I meet a big opponent in this round and I must do my best to make sure I get at least a draw. 4 more games to keep in this spot, so I feel like even if I aim to draw every game left, it's "safe" enough for promotion.

A lot of scary questions and research might make it worse Wink

This loss moved me down on the Division 1 table from the 4th to the 7th place. It's pretty crowded here at the middle of the table. Bunch of us are separated with only 1 or 2 points difference so anything can happen until the end of the season. I just hope I won't get into some kind of losing streak that would result in relegation. I like it in the Division 1 Smiley

There are four more rounds so I have to keep my game up. In the last three round I'm up against the last three players on the table (vd309, arallmuus and LTU_btc) which may sound like a good thing, but they will be fighting to get out of the relegation zone.

I like my Division 2 too but I wanna be back in Division 1, I know I did badly there before but I felt I was a bit unlucky, like getting 2 times loss because I paired with highest scorer. Good luck but don't worry whatever happens every division is fun!

Another Sunday to enjoy unpredictable football. I sometimes wonder how I cope on weekends without football during the breaks and especially how we pulled through the early lockdown periods.

Try living in a different timezone, and only being able to catch a few games a month unless you're willing to loose sleep (and possibly loose your job).

But I agree of course. Even without watching all games live we follow teams and replays and duscussions. I love the chats on forum even. Without that it feels like the days go longer!

Looking forward to my early watch, but not EPL Wink

French luck, but English teams let me down but okay so did Japan.

Southampton new kit look nice!

I didn't stick around for a lot of football today, I was barely awake for 12 minutes into Tottenham's game so I missed quite some deadline, and that was a blessing in disguise, I managed to keep it up with my Tennis bet instead  Cheesy

Yes same here that was actually the only game I could stay up to watch, I wish they could play more games during those times but I understand fans prefer evenings maybe it's far less hot then.

If I stay up to watch the evening games I kiss goodbye to my work life. Only Barca on champions league nights I sacrifice sleep Smiley

Sevilla once more the favorite but I have them in BSFL as not to win, so that is me making sure I don't fall for their trap again!
I don't trust Sevilla ever, they always find a way to screw you in the end.

In other news this is what I believe first time in any pool ever that I am last on table. I knew I was doing badly I had no idea I am this bad  Grin And my colleague cryptofrka is just next to me with buwaytress only one spot removed. This deserves a screenshot Smiley Sorry mitchr for dragging you into this.

Lol you three are probably the most consistent experts in gambling I would say but you guys prove no one is forever good at everything!! And why I never pay for tips sorry guys I have to laugh but don't worry my turn came in BSFL, relegated Smiley

Sevilla is the only thing we can all agree on, and Girona made a big profit on their inability to score. Many chances from few attempts but defence terrible. Same start as last season it seems.

LuckyGuy is a lucky guy Wink And thank you for more freebets Steve (for the Newcastle sponsorship prediction!

While waiting for them I decided to go for a multibet for 5 games including French and Japan matches, since I seem to be on a good roll.

Well done brother. I was lucky last week with my 6 fold where I had premier league, Serie A and LaLiga only. This season I am following these three leagues so my most of bets will be in their matches.

I am not having good luck with La Liga, my favorite but weirdly getting good wins in slightly unfamiliar leagues. Belgium, France, Japan, Brazil now my favs Smiley

Thankfully I got the basketball question right. 4 questions left but only 1 different answer with Renato so I win this round no matter what. One more step towards my fight for promotion so I'm very happy!

It's a Sevilla win or not that gets to define the winner here, but is Sevilla a team I'd like to have my fate on ? they look consistent to some one extent, but they'll likely bring you to the brink of death before pull off some stunts, and Girona have been their nemesis for the last 3 games or thereabout, and it's 0 from a possible 6 for Sevilla while Girona are still without defeat, the momentum is clearly on your side, but "you just can never undermine Sevilla" is the only positive compass I can cling onto right now.

