1281  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - service for anonymization of crypto transactions | Bitcoin mixer on: April 13, 2023, 10:01:45 PM
A unique order number key instead of a letter of guarantee.
You do know the purpose of a Letter of Guarantee, right? It's so the user has hard evidence in case you don't deliver. A "unique number" proves nothing. I can think of only one reason for not providing one: it helps cover up a potential scam. If you have good intentions, why risk people thinking this way?

I totally agree with LoyceV here! The Letter of Guarantee is a thing for a reason. It's like a formal promise that someone will fulfill their part of the deal. It's pretty handy in situations where there's a lot of risk or uncertainty involved.

@PureMixerio, how do you expect your customers to prove their deposit in the event of a dispute? An order number key serves no purpose because it proves nothing and you can easily claim that it is fake.

We store information about INCOMPLETE transactions for 72 hours to assist users in case of need, and delete this information instantly after 72 hours

What happens if the transaction is not confirmed within 72 hours, which can very easily happen in the case of sending with a low transaction fee?
1282  Other / Meta / Re: Please give me another chance . [after 5 years] on: April 13, 2023, 07:31:28 PM
Wow, half a decade is a pretty lengthy term, and in my opinion, you definitely learned your lesson and maybe deserve a second chance. Especially considering that upon reviewing your past threads, it appears that you weren't involved in any bounty campaigns at the time of your ban. This fact leads me to believe that your actions were not motivated by financial gain, but rather a lapse in judgement or a misunderstanding of the rules. Either way, I'm confident that you have grown from this experience.

From what I gather, some members who committed similar offenses in the past have already received pardons, so I think it's about time for the admins to give your case another look. I don't know all the details about how much you plagiarized, but if it was just a couple of instances, maybe they could go easy on you this time around.
1283  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blockchain Casinos - Consumer's Choice 2023! on: April 10, 2023, 09:47:23 PM
I agree that the title of the poll should be changed to "Most Popular Crypto Casinos" instead of "Blockchain Casinos" since the ones listed are not truly blockchain-based. And expanding the list to include more popular casinos would be a good idea to have a more diverse and fair poll. While Stake.com is a popular choice, I think the OP should update the poll to reflect the suggestions of the forum members and ensure that it accurately represents the opinions of the community.
1284  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Suggestion to improve privacy on Bitcointalk on: April 09, 2023, 08:01:57 PM
You can hardly call it 'going to extremes'. The blockchain is public data, so if you publish your transaction or address publicly, you can expect that someone will verify it. I don't see any problem with that. In fact, it can even be seen as a good practice to verify the authenticity of the transaction or someone's claims. However, it's true that malicious individuals could potentially misuse that information. SO, it's good to be cautious and take appropriate measures to protect your privacy.

I don’t think it’s necessary to publish one’s transaction address publicly, you don’t have to prove anything to anyone.

It really depends on the situation. For instance, when repaying a loan, it may be required to provide proof of payment. In the realm of cryptocurrency, verifiable transactions hold significant value as the blockchain technology operates with a level of transparency and integrity that humans cannot match.

Regarding the post you mentioned, nobody requested the OP to share his financial details publicly. It was his personal choice to do so.

No, this measure wouldn't protect your privacy at all, but it would rather benefit scammers who seek to manipulate the system using multiple accounts, such as those involved in promoting the 1xbit scam. If the address was not publicly disclosed, they would likely never have been caught.
I understand that bounty cheaters will want to abuse such system. As for accounts promoting 1xbit, they are already tag dubious users including the CM, and I doubt the CM even cares about those cheating in the campaign.

That's not what I meant. Even if the campaign manager is not taking action, it's important for the wider community to have proof of how the campaign is being run. If there is evidence of a large number of interconnected accounts and addresses, it shows that the campaign is not as legitimate as it may seem, and is using a farm of fake accounts to create the false impression of a large following.

In my opinion, it's possible that other scam platforms could follow a similar pattern and create fake signature campaigns by hiring fake accounts to make it seem like their promotional efforts are legitimate. That's why I think it's important for campaign payments to be transparent and public.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rigged Game on: April 09, 2023, 07:37:05 PM
Another way to tell if a game is rigged is to look for reviews and feedback from other players. If a lot of people are reporting similar issues with the game, that could be a red flag. It's also a good idea to do some research on the casino itself before you start playing. If there have been reports of fraud or rigged games in the past, that's definitely something to be aware of.
1286  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Suggestion to improve privacy on Bitcointalk on: April 09, 2023, 06:23:14 PM
I was browsing the forum yesterday when I found this post, it struck me because he went to the extreme to check the OP’s signature address on the blockchain. I wonder what others with malicious intent could do with that information.

