641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 05, 2023, 08:56:01 PM
You know it’s okay to cry because you become devastated of your losses, but posting it on social media is such a big mistake. You just prove to yourself that you are a very irresponsible gambler and that you enter gambling without preparing for its risk. Although I understand why this lady had resort into posting her experience just to raise awareness to her viewers, but I can it’s not the sports betting that is at fault but it’s all the gambler itself. This is why gambling should only be for people who have strong identities and will never be for weak hearts that gets easily affected whenever they experience their first losses.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 05, 2023, 02:39:57 PM

Maybe I am wrong, but it seems to me that any player will lose market value if he changes teams every season and acts like Simmons did earlier or like Harden this offseason. Who knows, maybe Harden will purposely misbehave both on and off the court during the upcoming season, and the 76ers will have no choice but to trade him. Of course, it's unlikely that will happen, though I wouldn't be surprised by it.

They really need to act and give these kinds of players some harsh punishment in order not to be followed by others because there has not been a problem like this before. yes, players back then had their own life outside the court like Dennis Rodman when he attended some parties and other stuff but when he got inside the court with the Bulls he still played and managed to take his role as the crucial rebounder for the team. while in this NBA era that we have right now, the players will do everything they can just to be traded or get out from their team if they want to.

There's a reason why a player would want to leave a team.

Once a player signs a contract with a certain team, they have a mutual understanding that they will follow the contract. Part of that understanding is that a player could request a trade if they do not feel happy playing with the team. There are many factors that could affect this decision. The same goes for the team; if they are not happy with a player's performance or for whatever reason, they can arrange a trade. So what happens here is that both the team owners and the player have 50/50 rights to do what they want, as long as it does not violate the contract. If it does, that's another story, and it could lead to a legal battle.
643  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Basketball]Gilas Pilipinas Asian Games 2023 Update on: October 05, 2023, 01:59:08 PM

Ito ata yun " you win for Ginebra, that's awesome and people will be happy, but if you win for Philippines, that's already in the history and people will not forget you"... And that's exactly what happen.

644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: October 04, 2023, 08:38:10 PM
I will quite gambling when I do not see it as fun again. If I do not derive any fun from gambling, then why I mine gambling. This is not by age or anything than the fun that I am having when I am gambling.

If I have grown up, maybe I will quit gambling but I do not think so, especially if I still have the fun when I am doing it.
We can always experience fun in gambling as long as we don’t see it more of a source of income. That even if we are losing, that won’t matter as long as we get the fun and got entertained. But I also think when the time comes that I’m no longer capable to work anymore and my source of income will be limited, I don’t think I will still be able to gamble and look for fun. For me, gambling will only waste my money and effort by that time, instead I just spend my money on things that are more worthy than to spend it in gambling wherein only me gets satisfied.

647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Educate yourself to be a frugal gambler on: October 02, 2023, 03:08:17 PM
Play for fun. If you are not playing for fun, you are doing it wrong. Gambling should be done to entertain yourself only, and always remember that gambling is not a sound financial investment. I have witnessed the horrors of people who blow their kids college funds and life savings on gambling at a Casino. Don't be one of these people. Have a daily or weekly gambling budget and learn which games you like and how to play them so that you can actually have much more fun playing them than just winging any game.

Everyone knows that basically gambling is for entertainment, but sometimes people use this industry to make money, I know several people who make gambling as their living and they have succeeded this far. There's nothing wrong with their goals as long as they can manage the risks they have and are aware of the dangers of gambling for a living. Whether their goals are wrong or not, it's up to each individual to decide.
As long as there are successful gamblers who are earning a living out from gambling, the original design for gambling which is to give fun and entertainment will always be underrated. So it’s not actually wrong whether the people will see gambling as a source of living, because a lot can actually prove that it can be a profitable source for wise and professional gamblers. However, since gambling is still luck and chance based, not all gamblers are given the chance to be in profits, that’s why some just resort into enjoying their favorite games even if they are losing from it.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: October 02, 2023, 01:49:37 PM
Next in line is probably Benavidez. Currently, he is the boxer that I think would really match Canelo. I'm not sure if Canelo will win, but if he does, then the finale would be to avenge his loss to Bivol.

Maybe we will see a good fight that time. However, I think that fight is not going to happen this year. We are already in the last quarter of the year, and Canelo has already had 2 fights. I think he will rest in the remaining months and enjoy the money he earned this year. Benavidez also has a great record, but I believe he is not on Canelo's level. He's probably just on the same level as Charlo, the boxer that Canelo beat today. Canelo's biggest challenge is Bivol; therefore, the rematch should happen.