I would never ever bet on Girona in this game but I also learned well my lesson about Sevilla. The thing is, they play so well when motivated and have amazing players but you get it when Rubiales said he hates 3 teams in La Liga and Sevilla + Valencia are two of them. These guys should be fighting for titles and got great histories in big cups, but they look so bad playing mediocre teams. GL to you, don't let buway get away with this!

Real Madrid what can I say? They should be losing at least once but bought the most important player for their season and future 10 seasons. I hate them but like Bellingham. He is more mvp than Benzema it seems.

It reminds me Utd and Chelsea last season LOL
Both of these teams costed me a lot both in the pool and in gambling. I think I have Sevilla to lose not sure what I picked for Valencia match.

Chelsea cost me a lot but honestly so did Barca at times when I went for handicaps they kept going 1-0 at some point lol

Sevilla once more the favorite but I have them in BSFL as not to win, so that is me making sure I don't fall for their trap again!

PSG spent big, it was strong enough to win everything, but it wasn't "shaped" by good competition.
I agree with you that the tougher the competition in the domestic league, the more motivated a club will be to improve. I'll take the example of the Premier League for example, they get tough competition from all clubs, we can't easily predict matches there, because there clubs that are considered weak can become a stumbling block for big clubs. And we can see what they can do in European competitions as a result of the intense competition in their local competitions. Unlike Ligue 1, we can see what they can do in European competitions, especially the Champions League. They can't say much there.

We can't deny things like this, because after all this is part of the mental formation that will be very useful.

Yup. Even in real life, study or work. If you're the best at your class or at your office by far, you get lazy. Why work hard when working less hard is easier?

Football is perfect example. PSG play so lazy, same as Bayern at some point. But Manchester City themselves Pep said they got so good in 5/6 years mainly because Liverpool pushed them so hard. No better motivation than to be better than others who are SO good

It made me think of an example like this forum too, you have shit campaigns where managers don't care about quality of posts, if you don't want to make effort and compete for better pay, those are good for you.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: August 25, 2023, 08:45:38 AM
Yo chill. I think we all understand that it is Aston Villa against a team that I am hearing their name for the first time literally. So we did not expect too much from Hibernian. And yes, I did Google the name. There is no reason to actually attack @SOKO-DEKE because sometimes these teams can actually pull out a good performance. Just look at Marseille. They lost against Panathinaikos. I definitely did not hear the name before they actually won against Marseille. And football can be unpredictable.

And I do have a question. If someone does not bet, does it mean that he does not have any say about any match in football?

There is always a good reason to attack someone who doesn't contribute to the conversation and "pretends" they actually know stuff. This forum is constantly cleaned up so normal users can experience a cleaner site but have you ever read megathreads where 80 or 90% of posts are meaningless spam?

I mean, the guy said he watched Hibernian, this forum is full of spammers claiming all sorts of rubbish and I'm calling him out. I never watched a single Hibernian game or know a single player there.

If someone does not gamble, but posts in the gambling section, then his say has less meaningful contribution to the people who are, guess what, in a Gambling Discussion thread.

If I go to a gardening subforum and Google about roses and tell everyone I plant roses, people have the right to call me out Tongue

Messi is indeed doing great and bringing some real action to the MLS. So far they haven't lost a single game right? Isn't this like the most successful winning streak they ever had? Given that Messi already scored a bunch of very important goals, it seems needless to say that he has had enormous impact on the team immediately. The Barcelona coalition is doing great there.

Indeed no games lost yet, but that's bound to end of course, the point more is the team now look like winners. Play like shit 80 mins, get Messi to give good crosses or score, you only need to head the ball right lol

2 finals in 10 games, maybe 2 trophies. Amazing.

Yeah, we have a lot of different answers. I'm used to having only few different answers but this time it's different. I'm not that sure about USA getting that much medals, but we will see. As Harkorede said, they could have win a lot of them yesterday, but failed. But it's just one question. We are still far away from settling this week. There are still a lot of points to win. For me the biggest problem is that one loss will mean that I'll drop a lot of places on the table. It's only three points difference between me on the 4th and casperBGD on the 9th place.

