121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust bitcoin holders? on: May 25, 2024, 09:59:14 PM
Well, I am a Bitcoin holder so I did want to say we are not all like this. I am not anti governments and I am not anti banks. I do trust in myself for this reasons. We have to be very patient with our Bitcoin.

I do like what Bitcoin does have to offer. But I do not want to to overpower the powerful governments and the banking systems in this world.
Being a good citizen of the government does not necessarily mean that you have to follow everything that the government demands. If that’s the case, where’s the freedom there? Investing in bitcoin can never be considered an act against the government or the banks, but it’s simply our own way of motivating ourselves to find  life’s progress and financial security in the future. While bitcoin opportunities are here to make our dreams and goals happen, then taking advantage on it is the best option without ignoring the government laws that we citizens are obliged to follow.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks against cryptocurrency? on: May 25, 2024, 09:19:15 PM
banks cannot accept bitcoin as long as the country has not legalized it, so if the government legalizes bitcoin then banks can accept bitcoin, for example in my country bitcoin is not legal as a medium of exchange if a bank accepts bitcoin then the bank will be subject to legal sanctions.
Banks only follow what the government set policies and rules, once they fail, these banks will be put in sanction and stop their operation. So if you are a co-owner of a bank, you will definitely won’t let it happen and have no choice but to abide with the government rules and regulations for banks. It’s not actually the banks that are in opposition here, but obviously the centralized government who also aim to make bitcoin centralized in order to be legalized.
123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto investment is exhausting for some ? on: May 25, 2024, 08:59:30 PM
Been there, done that. Most of these folks are excited and interested when the bull run is there but talk with them during the bears, they'd show no interest.

The reason is laziness, because people lack accuracy, and they understand this very well.
This is true.

They're lazy, they think that money grows on the trees and they just want to take quick cash.
I guess we all have experienced that feeling that crypto investment can be highly exhausting, the difference is that we manage to overcome that stage, while most of the newbies these days only get excited at the beginning but lose their interest in the middle of the process.

Aside from laziness, I can see that new investors these days are not highly determined and motivated to succeed on their investment. Or they only find great motivation at first, but seeing how uncertain the crypto market is, they end up quitting and leave the market before they’ll incur too much losses.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 25, 2024, 02:43:02 PM
Luka is carrying the Mavs the whole game and if the Wolves can't lock him down, I don't see a chance of them winning.
Wolves are mentally still at the previous series. They thought they could win it all after beating nuggets  Grin

This series might just be lime the last where the road teams win.  Next game for the Wolves is pretty much like a game 7 because if they go down 3-0 it's a wrap.  I wasn't expecting the Wolves to go down 2-0 here but Luka is a straight savage.  Not gonna lie whoever doesn't think he is a top 3 player in the league is crazy.  Dude might not even be in his prime yet.  Enjoying the show that's for sure.
They can't double Luka because that will open up a lot of shooters, and in case their outside shooters struggles, Irving will always come into the rescue to attack the paint with some alley oops to their big men. Dallas not only relying outside, but their ball movement is very much impressive that everyone is getting an opportunity to score. With Luka and Irving great at attacking the paint, it makes their bigs better and better in this game.

In fact, if we compare the production of Lively and Gafford, they could easily beat the production of KAT and Gobert.

That shot on the rib of Luka by Gobert was crazy, I wonder why the refs didn't review it and gave Gobert a flagrant foul. Shocked
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do your parents invest in bitcoin ? on: May 24, 2024, 10:00:00 PM
Are your parents investing in bitcoin ? Has it impacted your journey with crypto ?
Certainly no. They hardly understand the new technology nowadays and since bitcoin investment requires it, they find no reason to engage in bitcoin. And I guess that’s not a missed opportunity for them since I don’t want them to get bothered and pressured in making their investment works.

I can always invest for them because I know whatever amount of profits I can get from bitcoin, I also make it sure that my parents can benefit as well. They raised me well and put me in a position where I am right now, so it’s time for me to give back and offer them a good life that they deserved. And I guess this will be highly possible with bitcoin, not for them to invest since they’re old enough, but for me to focus on it and make it certainly work.
126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What to do to get merit reward? on: May 24, 2024, 09:19:20 PM
To get good merits, it would require one to speak clearly and make good short points that is uncontestably true and informative and contains the right tenses that those who don't speak or hear or write the common English language would be able to make meaning of it.