In terms of skill Benavidez isn't a whole lot better than Charlo but he has other advantages. He is a natural super middleweight, he is younger, he is 6'2" (1.88 m), and is a bigger puncher than Canelo. Benavidez could easily be fighting at light heavyweight. He is not somebody that Canelo can just manhandle and impose his will through brute force. Canelo will have to outbox Benavidez but he's not nearly as fast and gets hit a lot more than when he was at his peak. It's a fight that can go either way but I favor Benavidez slightly.

I appreciate your comment! Favouring Benavidez might not be the most common opinion among posters. If that fight were to happen, I believe Canelo would still be a heavy favourite. It's understandable that bookies set odds like that because he is very popular now. As a result, the betting odds are often overvalued, making it favourable for bettors like you who believe in his opponent's potential to win.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquaio vs Mayweather 2 rematch on: October 02, 2023, 01:11:25 PM
Even if it's an exhibition match Mayweather will think twice about facing Pacquiao, but Mayweather is a money man, and if the price is right both fighters might go for it, there is no certainty OP provided in the article, it's 50/50 it depends on the promoters who can push this, both fighters are still not retiring on fighting in the ring although its only for exhibition, there's a big possibility that they will agree to fight if both fighters need money, Pacquiao who run and loss on election spend a lot of money so he needs a big fight, Mayweather is spending a lot and he has a lot of people to give salary.
We'll see if there's development but right now its all speculation.

Pacquiao needs to train harder this time, as in their last face-off, it was Mayweather who dominated the fight, resulting in a unanimous decision win for him. While this upcoming fight may be just an exhibition, I'm very certain that the potential revenue generated from it could surpass that of many professional fights today. It's entirely possible that both fighters could make $10 million or more easily.

Consider this: the Paul Brothers, who aren't as legitimate boxers as Pacquiao and Mayweather, have generated massive amounts of money in their boxing careers. Given the fanbase and reputation of Pacquiao and Mayweather, it's likely that this exhibition will be a financial success, potentially surpassing than any big professional fights in boxing this year.

Wow Boston just landed jrue holiday for a couple picks and so.e bench pieces (I like Robert Williams a lot though).  That's a great pick up from Boston.  Now I need to see the Bucks and Boston play, those games will be fun to watch.

It's great that they landed Jrue Holiday. They needed a player who can step up in clutch moments and also play good defense. Losing Smart is okay because they have Jrue Holiday now. This guy is not only good in defense but can also attack the paint and shoot from outside. He will be a great addition to the team, and Boston will surely benefit from his experience as a champion.

However, losing Malcolm Brogdon and center Rob Williams is significant, especially Rob Williams, who is a good rim protector.

I'm not sure what their plan is here, but getting Holiday required sacrificing a bit of their lineup. Let's see how it goes.
651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: October 01, 2023, 09:55:21 PM
Trading needs a long preparation not only when it comes to your funds but a big part of you should also be committed enough to take its risk and handle it with caution. Otherwise, if you trade for short term goal, you will never be satisfied completely but if you have set long term goals for trading, initial losses should not bother you because in the end, you will gain satisfying profits that only long term trading is able to give you.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ban from a Casino for Nothing Other Than Winning Too Much Money on: October 01, 2023, 08:58:34 PM
If that was the casinos decision to ban Dana White on their premises, nothing Dana can do but just have fun on them. The casino can do that anytime in a professional way. Since Dana is now damaging the overall revenue of the casino, they decide to kicked him out. Maybe at first, the said casinos are happy that there's a big whale spending money on them but later on, Dana now become a big threat lol.

Lucky Dana. Even he's a whale, he still need that dn luck to win huge consistently.
I guess that’s the only way that certain casino can prevent their huge loss, through banning Dana White and make him out of the picture. I believe he’s an avid gambler ever since so I guess that surprised him that he can’t bet anymore and act like a big whale. But he’s still lucky that he managed to win millions of dollars on a single night a lot of times, so it’s not his loss anyway, and he also can’t blame the casino as well for banning him.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 01, 2023, 09:10:35 AM

However, we are not done yet. As you mentioned, our team will still qualify for the quarter-finals, so let's continue the support. But when it comes to betting on the team, we have to think twice.

Yeah, we are not done yet. We will be in the quarter-finals, and we got lucky because we are not going to face China. As for Jordan, they are in the same bracket, so they need to beat the host team to advance to the semi-finals. I am not sure if it's a strategy of Tim Cone to avoid China, but I've seen a major problem in that game, and our team needs to improve in the next game, especially in outside shooting.

Next game will be against Qatar. (October 2)  Gilas vs. Qatar [LIVE] 4:00pm (Qualification to QF)

654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: October 01, 2023, 08:34:44 AM
Who might be Canelo's next opponent? There is nothing for him in super middleweight anymore except more money from other super middleweight fights or maybe if he accepts Bivol's challenge in Canelo's weight division.

