1041  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Other Alternatives to Borrowing Money to Start Trading on: May 21, 2023, 09:42:43 PM
Instead of someone borrowing money to trade, it's better to start with the capital he has and the money is not used for anything. It will be safer for him, especially if he is still a beginner who wants to try trading. Surely that would make it difficult for him to make a profit.

No one will know when you will be able to profit. Even when the market is good, you can find it difficult to make profits because of greed to take more profits. So it is highly not recommended to borrow money to start trading but if he is really confident in his ability to earn profit, he can try it for a week.

I suggest not taking risks that you may not be able to afford. But if you are able and confident, just try it.
There’s no reason to borrow if you have a sufficient amount of money in your account that you can manage to lose in trading. However, for some beginners who wish to trade but no capital to start on, then borrowing money is their option. I would say it’s not bad after all as long as you have your job to back up you, to pay for the loan once your trading sucks. But always start with small capital as beginners have more losses to gain than profits to make. On one hand, compounding might be a good idea too for only for those who have high patience to wait for that long even if the expected profits are just too small. It’s just a matter or being patient actually.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment, fulltime endeavor or side hustle? on: May 21, 2023, 08:58:57 PM
...

after this encounter, I decided to bring this question too to the Bitcoin community itself so I would hear from other traders like myself. What is your opinion about this would you quit your job and go into Bitcoin investment, considering it as a full-time hustle?

I want to ask you one thing. In your opinion, having one source of income or two sources of income, which is better? This life always contains surprises, so we always need B plans for it, and having 2 or more sources of income is one of those plans. With a world rife with inflation, and currencies depreciating daily, many people struggle to earn extra income from various jobs. Having 2 income sources is the dream of many people, including me.

As others have also said, bitcoin or crypto is too volatile and very risky. So quitting your job to spend all your time investing in bitcoin is really a bad idea. I completely agree with what those guys have said.
It’s obvious that two heads are better than one. So if you can be profitable on both, then never compromise your job so you can focus on trading or investing. Bear in mind that the market is unpredictable, so you have to invest or trade with high caution as much as possible, and this will bring too much pressures on you. In order to lessen the risk and pressures you felt, it’s a wise decision to keep your job that gives you consistent profits, and just do investing or trading whenever you have free time after working on your job.
1043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats required of me as a newbie in other to grow in this prestigious forum? on: May 21, 2023, 08:37:50 PM
Keep on researching and more reading, most of them should be interesting topics and the current trend in the crypto market. Since you've said contribute, you've got little or big knowledge and if you've seen that knowledge hasn't been shared by someone then do the intiative to share it to the community and that's a contribution. If you're more into Politics and Society discussion then focus in there if that's what you think you'll excel and not just that, make sure that you're enjoying discussing those topics there. It's important for you to enjoy and show that you're natural and truly have passion over all those topics.
Invest yourself in those crypto related topics so that once you gain high knowledge on it, it will be easier for you to share what you have learned. And of course, be ready to defend your answers as it’s the best way so you can be trusted by other members and learn from you. And not just only focus on broadening your knowledge but also learn to accumulate a lot of experiences as well. When you have both knowledge and experience, it will be easier for you to get the sympathy of other people and just easily believe on what comes out from your mind.
1044  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 21, 2023, 07:59:00 PM
Earning money online is far superior to working at a physical establishment during the day. Although offline is highly appreciated and difficult. Trading is a great approach to find your true self. It will put everything to the test, including your greed, emotions, patience, discipline, how you handle failure, control, common sense, and resolve. I strongly advise anyone who is going through a terrible time in their life to learn to trade since it provides them a clear sense of purpose other than waiting for jobs. So, which is better, online or offline?
I’d say everyone has the right to trade but never expect that all of them will end up successful in trading. To answer your question, it all depends on everyone’s personal experience when it comes to trading. However, if you gained superior knowledge and skills used in trading, then most likely your trading results will always be successful and profitable, which means earning online gives you higher chances to earn and make you financially stable and independent.
1045  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: May 21, 2023, 07:25:51 PM
It depends on what you spend your money on and how you spend it, if you spend money on useless and valueless things you would end on poorer, if you invest in yourself or invest in things that real investments, the money will come to you multiple fold, but what guys do spend money are ladies, friends, cars, alcohols etc
You will never get any returns if you spend on materials that brings luxury for you, but if you invest and give more on potential investments particularly with bitcoin, that creates high chances to make you even more profitable when the market favors you. So never spend on things that only brings temporary satisfaction but focus more on long term investments that may give you multiple fold of profits once your investments paid off.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoiner's Expression of Love and Gratitude to Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 20, 2023, 09:44:56 PM
If you are the creator of the drawing, you misspelled the satoshi wrong. It's not shatoshi but it's okay. The image equalizes the wrong doing of a typo.
And yes, satoshi did something unimaginable and I don't think anyone can pull off such a great invention in the near future.
Well, that's just a little mistake in spelling, that won't be a big deal. The important thing is Satoshi reserves to be acknowledged and should receive our gratitude as bitcoiners. Without his brilliant mind, we will never reach this far experiencing all the potentials and benefits from Bitcoin.
1047  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it about morality or productivity in choosing to work from Home on: May 20, 2023, 08:01:02 PM
Elon Musk considers working from home to be morally wrong. His reasons are that while you are working from home, the people who make your vehicles can't, as they have to be at the factory. In addition, while you are working from home, the delivery person cannot work from home as they have to deliver your package.

