Basically Tuman is complaining that the Bitcoin Maximalists who are beginning to embrace Monero are hurting it by not shitting all over bitcion because it is not really "peer to peer cash" (BCASH argument) and Monero is actually the anointed crypto that will eventually replace Bitcoin (actually ALSO BCASH argument). The Maxis who are quietly beginning to embrace Monero call him a fool. It's probably bad for my health, but this whole line has begun to irritate the shit out of me. I disavow the Bitcoin bashing that is growing in popularity in the XMR camp. But since that is making me just an outdated broken record, I am trying to just quit having anything to do with the "community". I want to ask him why he's saying he's a bear, but got > 2000 and < 5000 bitcoins. I've got > 2000 and < 5000. Last year when I started I remember thinking "I hope one day to have 200". On then on the way down from $32 I kept scooping them up with my biggest haul coming in at $2.4x after the last $2.00 bounce. I keep saying to myself, "I've got enough", and I think I've got plenty, but it'd sure be nice to have 10,000...

I have become very pised at what the monero"community" has become and am staging my rage quit. But I want to post why here on my fav speculation thread. I believe Monero is experiencing amazing adoption with even certain Bitcoin Maxi camps. And the price is SERIOUSLY lagging behind. That means I think it is primed to go up. But this is what the community is looking like nowadays... At least the newcomers to Monero seem to get it. Ironic.  |

This is how it works: n00bs who have spent an entire day reading about what is a short/long position get aroused by the 99.99% possibility to get rich by opening a 100x leverage long position (yachts and lambos in their wet dreams I guess). And since their action is visible by everybody thanks to services like glassnode, it is easy for the bears to short the market liquidating $1 bil in 24 hours. It is like trying to win a poker game with your hand visible to everyone. Not gonna happen, pals. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Let's see if the optimism of the imbeciles will continue, leading to more liquidations. All this was helped by fake news and irrelevant fud throughout the year. Running Umbrel, which is LND based. I like it. Will continue to run it until I find a compelling reason not to, now that it's all set up, and "stable" - no major liquidity drains I can identify, aggressive pricing for major nodes. Will see how it plays out now that the board is properly set up, so-to-speak. Rick and I are heading out of town for a few days coming up, so kinda nervous about leaving the node alone, that long, but will see what happens. If I get drained again on a major channel, so be it - I'll figure it out on the next go-around type deal. In theory... Zero desire to set up CL, or another flavor for academic purposes. Too much of a management nightmare already with one node. Totally get that. I am not sure why I started a 2nd one again. Lol. I just shut the original one down to have just one! I would not worry about your trip... the node will be fine. Even in the worst case scenario you are back in time to fix it. But that's not gonna happen. |