A good merit point is also a result of early response that is precise when no one else is doing so, because I believe the first responders on a particular topic get the most read from others who came later to read and reply.
To get good merits, be active everyday. That will help you to observe the forum more and help you understand how the forum works. And since getting merits is quite a challenge for everyone, if you do your own diligence to read and understand what is in the forum, you will also learn to improve your knowledge as well as your reasoning ability that you can develop through thorough research and continuous learning in the forum. Just never be lazy and continue to learn what is there to learn in the forum. I believe at the end of the day, you will find yourself good and smart enough to deal with other members posts and concerns, until your answers will be noticeable because they are making a huge impact on the forum members themselves.
127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How you trade in uncertain times? on: May 24, 2024, 08:59:52 PM
We all know how volatile the market is right now especially since we are still near the all-time high. With sudden price swings and unpredictable trends, traders need to be ready with some strategies.
So, what strategies can you advise especially in protecting our capital, some technical analysis strategies? OR some diversification tactics between stablecoins, bitcoin, or altcoins?

Share some of your experiences or tips on effectively trading in these uncertain times.
What I did is that I keep myself focused on small earnings rather than hunting big. I take the opportunity to sell when there is a price increase and not wait for its peak, at least if I could make 1% of every successful trade, I'm already happy and feel safe. It is really a matter of choice of coins and I use different styles of trading depending on the situation. Sometimes we also apply holding especially in times of correction. We need to listen to the market movements and not all the time is good for trading, there is time also to pause and wait for the price to recover as it is difficult to trade when the trend is declining.
You did the right thing. It’s hard to chase bigger profits when there is uncertainty in the market, so earning a small amount is something to be thankful already. Not all traders are given chances to take profits when the market is not at its best condition, but if you are still earning, it means you are exceptionally good and reliable trader. However, for most of the beginner traders, it’s best not to do trading during uncertain times. Its hard to combat the market and instead of anticipating profits, mostly beginners end up trading at a loss. This is why trading during uncertain times is never advisable.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Gambling vs Sport Betting, Lets Discuss on: May 24, 2024, 12:59:04 PM
Sports betting is also amazing, especially when you bet on your favourite team.

I can agree with this, it's really fun if we bet on our favorite team but on the gamblers side, this isn't an effective strategy to win, at least base on my experience only. We can choose between sports betting and in a casino, but personally, I'm more interested with sports betting as I find it very challenging that overtime I'm hoping my skills to improve.

According to the latest update,

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/tyrese-haliburton-injury-update-pacers-guards-status-uncertain-after-hurting-hamstring-vs-celtics/

This is what happened to him.

Quote
Tyrese Haliburton injury update: Pacers guard's status uncertain after hurting hamstring vs. Celtics

And based on my research, this injury will take at least a week.

Quote
Hamstring injury recovery: how long does a hamstring injury take to heal?

Low grade hamstring injuries can heal within several days to 1-2 weeks, which will then see them return to sport/activities.  Larger injuries can take between 2 and 6 weeks for players to return to sport.
https://www.iseh.co.uk/news/latest-news/hamstring-injury-treatment-recovery-time-and-when-to-see-a-doctor

I think the same injury happen to OG with the Knicks and he miss a number of games, did came back in game 7 but only played limited minutes as he is not even 100% yet.

So with no Haliburton, this series is going to end soon.
130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why trading and not something else? on: May 23, 2024, 09:58:00 PM

Why did you decide to start trading one day?

What will be the reason behind trading if not to make money from it? I am trading because I want to make more money. I learned how to trade and started trading because I saw it as another source of income. Despite it not being a stable source of income, it is very hard to continue making profits from trading, but with good knowledge of trading, you can be making a reasonable amount of money, so not everyone is trading because of money.

Why do it,because there is long-term investing, mining or the possibility to do other business, including offline?

I involve myself in trading because I see it as another good way of making money, the truth is that everyone can't rely on one way of making money, so someone set of people have to deal with long-term investments or offline businesses or others of making money. It is all of us will enjoy doing the same things as human beings, as everyone may have something specific they love doing.
I think for certain reason, we all want to engage in trading to make more money. Knowing the fact that trading can give us opportunities to earn and make more money, despite of how risky it is, majority of us here still aim to trade and hopefully become successful with it. And I think with good knowledge and proper training in the market, the desire to be a good trader and to earn well is never far from reality. There may be consistent losses at first, but that is always normal for beginner traders. Once you gain mastery in trading, it will be easier for us to achieve decent amount of profits by then.
131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are signature campaigns still a thing in bitcointalk.org? on: May 23, 2024, 09:25:18 PM
Yes Bitcointalk signature campaigns are still existing. You can use this overview topic to see the lists of signature campaigns and their pay rate

Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 19-May-24]

Are you planning to advertise your company through signature campaign? This would be good.
The demand is still high for bitcointalk signature campaigns. And with other campaigns that have higher rate of payment compared to others, no wonder why some people are eager to participate in these campaigns and keep waiting when there will be slots open. As long as they continue to compensate well, signature campaigns will last longer.