Mr. Musk is entitled to his own opinion. What I think is that it is a matter of productivity and not morality. For example, the software engineer who works from home may be working on the latest innovative software for food delivery or vehicle assembly. Besides, where it is necessary, companies should allow their staff to decide what they want.

Do you agree with Elon Musk or do you disagree with him?

I used to disagree with Elon Musk, lol. Seriously, I don’t see immorality here, but it’s more on productivity like what you’ve said OP. Especially at the time of covid, people have no choice but to work from home, and that’s the time where they get to balance their work as an employee and their work as a child or as a family man. But it also depends on what kind of job you are into. But if what you need is only stable internet connection and a computer unit or laptop, then working from home would still create high productivity provided that you also work at your own pace.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 20, 2023, 01:11:38 PM
So how about you, do you really expect that the current line up of Gilas will bag a gold in the FIBA world cup?
We have good players, and they just need a good system and a good support from us.
I'm confident our Gilas will perform well in the up coming FIBA World cup, let's not just expect too much from them.
The government should start focusing more on improving our sports system and have a solid one, because corruption and politics are still the problem with our sports system.
We can be competitive, but let's not expect to win the gold. It's important to be realistic about our chances against top teams in the competition, such as Spain, USA, Australia, Argentina, and France.

Considering the performance of our representative teams in the EASL, like TNT and SMB, who struggle to be competitive, it becomes even more challenging to excel on a bigger stage.

Currently, our national team is ranked at number 40.

1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 20, 2023, 12:33:22 PM
For us, simply qualifying for the World Cup is already a significant achievement. The most thrilling moments for me as a fan are watching Gilas compete in the FIBA Asia Championship, where we have had success in the past.

If we are contented with that kind of achievement then why the hell the Philippines is giving too much attention to a sport where we are not really a contender globally? I want to slap that reality in PH basketball but look at them, spending lots of money, spending lots of time, and focusing too much on that sport instead of other sports where we can match globally, then in the end, just being a World Qualifier is already an achievement? Hehe. Cheesy They should stop those bullsh*t efforts and work if the goal is to only be qualified in the World Cup.

Just to be clear, no offense, no hate, no crab mentality. I love basketball and I'm playing that sport.

I understand that the team is putting forth their best effort not only to qualify for the FIBA World Cup but also to win it. However, let's face it, our brand of basketball may not be as strong as that of other countries. I'm confident that the SBP (Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas) is aware of our realistic chances in international competitions. Nonetheless, they continue to work towards developing the basketball brand we have in the Philippines, with the hope that one day we can become champions.

As a fan, I simply want to express my expectations for the team. I don't expect them to win a gold medal, but I would be ecstatic if they can make it to the World Cup and compete strongly against higher-ranking teams without being easily dominated. This is just my perspective as a fan.

