I can't seem to get my server verified. I registered with

curl -H "Accept: application/json; indent=4" -d "bitcoin_address=1Rassahgt3XSxKVJ62oSrQJxtH3wk4MKX" -d "url=http://76.100.70.17" https://getaddr.bitnodes.io/api/v1/nodes/76.100.70.17-8333/

Does the bitcoin address have to be the one in the bitcoin node, or can it be any bitcoin address? Does the url= have to be a web service running on our node (port 80), or is it just the URL of your node (reachable with 8333)?

Thanks

personally my problem is the rapists, the rest are sensitive, and discussion are possible, but for the rapists, death, shall we agree on that?

Agreed! http://www.rferl.org/content/ukraine-dovgan-public-abuse-donetsk/26561342.html

But that, of course, is pretty standard for old Soviet style Russia. Accuse some innocent person of being an enemy of the state just to create an enemy for the locals to hate. You guys ever read 1984? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Two_Minutes_Hate

Flight MH-17, whatever became of that story ?

On 30 March 2015, the JIT released a Russian-language video calling for witnesses in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions who might have seen a Buk missile system. The video included some previously undisclosed recordings allegedly of tapped phone conversations between rebel fighters about the Buk. In one recording, of a conversation a few hours after the shoot down, a fighter says that a member of the Buk’s accompanying crew had been left behind at a checkpoint. In another alleged recording, dated the day after the shootdown, a rebel says the Buk system and its crew had been brought from Russia by “the Librarian." The video presents a "scenario" whereby a BUK missile was transported on a Volvo low loader truck from Sjevernyi, a town located within a kilometer of the Russian border, to Donetsk during the night of 16/17 July.

Because, besides Russia, no other country actually "suspects" Ukraine.

Well, with the Crimea and Donbass gone there´s really not that much left for the mob to steal and exploit in Ukraine.

You're forgetting about the giant gas field near Lviv. Only the development in Donetsk one was disrupted by Russians. The development of the Lviv one is being finalized right now. Russia's gas monopoly may get broken yet (what, you thought this was was political?)
127  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: April 25, 2015, 05:30:34 PM
I am not sure whether Putin is interested in recognizing these territories. Probably he wants Donbass to stay in Ukraine. He might not be willing to fund the pension payments to 7 million additional people, especially during this difficult economic situation.

Don't forget that by keeping the area in conflict, instead of simply annexing it, he is keeping Ukraine in a "disputed borders" status, which prevents it from being able to join NATO. That was pretty much one of the main reasons for the whole thing, just like in Romania and Georgia.
128  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: April 25, 2015, 05:26:32 PM
Well, fortunately the western mob is in exceptionally good financial shape to pick up the slack

Ukraine may lose Chinese investments due to outlawing communism

Also, it always makes me shed a small tear when I see bitcoiners defend communism...  Cry
129  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: April 25, 2015, 05:24:48 PM
The Crimea Pearl gone, Donbass gone. Malorussia soon gone. Poroshenko going to the gallows for his war crimes and mass murder or heading for the mob´s bosom. It´s all falling apart.

LOL! Wow! That's absolutely the opposite of what everyone inside Ukraine actually thinks. Everyone is fine with Poroshenko and the current situation, and is only worried about Russia starting a full-on war. Damn you guys get some strange sources.

131  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Entropy update on: April 25, 2015, 05:21:16 PM
FYI, the first batch of 800 devices sold out around August. So anyone ordering in September onwards had to wait. Yes, the remaining 200 were received recently, and are being packaged and prepared for shipping now.
132  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium for iOS not working on: April 25, 2015, 05:19:16 PM
Would be good if someone from Mycelium team put some effort too and inform as about what they are doing. We have our btc stuck there Sad.

They've been doing a good job keeping people up to date over on Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/31o5zn/mycelium_ios_wallet_status_update/cqkglk1

Yeah, Mycelium are good guys. Writing apps for iOS myself I know that it has nothing to do with them and everything to do with bugs in the app and the Apple approval process. Probably something to do with permissions as well. We just have to wait a bit. Or use an android to restore your wallet that way.

