221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you also panic when bitcoin price falls more than 10-20% in a day ? on: June 29, 2024, 02:04:31 PM
So far, bitcoin price do not fall that much on a daily basis. However, if ever it happens in the future, I wouldn’t lie I will surely be in panic, but not to the extent of thinking recklessly and sell immediately my coins at a loss. That will only make my investments worst.

But to be honest, since bitcoin is highly volatile since birth, this scenario might probably become possible any time of the day, but as long as we don’t get bothered easily and never fall into the trap, and just focus to our end goal, we will still end up successful and profitable with our bitcoin investment. I think that’s the most important thing here.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you recognize a match fixing? on: June 29, 2024, 01:12:47 PM

I believe we've seen a lot of these circumstances already and most people think it's just human errors. What I think is that, these has been set up by someone from the inside who has connections from the gambling firms in an attempt to alter the outcome to their favor.
Gambling is rapidly becoming huge, and sports nowadays are becoming more of a business than being a sports itself.
These are just my opinion based on my observation. How about you? what do you think?

There are several matches that I have seen where a player foul play his opponent and yet the referee did not say anything - when I say he didn't say anything, he's been dishing yellow cards to the other team but when this specific one fouled he just went watch the reply and didn't award any card. In such cases that's when I am suspicious of a fixed match and probably he was paid to be strict with one and not the other.

But what is your approach to winning your bet in this situation? With your description, you are watching live, so it's live betting. Therefore, I'm curious if what you noticed has really made you profitable or if you still have not been able to bet on the right side.

You know, there are a lot of games we can bet on, and sometimes we think it's fixed when the game doesn't seem to favor our bet. So, sometimes we get emotional and think that a game is fixed when, in fact, it's not.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bookmaker's predictive mistakes. on: June 29, 2024, 12:46:02 PM
Bookmaker mistakes are often predicted by some experienced gamblers, and once any error is detected, they take advantage immediately.

I don't know what kind of errors they can take advantage of when bookmakers make sure that they do their job well. Just imagine, if they make mistakes and cater to many sportsbooks, it would be a big hit on their reputation and they would eventually struggle. So it's a mistake that cannot happen for them to remain in business. There are times when the odds are wrong, but they can revert or correct it as it has a basis or justification. Other than that, I don't see any kind of mistake that is costly on their part.
224  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's price surpass $100,000 by the end of 2025? on: June 29, 2024, 10:20:37 AM
Most people are very optimistic and have faith that bitcoin will definitely reach 100k$ in the first or second quarter of 2025. But in the end, no one knows what will happen in the future and everyone only makes their prediction, it may or may not happen and no one can guarantee their judgment. And just because everyone has the same prediction doesn't mean it will definitely happen. What I want to say here is that we should be optimistic and confident in our choices, but that does not mean we become subjective and do not have a backup plan because we cannot predict the future. Always prepare yourself with a plan B when things don't go as we expected.
Of course everyone is extremely optimistic about bitcoin because it has the highest demand from its investors and everyone expected to get the highest possible returns after risking their funds. And we all know bitcoin is very much capable to reach $100k or even $200k, but the question is no one can tell exactly when it’s going to happen in the market. However, seeing the current market trend, since bitcoin is still in its bullish season, then it’s never surprising that one day, bitcoin will hit that certain amount or even above of it.
225  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why you want to rank up in the forum? on: June 28, 2024, 09:59:09 PM
It’s like working on a job, you need promotion to experience progress in what you’re doing and to stay highly motivated as well. Seeing your rank leveling up is a good indication that you are doing well in the forum, and that you are doing it positively.

