Any updates? A simple plan would suffice.
Waiting for the ASIC gear to arrive. Using the current dividends to acquire additional hardware. Waiting on ASICMiner shares to start paying. Waiting on CoinLab to start GPU leasing. Continue paying out as funds become available from above mentioned activities. |

Start one. The BFL trackers weren't ever sanctioned lists. Someone just started keeping track and the list kept growing. |

If I click a link in windows to trigger the URI handling, but already have the client running, it whines about not getting the lock on the data directory. This would seem to be that its trying to launch a second instance vs reusing the already running instance.
I tried this with RC2 on my Win7 x64 machine and it works like a charm. I have one instance running and sitting in the tray. Clicking a bitcoin URI leads to opening the client and no warning, as expected. Are you really sure you are using 0.7RC2, can you verify please? Dia I'm on RC1, I'll check RC2 as soon as I can get back to that machine. Do you use portable Zip or installation? Only the installation will update the file associations for bitcoin URIs, which could also cause errors. Dia Install. I'm installing RC2 as we speak and will give it a go. Still getting that message with RC2. Win 7 x64 Chrome Browser default. |

4. imsaguy. Supposedly invests in mining hardware. But somehow, he got caught in the pirate mess too. Also, both imsaguy and HashKing said they need 3 years to pay back. Coincidence or planned?

1. Kluge. I was in a skype chat room with all the above guys. Started to ask imsaguy question about what is his REAL plan to repay investors. In the end, I got kicked out by Kluge.
This doesn't mean Kluge is a scam, but that is enough reason to believe Kluge is planning with the above guys.

I suspended dividends so that they could be used to expand the hardware and keep EIEIO profitable. Its essentially a short term haircut which should keep the dividends going longer. You couldn't shutup long enough to actually grasp that concept. I ask you questions about what I had stated in my posting and you couldn't answer them, even though you claimed to have read it. I think you skimmed it, saw only a few key words and then started to spew your mouth without have a clear grasp of what was going on. kluge removed you because you were being obstinate and completely unreasonable. Could you explain why both you and hashking decided to stop paying at around the same time? I understand the concept towards the end of our chat. But bottom line is....., the end result is the same. You are not paying dividends and no principal gets returned. At least at this moment. I already explained that I could continue to pay dividends for the next 2 months and all it would have done is drained further capital from EIEIO and as difficulty continued to go up, there'd be less and less income. What HashKing does or does not due has no bearing on me. I have no btc invested in him and he had none with me. |

Same as it works on Lendingclub: people who wish to borrow post an explanation if why they want money, how they plan to repay, and any ratings they have (OTC or something easier to use would work well in place of a credit score). If they are untrustworthy, their interest rate would be way high. And if their loan doesn't get filled, then they have no business borrowing. On the other hand, if they have good ratings and are good at paying back, their interest would be low.
From the investor's side of view, they will lend out to a lot of borrowers, spreading their risk as much as possible. In the end, if they lend at 2% per week to a bunch of people, but only half actually pay back, then we all know that the actual market rate out there is closer to 1%. And if someone wants to lend to some people who are high risk and are will into pay 12% a week, well, then it's those specific lender's problem, not everyone else's.
What is missing is really just a well organized website to facilitate this.
So you're proposing something that is/was already happening, using ratings that people deride as being gameable (otc ratings), with the only noticeable different being a well organized website? |

I wish we didn't even have these "banks." We don't need them. Bitcoins are already safely stored via private keys, so no need for safe vaults, and if you want to invest or earn money from others investing, just make a service like Lendingclub.com and take a percentage from that. If you are going to dump all the risks of your "bank" onto your users, at least let them chose the level of risk they are comfortable with. A bitcoin-based lendingclub will allow people to borrow none if needed, will allow people to invest if they want to, and will be A HECK of a lot more accurate at determining true rates of returns on loans. What we have now (the 2%+ per week) is wish full thinking, hiding behind insolvent banks and stressed out, shady bank operators.
How do you really know what the people on lendingclub are going to do with your money? How would you translate that over to bitcoin? |

Maybe in your country? I specifically checked, I get around 5%/year and I am fully covered by the insurance.
Have you checked to see how large their trust fund is? The FDIC covers accounts to $250k, but actually only has assets of like $10B which means if there was a system run on the system, it would go dry and people wouldn't necessarily get their money right away. (that or the US Government would simply print more bills) The things that work outside of bitcoin don't always translate well into bitcoin. |

That's interesting - gigavps and a couple of other pirate fanclub members put up +10 ratings after the default, which seem to have been deleted? Its easy to do so. Im sure nanotube has the history of who rated who though  There's a streaming ratings channel where everyone can watch the ratings change in real time. #bitcoin-otc-ratings |
