Sarisak seeks to bring awareness to the damage caused by overused plastics. Sarisak recycles used Sari’s from rural india and channels proceeds back to the communities themselves.

Rassah, I'm going to need a tad bit of help on this one.

According to The Wayback Machine, they sold product, and still do, with just recently attaching themselves to a cause, albeit selling product is not the issue unless it was/is their sole income.

Here is more info

In the case of SariSak.com, some proceeds go back into the community where the Saris originate from and this is a great cause.  However it’s not a full not-for-profit entity. I can understand your concerns. I feel fine with sharing this with Sarisak.com and letting them know that the gift is strictly for nonprofits.

Thanks,
Gary

I spent a week and weekend in Autin at the bitcoin conference, then had almost no break before spending another weekend at a Baltimore conference (this one wasn't bitcoin related, and involved a lot of fake fur). Whatever free time I had between the two, I had to dedicate to Mycelium. So, sorry about the almost two week down time.

Without further ado (ado sounds funny to say. Adooooouuuuuu!)

Hello.  I am writing to find out more information about your program.  Without Regrets Foundation provides gravely ill parents and their minor children with memorable family experiences.  This special time together creates memories that will last forever.  For more, please watch this short video.

I understand you just spoke with one of our volunteers at the Texas Bitcoin Concert.  We do currently accept bitcoin donations on our website.  I would love to speak to you further about your program.  I will be out there this afternoon (probably after about 3) and will be there for the concert this evening as well.

Thank you.

These guys were at the Texas Bitcoin Conference, so at least they were vetted by them. As I was told, they are basically the reverse of the Make a Wish Foundation, where they do the wish granting for terminally ill parents.

Hi Rassah,

I am volunteering for an organisation called New Harvest. They are a US registered non-profit advancing alternatives to conventionally produced meat. That is, they mostly promote cultured meat ("in-vitro-meat") and gather data and experience from researchers all over the world that will help make cultured meat reality.

Their website:
http://www.new-harvest.org/

What cultured meat is:
http://www.new-harvest.org/cultured-meat/faq/

I have been setting up a Bitpay account for them in the last week, which is approved. Now they need to change their site accordingly, so Bitcoins can be sent. Once that's done and tested, they should be all ready!

Is Bitcoin100 still active? I told them that it might be possible to get a thousand dollar's worth in BTC from the Bitcoin100 people. That would be a great encouragement for them, though we do hope for other donations in the long run too. Smiley

You might not remember that, but Marius (Mqrius) and I communicated with you concerning Against Malaria Foundation quite a while ago, where we wanted them to start accepting Bitcoin. They never got back to us, which is why I'm so excited to be able to set it up myself for New Harvest now!

Best regards,
Anne

Just wanted to take a moment to introduce you to Dmitry, who is cc:ed in
this email. Dmitry oversees the Bitcoin100 donations and we had a chance
to meet in person last year in Toronto and he graciously volunteers his
time to administer the project.

Dmitry, Jim Klauder is Vice President at the Foundation for Teaching
Economics
and they are interested in implementing Bitcoin.

Jim, from here, just let Dmitry know that you're interested along with a
link to the FTE website and let him know that you are looking to implement
it within your organization. As I mentioned, if you need any help around
the technical details, let me know!

All the best,

JASON SHIM / DIGITAL MEDIA MANAGER

The FTE has set up an account at Coinbase to be able to accept bitcoin contributions.  Please tell us what we need to do on our end to proceed with receiving a bit coin contribution.  I am led to understand that there is a donor, known to Jason, who would like to make a contribution.

Thanks very much,

I'm an attorney and administrator for the Abolitionist Law Center. We're a 501c3 law firm that works to defend prisoner rights in the United States. We could use a $1,000 endowment from Bitcoin 100.

We currently have a bitcoin wallet setup at blockchain.info, and I'm in the process of setting up a donate button via Bitpay. Could you let me know if Bitcoin 100 is still providing endowments to nonprofits, and what I should do to obtain one for Abolitionist Law Center?

You can find out more about our organization at our website: http://abolitionistlawcenter.org/

Mission Statement:
The Abolitionist Law Center is a public interest law firm inspired by the struggle of political and politicized prisoners, and organized for the purpose of abolishing class and race based mass incarceration in the United States.  To accomplish this goal, the Abolitionist Law Center engages in litigation on behalf of people whose human rights have been violated in prison, produces educational programs to inform the general public about the evils of mass incarceration, and works to develop a movement against the American penal system by building alliances and nurturing solidarity across social divisions.

Working with prisoners in defense of human rights has led us to the realization that the prison system – and, in particular, its reliance on solitary confinement – is part of a larger system that operates according to a logic of violence and intimidation.  Solitary confinement is used to terrorize the prisoner population.  The prison population and policies of race and class based mass imprisonment are used to terrorize poor communities in general, and communities of color in particular.  And the socio-economic conditions in those communities are used to keep relatively privileged communities in line and focused on carrying out the agenda of a powerful few.

