How will you handle it if the balance is not stable?

Will you give up the .5% bonus or force withdrawals?

I'd give up the .5% bonus.

Even judging by how hot they get.. it makes you feel like something's just not right.

d3 wants to be trusted with money... i would rather trust bfl, and i would rather fuck myself with a cactus than trust bfl...

That can be tough to reach and get any leverage.  You may need some help with that.  I have just the thing.

But yes, donating to the neo-nazi youth is worse than giving to bfl or asking me to help you cram a cactus in your daddy pleaser.

Quoted because reeses is a pussy that deletes his posts.

Hello,

ONE LAST TIME:  THIS THREAD IS FOR PEOPLE INTERESTED IN PIRATE PASSTHROUGH.

Oh so your helping hold up the Ponzi. That's great!

Please take this elsewhere.  This thread isn't a debate on the validity of pirate's operation.

"validity of pirate's operation."
Oh right, how irrelevant. Apologies.

This thread is for people interested in a pirate pass through.  There are plenty of other threads for you to debate the validity.

People have different styles of communication.  I've worked with and managed so many people from different cultures or with different personality quirks (asperger's, adhd, etc.) that I just make allowances.  He's trying to say something and feels invalidated that people aren't swayed by his arguments, which seem perfectly logical to him.

If you care enough to get on the same page with him, you will need to see things from his perspective and reason with him on his level.  That goes for pretty much anyone in the world, but it's more obvious on the inter-webs.  For example, threatening pirate has done jack s--- because he's making enough money that he's pretty much immune to serious fear or intimidation.  He's loving it and people are still depositing like mad despite the brouhaha.

If it bothers you, just use the ignore link on people who aren't adding value to your time.  I see a numeric range representing the people ignoring me.  If it were to become high, I would take it as feedback on my trolling/posting/language/etc.  Most people will do the same.  Plus, you don't need to see someone's posts until they post something insightful enough that someone else cares to quote and reply.  Think of it as curating their posts. Smiley

Just so everyone else can actually read it.

Hey,

How about a massive withdrawal day. It's a sure way to now if it's ponzy or not.

Come on guys, if you invested in pirate, then you "know" it's not  ponzy. So what the big deal: let's all withdraw our money, then, when we all have our coins and so the proof that pirate is legit, let's invest again?

Endless discussion are getting us nowhere. Let stess test pirate's, it's the only way to know.

LOL.  Try doing that with any of the 'banks' in the lending forums.  They're all fractional reserve and would buckle under a mass withdrawal.

Try doing that with any bank ever.... same exact result will happen

Exactly.  If they are keeping everything in their vault, it isn't making them money which means they can't pay you unless they are a ponzi.  Your test could prove the exact opposite of what you think it will.

I don't understand where is the 100% proof?
Floating around in the aether somewhere... possibly 100% proof AND 100% lie, given Schrodinger's cat!

Mix in the microwave with a little bit of occam.
731  Other / Meta / Re: Mods: Keep your opinions to yourself (split from BS&T Home thread) on: July 05, 2012, 07:18:54 PM
I can think of no legitimately ethical investment that ceases to be profitable based on the number of investors.
I can, assuming you mean amount of invested capital rather than just the number of investors:

A bank. A bank takes in at-call deposits and then loans funds out long term, for stuff like people buying houses. All their liabilities to depositors are covered by assets (loans), but if 50 % of customers suddenly withdrew their money, the bank wouldn't be able to provide it because they can't suddenly make their borrowers sell the houses they bought with the bank's money and pay it back. They would suffer a liquidity crisis, even if the bank is completely sound.

It's the same with pirate. Everyone withdrawing all at once and causing delays in pirate being able to pay out does not automatically mean he's running a Ponzi (although a Ponzi would show the same effect). It could could just be that his assets are not liquid enough.

The exact same holds true for any of the mining bonds and the like.
732  Economy / Securities / Re: Imsaguy's PPT (7% starting August 1, 2012) on: July 05, 2012, 06:56:34 PM
That's right.. you can earn a full 7%/week on your coins.  Minimum investment is 1k coins for a period of 1 month.  If you're interested, send me a pm so we can coordinate the transition.

So withdraws are monthly?  Or only locked for the first month?

