Guys at MRR, why are rentals priced the same as mine but with much lower RPI listed before my own rentals!?!?

I just wanted to say I think you guys have a great service. Your website is great.
I don't think I should have to wait a full 24 hours before being paid though - that's one observation.
My second observation is that you should remove machines with low RPI scores. I really like to give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to renting machines, because as the owner of over 35 machines I know they can be tempermental. But one person with several really large instances has been a point of frustration recently. On at least 3 occasions, I've paid for one of his machines and the never started mining. Only to be forced to sit there frustrated waiting for the machine to start with no response from the owner and then finally get my money back after 20 or 30 minutes. A user should be able to negate a rental within 10 minutes if the machine never starts. Machines/Machine owners like this only reflect poorly on your great service.
I am not going to mention the name of the owner of these machines here,. I'll open a support ticket and ask you remove his machines because in all seriousness, only one has ever started out of 8 attempts to work with this guy and finally when he did manage to get one machine running yesterday for a 12 hour rental it's been down nearly over 33% of the time. People with machines like this only reflect poorly on what I think it a great service and a great website.
I realize that you do publish an RPI score which should serve as a basic guide to the reliability of the machine, but i also thing that owners who are not willing to run their machines through your website to show how the machine is hashing should be placed into a second tier of rentals.

That 'GUY' supposedly has been banned before but keeps coming back. He only rents machines from 'somewhere' on an order basis and never manages them. He is screwing with MRR rental prices also as he constantly keeps dropping the prices with his CRAPPY rentals messing with other's earnings. And yes, if the RPI is below 90% I say don't waste your time renting. Sometimes there is bad luck from a renter who has no clue to to configure a rental and thus screwing up my RPI but it can be brought back up in a few rentals. I've had mine hit 89% once last week due to a guy renting 2x in a row with bad pool and not listening to my recommendations or re-selling my rental to someone else with his proxy, which just doesn't work well, then claiming a refund because of his screw up. Another time I've had someone using slush's pool with problems and even MRR thought it was my fault after I disputed the refund. TUrns out I was right after I tested it. Slush NEEDS a manually set difficulty for each worker for larger rentals. their vardiff starts at '8' and takes hours to get to the proper level. |

It would be be great to get all the players to gather and have a sit down. Who knows what could be accomplished. There are great rates on rooms just off the strip, I'm talking a block, 2 min. walk. The Fremont Street Experience 24/7 party down town not well known but HOT. There is a huge Asian presence here it could draw the bitmain dudes here, that would be fun. Could they resist?  drop some BTC in the USA. Just a thought. Why the heck would you want those skeeving snakes there?!?!? |

Good Lord. I didn't think I would ever get a block. I live in Las Vegas, and just got back from my fav. casino, Texas Stations, playing Surf 'n' chicken.
This was from 1 of my small rentals on MRR. to kept my 5nd up. No idea which one as I use the same worker of all of them.
It's hot in Las Vegas, so I have to turn off my rigs and rent. my garage can hit 120 F/50 C.
I sent a few S7s to Toomim Bros, and plan to buy 1 S9 also send it to Toomim, and wait for Avalon to do its dance.
In the meantime I've been tiring to sell my 2 a6s & 1s5 with power supply's as a package for $900 with free shipping.
So far no takers.

Is NH looking into the miners connected to it? There is a consensus about block withholding going on possibly through your traffic.
Just like any other kind of attack, we will confiscate earned bitcoins in such cases and block/ban IPs. So I'm guessing your answer is no and you keep the BTC, while people who rent these bad miners from you get shafted..... The answer is yes, but we cannot discuss any more details in public. The attacker could bypass our security systems if knowing them. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Those who are honest and paying for your service should be compensated. In no way should nice hash just keep the BTC. I would imagine this practice is pretty profitable for you? Just like when the prices magically go to 'max' even though most other rentals are paying 30% less. VERY profitable business with no oversight or anyone to answer to if there is foul play going on.  |

What about people that use MRR for rentals? A lot of miners are run through there using it for miner pool management and if not rented out mining on this pool. Can't just ban that.

So, the next day that Kano.is pool finds 6 blocks (and 2 of them are found with S9s), does that mean that the "nefarious" miners failed to do their job?  Or their miners are off the pool... I don't care what people quote in regards to 'luck' and statistics. It's simple to notice when you have normal to good luck for very long time, then when large PH accounts via rentals arrive, the luck goes to hell. They go away and we're back to normal to good luck again. It's been repeated numerous times since we've been over 25PH. Heck we had IMO better and more stable expected daily blocks at that level than since it's been over. In a way I'd rather we've be back at that hash rate. I'm still riding this bad luck as we're at 4-5blocks behind since the last 2 high-block days from the 16th, but not sure how long I can stay optimistic. |

Will an S9 be able to pay for itself under its lifetime ?
I might be stupid, but when I count on it I come to the conclusion that an S9 is so expensive and produces to little so it wont be able to pay for itself for a very long time.
Definitely. IF it ever does. And about "Correlation, but not causation", this is invalid as an action or occurrence can cause or be caused by another. So for anyone to drone out someone's idea of a relation between (for example) MUCH lower and longer block times vs 2 years of averages is like putting a towel over your head so the monstter can not see you...  Just like, if you step out of your house, you MIGHT get hit by a bus.. Or be pooped on by a bird. |

If I were some wild conspiracy nut, I might think that as more S9's are pointed at our pool, that our luck has gone sour.
It certainly seems to have. Last extended period of bad luck it was rentals, this time it's S9's. Maybe we are just having some bad luck? During the rental conspiracy I jumped ship. As luck would have it we started hitting blocks and I missed out on a good profit. Won't happen again with me. Luck is luck and it changes, it can't be good all the time. Yup, you are totally right.. Glad you agree that it's the rentals and the S9's.. Smart man we've got over there.. |

I don't mine at kano.is because it is not a Chinese pool. Yes, I know he has a couple of Chinese relay nodes, but that is not good enough for me.
To all the people who just want to "make more money in the long run", guess what ? In the long run we are all dead.
