4GH/s is also not enough to submit enough shares to qualify for more than 10,000 satoshi of the block reward, so with only that hash you will never receive a payout here.

There was a known bug with 4.9.1 that it would not recognize the U3. You should be using the latest release, v4.9.2, it was fixed for the U3: http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/

Did you install the cp2102 usb to uart driver? Did you use zadig? You should also be using the cgminer-gekko version, not 4.9.2.

Just received my R1 with modified firmware, thank you. I look forward to using it as a controller for my U3 (which just reset from AU3 0 to AU3 1 as I am typing). I also only just tonight got the play on words, "a sick puppy". Clever, clever...

Each gets 0.00714286 BTC - please everybody who said "Yes" send me your BTC address.
1Cxn5fnZo5SV6iGUgCgk5r3rrF9HX6fZ3T, address in my profile, thank you! I haven't been active in bitcoin very long and I've almost seen the difficulty double already. There's more hardware coming online, too. I wonder if this is like a mad dash before the halving next year to get out as much gear as possible and just crank blocks. Will we see difficulty drops this time next year? Could be, will be interesting to look back.

I have upgraded my node to 0.11.2, I still get the random crashes sometimes when I receive incoming transactions, but seeing as I have had this error for a while now I think it is related to my hardware and not the application.

Probably the pod miner, or maybe some work on the full boards. The compac stick is pretty darn complete and solid, I'm not sure what could be improved if a v2 was ever even to be considered.

I tried unplugging and replugging the hub and I tried restarting the computer a few times. Still gives me that error, very weird, I'll have to dig deeper. I reinstalled the CP2101 usb to uart driver and now bfgminer will not see the sticks even without the hub (note, I did not zadig, but am getting the same result as if I did). I am able to use both sticks in the hub on cgminer-gekko now, bfg is still running my nanofury sticks. Guess I'll roll with it like this for now since it's working and I don't feel like messing any more with it (if it ain't broke...). The other interesting thing is the comms error I always used to get with the sticks in bfgminer is gone now, so that's good, no more dropping hash rates and having to restart the miners every day!

To spice it up a bit I'm offering a quick Yes/No quiz for the first 10 posters who respond in this thread - read below.
Yes. I think we're heading for close to +12% this time. Have you all seen that HaoBTC is opening a second mining facility? They plan to be 20PH by next year.

I had a new hard drive image flashed to my computer and after the update I get the following error when I launch bfgminer with 2 sticks in a usb hub: If I unplug the hub and plug it back in I get this: I have no idea why this is happening after the system update, everything else works flawlessly. Anyone have any ideas for me to try? Thanks.

Hi All, I've been reading through this long thread and haven't been able to find a clear answer. I have a U3 working fine on cgminer using Windows 10. I would like to have it work with two U3's at once. Here is my current batch file, could someone please tell me what I need to modify to get it to work with two U3's? cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:0.57 -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1DqnYDCu24ot7JKZwNEvNDMLRH8CTeSHaC.0 -p 123,123 --bmsc-voltage 0830 --bmsc-freq 0982 Would really appreciate any help provide. Thanks! You should download the latest cgminer 4.9.2 instead of using bitmain's old fork with the bmsc junk. https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminerIt was updated to "work better" with the U3, it is much improved over bitmain's old copy. See the readme.asic for new u3 commands instead of the bmsc. He will probably need a link to a site with a precompiled copy for windows..... as most windoes[nt] users won't/cant go through the steps to compile their own..... The precompiled windows version is there, he just has to click the download link, but I guess I can copy paste it here as well: http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/

not sure what happened to mikestang
Sorry, my meeting today went long and I'm over an hour late, but here's my end shot, just over 400k shares accepted and best share of 403k. Congrats to the winners, if was a fun go and I'm glad my stick lasted at 375, I'll push it more next time!

Whoops, thanks, Phil. Here's mine for the contest on a single Y cable with a couple usb fans to keep the air moving. The heat sink is definitely warm, but nothing I'm concerned about. I have it on the tester for the 24hr so I can keep an eye on its vitals. Best share of 403k so far for this run.

Ok, I am up and running for the contest. I've not run a stick this hard yet, so here's to hoping it's still alive tomorrow at this time! Good luck, everyone.

Just a quick bit of info on my mining.
Congrats on solving a block, Capn! I only hope to have the same luck with my S3+, good to see that they still can produce a share better than today's difficulty.

With crazy guy's custom firmware it is a amazing unit. I love the U3 resetting, I don't have to unplug multiple times a day which is good.
I finally ordered mine from CrazyGuy with his firmware, I'm looking forward to playing around with it and letting it handle my U3 (which has been surprisingly behaved lately and only need to be unplugged once every day or two). can someone post the link to crazyguy's firmware? install guide?
You have to order the R1 from him and he installs it for you. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=612390.0

Read through this thread and the method for calculating your payout has been explained many times, or search the forum for PPLNS.

What speeds would i have to run my S3+ at if i want to run two of them on one Corsair AX760 PSU ?
Doable ?
Not really, you'd be over 90% of the psu's rated capacity even with underclocked S3s. It might work for a little while, but the psu is going to run hot and not be as efficient and probably burn out quickly.

the default clock is 150mhz so you're pushing twice the amount of power as stock
No, the power consumption is only incrementally larger, it's running at twice the frequency as stock.

It's pretty consistent to be a coincidence, too. I wonder if the larger mines do this on purpose so that the next adjustment is slightly lower, thereby making their operations a bit more profitable for the next adjustment period. Or is that just a paranoid delusional idea?
