1021  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Overcoming my fear of bitcoin and online businesses on: May 28, 2023, 09:11:32 PM
Your first choice is stepping out to confront that fear which eclipsed you in the past. That you've successfully done. The second part is to realize that those who quit don't win and those who later won never quit. Now that you're here, you should embrace learning like it will go out of fashion in the next minute. Read and learn to develop and resolve whatever nagging questions you think you've. Ask questions where necessary and don't be shy to do so. Before long you will also begin to sound high like those you envied before now. The last, and the most important, be vigilant while you're online. Even on this forum, be vigilant. Anyone who sends you a private chat or link or talks to you about business in private is obviously a scammer. Be warned.
Well said. It’s good that you finally realize on how to get out from your comfort zone and overcome your fears as being fearful will never make you successful at all. And knowing this forum is a blessing for you. Explore the forum as much as you can, and do your own diligence to research if that’s necessary to widen your understanding on the topics that you hardly understand. And never hesitate to raise questions that you think you need more answers and clarifications from other significant members. That way, you will keep on learning and soon others may also learn from you. And yes, be vigilant at all times. Even professionals in this forum are sometimes being taken advantage if they tend to be less cautious at some point.
1022  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any point to start trading with 20$? on: May 28, 2023, 08:20:10 PM
Hello everyone,

I’ve lately been trying alot of different ways to start making money but something in me tells me trading could be really fun and exciting to get into. Unfortunately I can’t afford to invest much right now so I’ve managed to invest around 20$ to get started. I’d really appreciate if you all could let me know if what i am doing is worth it or am I just wasting time?

Kind regards,
Human
That is what you actually need for your initial investment. You don’t have to actually put a huge amount to make you profitable. After all, investing large amount cannot guarantee profits as well. It all depends on how knowledgeable and skilled you are when choosing what and where to invest. However, if you are already making profits from your initial investment, then you can start trading as well with a bigger size. Trading can make you more profitable if you are actually doing the right thing.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating unemployed friends about Bitcoin on: May 28, 2023, 07:29:54 PM
Do not tell your friends that bitcoin can be a reliable source of income. Instead, encourage them to still look for stable jobs and make bitcoin as their side hustle. That way, even if they don’t make sustainable profits from bitcoin, no worries because they have their own jobs to earn their living. And never try to convince them to trade or invest. Let them explore the potentials of bitcoin, only by then they can decide on their own if trading or investing is worthy of their money and efforts.
1024  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How i can manage my job and my Bitcoin Trading at the same time? on: May 27, 2023, 09:55:10 PM
Hi, I hope you are all doing well. I am a teacher and teach students about IT. But from my job, I cannot fulfil my expenses that why start learning about Bitcoin the last 3 months my friend told me about the Bitcointalk forum in start working on bounties but not earned any money yet Now he said to make post other section will help me to trade and earning. I read the rules before posting. Can someone guide me on how I manage my time and earn money from trading what is an effective way to start?
Be flexible and learn to DYOR as it’s the best key to be successful in the forum and in trading industry. And never start to do live trading unless you have gained essential skills and experiences that will make you a productive trader. Trading is risky and is very uncertain, but if you have the skills in analyzing the market well and knows when to trade or not, you will never be an epic failure in trading.
1025  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your favorite season to trade cryptocurrency? on: May 27, 2023, 09:22:26 PM
I don’t see any favorite season to trade, I only know that the best time to buy is the bearish season and the best time to sell is when it’s bullish season. But with trading, every market season or condition is not a barrier to trade. As long as you’re good enough and knows the best entry and exit in the market, I think trading will still end up successful.
1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: May 27, 2023, 11:14:37 AM
It was also reported that's there a rematch clause included in the contract:

Crawford And Spence Have Rematch Clauses In Contract For July 29th

This rematch between Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford is necessary, given that both fighters are champions. One fight alone is not enough for them, and personally, I believe this bout will not go the distance, resulting in an entertaining fight that could end in a knockout. Both fighters exude confidence in their ability to emerge victorious, which heightens the excitement for fans. Once the betting odds are released, it would be wise to place bets early. However, I have a hunch that, similar to previously reported betting odds, Crawford may be favored to win despite Spence holding more belts.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: May 27, 2023, 10:42:02 AM