I think it will be good if campaign managers change the application format to keep users payout addresses private so there is no link between forum usernames and addresses. I know the public spreadsheets help expose alt accounts and bounty cheaters, and for this reason some members may prefer the system stay the same but I believe making the change. I’ve seen only one campaign already doing this, what do you guys think? Should spreadsheets and payout addresses be kept private?

No, this measure wouldn't protect your privacy at all, but it would rather benefit scammers who seek to manipulate the system using multiple accounts, such as those involved in promoting the 1xbit scam. If the address was not publicly disclosed, they would likely never have been caught.
1287  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proof of Space with RAM on: April 09, 2023, 05:56:10 PM
cpu can have multiple cores. ram memory can have variable speeds but it is very little difference. high end ram memory does not have as much advantage compared to a high end cpu.

It can make a big difference depending on the amount of RAM available. For instance, if you have a desktop computer with 8GB of RAM and I have a server with 4x32GB of RAM, are we on an equal footing? If I manage a server farm, the difference could be even bigger. And don't even get me started on the sheer superiority of the data centers and cloud providers owned by big corporations.

if a proof of ram coin enters the market it is only a matter of time for decentralization. we could say the same with bitcoin in 2009 because amazon had big servers.

Are you seriously considering repeating 2009, just because you missed out on the chance to mine Bitcoin when it was dirt cheap? Have you even thought about the future of such a coin? What if someone starts complaining about RAM coin in a decade or so because the mining process is not decentralized enough? What should we do then?
1288  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proof of Space with RAM on: April 08, 2023, 08:06:05 PM
ram memory is much more accessible and "equal" than cpu and then asics.

How precisely is RAM more accessible or "equal" than the CPU? RAM is just another chip, and we are still reliant on manufacturers and face constraints with market supply. Unless there's a method of producing your own, the situation remains the same.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: April 08, 2023, 07:58:20 PM
Probably, this is just another strategy of the casinos so that players will be more tempted to play slots and would be somehow deceived that it’s not anymore a game of pure luck but certainly all about skills too. Beginners might believe on this and manage to play but lose more, but for long time gamblers they will never see slots that will increase your winning chances but still a game of pure luck that will only make you lose if you’re not lucky enough.

I think you're missing the point here. I don't believe that the aim of casinos or slot game developers is to mislead players, but rather to lure them with new, unique and captivating concepts. While it's true that slots are primarily based on luck, introducing new gameplay mechanics and features can make the experience more exciting for players. In fact, some players may even develop their own strategies or preferences when playing slots. It's important to remember that casinos are businesses, and their goal is to make a profit. If introducing new slot game features and mechanics can help attract more players and increase revenue, then it makes sense for them to do so.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 08, 2023, 07:45:19 PM
I agree that transparency is essential for any online gambling website. Players want to know that they have a fair chance of winning, and that the results are not being manipulated in any way. It's good to hear that some reputable casinos are being transparent about their bonus programs and events. However, as was mentioned earlier, some of new casinos may not have a reputation yet, and it can be difficult to know if their bonus programs are fair and transparent. And also, some influencers and streamers may not be providing real or trusted results. That's why it's important to look for influencers and streamers who have a reputation for honesty and transparency, and who are not just in it for the money. Reading reviews and doing some research can help you avoid any potential scams or rip-offs.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: April 08, 2023, 07:36:04 PM
I agree that Modric is a fantastic player, and his dedication to the national team is truly inspiring. However, I think that winning the Nations League should not be his ultimate goal. It's a great achievement, of course, but the European Championship is the biggest prize in European football, and I think that's where Modric will truly want to make his mark.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any casino site offer Ludo game? on: April 08, 2023, 04:11:43 PM
^^^^ That's true, but I think it's also important to consider the entertainment value of the games. While games like dice and roulette may be popular in casinos, they can get repetitive and boring after a while. Adding more variety, such as skill-based games like poker or blackjack, can enhance the overall experience for players. About the mention of Ludo, did you know that it could be played with only two players? But I'm not sure if Ludo would be a good fit for a casino platform. It's not traditionally associated with gambling, and it may not attract as many players as other popular casino games.
1293  Economy / Gambling / Re: Limited in every bookmaker on: April 08, 2023, 03:47:24 PM
I would advise against taking up this offer, as it could potentially be illegal or involve fraudulent activities. Taking risks with unknown individuals or unverified platforms can lead to serious consequences and losses. Especially if your casino account is KYC-ed, which can get you into trouble if the OP engages in some shady and illegal activities.

