1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 29, 2022, 10:51:19 AM
Though some people are saying that gambling sites should ask for KYC at the time of registration. I would not support that as sometimes we make an account on the site to see how the site look like but never deposit there. Better to make KYC compulsory at the time of deposit.

I don't think there's a crypto-casino yet that asked KYC right away during the registration. If there's any, anyone can correct me on this. At most cases, users can freely register an account on that site to check the platform's interface or what else can be seen on that site.

More importantly, if the KYC is really mandatory, it should be supposed to be highlighted clearly on the Deposit/Withdrawal page.

But referring to most crypto-gambling sites today, KYC is not mandatory and that might just be asked for big withdrawals. For what amount can be considered as big withdrawals, that is something not disclosed on any site's TOS.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler who betrayed his friend's trust on: October 29, 2022, 10:42:27 AM
If this is a true story, I hope that Charles learned from this one and will not do the same thing again.

I just can't believe how Kelvin has the guts to do that to his best friend for a long. It's hard to live a comfortable life within the luxury standards where in the first place, the money used to achieve that came from cheating and almost can consider scamming since Charles' capital was also used here. I don't know how Kelvin can even move freely knowing his reputation is now ruined as for sure Charles might share the situation on social media or with many of their other friends.

Good thing that this story might not be true (I hoped so) because if that's true, Kelvin might not be happy with where he is right now even though he has lots of money. That cheating won't give him peace even when he is sleeping.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 28, 2022, 08:45:14 PM
The same thing with Inoue, if he will move up to the next division, he is also not a champion, so that's the best chance he will fight Casimero if he will make it happen. I'm sure promoter of Casimero would be happy to deal with that as they know the fight will gain attention to the fans and they will make a decent  amount of money, although it's not a championship fight.

I think we should stop for now the talk about Casimero vs Inoue's chances in the future. There are lots of things that Casimero needs to be done in the super bantamweight before being included in the discussion of competing in the title in that division. Once Inoue finally decides to move up, there might be a chance that he will face a champion already and won't start in that new environment by competing against mid-ranks.

Casimero's next opponent is not even in the Top 10 of the Super Bantamweight Rankings. To be able to take a shot against Inoue or other champions there, he should defeat some in the Top 10. Luis Nery for example, rank 10 in Super Bantamweight with a record of 32-1 24 KO, it seems Casimero will have a hard time against this boxer if ever they will face each other.
1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler who betrayed his friend's trust on: October 28, 2022, 08:27:44 PM

There are lots of ways to run on Kevin. Since they are friends, expect that they also know their respective families. How it turned up that Kevin was easily able to go away without a trace. Since part of the used money on betting was also owned by Charles, then that's a clear theft already. He just needs to clarify everything for his claim and put pressure on Kevin.

Anyway, I think that's just a made-up story. Although possible to happen in real life, I don't believe that it can easily happen in reality.

Please don't make it a habit of creating a thread like this.
1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 28, 2022, 08:16:36 PM
I think there would be no team in the league right now who will accept Westbrook if in case the Lakers will choose to trade him. I guess it's just too late.

There will always be a team that will sign Russell Westbrook but not the same as what the Lakers offered him.

It's a good catch if teams can get him at a fair price.

During the off-season, there are lots of trade packages offered from other teams that the Lakers received for Westbrook but none of those satisfy them because as reported, part of the Westbrook deal should also include some of the future first-round picks of the Lakers which seems a bad idea to risks with.

Therefore, instead of pushing trading Westbrook, they keep the current roster intact for this season and that's what we are seeing right now. As I said before, trading Westbrook depends on how the team will behave this season. I'm thinking that the decision of trading Westbrook will be finalized after seeing their progress in the mid-half of the season.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 28, 2022, 08:01:19 PM
is the vote real? that is landslide? voting 19 out of 20 for casimero ? is this how popular this boxer in our days now?

The landslide vote on the poll it's not just because of the popularity. It's clear that Casimero's credential is far better than Akaho. Casimero is also a former WBO Bantamweight Champion and if only he takes care of everything, he might be the one facing the Japanese Top Bantamweight Naoya Inoue in the unification bout and not Paul Butler.

Moving forward, the age factor might also play a big role for Akaho. He is now entering the considered veteran age for boxers and even though he's currently on the winning hot streak, there's no considered big name on those who defeated.

