1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stellar up 45% ! on: November 27, 2014, 10:59:57 PM
I had totally forgotten about my 5000 free stellar, now worth ~ 14$...woot woot!

I knew I had an alt that I got free from somewhere, I even remembered that it was vaguely similar to ripple...but I just couldnt remember what it was called, lol.

I think the alt market is benefiting from the lull in BTC cap. Dont think anyone is going to use the stuff tho.

oh well, thanks for the 14$ guys, that buys me a coffe and a danish and maybe a small tea for my girl! Maybe I'll just hodl and wait till I can buy 2 large coffees and 2 danishes... where do you sell these stellar things again???
1222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin short stories thread! (new: Finding Satoshi) on: November 27, 2014, 10:42:07 PM
that's great guys...very entertaining. I was stating to do a serialized mock pulp-noir about one of the shady operators over in the securities section, for satire and as a way to let out some of my frustration, but I really didn't feel it would be appropriate to fill the securities threads with my scribblings. It is really great for writers to have a forum for thier stuff, get it out there, read, and to get feedback... I wonder if we should request a sub in say, "Other" section like a "Creative" area for works of art and literarure? I'm guessing there are a lot of talented bitcoiners out there all they need is a platform, right? In fact, if a platform exists, many closet creatives might come out to shine! It would be like a real world art gallery...open one up, and before you know it every artist in town is dropping in and sharing thier ideas!

I'm going to put in a request, as soon as I figure out who I should address it to, for 2 things actually...
one is; a "Creative Arts" section for all us bitcoiners with talent to share
and two; a "Conspiracy Theory" section, because there seem to be a lot of users here who want to rant on and on about whatever black op/illuminati/chupacobra blah blah blah, and thats thier right, but I get really sick of it because I have zero belief in all of it and I would like to see it relegated to an obscure corner that I never have to look at.

Anyways, ask the mods for a special area, the worst they could do is refuse.
1223  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ███ Stay away from GAWminers.com ███ on: November 27, 2014, 10:27:47 PM
I keep looking over claims and sometimes proof, posative and negative, about the validity of GAW and can not seem to draw a definitive conclusion. However, I've been here long enough to see that where there is smoke there is usually fire, and not the sporadic, easily refuted, measly little puffs of smoke raised by every other troll in here who are guaranteed to attack every single offering and new coin no matter what, NO! I mean prolonged huge plumes of thick black smoke coming from every sub and let out by known trusted bitcointalk users with blatant smoking guns lying all over the place... that is what GAW looks like.

Maybe I'm wrong and I will have to bear the unthinkable shame of having a few 12 yr old basement dwelling trolls to call me a poopy-head etc. but who cares? Type "GAW" into the search bar up in the top right of this page...you will not like what you see.

Be safe, not sorry. Sit back and watch GAW, but do not invest. That is what I am doing. The potential for profit is tiny, the potential for total loss is so big I cant see around it.
1224  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What if a large number of miners were suddenly forced to shut down? on: November 27, 2014, 10:14:39 PM
i'd simply dust off and plug back in my 60 Ghs miner and watch the btc roll in. right now it is not worth the electric it draws.
but of course there are scores of others who would do the same, the question is essentially moot.

I'm not sure why you post such folly, I dont believe you are looking to better understand anything or honestly care what would happen. More likely you are working on building your account rank and activity so you can rent your sig out or even sell the account to trolls. I can understand that you are reduced to actually starting your own pointless threads because there are so many shadow accounts like yourself, posting drivel, that it can be hard to find much to interact with...they are all making shit posts and the forum becomes a wasteland.

I wonder what would happen if a large number of bitcointalk troll/shill/puppet accounts were suddenly forced to shut down?
1225  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 26, 2014, 08:05:45 PM
Just going to re-confirm that my divs haven't been received on my address. I wonder if its because I only have a single share--is the div big enough to be accepted by the network?
Yes, this has been stated before. Divs on one single share are less than tx fee. Earlier someone said you can plug your receiving address into block chain io and see that you are accounted for. Did you try that?
1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PYC] Paycoin - Going to be hard forked soon! on: November 26, 2014, 07:00:23 AM
CEO seems dishonest. Has plenty of detractors, many complaints all over here and reddit. My guess is he wants to confuse potential suckers into buying his failcoin, take the money, then run and hide before the walls come tumbling down.
Beware this scam.
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion: Why Ripple/XRP Doubled In Value in Less Than A Week on: November 26, 2014, 06:38:59 AM
I got in on the free 35000 XRP giveaway they did a while ago and now it's worth ~350$ USD. I'm not complaining.
Now Paycoin... That is a scam. XRP might just surprise us all. Havent certain banks mentioned they like it?

Also, XRP is made to go "on the back" of btc, it isn't competition.
1228  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: November 26, 2014, 04:29:34 AM
I don't know why you guys are complaining, every day I look at my total divs, then add that to current value of shares and I have profit. I'm aware this won't last, but at this rate, even when the shares start to tank I will be ahead.
Whatever future predictions you want to make, be my guest. I'm just sitting here watching my btc increase with one finger hovering above the "sell" button, and until then...h8rz gon h8
1229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rise incoming November of 2014 on: November 25, 2014, 07:19:42 AM
Just as Bitcoin saw a huge rise in November of 2013 it will see the same in November of 2014 leading into 2015 which will be known as the year of Bitcoin.

To all you faggots that think otherwise.