As a gambler and a die-hard fan of a club that has been having a terrible season, would you bet against your club, knowing that their loss would be your financial gain? Or would you stay loyal and not bet against them?
When it comes to betting, it's important not to let emotions guide your decisions. Even if I'm a die-hard fan, I wouldn't hesitate to bet against my favorite team if it's the more profitable choice. Emotion-driven decisions are one of the main reasons why gamblers often fail to succeed in sports betting. It's crucial to prioritize a strategic and rational approach, where the mind takes precedence over the heart. Having big plans and goals is great, but it's essential to align them with a sound betting strategy.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 27, 2023, 07:03:57 AM
Lot of people coming in on the Heat and I can see why but the high spread is a dead giveaway trap game from Vegas.  Its like they are enticing heat bets.  There's something more to this game but if I had to guess this is gonna be one of them Celtics blowout games.  I'm gonna tease the line all the way to 12.5 for the Celtics.

Good luck everyone Smiley)

Nailed it!  I was going to tease it higher but picked the right number.  This game should have been much more but cletics took out all theor players and Miami made it close.  Houser dropped a 30 foot 3 pointer to save my bet.  I would have been pissed if I lost I because Celtics took everyone out.

Either way I'm riding the Celtics.  This time just running with the money line for game 6.

That was a risky bet, but you know, sometimes when the other side looks too easy, that's when the bet can pay off. It was a great decision to bet on the Celtics. However, in Game 6, it's difficult to predict where the public bets will go. I will follow my instinct and believe that this time it will be the Heat who will come out victorious. Sorry, mate, I lean towards the opposite side. Grin
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wife discovers husband's hidden Bitcoin during divorce proceeding on: May 26, 2023, 09:39:11 PM
Me and my wife has no problem about me holding bitcoin and this saves us from any money issues because she knew that everything in my holding is for Her and our children .

That is the logical decision, especially if bitcoin has a clear legal origin. For people who can't prove the origin because for example they mined it in the past and don't have the logs, or bought it P2P paying in hand, or saved it from signature campaigns without declaring them, the issue is a bit more complicated.

In those cases there are people who choose to hide it from his wife because it is something that can be turned against him in a potential divorce case.
That could be the case of the husband here, he acquired his bitcoins maybe when he was still not married so he chose to hide it especially if he sees his wife cannot be trusted with his asset, so it’s better to hide it than to expose it in your wife and could be subject for fighting. But maybe the husband here is not wise enough to hide his bitcoins since his wife has suspected it still. He could have send it to his family or close relatives when the divorce is still ongoing.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 26, 2023, 11:43:03 AM

I really don't want to say that it is already a close game for the Miami Heat now that the Boston Celtics have gotten their momentum but only 1 win for the Heat and they are advancing if in the next game and the Boston Celtics are exhausted then it will surely be a win for the Miami Heat, but I really want the Boston Celtics to advance than with the Miami Heat but I have lost a bet for the Miami Heat and looking at the game of the Celtics it is a viable thing if the Celtics can get a technical match against the Denver Nuggets than with the Miami heat in my opinion,

If the Boston Celtics advance, we will have an evenly matched betting situation, as both Denver and the Celtics are top teams. Currently, as I checked the betting lines, Miami is listed as +3 in Game 6, while the Celtics are now at 2.10 odds to win the series. So, for those who believe that the Celtics will come back and make history, it's a good opportunity with favorable odds. It would be wise to take advantage of it now, as the odds are likely to drop if a Game 7 is played.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 26, 2023, 11:18:59 AM
Yeah, I remember MVP that likes these sponsorships if it's with the Philippine Basketball especially if it his company's team that will represent the country on EASL.