Casimero has no choice but to win here if he still wants to climb again at the rankings. However, if ever the situation is being favored to him on his way up, I doubt he can match against the current champions at the super bantamweight.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win big in casino, would it be publicized? on: October 28, 2022, 07:49:41 PM
Regardless if the winner has given permission or not, I think it’s already an initiative of the casino itself not to post the real identity of the winner to assure security of the winner’s funds and free from life’s threats and attacks. Although in some games  like lottery, winners are publicized but their names are not mentioned and their faces are intentionally blurred for the safety of the winners.

I'm now thinking about what's the reason that leads OP to ask the question if online casinos will publicly put the name of big winners name in public. I'm pretty sure that no online casino will ever do that. There might be a prompt for the big winner but not to the point that the real name will be used. If OP can share a related story, that's a good reference to read.

However, we can expect that in a physical casino, once there's a big winner, that person will really be exposed for an obvious reason that people there are playing together and if such a thing happened, everyone in the casino will put attention to the winner.
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull started? on: October 28, 2022, 07:31:26 PM
So I don't get surprised if any changes occurs so suddenly within just few days, it was at 18k then to $19k finally enters +$20k if not carefully analyzed one might thought is already bull.

Try to refer to the bitcoin price way back in July this year and sees the progress up to this date. It seems the bull price is showing some signs there when the price hits $24,000 last August from $18,000 in July. But from there til now, we can conclude that the price is swinging from $18,000-$21,000. No bullish trend, no bearish trend but just a usual market behavior.

Just take things easy and play it slowly but surely.
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino with an online and offline branch. on: October 28, 2022, 07:13:02 PM
    • SkyCity Casino

    • The Mirage

    • The Bellagio

A nice search results you got there and out of curiosity, I try to take a look at those.

    1. SkyCity Casino - Their digital operation (online gambling) is fairly new and just started 3 years ago. However, their online gambling site is not yet supporting many regions in the world.

    2. The Mirage - I can't find their online gambling version maybe because their operation is currently inactive. I learn on their Wiki page that the casino is now in new ownership and the name will be branded as Hard Rock Las Vegas which is expected to open in 2025.

    3. The Bellagio - I can't also find their online gambling version.
1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the value of SANTOS token increase? on: October 28, 2022, 06:50:49 PM

It's better to ask this directly on the coin's main discussion group if any, whether in Telegram, Discord, etc.

In that way, you can share views with your fellow speculators of this token and maybe you can encounter discussions between critics and believers and see how their argument is going. You should also see there how the team is responding to those.

That's my first pit-stop when choosing a coin, searching for general views of the community about that certain coin.
    1271  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any experiences with mrSloty.com ? on: October 28, 2022, 06:44:53 PM
I'm curious about what @OP has done after so much time has passed. Does he keep playing at that casino site or try playing at the other casino we suggest? Many of us also don't know or have never heard of the casino so it's better not to take the risk because it's not worth it. Hopefully, @OP doesn't act rashly just out of curiosity about the site and deposit some money to gamble and end up getting scammed. We don't want @OP to lose his money to fraud.

If we based on OP's post history, it seems OP didn't push on playing on this site on the subject.

No other response is also being made by OP concerning the site.

Moving forward, OP played on Playbetr but unfortunately, the experience is not that good for OP because something is violated on the said site's Terms and Service. I didn't follow the case but here's the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5418504
1272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: October 28, 2022, 06:37:55 PM

We also have to consider that in those said years, there are different trends that happened at some coins. Therefore, the Top 10 in the snapshot date chosen by OP which is October 24 has different data from other months within or the same year.

Take note also that when there's a big hype on a certain coin, it's really achievable to build up a big volume making their market capitalization grow but in most cases, that hype doesn't last for long resulting in not sustaining their position in the Top 10 coins in terms of market cap.

Anyway, I am honestly impressed with the effort done on that comparison.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Why We Prefer Online Casinos to Land-based Casinos on: October 27, 2022, 03:53:30 PM
It might be better if the OP put a poll in the beginning, at least we can vote why we like playing online as compare to traditional based casinos around.

I think having a poll about that seems doesn't need anymore as we already know that most people here are not interested in going into land-based casinos. I strongly believed that even though the pandemic didn't happen, I'm sure online gambling is still preferred by the majority here.