While it can be a good signal that you’re now capable to participate in signature campaigns and become well compensated, ranking up also marks that you’re taking some growth and development in the forum, one thing that any member should see it as an essential, otherwise you will left forever in a low position because you never goal for something higher and something more valuable.
226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Persevering Through Crypto Trading Losses on: June 28, 2024, 09:16:15 PM
Should quitting be an option as a crypto trader with years of experience who just encountered a massive loss because of a few shady characters?
If what you mean by shady character is a coin that is not clear like a meme coin that is trending, then what you should do is get out of trading in coins like that, not get out of trading.
New coins whose development is not clear will make your trading focus only on luck, if you are lucky you can make big profits, if not you will suffer big losses which will make you frustrated, but if you are an experienced trader then it is difficult to be interested in coins like that because experience has taught you many things because what is happening now has also happened a long time ago, where many new coins have emerged which more often give big losses to real traders unless you are involved in a group that is used to dumping and pumping, which make you only trades relies on the movement of the group.
I certainly agree on this. Don’t stop trading, but avoid trading those shady, unfamiliar coins because they don’t seem to be helpful for you. Otherwise, you will just put into waste all those years that you have been training in trading, and you will miss all the opportunities to get massive profits. As long as losses don’t still outnumbered your wins, that’s good to say that you should stay trading and continue to improve it, rather than leave trading for good and your chances to make life changing profits will be instantly gone as well.
227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Meme coins so how you trade them to make constant profits ? on: June 27, 2024, 10:00:12 PM
Meme coins are no good for trading. They don't exist for sustainable profits, but most likely for entertainment as they are inspired from internet memes. Although some have experienced those previous luck and end up highly profitable, but usually they don't exist for long term but end up as undervalued.

Nevertheless, I'm still not against those trading with meme coins. But as a friendly reminder, never trade more than you can afford to lose, and never anticipate too much profits from these memes.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: biggest criticism of Bitcoin on: June 27, 2024, 09:30:00 PM
Hello!

I would be interested to know what you think is the biggest criticism of Bitcoin or where you see the biggest weakness?

And what would you respond to this criticism if you were confronted with it in a conversation?

Thank you for your critical thinking!

Yours, DrHodler59
I will not go far but I guess Bitcoin will always be criticized as a get rich quick scheme because the government always supported that accusation. Now asking how to defend that, I would not actually go in details but always tell the people to do their own research. I think that's the best favor I can do for bitcoin, not easily believing on lies but learn to verify those criticisms through in-depth research first.
229  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Boxing : Teofimo Lopez vs. Steve Claggett -WBO JWT - Guess and win! on: June 26, 2024, 01:22:53 PM
Teofimo Lopez KO/TKO in round 11

230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 26, 2024, 08:58:43 AM
I also eyeing for bookies to bring that odds I would be glad throwing some spares for team PH either handicap if available or ML.

They are not available yet, just checked with my bookie and could not find any odds on all upcoming games in this olympic qualifiers. I'm not thinking of the handicap here, I'd rather take a high risk and just bet on the moneyline, for sure the odds will be so high that would try to entice us, so I'm in.

As long as Justin Brownlee is there, I really like their chance as I haven't seen them losing to a team by a huge margin under Tim Cone's coaching job.
I guess we are all excited here, so let's help each other on update when the odds are possible and of course the streaming link as well once the game will will start.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Teofimo Lopez vs Steve Claggett WBO Super Lightweight Title - June 29 on: June 26, 2024, 06:57:26 AM
Based on the odds also, this could be a mismatch.

Quote
Teofimo Lopez vs Steve Claggett Odds
Fighter   Odds
Teofimo Lopez   -1100
Steve Claggett   +650
https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/news/boxing/teofimo-lopez-vs-steve-claggett-prediction-odds-how-to-watch-june-29/

Not so attractive so I'd just bet on the KO odds as shared by bisdak. Imagine betting $1100 to win $100, that's crazy, I can't risk with that kind of odds although everyone believed that Lopez are gonna win this fight, but you know, upset happened in boxing anytime.

I like the over/under as well, maybe I'm taking the under 10.5. (tailing with bisdak here).
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know that bitcoin has spread all over the world. on: June 24, 2024, 09:22:38 PM
Well, I have been doing some online searches recently to see if there is any country out of the 195 countries in the world that is not yet aware of Bitcoin, but I have not seen any results for my search; rather, what I am only seeing is a result for countries where Bitcoin is banned or not banned, and it really makes me think that there is no part of the world that is not yet aware of Bitcoin, but I am not totally convinced.

I heard that there is one country that doesn't put on clothes; they are always necked and only use animal skin to cover their private parts, just like in the Stone Age. If there is truly still such an underdeveloped country, I doubt they would be aware of Bitcoin.