Stay safe and make wise choices.
1294  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: April 08, 2023, 03:39:35 PM
As expected, I am just stumbling on this wonderful thread, what well-detailed information, I never knew this is available on this forum, bravo to you OP.
<...>

Totally feel you, Crypt0Gore. Dealing with online casinos asking for KYC verification can be a pain in the butt. But this thread has some seriously helpful info. And it's pretty cool that the OP still updates it regularly even after a whole year! Gotta love forum members who go the extra mile to help others out.
1295  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: April 07, 2023, 09:34:48 PM
I completely agree. It's important to carefully read the terms and conditions of any platform before registering and depositing any money. If something isn't mentioned on the TOS, it's better to be safe than sorry and assume the worst.

Regarding casinos requiring KYC information, it's becoming a standard practice in the industry. Casinos are legally required to know their customers. While it may seem like an invasion of privacy, it's important for the casino to ensure they are following regulations.

As for bonuses, you should be aware of the terms and conditions before accepting them. If a casino promises a bonus but doesn't pay it out after the deposit, that's definitely a red flag for a scam. Always make sure to read the fine print and follow the rules stated in the TOS to avoid any issues.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to spend your Bitcoin on: April 07, 2023, 09:14:18 PM
Whether it is wise to spend your Bitcoin or not depends on your individual circumstances and your investment goals. Some argue that Bitcoin is a good investment and should be held for the long term, while others believe that it is important to use Bitcoin as a currency and spend it like any other money. Personally, I like to save every satoshi I earn, but it's not always easy. Some days, it feels like there is no end to the number of things I could buy with my Bitcoin. Other days, I feel like I'm wasting money if I buy anything at all. The key is to be smart about it. If you want to build wealth with Bitcoin, it is important to be patient and resist the temptation.

I tried to see what wallet is compatible with Beefy through my phone, and it only features WalletConnect, Coinbase wallet, and CDC Connect, with none of which I have any experience.

WalletConnect is not a wallet, but an open source protocol for connecting decentralized applications to mobile wallets with QR code scanning or deep linking. source: https://walletconnect.com/

You can find a list of supported wallets here: https://explorer.walletconnect.com/?type=wallet
1298  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proof of Space with RAM on: April 07, 2023, 08:44:54 PM
I think it is theoretically possible to create a proof of space algorithm that utilizes RAM instead of hard drives for storage. However, there are several challenges that would need to be overcome to make this approach practical and effective. The biggest challenge in my opinion is that using RAM for storage could make it easier for attackers to create fake proofs of space, as RAM is more easily manipulated than hard drive storage. RAM is more volatile and can be more easily manipulated than hard drive storage, which could make it easier for attackers to create fake proofs of space or manipulate the consensus process in other ways.
1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 07, 2023, 11:15:52 AM
Augsburg vs Koln
<...>

Augsburg has been in great form at home, winning 13 points out of the last 15 available. On the other hand, Cologne has been struggling recently, with just one victory in their last ten matches. With Augsburg's strong home form and Cologne's poor recent performances, it's no surprise that many are predicting Augsburg to win.

Do you think Augsburg will be able to maintain their home form and secure a win? Or will Cologne be able to turn things around and pull off an upset?

Personally, I'm leaning towards Augsburg winning this match, and I also think that the under 2.5 goals market is a good bet. But I'm interested to hear your opinions and predictions.
1300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are you still strong holding btc on: April 03, 2023, 04:49:39 PM
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. It's like the old saying goes, "buy low, sell high, panic later."  Cheesy

But seriously, I think it's important to stick to your strategy and not let emotions dictate your decisions. I was lucky enough to buy much of my BTC when the price was still low. NOw it's hard to resist the temptation to take a profit, but at the end of the day, it's all about making the best decision for yourself and your financial goals.