The Abolitionist Law Center seeks to challenge this status quo by building creative, principled, visionary, and lasting alliances with people and organizations inside and outside of prison who are determined to confront and defeat these interconnected systems of oppression, and replace them with healthy, sustainable, and liberating alternatives.

Thank you and I hope to hear back soon,

Dustin S.

Playing catch-up now, all.

I'm having a problem with http://directaction.info/donate.htm, Rassah. Everything I've found on The Wayback Machine dictates that they're a for-profit entity, just recently accepting donations of any and the usual kind.

We will need to have them set us straight on this issue before we consider endowing them, especially considering the following:

Oh, wow, yes, sorry, never mind. Thanks for checking.

Please remove this

and this
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52543.msg5480204#msg5480204

from the Bitcoin100 page. It has nothing to do with our charity, and will only make it more difficult for me to do my work.

Thanks

this is him Begging me to remove my comments showing he is a Racist.

LOL! No  Angry This is me asking you politely to do the right thing before I report you to the mods.

Is he a part of your group?

He helps vet charities to make sure they are well established and fit our criteria of secular, non-profit, and have not been receiving bitcoin until very recently. Is that something you would be willing to do?
This is him Basically offering me a donation if in return i remove the comments and "Adhere" to Bitcoin 100 Profile for receiving a Donation.  This sure looks like a Flat out Denial to me.

No, it was exactly the opposite. Instead of offering to bribe you, I was asking if you would be willing to step up and volunteer to do some actual work, for free, if we end up submittiing to your demands and remove Bruno from our team. I was guessing the answer to that was no.

I'm not here for Blackmail if thats what you mean. I just despise that Racist pig with his comments.

I will remove the comments with NO strings attached.

Your group does great work but it's a shame that there is a pig among you.
This is me Acknowledging his group does great work BEFORE he supported the Racist pig. And take note I Said No strings attached.

And yet you attached some strings and posted some more, until I asked the mods to remove it. Thanks.

Thanks. He doesn't really do much at this point anyway. It's pretty much all lonesome me.
This is him saying  Phinnaeus Gage is useless to the group.
to sum this up We have 2 Racists 2 Liars and 2 Pigs.

Go fuck yourselves.

I'm not sure how "Phinneas doesn't do much" equates to me being a racist pig, but yeah, go fuck yourself likewise.

Rassah is also racist, good to know will never donate to ur piece of shit racist charity

Wait... (checks...) Who are you again? What were you actually planning to donate? What do you even know about the charity? And what do you even know anything about me? I suspect the answer to all those questions is nobody and nothing.
945  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Think Progress believes Bitcoin is racist... on: March 14, 2014, 11:22:29 AM
I sort of doubt Soros would be anti-Bitcoin, considering how much anti-communist, anti-Totalitarian, and anti-shitty-government currency he is. My guess is he would still be undecided about it at this point.
Soros is not quite the boogie man the far right media paints him to be.

I mistook Justus Ranvier for Davi Barker entirely too frequently. Although I'm certain that the two are the exact same persoon with a split personality.
947  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: March 13, 2014, 04:41:37 AM
Is Mycelium ready for the changes coming with 0.90? I expect we should have support for lower fees very soon after official release and support for payment requests later on?

Fees are a quick fix, so should be out soon after 0.9. Merchant protocol will take a while longer. BIP32 HD wallets are more important
948  Other / Off-topic / Re: Since my last post, we were almost killed due to some NIGGER! on: March 10, 2014, 07:19:33 PM
fucking Mods on here are Unbelievable they delete my comments on some uppidty Racist Pigs thread but yet they won't delete this fucking Racist pigs thread. I think the Mod that Deleted my post is a Rascist fuck on top of these 2 pigs.

Posting off topic bullshit is simply not tolerated on some threads. The thread you posted to did not belong to any racist pigs, either.

I love the way you try and twist the facts around.   Fact is you and that other Pig are Racists.

Any sources, quotes, or evidence to back that up?

You know a few mods on here and pull a few strings to Keep your Racist Organization clean from my posts.

Any evidence that our organization is racist? We have donated to charities in US, Europe, Asia, and Africa. I'm pretty sure they would all be very surprised to hear that we are racist.

At 75 how many years left do you Have to Redeem your nasty soul?

I'm 34  Cry

Also, I get it. You wanted a $1,000 donation from Bitcoin100, and we turned you down, because your organization was too new, and looked very sketchy. We can't be sure that it's not a scam. And I understand that it's upsetting to get turned down. But you don't have to get so hostile and attack us for it.
949  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: 2014-03-06: Texas Bitcoin Conference on: March 10, 2014, 07:03:35 PM

Likewise!
950  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: March 10, 2014, 07:01:46 PM
What I think he meant to say that 30% of Ukraine (mainly Southern and Eastern regions) wish to merge with Russia. Well, if you speak Russian, and >70% (and sometimes 100%) of people around you speak Russian, but the central fascist government bans Russian, what would you want to do?