Here we go again with the EASL thing. I hope they won't forget their performance the last time they played. I'm sure the sponsors are not happy about spending a lot of money to bring them to the venue country and witnessing them being dominated by the opposing teams. It cannot happen again, because if we still can't compete, it will expose how obsolete our brand of basketball is.
All Fans hoping that our team can compete another country with a good standing and scoring but For me they will face a struggle as we all know that their opponents are too strong and have the high advantages. While our representative is small but terrible they can dominate their opponent for sure even in a small gap cause I know that they can not make a huge gap once they will face a very strong team.
They'll be fine in the FIBA world cup because even if we lose, it will still be beneficial to us as we gain a 'learning experience,' a famous line from Gilas Coach, as we all know. Gilas is enjoyable to watch now, especially with Brownlee as the naturalized player. He plays with great intensity, and I can see that he has the Filipino spirit within him, never willing to give up.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 25, 2023, 12:24:42 PM
There's a high probability that he will play as long as he is in good health. SMB needs his minutes on the court because he can provide valuable energy to the team. If they choose not to utilize him, it may be more beneficial to consider trading him.

There is no doubt that SMB will utilize him. While Romeo may not be in his prime, his experience and skills still make him deserving of earning minutes for the team. Too much experimentation by the coach has had its consequences, as we have witnessed. I believe it would be beneficial for SMB to revert to their old style, where Fajardo is the main focal point, and allocate more minutes to the veterans who have proven to be clutch during big games, including Romeo, of course.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 25, 2023, 12:03:44 PM
I think there are other teams that win in a 0-3 deficit well right now the Miami Heat's defense was exposed by the Celtics, and the Boston Celtics have made tremendous adjustments to their attack and they are not letting some of the Heat's 3 points to come in aswell, it is now really crucial that they have done this and right now what do the Miami Heat answer will be in the next game, now that their defense was exposed by the Celtics,
They may have exposed it in Game 4 but we are not sure if they can be consistent enough to preserve that kind of defense. I am not sure the Boston Celtics can win in the same manner as that because Miami Heat will also adjust and I doubt Coach Spoelstra will just let it happen again. From watching the tape they will already see the mistakes they have done and I am sure he will prepare something to avoid the same result.

Game 3 it was Gabe Vincent who dominated the offense. Butler was just 16/8/6 which means he can also be a facilitator while his teammates are stepping up their game. The difference though is Duncan Robinson who played 20+ minutes in Games 2 and 3 and scored double digits but in their last game, he only scored two. Player rotation will be a key factor for Coach Spo to achieve a win again and end this series in Boston.

If there's a team that has been exposed, it's the Celtics due to their three consecutive losses. Despite winning one game, it doesn't make them the superior team. In fact, I believe there is a significant chance that the Miami Heat will be able to end the series tomorrow. It will be particularly painful for the Celtics as they would face embarrassment in front of their fans, considering these three losses have occurred on their home court.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 24, 2023, 08:05:29 AM
I wouldn't fall for the bait of the bookies since this is the best game for Miami to shut the door on the Celtics and advance to the finals.

I think the Miami Heat are the bait here because people might expect a similar series to that of the Lakers and Nuggets. The Heat's big win in Game 3 adds to the belief that they should easily win the closeout game. Additionally, the line movement suggests that bettors are putting their money on the Heat, indicating that the Heat was the popular choice among the public. However, it's worth noting that the public often experiences losses in such situations.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 24, 2023, 04:43:04 AM

Sounds like one big scheme to me. Anyway the fight is done the decision had been cast, lets wait what will happen after the camp of Lomachenco file the protest.