The truth is that the knowledge of Bitcoin has really spread to a lot of countries and regions of the world now, compared to 2009, when it just got developed.
Bitcoin has existed more than a decade, so expect that by now, majority of the people have already known about bitcoin. Although not all of them are actually educated about it, but at least they know that bitcoin exists. With the help of internet, Bitcoin has been spread all over the world, knowing that it's always hyped in the social media most particularly when it comes to getting rich quick, even if in reality Bitcoin is not capable to make us rich instantly.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set a specific bankroll before gambling or not? on: June 24, 2024, 05:21:53 PM
To me, the management of one's bankroll is one of the most important aspects one needs to keep control over one's expenses, and he bling in the majority of occasions is an expense. So it makes sense to me to keep track on ones expenses and stick to it as much as possible, so one won't see unpleasant numbers with one tries to adjust ones budget...
Tough, I also believe keeping ones register on the amounts of money gambled away in casinos or bookies could be a disadvantage, because, it could be tempting for anyone to add all the monthly expenses and come up with a very high number of money gambled away, depending on the personality of the gambler, that could lead to loss chasing or depression. That is pretty much what the dubget control tried to prevent from happening, ironically.

I think that is one of the things that depend a lot on the personality of each player, I once tried to do something like that, with an excel, at that time I had a huge fever to play dice in freebitco.in and for me it was incredible, I received something from the faucet, and then I played, I had great control but when I compared what I had lost and what I had won, it was really very little and that lowers the intensity a lot and lowers morale too, then one seems to get disappointed with their results, that is why I learned that each game session is unique, no matter what happens that is where you have to play accepting everything, that is why when I tried to do that control it did not go well for me.

You won't be happy if you keep tracking your wins and losses in a game where the house edge is present. It's a no-brainer that once there's a house edge, we will never win in the long run. Even if the house edge is as low as 1% on dice, we still don't have that so-called "edge." This game is actually considered luck-based because we can only win when we are lucky. Since we are regular gamblers, even if we win today, we will still come back to gamble again, and that's where the principle of losing in the long run comes in.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you look obvious when you win or lose in gambling after you log out on: June 24, 2024, 05:02:15 PM
I think it's just normal to feel happy when we win and a little upset when we lose; that's how we react because we are just humans. However, we should not let it affect our day, especially the losing experience, as it will not help in making our day productive. That's why it's important to have control and not consume your day with gambling activities because that could possibly lead to addiction.

At the end of the day, we gamble because we want to be entertained, so we should accept whatever the outcome is, even if it's not what we expected. As gamblers, we expect to win every time we gamble, but in reality, gamblers don't win most of the time. So, we should also accept that reality as gamblers.
235  Other / Off-topic / Re: The real winning of gambling is withdrawals on: June 24, 2024, 03:14:05 PM
Gamblers have a target and that's accumulating profits but it doesn't end well on the ends of most of them because the system is designated to lure one for heavy losses but the smart ones do make it out alive.

Self discipline is very important in the world of gambling because the concept at which gambling is made up of is too attractive that you can hardly control yourself from putting more money even when you have won more than enough while gambling, so indeed gambling is like a journey that only the wise or the smart ones can be able to return, however to last longer while gambling setting a target is very paramount because is a factor that would remind you when you are going against it, so perhaps I consider those gamblers as the smart ones because even as others continue losing on there gambling they will keep making more wining and withdrawing some of there winnings.

There are only a few who are profitable in gambling, and that is the best goal for us gamblers to follow. Though it's not impossible, it's not easy to achieve. And yes, self-discipline is very important because winning in gambling is not achieved overnight. Those who are successful in this field spend a lot of time mastering their skills until they become successful. The first step is choosing the kind of game we play, and it's important that this game has no house edge and allows you to use your skills to win. Otherwise, whatever your gambling strategy is, it will not work because the house edge will always put us at a disadvantage.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, to quit when winning or to quit when losing? on: June 24, 2024, 02:25:10 PM
This topic makes me remember and relate it to this one: "The real winning of gambling is withdrawals."
We could use that as a basis and compare on how many times we withdraw versus the times we deposit.

Personally, I can say that I have more deposits, so I don't need to check my record if I'm doing fine because I would only be upset, lol.

While gambling, if you are winning and you decide not to withdraw your profit, you may still end up losing them all in the casino, and that is why I will personally withdraw my winnings and only leave to withdraw a small amount, which I can use later to gamble with.

Just as you have said, @OP, let's assume I have a $100 bankroll and I increase it to $500. That means I have made a profit of $400, right? What I will do is withdraw the $400 and only leave the $100 I initially started with. I don't have to wait until I have lost almost all the money up to $10.
That's a safe strategy. At least with that $100, when we gamble, it doesn't give us a lot of pressure anymore. I hope we will be able to stay disciplined, as there are gamblers who get affected and chase their losses. So, in your case, if you win and have withdrawn the $400 but lose the $100, do you think it would be easy for you to walk away with that $400 after losing the remaining $100, or would you feel challenged and think about depositing again?