I seriously doubt anyone would ban Russian, since even in Kiev you mostly hear Russian instead of Ukrainian.
And I would feel bad because, while Ukraine *might* become fascist (though probably won't), Russia already IS fascist, along with a dictatorial semi-theocratic government.

[Seriously, http://nourish.org/give/ passes with flying colors, and this is the first time I've quoted Wikipedia to help make the decision that much easier: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nourish_International

~Bruno Kucinskas

They added BitPay, so donation sent: https://blockchain.info/tx/ad3190db18cb043a6dcb77bb6b87362c1f3b6a321c871496ff862b58dd9fe894

I don't see the Bitcoin option on the website.

Their chapter is here http://ufchapter.nourish.org/donate/

30% of Ukraine will merge with Russia

I hope not. I'll feel really really bad for those Ukrainians.

954  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: March 08, 2014, 04:13:32 PM
It would be really nice if the user could set the tx fee to 0 or lower than 0.0001.
For most Transactions 0.00001 or 0.000001 BTC fee would be enough. So it would be nice to set the fee at the users own wishes.

BTW: I really like the App.. especially the function to spend btc directly from a cold / paper wallet.. good job guys.

Right now the fee in default Bitcoin-QT nodes is hardcoded to 0.0001BTC, so setting it lower runs the risk of your transaction not being broadcast. We will lower the fee once 0.9 comes out, which will drop the fee further.
955  Economy / Economics / Re: A Resource Based Economy on: March 08, 2014, 04:08:49 AM

people who say an RBE cant happen ever.... what if humans change over time, does that matter?

People don't say BRE can't happen, they say that for it to happen, someone has to really coerse and force people around to keep them in line. Just like communism can happen, as long as you kill off about 6 million people who may protest.
956  Other / Off-topic / Re: It's officially the racist prick's birthday. on: March 08, 2014, 03:11:10 AM

Which one of the five items doesn't belong?

957  Other / Off-topic / Re: Since my last post, we were almost killed due to some NIGGER! on: March 08, 2014, 03:03:45 AM
Please do not post off topic stuff in other threads. Especially not in the Bitcoin100 thread. I don't know what your intentioon is by doing that, but, if you take the time to think about, I hope you'll realize that doing so does not actually hurt me specifically.

If Phinneas was black, you would have been OK with him saying NIGGER. Since he is white, you say that it's not OK. The only reason for the difference is his race. Thus, you're racist.
Explain this? I'm white he is white how does me Objecting to His Racist Views Make me a Racist?

Would you be objecting so much if he was black? I suspect not. So the only reason you are so up-in-arms about this is because of Phinneas's skin color.
Also, considering how severe your reaction is to this, and especially considering you are white, it looks as if you are yourself secretly inwardly racist, and are overcompensating either to convince yourself that you aren't racist, or to convince everyone else.

On the other hand you support and Defend him Calling His Nieces Black Boyfriend a N****R

Please quote where I have supported him calling that other guy a NIGGER.

You and him Both are 2 Racist Cowards. Why would someone Donate to Racists like yourselves?  Just letting people know who they are dealing with here.  To Explain what my previous Comment has to do with this thread?...I guess i just answered it.

Yeah, get over yourself. No one gives a shit about a personal crusade of some newbie. Plus we are not asking for any more donations. We have already raised a ton of money, and are just trying to give it out to charities. If you wish to go and talk to a bunch of charities, and explain to them that they should not get $1,000, or that they shouldn't add bitcoin to their websites because bitcoin is full of racists, that's your prerogative. Hopefully they will take into account that you are just some stranger no one's ever heard of, and will ignore you.

Damnit Goat! Your godamn Lamborghini distracted me when I saw it in the window in the middle of my presentation. And it was my first time speaking, too. If the video ever comes out, and you see me suddenly stare off into the distance and trail off while mumbling something about a Lamborghini, that's all your fault!

Tied to Bitcoin address, which is also used to log in and authenticate with the server.

Second, I'll let you give me three hits, then I get one. Are you ok with this old man?

I know for a fact that Phinneas is not racist, or a bigot of any kind. On the other hand, otrkid70 and Bobsurplus seem to be a bit racist in their own way, and we now know for a fact that Bobsurplus is ageist.

You support a Racist then call me one?   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=495497.140

You have A lot of nerve.

If Phinneas was black, you would have been OK with him saying NIGGER. Since he is white, you say that it's not OK. The only reason for the difference is his race. Thus, you're racist.