This is also for me it feels the round where many peoplw mentioned they have half different answers from their opponent. Normally, I feel like 3 or 4 for me no matter the opponent. In this one only 4 different from Renato.

Now I feel much less confident about USA. 5 events and 0 gold, bad.

Wow well done about Newcastle! Big club, getting bigger, hopefully they remember their sponsors when they make it big! Looking forward to new photographs of users and Steve in new stadium.

Anyway wanted to share my freebets are paying off before I even won them from pools. One I shared last week is from Steve drops. This one from La Liga/Serie A pool. I was getting great luck last season on French football, I switched a little this time for Belgium football.

Pochettino will be a difference maker though, if Boehly gives him time. I'm afraid time is not something Chelsea likes to give.

If Chelsea does not give time to Pochettino they know very well what will happen next,to all the guys, the coaches that they did not give time,as soon as they started to change coaches they started losing games and going from bad to worse so most likely Chelsea management has learned from their mistakes as if they keep repeating them then Chelsea will keep going down and more down.

For me Pochettino is the right guy to lead Chelsea to come out from these bad results and with West Ham was only bad, very bad luck.

They changed over 10 in the last 15 seasons? So they know, yet they don't care. Winning titles is not enough for them, they want immediate changes. So that's why I am unsure if Pochettino gets the time he needs. Chelsea is not a normal club, proven by this shopping spree that never ends.

Liverpool leaving the bid after being rejected was a dumb idea. They ruined the market for us and for future plans.

Dumb and irresponsible, but somehow it worked to spoil a rival. I fear market will not calm down and just get crazier Sad My club is to blame also.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 24, 2023, 08:38:51 AM
It's not a problem if you dominate Ligue 1 even for a long time without tough competition from other teams, such as Bayern who control the Bundesliga, but the problem is that they don't build this team strong enough to compete on the European stage like what has been done by Bayern Munich in the last few seasons.

But it is a problem. It's proven that if your league is tough, then you produce really good teams and players. Competition makes teams try really really hard. Bayern at least has consistent challenge from Dortmund and even in cups fight very hard with others but PSG can clean sweep everything if they just try.

They have been having it too easy, so even with superstars they didn't try hard anymore. They lose or draw because they take things too much for granted.

PSG spent big, it was strong enough to win everything, but it wasn't "shaped" by good competition.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Qualifiers on: August 24, 2023, 07:35:57 AM
Agree with FanEagle, we're beginning to see some nice quality teams in this bottom tier cup, normally I wouldn't say Villa is quality but recently, they look really skillful.

Lille, Fiorentina, Bodo, Frankfurt, Fenerbahce, Besiktas. These are really cool teams to watch too.

Currently, I know that Aston Villa is in good form, and I believe that Aston Villa will win the game easily with many goals, but I don't ever think that Aston Villa will have much opportunity to score up to five goals. The surprise part is that Hibernian was not able to score even a goal, which is a very poor performance. I never thought that Hibernian's team was weak like this, but today I witness it them  playing against Aston Villa.

Ya, no shit Sherlock. Did you support your own belief with an actual bet or is this just a spam post to pretend that you're a sports betting person?

I mean, Hibernian vs Premier League team, with odds on Aston Villa to score Over 3 goals was 1.91. What is the surprise here?
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: August 24, 2023, 05:42:32 AM
Messssiiiiii! I still wished he somehow came back to Barca but I'm really happy to see him succeed, with David Beckham lol.

That guy is full of drama and magic, in a great way. What a legend, not even Zlatan had this impact on MLS!

but what really surprises me is that currently the score between Maccabi - Young Boys is still 0-0

I really couldn't have seen that from a millimeter away, because damn, Young Boys are not the team win with their opponent not scoring so 0-1 was never an option and in this kind questions, I always prefer to have a multiple chance 4+ was my choice, and even If the hands of time were turn back, I wouldn't have changed my mind, however the other 2 qualifier games which were supposed to a lower amount of goals scored had the most, 3 and 5 goals eventually.

