Oh, and I hope you batch 2 guys aren't too excited... If you're planning on mining with them, prepare to be disappointed. Hopefully you won't have to deal with dies crapping out on you left and right like us lucky B1 owners, but hope and KNC doesn't go well together.
1282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: KNC Titan Batch 2 Ships!! on: March 20, 2015, 03:24:54 AM
I guess now is the perfect time to short LTC/BTC and LTC/USD

When looking at the hashing power on the LTC network, that down trend will continue.. it all started after they announced the're stopping development...

Where did they announce they had quit on development? I only saw the quote saying that LTC doesn't need more development right now, it needs more acceptance. If that's what you're talking about, that doesn't mean there won't be more development in the future.

emdje, did you end up fixing your broken board?
1284  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Getting Started. What hardware for 4 Amperes max. on: March 20, 2015, 03:20:47 AM
Don't expect to make a lot, but if you can get one for a good price you can certainly make a few bucks of profit, especially with free power.
1285  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Betarigs help on: March 20, 2015, 03:19:22 AM
I never had any issues with betarigs and my old S1s, are you sure you're properly inputting the server worker name and password on your S1?
1286  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S1 on: March 20, 2015, 03:17:48 AM
I'd be surprised if you used more than 500MB per month with both rigs.
1287  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Judging Results? on: March 20, 2015, 03:14:54 AM
Looking good, definitely bump the speed up if your PSU can handle the extra load.

An update on the scammer:

He never got back to me, obviously. Just got off the phone with eBay, nothing they can do for me. SOL. They are going to be looking into him and possibly deleting his account for doing business outside of eBay's system.

I was contacted by another member here who was also scammed by him. Looking at the payment address we were given, looks like he scammed a few people. One of the scams was a Titan listing, and another a Neptune.

Here's the scammer's address: 18JAc9cR45vXEkw2MeuiDarxQ5f8CugNer

I was the 3.2BTC transaction, the other scammed BCT user was the 3.5BTC, and it looks like he got a third sucker for 3.4BTC before the end of his listings.

If anyone knows how to find info on him, especially his home address, please get in touch with me. His eBay userid is "int1130133".

Hey check your PM's dude!!!! For some reason I got to see ALL the folks who left feedback for him,ALL OF THEM!!!!!!  Grin Grin Grin

Enjoy!! I have copies on my PC if imgur fails to show  Cool

THANK YOU! Cheesy

Sending you some BTC once you get me your address.

@Prelude,

Requests were in to the programmers and engineers.  Unfortunately, we wrench monkeys can't write the firmware.  Please be patient!

Thank you

Great to hear! All I (and many others I'm sure) wanted was word from Bitmain that they acknowledge the issue and plan on fixing it. Communication is key! Thank you.  Smiley
1291  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S2 upgrade kit? EDIT: New info 3/11 on: March 19, 2015, 06:35:25 PM
Yes, please wait a bit more.  No additional info is available at this time.

I would also like to hear some updates on this so I'm keeping the thread alive Smiley

Hi BitmainWarranty,

Could you go over to the S4 thread and address the broken firmware issue?

Thanks

12 feedbacks as a seller within the past month, all private listings. I wonder how many of those sales also had BTC buyers get hosed off the books?

Good question. eBay will be looking into all of his previous listings apparently, to see if he's accepted payments in BTC before.

Does he sell any small items Huh  Buy something thru ebay from him, you'll have ALL his info  Grin

This is the only guy I came up with:

Yep,that's him, hope you get satisfaction bro....... Angry

I can see who left feedback (15 ID's of em),I'd contact those folks & tell em your story & see if they'll cough up his address & info  Cool

If you can't see those people, let me know I'll send you a copy of em  Wink

Seems like eBay removed a lot of the feedback on his profile. Did you take a screencap before by any chance?

Look at the wording on this listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spondoolies-SP20E-JACKSON-capable-of-0-50-W-GH-underclocked-WITH-PSU-/171724715659?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27fb97368b

Does it sound familiar?  Wink

Try to get his "Seattle" address without making him suspicious.

But I don't believe there's a real "Seattle address". It's just there to make it look believable.

Unfortunately this seems to be a very well oiled set of scams probably from an eastern european group.

No offense intended for anyone living in the region. It's just the way things are.

It may also be the real deal and he's trying to legitimately offload the miners after the score.

I suppose it could be someone who just legitimately copied the description from the other auctions, but yeah... Fishy. I'll see what I can get out of him.

All recent selling feedback disappeared. Only 1 remains.

I think this is eBay way of "solving" the problem.

I contacted all buyers before they disappeared when the auctions were still live.

Some replied and according to 2 of them the account was registered in Poland when they bought and everything went according to plan.

Poland, eh? Would you mind contacting those who replied and asking them for his address? You could offer them some money for it if they won't give it up, which I'll give you either with BTC or PayPal. I happen to know some unpleasant people in Poland, and I'd be up for taking a trip.

Thanks for your help so far guys, much appreciated!

1296  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 18, 2015, 03:14:02 AM
the new S4 firmware looks like it is taking the Frequency to voltage change without a restart tested with a WEMo at the wall. Voltage went from 1400+ at 220 0725v to around 1300 at 187.5 setting FREQ voltage at 0686

The 20150129 firmware? Frequency works but not voltage. Give it a try, measure at this wall at the same frequency but change the voltage.

Why would the wattage at the wall go from 1400W to 1300W by changing From 0725 to 0686. Are you saying that the wattage change is just from the frequency change and the voltage is still the same. Trust me I am trying to figure this one out myself. Thanks

Yes, the wattage drop you saw is just from frequency.

You went from 225MHz (220 isn't an option) 0725v to 187.5MHz 0686 correct? With a 100w drop?

Try 187.5 0725, you'll see the same power draw.

Get a DPS2000 with breakout board from sidehack and run all 3 off of it. You'll need 240v.

For the damaged fans, please email  support @ bitmain . zendesk . com  with your order ID

The small pin/clipper we will try to get the spec for you.

Are you blind or just trying to piss me off on purpose? Answer my damn question that I have directly addressed to you multiple times please instead of cherry picking who you provide support to.

When will the broken firmware be fixed? We need voltage control!!!!
1299  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 18, 2015, 01:49:50 AM
In anybody willing to share how far you can under-clock the s4?

Impossible to under clock properly because of the broken firmware. All you can do is lower frequency without being able to lower the voltage. Voltage is where the real power savings will come from, along with reduced heat.