You're exactly right, it had to do with permissions. Apple used a wrong permissions file when we uploaded the 1.1 version. We found out which file they used, and that's why we were able to make a fixed build.
133  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: April 25, 2015, 05:16:33 PM
I just read this issue on github and I'm considering moving to other wallet... It's a big no-no if it depends on proprietary services. Though I know sometimes there is no alternatives, but thats not the case here.

1. We have no issues with anyone contributing to Mycelium codebase, just as long as the final code is implemented in the main Mycelium version. If for whatever reason development stops, that would be either because the project is abandoned (it would be opensourced), or the company folded (it would likewise become opensourced).
2. Agreed, though we still have independent developers helping out at times. Ideally, of course, we would love a whole lot of independent developers helping.
3. So far Mycelium is way way way ahead of all other bitcoin wallets, so that's not a problem.
4. F-Droid is one app store. You can just download Mycelium directly from our website, so it's not that big of a deal.

While we do depend on a proprietary server, that's only to receive address balances, broadcast transactions, and for our LocalTrader function. We may also eventually use our servers for CoinJoin announcements, so people can easily mix their coins. And we do plan to add SPV support so that the wallet is still usable if our servers become unavailable for whatever reason. Other than that, we are actually trying to be more open, not less. The Trusted Computing thing is actually us opening the wallet for two third-parties to add their own code to it to allow our wallet to use TEE built into phones. Just as we have added support for Trezor, and are allowing Ledger to add support for their wallet.

All that said, as Jan mentioned, we are trying to push to switch to open source license.

Just joined you guys. Looked extremely complicated at first glance, but turned out to be extremely easy in FreeNAS (FreeBSD based)
135  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: April 16, 2015, 07:27:38 PM
Did anyone notice that it disappeared from the iOS app store a few days ago?
And, the app itself does sync, but you can't send bitcoins from it.  (issue started when the app disappeared)

Yeah, Apple screwed up our AppStore submission. We had to pull it because the updated version would lock up user's bitcoins and prevent them from spending. We found the problem, though, and should have a fixed one soon.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoincard.org on: April 14, 2015, 01:50:25 AM
I'd be interested to see a prototype.

You'd have to show up at a conference in Europe that Mycelium attends. There aren't any prototypes in US unfortunately.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoincard.org on: April 14, 2015, 01:43:23 AM
The tech is mostly not even here yet, actually. Thats why it took so long to build this. Cutting edge tech companies would sign a contract with us, then go out of business, and we'd have to spend 2 months looking for a replacement and redesigning the hardware.

Right now the cards are fully functional. I had one to show at the Miami Bitcoin Conference a few months back. It's fully flexible (board, screen, battery), dirt proof, and water resistant. Has connectors to charge and transmit data, and a radio to do the same. Also has actual working buttons. And despite this, it is still only as thin as a credit card. It would have been ready for production and sale last month, but we discovered that if you flex it too much the gold leads connecting the CPU can cross and short out, so we have had to move the CPU to the other side, and that means redesign the board connections, order more prototypes from the factory, and do more vigorous testing. We hope to get prototypes in around June or so. In the mean time, we also got a $150,000 grant for "innovative hardware" or something, to redesign the UI and make it completely intuitive out-of-the-box. So, if all goes well and all the testing comes back with good results, we may be able to get production going by the end of this fall. Tiny things can cause huge delays with these things.
138  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could someone provide evidence that the majority of Russians aren't insane? on: April 14, 2015, 01:34:36 AM
Russia was never involved in the black slave trade.

Yep, just white slave trade. Many of them from west of Russia. And now apparently from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan nationals.
139  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Fee Calculation - Anything wrong? on: April 14, 2015, 01:27:56 AM
iOS version doesn't support different fees yet. As for the high fee, it would be high if you have a lot of inputs, or if you are spending a really tiny amount.
140  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger wallet vs Entropy on: April 14, 2015, 01:25:50 AM
All of these hardware devices are small, can be lost, or could break. Make sure to have a backup.