In any case, if everyone is listening to Canelo's interview in the ring, it appears he will not retire soon hehehe. Next fight I wish will be vs. Benavidez!

Benavidez is the only fighter worth mentioning. A rematch with Bivol would be a one sided snoozefest. Crawford is too small and would lose similarly to Charlo. Benavidez never lost his belt in the ring and is the current mandatory. Canelo said he didn’t care who was next so there is no excuse for Haymon not to make the fight everybody wants to see.

It's worth mentioning these three, actually. Without a doubt, Canelo beat Charlo easily. Whoever comes first among the three names mentioned, it's always okay. But I'm sure promoters will try to prioritize which fighter to pair with Canelo to generate more money. With that said, I think Crawford is the top priority. That way, if Crawford really struggles in carrying his power, Canelo's camp would ensure they'll have an easy win but with a bigger reward.

Next in line is probably Benavidez. Currently, he is the boxer that I think would really match Canelo. I'm not sure if Canelo will win, but if he does, then the finale would be to avenge his loss to Bivol.

I often see a lot of advices telling people not to fall for airdrop scams that serve too good to be true, but I think some people do not still learn from other people's mistakes and losses. Most especially for newbies as they have unstable emotions towards airdrops and when these scam airdrops create huge profits promises, newbies will definitely bite that offer and end with regrets.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: September 30, 2023, 09:25:29 PM
If you let yourself fall on gambling addiction, surely it will bring some negative effects on your spouse and most especially on your children. Your quality time that you reserved for your family will be steal by your gambling habit, leaving your family feeling not prioritized. Thus, if it will continue to happen, eventually you end up ruining the relationship with your children and break your marital promise with your spouse.
657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you had AI day trade bitcoin to make profits on: September 30, 2023, 08:54:03 PM
How would one do so efficiently? I am very interested.
Using AI to day trade does not guarantee success and profits most especially for beginners who jump into day trading without sufficient experience. However, if you are an experienced trader and have gained adequate knowledge and skills as a trader, and you've honed working strategies to rely on, probably using AI will give you easier and bigger profits. But still, this does not apply to all types of traders.

Finally, we are going to see the best fighters in the business. Whoever wins this fight should be the best heavyweight in the world. I'm wondering where Zhang will sit; he just recently defended the championship, right? But let's forget about that for now and focus on the upcoming big fight.

As for the betting odds, I'm not certain if they're official, but according to this source below, Fury is a heavy favorite.

@LFC_Bitcoin do we have a voting poll?

I want this fight to happen, Zhang could wait for the winner of the fight or get a tune fight while waiting who the winner is, Zhang also deserves to have a crack on those titles after delivering a great performance against Joyce, Fury is the heavy favorite right now, but there could be a shift if Ngannou exposes him.

There should be a poll for this so we'll know if the majority of members here favor Fury, I like Fury but things could change after his match against Ngannou I hope he's still the same Fury we know.

If this list is updated. https://www.espn.ph/boxing/story/_/id/12370125/boxing-champions-list

Quote
Heavyweight (Unlimited)
WBO: Oleksandr Usyk*

IBF: Oleksandr Usyk

WBA: Oleksandr Usyk

WBC: Tyson Fury

*Zhilei Zhang is the WBO interim heavyweight champion

I guess the winner of this fight could choose not to fight Zhilei Zhang as he is just a WBO interim champion. But for the sake of entertainment, promoters might schedule Zhilei Zhang for a fight against either the winner or the loser of the fight, as I'm pretty sure it will still generate a lot of money.

However, there's still someone in line to fight Fury, and that will be the winner of Wilder vs. Joshua (if this fight will also happen).

Since I know cryptocurrency my biggest fear is to lost all my capital or large amounts in trading or investment, because of the fear in me I don't do things that I'm not sure of or things I don't know. My fear to lose have always been a motivation or a reason for me to know things concerning cryptocurrency,  I fear to start trading when I'm of myself that I know nothing to trade , fear to start investment when I know that I don't have a source of income.

My fear have been a motivation to learn,  even If I start trading I may lose but not to lose everything because of the understanding I have. My fear to lose have always made me to take the right decisions and not to make money money my first ultimate in trading and investment but understanding as my first priority.

I know some of my mates who are into  cryptocurrency that phobia to lose but even with the fear to lose they still go ahead to trade. If beginners allows their fear to motivate them to learn first their won't be drastic lose in trading.

For those who are still not capable to trade, it's better to fear not to trade so you can avoid inevitable losses. But if you are already in the trading industry, it's always a motivation to be fearful and to risk things like most of the successful traders often do. However, make sure that you know the weight of those risks so you can easily manage and overcome all those risks.