What about interest payments?  Weekly?  Or are you compounding and that's how you make money paying out 7%?

Is pirate going to have a way to just move coin from a retail account to a trust account?  Or would I have to withdraw, send to you, then you to him?

Interest payments are just how they are now.. they happen on Mondays.  You can either take the interest or reinvest it.   I'd like to coordinate withdraws with deposits as best as I can.  Its possible for me to get a .5% bonus if I can keep my balance somewhat stable over the course of the month.

He makes 7% on his coins, but needs yours to get that rate at BST.  It is a pure pass-through.

This is accurate.  Its a pure passthrough and if I can keep the balance stable, I get the .5% bonus.

you have my support if this true.

True Story.
734  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 100% proof pirate runs a ponzi on: July 05, 2012, 04:44:41 PM
Ok Bill Nye, let's break it down:

First off this is a serious post although it may appear as trolling to some who don't value science as much as I do.

Circumstance:
- pirate's business remarkably resembles as HYIP ponzi scheme an inevitable outcome of which will result in a total loss for everyone who "invested" with him
- there is no actual credible evidence that would either confirm or deny that pirate runs a ponzi*

does not equal

it's certain they are getting scamed and will lose everything

You need to go reread about causation and then work on your logic skills.
735  Economy / Securities / Re: BS&T -- Are you staying or leaving? on: July 05, 2012, 06:26:34 AM
I believe that I have a solution that might work for BOTH sides of the so-called Coin....

Obviously people need to agree to dissagree on certain things, but at the end of the day, why don't both sides just concede and call it a...

PERPETUAL-Ponzi Wink

Everyone is happy. Both sides feel a little bit better and we can FUCKING MOVE ON ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Jesus Christ !

This thread was barely 2 pages when I saw it last...LOL

Put the fucking pitchforks and torches away already.

WE ALL KNOW THE RISK

Isn't there another Soap-Box that needs standing/preaching on anywhere else on the Interweb ?

Jesus had nothing to do with it.

In the show pictures of your mining rigs thread, I posted a picture of my 5830s.  There even replies to it.  I'd suggest you go and read that thread.   I can't take pictures of the 5850s, 5970s, 6950s or 7970s right now, it is a holiday and I don't feel like trucking to a DC just to prove some asshat wrong.

Ok, you're not as bad at this as I thought.

Here is the first picture of your rigs which I could swear was just linked (is gone now, dunno why): https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-wNqkX0cir-k/T_UV1y90GVI/AAAAAAAACLg/K4DbKMwOvVQ/s519/IMAG0085.jpg

And this is the one which was in the mining thread. its quoted in rjk's response (your original post seems to have been deleted, not sure why): https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-FK9VQ3OkDXo/T7SBSNrX82I/AAAAAAAACCw/E6raKULPFn8/s751/IMAG0052.jpg

Thanks for the low-rez pics.

Can you ever not bitch?  You double dog dared me for a picture, you got two.  That match. What's your issue?

Edit:  They were taken with the Evo 3D.  I could have posted it in 3D, but your computer wouldn't have done it justice.  I was lazy and used the autoupload of Google+.  Bitch to them about low quality pictures.

Taking GLBT ponzi-loans isn't mining.

I only use GLBSE.  Is that your way of coming out of the closet?
740  Economy / Securities / Re: BS&T -- Are you staying or leaving? on: July 05, 2012, 04:23:00 AM
Lulz, so those pictures of the shitton of gpus I have running are photoshopped.

I just went through all 68 pages of your history and didn't see a single picture of your "farm" (saw a lot of GPUmax, pirate and shakaru stuff). Since there are no pictures, I guess nothing was photoshopped.

EIEIO is completely separate of pirate holdings. I only started the passthrough after the announcing of trust accounts.  Mining, if done correctly, is extremely profitable, even now.

Taking GLBT ponzi-loans isn't mining.

While you were browsing all 68 pages of my history, did you happen to see all the people I've traded with?  I've only purchased hardware, never sold it.  Tell you what.. you pick hardware, anything that I've bought via the forums and I'll post a picture of it.

I already saw pictures of pieces of hardware in your history.

You just claimed there were pics of a "shitton of gpus". Post a picture of your farm, I dare you.