Well, if you plan to advertise your own project or company, I can say this is a good start. Just try to find a reputable manager so that the campaign will end up more successful.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What need to follow to play the stress free gambling game on: May 20, 2024, 02:00:07 PM
Share your experience about this facts in your gambling games,if you have any other for the stress free game. You can share the experience,it may help some new gambler.
There is only one way that I can gamble freely, aka not be burdened with stress, I have been doing this kind of trick for years and I am successful in the way I do it, this method requires patience and full control of our emotions and finances.

The trick I do is to commit to gambling without using salary or fixed income, focus on gambling using side money or unexpected money, I think many of us here get tips or side money in the real world, not corruption money.

Don't ever use your salary to gamble, what's more, if you ever think about using it for a while, you'll definitely win and we'll give it back. If you think about it, you can be sure that you will regret it, so gamble with tips, If we do that, I'm sure if we lose we won't be burdened with stress, try doing it like that, I'm sure losing is not a real problem for us.

I guess that says you are not a regular gambler, because side money are not regularly earned. That trick unfortunately does not work for me as I could not control myself like I always want to gamble, but I am not addicted since I'm not having problem financially due to gambling, it's just that I have fun when I'm gambling and I want to have fun on a daily basis. It doesn't matter if I'm taking it from my salary becasue I made sure to prioritize first my expenses before putting an allocation in gambling.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: May 20, 2024, 01:16:27 PM
You cannot get your confidence back after getting knocked down three times and humiliated, and Sandor's team will go for a title shot.

I like that you mentioned this factor, that loss to Ryan Garcia although it's a non title fight is so big for him, so maybe he is affected emotionally on that and his come back  is just premature and Sandor might be able to use that on his advantage. Now, I like to bet on Sandor as I'm sure he is the heavy underdog, Haney is not unbeatable anymore, and that alone is already a reality that we can consider to be attracted with betting on his opponent.

Quote
We'll know an update on this negotiation in a few weeks.
I thought it's already confirm, what are we talking here? it's confirm that they'll fight but no venue and date yet?
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake curse strikes again, rapper loses on Fury, Usyk bet on: May 20, 2024, 07:43:54 AM
As Usyk knocked down Fury in the ninth round, Drake lost $565000 in the hope to win $1 million.

https://punchmetro.com/drake-curse-strikes-again-rapper-loses-on-fury-usyk-bet/?utm_source=punch&utm_medium=punch_backlink

I think he should go after other sport as he is losing in boxing.

I mean it's not only Jake that loses big money in that fight, Fury is the favorite so it's a easy bet and the odds are very attractive so I wouldn't blame Drake or anyone who put a bet on him. Unfortunately, Usyk is the better fighter that night. Others might call it a curse as obviously Drake is a high profile celebrity and putting big bet. But there could also be others who bet bigger than him in millions and also got that big L.

He can still continue with his gambling though, as he continues to stream with Stake about this favorite game, which is the roulette wheel with single 0.

If Drake is losing a lot of money as evidence by the bet slips he shared, I think he is still in profit if this article below is accurate.

source
Quote
According to the Financial Times, Drake and Stake teamed up on a $100M endorsement deal in 2022, despite Drake signing up for the website in late 2021.

$100 million compared ot his total losses... anyone have a figure on how much his total losses in stake, or even just an estimate would do. I'm sure it's not over $100 million, right?

So, the huge losing bets is just nothing compared to what he made with stakes, and not sure if he is still in contract with the casino but that huge contract is big enough to conver all his losses.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: May 20, 2024, 06:30:49 AM

Ryan is too popular to be ignored in the boxing industry. If banned he will just join the exhibitions being matched everywhere by the celebrities today. I think Ryan will be a good match with Jake. They are friends but I think people will still watch them. Or he fights against Sean Omalley.

Even if Haney will be successful in bring Ryan down in the industry and nullified his loss, its not something that will be erased on the internet.