So how about you, do you really expect that the current line up of Gilas will bag a gold in the FIBA world cup?
1050  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can copy trading be profitable on: May 19, 2023, 09:40:35 PM
Is copy trading worth it

Can I make 20$ per day if I have 2000$
Yes, it can be profitable as long as you copy trade from a successful trader. But never expect that you can be making consistent profits out from copy trading. Though it’s really possible that you can make $20 but not in a daily basis seeing you can’t be profitable everyday because of the high changing market condition. There are times that even if you trade with high expertise and skills, once the market is not suitable to trade, then your trades will always end up as a loss since the market does not favor your trades.
1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 19, 2023, 04:22:13 AM
Over 227.5 was not covered as the game have become a defensive battle. -6.5 was not covered too. Not again. The same issue as Game 1, there's a foul at the end of the game Russell holding Bruce Brown, and the referees will not call it anymore and let the time run out. That's twice that it could've been covered.  Cry
Anyway, a great comeback from the Nuggets after being down by 2 digits in the first half. 3rd quarter is where they tried to get close and 4th quarter is where they put a gap against the Lakers. Jamal Murray suddenly got hot in the 4th quarter after a bad start in the first half.
A very intense game and this is the playoffs that we love. Congratulations to all the winners.

I believe the rest of the games will go under, especially in Game 3 and 4, where the Lakers will be playing on their home court. They are very physical and have been controlling the pace of the game. It's fortunate that the Nuggets had a strong 4th quarter, thanks to Jamal Murray, but as we can see, the outcome was below expectations.
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 19, 2023, 02:04:16 AM
At the end of the first half the Lakers have themselves a small lead. Other than LeBron’s dunk attempt going wrong on a fast break they’ve looked pretty good. You can see they’re hustling and putting a lot of energy into this one. The Nuggets are being outhustled out there and it shows. It remains to be seen if the Lakers will be able to keep up this effort in the second half.
Murray has encountered significant struggles and it's crucial for him to rectify that in the second half. Without his contributions, the Nuggets might face the risk of losing. Furthermore, the Nuggets' three-point shooting has notably declined. They went from shooting 50% in the first game to a mere 25% now. They need to make several adjustments in the second half, considering that only Jokic performed well in the first half.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 18, 2023, 12:22:24 AM
About the Miami Heat, the same scenario on the Lakers that only a few think they will also reach the Conference Finals coming from the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference. Upsetting the Milwaukee Bucks is already impressive and for sure they have the chance to do it against the healthy Boston Celtics.

Definitely, nothing is impossible for this team, especially considering their victory over the top favorite to win the championship during the regular season. As long as the Heat remain healthy, they have a fighting chance against the Celtics and could potentially upset the heavy favorite, as indicated by the betting lines.

It's hard to find someone who can stop Jimmy, but it's important to note that his impact goes beyond scoring. He is also a skilled defender and a willing passer, making his teammates better. The team's high confidence is evident, and I share the belief that they will emerge victorious.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 18, 2023, 12:03:29 AM

Good thing that Gilas got its revenge on Cambodia. Seems funny to watch that game honestly since it's like watching Gilas vs another country because of several naturalized players in Cambodia. Gilas actually killed Cambodia with those rainbow shots and we have nice stats on that area.

Unfortunately, even that's a win for Gilas, there's an obvious problem that I see on that game - the defense. There are lots of times that Gilas is having a difficulty on both offensive and defensive rebounds because of those Cambodian's naturalized big man. What's more we can expect in a much heavy competition this year like Asian Games and FIBA World Cup.
To be honest, I don't expect us to be competitive in the FIBA World Cup, considering our low ranking. For us, simply qualifying for the World Cup is already a significant achievement. The most thrilling moments for me as a fan are watching Gilas compete in the FIBA Asia Championship, where we have had success in the past.

The last time I recall seeing the team perform well in the FIBA World Cup was when TR47 was part of the roster.

As I said before, if Gilas won't be a champion this SEA Games, they don't have a chance at much bigger competition. Goodluck to our Gilas this year.

I'm glad they won the gold because it brings happiness to the people and validates the Gilas lineup. It appears that Brownlee has proven himself to be a great player, affirming that the decision to make him a naturalized player was the right one.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 17, 2023, 03:38:48 AM

Fortunately, Jokic missed one of the FT, so it didn't covered the initial handicap for bettors at -6.5 as the score is 132-126.

That was the reason why the Nuggets' spread bet didn't win. I would jokingly guess that maybe Jokic bet against his team, LOL.