For me, if there's a chance, others should try giving a shot at visiting land-based casinos, maybe just for experienced. Of course, it is just optional. I've been gambling for many decades now that's why there's excitement for me whenever I play in a physical casino. As I mentioned previously, these casinos are not those usual big casinos that everyone thinks where the luxury standard applies. There are small to mid casinos around.
1274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull started? on: October 27, 2022, 03:42:51 PM
Just of yesterday I have seen a strong move of the ethereum gaining about 10 percent from the previous price and I was triggered to know if the bull about to kick off.
What do you smells from it?

Not because most coins turned green, we can safely conclude that the bull run now started. That was just a normal day in the market and it happened many times already since the bear trend started. It's fairly normal to see such movement even amid a bear market.

That might be a good start though to start hoping a continous increase in the value of our respective portfolio.

However, please limit your expectations to avoid frustration.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling techniques on: October 27, 2022, 03:33:06 PM
yep, I guess that is it. I couldnt remember the name of this strategy but it is in fact the martingale strategy. The catch of this strategy is exactly that, it is most sutable for players who have already a good balance or that are strating with a larger amount from the beginning. it is kind of reliable but you will need to have a good balance for it to work.

Disagree with how you think about martingale and to tell you honestly, that's not even a strategy but a form of betting method.

It's not suitable for all players even how good your bankroll is. Even if you started with the lowest betting amount possible, a losing streak is always possible to happen and that will kill your bankroll quickly.

How much amount you are referring to as considered "good balance" that is suitable for martingale betting?

it is kind of reliable but you will need to have a good balance for it to work.

If it's reliable, we should see already many players posting good experiences using the martingale form of betting.

Personally, I've already won a good amount using that betting method before but in the long run using it, the result turned horrible.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOST Price Prediction | Is IOST a Good Investment? on: October 27, 2022, 03:10:28 PM

IOST is one of the most popular coins I believed in 2018-2019. But I didn't touch this coin and did not include it in my portfolio.

The question of whether IOST is a good investment really depends on how we will look at this coin based on our own factors. With its current Marketcap and daily established volume, it can be considered one of the worthy coins to trade for short-term trading. I don't find this good for long-term long holding though.

Either way, as I mentioned, try to improve your DYOR regarding this coin. Really hard to give speculation on that matter. It should be a self-decision.
    1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2022, 02:51:17 PM
the team just need some miracle to be consistent.

That's too much lol. There's no need for a miracle but an adjustment. On where it should be started, the Lakers are the only ones who can solve that. It might be alarming already that the Lakers are now 0-4 but still, lots of time to work on that adjustment. Just don't make it to the point where that good adjustment will now finally come at the mid-half of the season.

Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers are unusual to see on the top of the standings but the question of whether they can able to maintain those spots is still a question. However, it's good to see unusual teams on the 1st and 2nd seeds for other NBA enthusiasts to shift their interest to these teams and not just focus on the Lakers.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Countries that are Legal and Illegal in gambling on: October 27, 2022, 02:44:27 PM

I have to disagree with Japan being listed there as one of the countries where gambling is illegal. There are allowed forms of gambling there and of course, those allowed should be regulated and not operating behind the shadows just to save their asses in paying taxes.

It's just the same in other countries that allow gambling but there's a form of gambling that is prohibited. Not totally illegal to do gambling in general.

For example here in PH, there are lots of allowed gambling here while at the same time, there are prohibited ones.
1279  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Strategies for Trading. on: October 27, 2022, 02:33:00 PM
Hello guys. What are the possible Currency pairs trading strategies that a newbie can follow up. It should be from personal observations, beliefs and practices. Thanks.

It's not with the specific trading pairs as almost all pairs need the best approach regardless if you are a newbie or not. There's no such thing as suggested trading pairs that a newbie or starter should pick. As a newbie, maybe pick based on what you really preferred or are somehow already aware of.

The key here is to understand how to work on the strategy to fully achieved the profits by doing the "buy low sell high".

BTC/USD trading pair might be a good start. Just give it a try to feel the real pressure of doing trades.
1280  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to improve your trading results? on: October 27, 2022, 02:23:15 PM

There's no other way but being used doing trading. Building experience is the key.

Always remember that there's no good improvement that can be achieved overnight. Even experienced and professional traders are still making some mistakes. It's just that they now able to minimize their losses while they are working on their progress.

Just continue trading and learn from all your mistakes. Even without reading trading techniques and tips, forming and improving a strategy will be automatically done on the way. Obviously, be serious about learning trades to fully achieved being a good trader later on.