1230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember when Nefario got sent back to UK because nobody knew what bitcoin was? on: November 25, 2014, 07:13:46 AM
I vaguely remember this, right around the time I was just discovering crypto. Cool story but not sure it belongs in securities. I would move it to general discussion Smiley
1231  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: November 25, 2014, 07:07:49 AM
I think everyone who saw through this gong show has been vindicated. Kenny has to go before the Missouri securities division on December 1st.
I don't expect anything to be resolved then, but hopefully it will inch things forward a little.
Kenny's broke, the money is gone. Maybe ken will be forced to sell his house? We shall find out soon enough. He's been deceptive the whole way through so it's pretty much a given that he will face some sort of punishment.

He's probably scheming right now, trying to place all the blame on ferguson or some such other nonsense.
1232  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 25, 2014, 05:33:28 AM
This is reassuring news to me. Especially that Rockxie and Jutarul both increased holdings and the board is still solid.
This year has been hard for me, I need something to hold onto for reassurance. *sigh*

Thanks @dhenson
1233  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-11-19] CD: KnCMiner Plans 16nm Bitcoin Mining ASIC Launch in 2015 on: November 25, 2014, 02:09:30 AM
Q: which mining firm delievers on time?

ASicMiner has never taken pre orders, so they are the only ones to deliver on time. Does not mean they are without delays/setbacks, they just don't take money for product they do not have "on hand"
1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you often use Ripple? How about Monetas? on: November 25, 2014, 01:55:46 AM
Never, at least not yet. What these two protocols offer, as far as my limited understanding will allow, is; they are good for banks to integrate cryptos into their system. As far as I can tell, in the future, we may be using them by proxy when we use banks. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Like I said, I don't really understand them too well.

A while back Jack Ma stated he had a large stake in crypto, but NOT Bitcoin. This came around the same time that several big banks announced they would work with ripple.

I own a bit of ripple, and I am watching...
1235  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 22, 2014, 12:45:20 AM
Thanks Jutarul, it feels like pulling teeth to get any info in here. I'm a supporter, but these protracted silences are not acceptable.

Any info as to why it is so difficult for AM to get a PR team (or person) set up? They can manage to do quite a bit behind the scenes, you would think a guy who posts updates regularly wouldnt be an issue.

Anyway, thank you again, a few words is really all it takes, sorry I had to bang your cage so hard!
1236  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: November 22, 2014, 12:40:50 AM
Looks like Kenny has been busy in the garden...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuQMv1IsKuE

I would really love to be at the hearing Dec 1st, but that is impossible for me. Is anyone from this forum planning to go? Some first hand reporting would be great.
1237  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How can the U.S. fix Detroit? on: November 22, 2014, 12:30:31 AM
doesnt look like the goverment is going to do anything. People are though. Kids with not much money but drive and ability are going into detroit and getting dirt cheap property which they fix up and then people with more money see it and want it. A cycle of gentrification we have seen time and again.

I was just wondering about neighborhoods that are totally without infrastructure in detroit. If I have no water or power or fire department supplied do I still have to pay taxes? My guess is yes, because govt.=pigs, but if these people have no amenities usually paid by taxes, why bother?

USA wants tyhier people to do all the dirty work, unpaid labour, interns etc. but they still want to gouge them for the tax. no wonder that country is crumbling.
1238  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 21, 2014, 08:28:37 PM
I want more than mining addresses. I think every AM holder is way past due waiting for proper financials. Some high minded and offial-sounding promises and a bit of proof of mining is not enough. Where are all the mined coins going? As far as anyone here knows every btc mined goes into building some side business owned by friends of FC. We have no proof otherwise.
Let's see the accounts! This is WAAAAAY overdue!

You know, and I am a believer in AM ffs. The longer a proper accounting is with held the angrier I get. When I get angry I move to light fires under asses to get fools moving. You can't blame me, the financial position of AM is a total mystery, has been for far too long, any news that does come is inconsequential, late, or disappointing. But good or bad investors want a complete picture which is not being offered and there is no excuse. It just Looks fucking bad! Smarten up ffs!!!
1239  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: November 20, 2014, 06:17:44 AM
It didn't work out, but I don't think it was a scam.

True I believe Ken to be largly incompetant, not a scammer

The truly successful scams end this way.

Successful scams are indistinguishable from failed businesses.  They're structured that way.
This has been pointed out more than once.

  ~Happy Investing!

Failed businesses become scams the moment they do not liquidate when they know they have failed. *As Flashman noted the abundant failures of this company with Bitcoin Price rising giving it the ability to fail as much as it did.

When you sit on your failed business drawing salaries for you and your loved ones for as long as you can, knowing that you will never become profitable to be able to pay back shareholders is when it becomes a scam.

If the above isn't the case (and it will likely come out in court) then we can label him as solely incompetent and not a scammer which might make everyone feel a tad warm inside but doesn't save Ken from blatant securities violations  Roll Eyes

Thank you. This is what my post meant to be getting at before the sentence above was taken out of context.
I believe Kenny had the intention to do what he promised but failed so bad and so often, right away, that he decided to try and hide the facts (deceptive practices) make more promises he couldn't make good on and start to even play with shares and gamble with our money. He lived well and paid his family as everything went to shit and he maintained it was all under control.
He didn't start out trying to scam he just turned into a scammer when his options all died.
That's my suspicion but hey, maybe he was scamming all along.
I hope December 1st brings some kinda news. Does the Missouri resident here plan to go to the hearing?

Knc have a hard time delivering on time. I will believe their claims when I see the miners hashing, you should too. There are still customes awaiting preorders from 3 months ago. Be careful what you believe.