Nevertheless, if you are simply a pure fan, you would have certainly enjoyed the game. It was a dominant performance by the Nuggets in the first half, but the Lakers are a team that knows how to come back. Overall, it was an entertaining game.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 17, 2023, 02:50:28 AM
The Lakers are making a run in the fourth quarter, reducing the lead from as high as 20 points to just 9 points. I believe the Nuggets need to bring Jokic back onto the floor, as their offense becomes quite predictable without him. With plenty of time remaining in the fourth quarter, it's difficult to determine which team will come out on top. As they say, it's not over until it's over.
The Nuggets are responding, and you were right, Jokic is back on the floor, and their offense is now clicking. The main weapon for the Nuggets is their 3-point shooting, as they are currently shooting 50%. While the Lakers also have a high percentage in the 3-point line, the Nuggets have attempted more shots, making 13 out of 26, compared to the Lakers' 7 out of 17.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 15, 2023, 07:23:11 PM
Never panic and just try to control your emotions as much as you can. Otherwise, you will end up into gambling addiction that makes you hard to control yourself anymore especially if you want to chase bigger profits or you want to recover all your previous losses, which I think is quite impossible already considering gambling is more of a loss than a gain. And always be reminded that gambling should never be taken seriously since its purpose is just to give pleasure and entertainment to us, and is never capable of making us profitable all the time. So discipline yourself before it gets too far in betting and gaming.
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bitcoin investors! on: May 15, 2023, 06:52:23 PM
That's how to know a good investors of bitcoin who do not see challenges but the possibilities of making their future work.
Bitcoin is a good assets to invest on but it's also has it own risk which you must learn.
As long as you remember that investing in Bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick scheme, you'll be fine.
Because it requires patience, discipline, and most of all knowledgeable enough of how Bitcoin will work for those who understand the risk.

And the last one is, to invest only what you can afford to lose.
Because this kind of investment is highly volatile and risky, so don't invest more than you can afford to lose.

You can apply the DCA way of purchasing on Bitcoin too and I think that's a part of being a good investor.
You’re right in this. Investing is a long way process so a good investor never takes greed on this but patiently wait for its outcome through years of hodling. And with patience, comes with perseverance, discipline and  a very optimistic personality. Since investment has also it’s inevitable losses, I think a good investor never gets threatened and affected with losses because somehow it’s part of an investment, what matters is that you know how to stand up in every trials that your investment may face.
1059  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding the Basics of Trading in the Cryptocurrency Market on: May 15, 2023, 12:41:23 PM
I agree with all of what you've said.

But it'll be all ruined in just one mistake, and that is when your emotions didn't agree on what you want to do. For me, emotional management is the first thing a trader should master first before proceeding in the world of trading, because it's hard to make a decision when your emotions are taking over always, that would surely mess up every single trade you're going to make.
If you think you do things beyond your control, then it’s a sign that you will never be good enough in trading. Always know that emotions can be the best enemy in trading, so if you trade with uncontrolled emotions, expect that you will never be successful on your trades. However, trading can be learned as well as emotional management. If you can do that, that will pave way to good decision making as trading requires right decisions especially when there is sudden change of its market condition.
1060  Economy / Economics / Re: Concers About Going in Business with a Friend on: May 15, 2023, 11:50:15 AM
Many years ago, I heard the story of a man whose business partner did dirty. They were business partners for almost 5 years and the suddenly the business partner left with company's money. Even after several years, this man didn't recovered. He ended up sounding it as a warning to his kids never to go into business with anyone. The trust was destroyed and never recovered. This is just one of those sad stories.

On the other hand, there are many success stories of friends who went into business together and succeeded to together. If you have ever gone into business with a friend, what were your biggest concerns and how did work through it.

As you have said their many people that do join business with their friends and both due succeed  without betraying each other and are also many to that did and betrayed. we should know that all human beings cannot have perfect mind and with that they can't be all truthful.but all it requires is trust, once you are able to study your friend well and found he/she with truthful character and you believe it will be very hard for someone to convince he/she away from the truth line, why will I be afraid of doing business with such person?as for me i believe much about many friends I have because their character toward make me, make me believe much in them that they can't betrayed me on any way but they may surely be some among them that may have bad mind ooo but I never witness that habit from them any of them because I don't make much friends and even before we agree on any business there are will be agreements between both of us.some people say trust nobody, but we need to trust some one in order to make some our ways easier.
I have to agree with this. We don’t need to take our ventures alone if we have some trustworthy friends that we can rely all the time. If I were to build a business with my friends, I think that would be easier for the business to prosper since we are both working for our business to grow and yield high returns. However, we should  always chose those real friends from fake friends. But if you have been dealing on that person for a long time and you know each other’s personality and family background as well, then there’s no reason that you can’t give your complete trust to him and make him as your business partner.