_______________

In the World Athletic Championship, depending on the types of competitions that are left, USA actually might get over that 13.5 line easily, I watch the women Pole Vault finals live today and the Gold Katie Moon won to bring USA to 7 Golds in total was a shared first place medal another, I actually thought they weren't going to include it in the final tally, but it only makes sense that they do, since it's a Gold medal still whether shared or not.

Only bullrunbro got this one right, the rest of us fell prey to the gigh attacking games of both teams, forget that sometimes this happens for example chelsea liverpool for example last season I think 0-0 was the score 4 times?

Villa ran like fire in their game, now they easily qualify I guess?

___________________

According to the events left I see USA has chances in something like 13 more events, but I count 7 where they qualified in 1st or 2nd place, so I think it's gonna be close.
1296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy now or I should still wait for the dip? on: August 23, 2023, 10:07:25 AM
It wasnt too long ago where some people were holding out for sub $10,000 prices,
and actually much lower - which didnt happen so they probably ended up either not
buying or buying at a higher price.

and in the not so distant future there will be some people saying they missed the opportunity
to buy at $26,000.

Exactly. Luna and FTX crash people were proudly saying of 9k lows and great entry points. Where are they now? Nice to get but nicer to have average buys between 15k and 30k the whole time since then.

After next halving, people will be waiting for price to crash below 30k, and it will also never happen Wink

I'm not such a smart guy but Bitcoin price is so easy to understand if you think about it lol
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 23, 2023, 08:58:20 AM
Chelsea and Liverpool both lost on this transfer if you ask me. Liverpool needed the player but lost him and in process managed to remove a hefty amount from Chelsea pocket. I know you don't want to hear it but Chelsea transfer policy is criminal, you guys spent so much on frankly mostly mediocre players. I said the same in that transfer window when Boehly decided to buy everything and I will say it again now. Only difference is you have better coach now so maybe he will manage to salvage something.

Liverpool had the best transfer only a few seasons ago but I believe this time they were surprised of losing almost all midfield, and then no choice but pay high fees.

Caicedo seems to be a trick from Liverpool, they knew Chelsea wanted him so they left the bid lol I doubt they ever pay that much for 2nd rate urgent need.

Pochettino will be a difference maker though, if Boehly gives him time. I'm afraid time is not something Chelsea likes to give.

Guys please remember, Sevilla are trap. I pick them but just don't put money on them. Then when they disappoint you, you don't get hurt Wink

Be careful of the other trap team Valencia. They will even be top of the table but they will break your heart and smash it in front of you a million pieces.

Barca back to yellow/red card power. I feel this season is time to bet overs on cards.

So glad I went for the draw. I know PSV was the favorite but as I mentioned yesterday, Rangers at home are tough to beat and in fact they took the lead twice but still only got one point, so the next leg is when I would bet on PSV.

Nice article Trofo Smiley I was watching our league like you, we need LFC_Bitcoin to deliver leea his first taste of defeat, for selfish reasons that we can catch up for promotion but also I hate to see LFC relegate so you can do it man!
1300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy now or I should still wait for the dip? on: August 22, 2023, 11:01:46 AM
So why not have some at 25k, some at 23k, some at 20k, some at 17k and so forth? That way I would be buying along the way when it is going down, and wherever it stops, I will not be too late to buy, and already bought some on the way. That will definitely benefit people, I did sort of like that at 30k and 29k, but that doesn't mean that we are going to be right all the time, like me who bought at 29k but it went lower.

Ah but you can just buy again!

So we have a dip now, I sincerely hope that with this the people who were holding out
for "the dip" have actually bought it after waiting and waiting and havent partaken
in DCA.

Like I've been saying this entire thread, I think those posters generally aren't really even doing what they're claiming. Anyone serious enough is already doing DCA. Anyone who said at 30k they were waiting for the dip, I bet you, they're waiting for 20k now. And guess if they'll buy at 20k Wink

The price drop is a perfect opportunity to buy at a lower price.

And have you bought any? No point saying what everyone else knows, especially if you're not buying Smiley