The question is, how long will it take for the protest to receive an answer? It's okay to file a protest, but they also need to learn how to move on. The fight is over, and Haney has been declared the winner. So, what's next for Lomachenko? I guess he still has that killer instinct in the ring. Surely, with his performance, there are champions out there who are willing to give him a chance. Besides, Loma could help attract good pay-per-view sales.
1036  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What was your biggest fear with starting in crypto? on: May 22, 2023, 07:31:38 PM
Genuinely want to know what prevents your friends/gf/ colleagues from investing? Did you have any barriers when you first started?
It’s the high volatility of the market that makes investing more risky to take. And the fact that investing does not guarantee profitability because of its price fluctuations, I guess they started to fear to invest than to be more motivated. However, for me its the fear of losing my money that I really think a thousand times if crypto investing will be profitable for me or I just end up losing all my hard-earned money. Until I decide to take the risk by myself and only by then, I realized that crypto investing is never easy but it’s a lot profitable if you have the knowledge and high patience to make it work.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Awareness as the major force for Bitcoin adoption on: May 22, 2023, 02:58:19 PM
Bitcoin looks very unreal to non bitcoiners because of lack of publicity and awareness, just imagine educating your siblings, your children, parents and people you come across everyday about Bitcoin their would have been more interested investors than we have now, this would have enable Bitcoin to rise because of the market competition and HODL will benefit more in this kind of situation.

The only motivating factor for people to invest is profit.  As long as they know they can get profit from the investment, they won't hesitate to put their money in that venture.  It is expected that if we keep on telling people about the opportunity and the possible profit they get from investing in Bitcoin, there will be surely new investors created every day.  If they don't see a profit on the topic we are sharing, they will never get interested to invest in Bitcoin.  Like when we shared Bitcoin and discuss the technicalities of it, I doubt there will be interest to invest.

So it all goes down to how well we are in informing people about the benefits and profits if they participate in Bitcoin.
This has a good point. People invest not only because they are highly knowledgeable about it, but because bitcoin investment yields huge profits particularly for those who knows well when to enter and exit in the market. So awareness is not enough, but it’s an essential key so that people will gain interest and be convinced to invest in bitcoin. And as long as profits are always attached to bitcoin, people will develop more eagerness to educate themselves so they can come up profitable through investing in bitcoin.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 22, 2023, 12:09:54 PM
In the Lakers vs Nuggets Game 4, the Lakers are still the favorites to win, but the spread is now only -3, down from the previous -5.5 in Game 3.

The Nuggets have the opportunity to end the series tomorrow, but let's see if the Lakers can change the momentum and secure a win on their home court. Even if the Lakers win Game 4, they will face a tougher battle on the Nuggets' home court. If the Nuggets end the series in 5 games, they will be able to celebrate at home. So, what are your speculations for this game?
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 22, 2023, 05:27:10 AM
You could see the Celtics give up in that game vs the Heat. I think they lose the next one and call it a year. For some reason I haven’t counted the Lakers out yet, but after what I saw tonight the Celtics are as good as done for the year. Quite possible the Lakers only have one game left this year though so don’t miss it tomorrow.

They give up easily. I guess there's a problem within the team, and it's possible that their coach is not happy and is simply blaming the players. The Celtics were considered favorites after the Bucks were eliminated, but it seems like they won't be making a comeback to the NBA Finals this year. Both the Warriors and the Celtics are out, so let's hope that the teams playing in the NBA Finals will provide more entertaining games.

I'm speculating that it could be the Heat versus the Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Finals and the Nuggets will be a heavy favorite.
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 22, 2023, 05:03:21 AM
So how about you, do you really expect that the current line up of Gilas will bag a gold in the FIBA world cup?
We have good players, and they just need a good system and a good support from us.
I'm confident our Gilas will perform well in the up coming FIBA World cup, let's not just expect too much from them.
The government should start focusing more on improving our sports system and have a solid one, because corruption and politics are still the problem with our sports system.
They have to do their best because the teams that we are into is a top contender and I agree, we should not expect from them because those players are just practicing for a short period of time and its hard to build a good chemistry if there’s a limited preparation. Let’s just support them regardless of the result and just enjoy the whole FIBA games. Tickets are quiet expensive though, for sure many will watch the game of USA.

We always do the support because it's our own, but being realistic all the time is important.

By the way, the outcome of the game yesterday.

Anyone here was able to place a bet on that specific game? Because if someone was able to bet, then we should expect that tomorrow evening the betting odds will be available for Northport vs Meralco and Phoenix vs San Miguel.