If perhaps am not able to increase the $100 far more and I ended up to lose all of it just in one day, I will definitely leave and not repeat again through out that day but if I had allow all the $500 to site in my casino balance, I will definitely have the urge to keep trying luck and before you realize it, i must have already lose all the money, so it's better to save yourself of the temptation and withdraw your profit, leaving behind the amount you are willing to gambling off. I don't love to spend too much on gambling just in one day, $100 is even too much to waste just in a daily staking.

Thanks for answering my question. I can see that you are a responsible gambler. You have plans that you follow, and you understand how and when to stop. Personally, I'm not so disciplined when it comes to gambling. Though I must say that I have learned a lot from my years of being a gambler, from time to time I have this problem where I cannot stop when I'm down because I want to end the session with a profit. As a result, when I try to break my rules, I end up losing my focus in the game. Most of the time, when I do this kind of thing, not only do I lose my winnings, but also the entire money I have, including my initial bankroll.

238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 24, 2024, 08:30:42 AM
1. It's obvious that the Hawks need more height and muscles. They already have Trae Young and Deounte Murray who are exceptional on the offensive end. Defense is what the Hawks will try to upgrade more.

That's true, they need to improve their defense, but actually Trae Young also have to improve his defense as he is on the floor with majori minutes and he might just be a target int he switch. Just like Curry, he is an exceptional shooter but in the long run he was able to improve his defense, that's why the Warriors are a strong defensive team despite lack of size.

I hope we will see a surprise next season, especially those teams who would get the top 3 in the pick as for sure the players that they'll draft are skilled and could change the team with a good improvement. Next season also, Trae Young will be fully recovered from injury, and maybe we will again see the Hawks in the playoffs.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] David Benavidez vs. Olexandr Gvozdyk interim WBC Championship on: June 23, 2024, 12:12:20 PM
Given Beterbiev's age, maybe Benavidez gets lucky. But against Bivol, he will be badly outboxed and if he remains having that kind of soft body he might not be able to survive for 12 rounds.
That's how I also see if they are gonna fight. Benavidez the younger boxer could not dominate his opponent despite winning this via unanimous decision. Not a big win for him as fans are not entertain, I mean we were expecting a KO to hype his name in this division but it looks like he wasn't able to bring his power.

If I'm Canelo, I will call out Benavidez at 168 for the undisputed belts. Canelo is not also in his prime but based on his fight against Mungia he will beat Benavidez.
I agree with this. it would still be an anticipated fight as these possible fight have been talked before, maybe if it will happen and Canelo wins, he can then challenge Bivol for a rematch, that will still be a 50/50 fights despite Canelo losing on their first meeting.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: June 23, 2024, 11:38:52 AM
^^ He can do whatever he thinks is right for him, but the emotional damage has been done to him,  Grin.

Now he is contented to fight Sandor Martin to about what $3 million the most? While in his fight against Ryan, maybe $20 million to him, so that is a huge discrepancy and it just shows that he is not the A-side, as much as we wanted to say that the has a lot of fans.

He should thank Ryan for that and not chase him and file a case. They should move already as Ryan is suspended and paying hefty fines.

He can't move on easily for what Ryan did to him. The guy beat him badly as he can't do anything and clearly he was defeated at their match. That's why as part of revenge he will do all totally destroy Ryan's career. This shows that Haney is cry baby and cannot accept his defeat. Many people see that fight and what currently he's receiving now is part of his defeat that's why he can't accept that everything declines especially the offers that he receive.

Maybe he don't care anymore about what people may say about his action done. Since I think what's more important to Haney is to punish Ryan and save his face for the big shame what Ryan brought to him on their last match up.

Ryan doesn't seemed to feel that the purse was not given to him as in his statement before, he made $10 million betting on himself to bet Haney.

Ryan Garcia Says He Made $10M Betting On Himself to Beat Devin Haney in Boxing Fight

So he made bigger money compared to his purse. Speaking of Haney, he did thought that because of that loss, his value was declining, which means offers not as big as before, so he is really fighting to justify that he loss because Ryan cheated. Well, we can't control what Haney is thinking now, but I think his value really declined despite getting the decision in favor of him.