The world will not stop for him because he can always use his popularity to have an exhibition fight, for sure he can still attract crowd and ensure himself a good payday. Maybe in the future since Ryan is already one of the popular celebrity, he can joined the acting job like Connor which has already been seen in  movies.  But let's just focus on the current situation, those are just my futuristic view about a possible job he could do to continue his cash stream.

So if he will be proved to have used a ban substance in boxing, what would be his punishment? I read the news and rumors but didn't follow it carefully so I woudl be interested to know from anyone here who keeps following the progress of this issue.
136  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: May 20, 2024, 04:56:23 AM
I was part of the campaign during the early stages, so I would like to post a message here to congratulate BestChange for running a successful campaign. It wasn't easy in the beginning, as there were some doubters, but you did an impressive job proving your company is legitimate. In fact, some of those who doubted have since worked with your company.

BestChange is now an established company, and everyone knows it, as you have been running the campaign for over four years. Good luck with your future plans, and may the business continue to prosper.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 20, 2024, 04:41:00 AM
I'm right with my vote, Mavs vs Wolves in the WCF. Anyway, incredible series between the Nuggets and Wolves. By far the best series in these playoffs. Both Murray and Jokic scored more than 30 points, but their four teammates only contributed a total of 21 points. I thought the Nuggets could still come back and the Wolves were in foul trouble, but that follow-up dunk by KAT solidified their win. Also, kudos to Reid for the good defense in the fourth quarter. Mavs vs Wolves will also be a good matchup, but nah, Celtics vs Wolves it is.
Nuggets unable to play good defense in the 2nd half, they had the momentum already and I can't believe they allowed the Wolves to come back and beat them. Well, I guess Jokic vs Luka two friends are not really destine to face each other in the WCF, we now have the Dallas and Wolves.

The streak continues, now its 6 NBA season where NBA champions have not advance in the WCF.

By the way, about the Knicks vs Pacers game, it's also the road game that win the game, and I heard this from one of the commentators.

"best shooting percentage in the NBA playoff history"

That's because the Pacers shoot 67.1%
138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding cryptocurrency on: May 19, 2024, 08:52:13 PM
In everything there is always a beginner, in political way there are beginner even in the crypto world 🌍 we still have a beginner, so as a beginners in crypto you should know how it works first before you get into it, there was a guy complaining that he lost in trading crypto, and he is telling some of he's friend not to go into crypto just because he lost and he didn't follow the signal, I just want to say that you need to understand how it works first before you start, thank you.
In trading, you need to experience losing before you gain and win a trade. It's not as fancy as people hear about from the stories of success in trading. Do not assume that just it had worked for them, it will work to you asap. It doesn't have to be like that because it takes time for one to learn trading. And if you're that type of following signals and completely reliant on it, you're trading the wrong way. Many of these signals have been proven and made to just take and milk your money.
There’s always losses prior to success, not only in trading alone but even in different endeavors. Most especially if you rush into trading without taking your time even learning the basics, you will end up with consistent losses at first so you will learn some lessons and improve your trading performance.

While trading can hit huge rewards if you are doing it correctly, but it will also make you lose your funds instantly in just a blink of an eye. This is why we should always trade with caution, most especially for those who are still starting to learn the process. Trading signals are not reliable, so learn not to depend on it.
139  Other / Off-topic / Re: Floyd Mayweather detained in Dubai due to gambling debts? on: May 19, 2024, 12:30:45 PM
According to various posts on the internet, he has a net worth of at least $400 million, so being unable to pay $100 million seems strange. If the news is true, he just needs to sell some of his mansions and other assets, so it shouldn't be a big problem. FYI, he earned $300 million fighting McGregor in 2018 and more than $1 billion in his entire career.

Regarding gambling in Saudi Arabia, perhaps he played with oil kingpins. Since he is a U.S. citizen, there's little chance of him getting punished.

That's a lot of money but he gambles on his will so he need to pay that amount. With his net worth, that's  25% less, that would hurt. Probably Floyd came not bringing huge money as he is expecting to win, and in the middle of gambling things got heated on him and bet a huge amount, as a result he owed $100 million, that's just my speculation though, but regardless, if this news is really true, then he needs to pay as he is capable of paying.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 19, 2024, 11:44:36 AM
If you see gambling as a business opportunity, why not? Sometimes I do borrow money when I see a game that I believe I could won, but I always limit on how much I would only borrow, and I have to make sure that I'll be able to pay it from my income just incase my bet would be wrong.

This may look like an irresponsible action, but like I mentioned, when i see it as an opportunity, I don't hesitate borrowing, and I think there's nothing wrong with that as long as you know how to pay your debt.
