many coins are proved to be in possesion of governments? on: August 30, 2015, 07:42:28 PM
I doubt the government cares about bitcoin right now on a higher level, only the cops who want to arrest people for this related to it.
1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you feel ashamed for recommending Bitcoin to family & friends? on: August 30, 2015, 07:41:21 PM
Yeah, I still love the idea and implementation but when it comes to actually buying it and using it I don't talk to people about it any more, i get labeled awful things.
1178  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sharebit: Offline Peer to Peer Electronic Cash System on: August 30, 2015, 07:39:27 PM
Well basically This offline payment is like people can send card less cash even if they dont have internet .... the wallet can be used as a physical wallet and just get it near to pay. Well ok now let me talk about the problems... well actually it stores in Blockchain but in a different manner it uses
KMT System which will be launched soon
We're going to need a lot more specs on bow the actual thing works if you want anybody to take you seriously.
1179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto PLEASE resolve this debate? 1MB blockstream vs 8MB Gavin Blocks on: August 30, 2015, 07:38:11 PM
I agree with that quote, whether its real or not. If those two people can change what bitcoin is against the majority will of users, them people aren't doing it right.
1180  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor vs. paper wallets. on: August 30, 2015, 07:34:24 PM
They both have their pros and con's, paper wallets are easier and don't cost money but hardware wallets can be more secure. Hardware wallets have a bit more flexibility too.
