Sorry guys. This has stunk of fraud from the beginning.

Eric

Can you confirm that the M5 was recently sold and would the booked value of the sale be published?

Thx

1225  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Find Trendon Shavers in person thread... [BTCST, BTS&T, pirateat40] on: February 15, 2013, 01:32:25 PM
Regardless of whether or not the PPT's were complicit in Trendon Shavor's scheme, there were essentially "feeder funds" for an illegal bitcoin securities fraud and would probably be implicated as such in any civil or criminal prosecution.  So clearly there it no incentive for them to participate.
1226  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: USD wire transfers from MtGox: please share your experience on: February 14, 2013, 09:36:39 PM
I buy gox code. US based. Immediate transfers.
1227  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - ownership changed (in a way) on: February 14, 2013, 09:35:12 PM
This would probably be a civil matter not a criminal matter so no one will be going to jail.
1228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't it about time for a major hack/disaster? on: February 14, 2013, 05:29:52 PM
I don't agree.

Gox is (HOPEFULLY) locked down like fort knox now.

The only thing that will stop this forward motion will be SERIOUS US govn't regulation or some time of police (bankster) state crackdown on exchanges an/or bitcoin businesses.  Fortunately the amount of time it take to get anything done in the US congress, any regulation  will be years in coming.

He're looking at 50 (an beyond!).

1229  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - ownership changed (in a way) on: February 14, 2013, 04:56:07 PM
sounds like this maver was a talented programmer but not a very smart businessman.

Judging from his photo he seems VERY young so he is probably shitting in his pants right now.

Many of your comments suggest that this was a good and valuable exchange.

Maybe a responsible party or party or parties should step up to take financial responsibility for the site and keep m4v3r on as an UNPAID sys admin to pay off some of his debit.

I have no idea how you could recover the lost sole with exchange fees.

If you got a legal route.

1. you would have to convince a govent that your bitconz had real world value.
2. Get a civil court to file a judgement against him to recover the loss from future earnings.  (again that could take years.)
1230  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Find Trendon Shavers in person thread... [BTCST, BTS&T, pirateat40] on: February 13, 2013, 08:48:21 PM
Evidently interested parties have made it there business to keep tabs on him.
1231  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer tag - PPT-PR on: February 13, 2013, 06:15:19 PM
It is my understanding that that PPT-PR is a collective of Pirate Pass Through's who are working together to monitor and possibly legally recover any funds from the Bitcoin Savings and Trust default.

This group may or may not include Patrick Harnett.

They are certainly entitled to be present on this board as Patrick Harnett or collectively as PPT-PR.

MPOE-PR, what's your excuse??

Go back in your hole.

1232  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] 62BTC for MP, LR, Payza ++ on: February 13, 2013, 04:02:52 PM
any successful buyers??

crickets...crickets....

(here kitty kitty kitty)

FYI for the noobs watching this thread, it is customary for the buyer and seller to vouch for each other publically after a successful grade.   Even a simple +1 will suffice.   Then you can review other successful trade each one has made to determine with some level confidence if they are legitimate or not.     Sellers who have NO responses from buyers are scammers and if the do have positive responses from other (often new) users with low post counts they are usually just a sock puppet of of the seller.

Not always the case but a VERY safe rule of thumb.

THIS GUY IS A SCAMMER.  Just my opinion.

FYI, this is an excellent example of a trusted traders successful trader's vouch trading and vouch thread.

Be careful out there.
1233  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Diary of a Bitcoinary Scammer on: February 13, 2013, 03:28:34 PM
man in the middle attack

attacker (tyler kurtz) contract with a mark to sell btc for paypal.

Attacker then contacts a btc seller

Attacker gives mark btc seller's paypal email (or asks the btc seller to send 'invoice' to mark)

Attacker give btc seller Attacker's bitcoin address.

If it works:

mark send paypal to btc seller
btc seller sends attacker bitcoin
mark can then charge back paypal
and coins remain with attacker

so if it works the btc seller is the victim

In this case I contacted the mark and actuall sold him real btc

then we fucked around a little with the attacker.

Got word today he's walking around McKinney like nothing happened. Tells people he works for "Bitcoin."

He did sell the white BMW.

If there was a lien that event would have been an asset recovery opportunity.

What does a used M5 to for these days?

Otherwise. Go away.
