Anyone know how to install no-ip (or some other free ddns service) on a SPxx for remote administration?
Don't you need to set NoIP on your router and do some port forwarding from there to you SPxx? I recently setup my home web-server (not on port 80) with no-ip and all I had to do was add a game / application on the router and ensure that the server was running on a static IP (or set the always use this IP if DHCP on router ... though may cause conflicts). I also turned off upnp. |

An update on the scammer: He never got back to me, obviously. Just got off the phone with eBay, nothing they can do for me. SOL. They are going to be looking into him and possibly deleting his account for doing business outside of eBay's system. I was contacted by another member here who was also scammed by him. Looking at the payment address we were given, looks like he scammed a few people. One of the scams was a Titan listing, and another a Neptune. Here's the scammer's address: 18JAc9cR45vXEkw2MeuiDarxQ5f8CugNerI was the 3.2 BTC transaction, the other scammed BCT user was the 3.5 BTC, and it looks like he got a third sucker for 3.4 BTC before the end of his listings. If anyone knows how to find info on him, especially his home address, please get in touch with me. His eBay userid is "int1130133". Look at the wording on this listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spondoolies-SP20E-JACKSON-capable-of-0-50-W-GH-underclocked-WITH-PSU-/171724715659?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27fb97368bDoes it sound familiar?  Try to get his "Seattle" address without making him suspicious. But I don't believe there's a real "Seattle address". It's just there to make it look believable. Unfortunately this seems to be a very well oiled set of scams probably from an eastern european group. No offense intended for anyone living in the region. It's just the way things are. It may also be the real deal and he's trying to legitimately offload the miners after the score. |

I can see who left feedback (15 ID's of em),I'd contact those folks & tell em your story & see if they'll cough up his address & info  If you can't see those people,let me know I'll send you a copy of em All recent selling feedback disappeared. Only 1 remains. I think this is eBay way of "solving" the problem. I contacted all buyers before they disappeared when the auctions were still live. Some replied and according to 2 of them the account was registered in Poland when they bought and everything went according to plan. |

12 feedbacks as a seller within the past month, all private listings. I wonder how many of those sales also had BTC buyers get hosed off the books?
Good question. eBay will be looking into all of his previous listings apparently, to see if he's accepted payments in BTC before. Of course you can't rule out the possibility of a hacked or sold account. The account is registered since 2013. There's a huge market for ebay seller accounts. Many sellers make them and after a few feedbacks and increase in limits the accounts are sold. Check these forums http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-accounts-sale/. And there are many others. Even here I saw ebay accounts for sale. |

Of course you can't rule out the possibility of a hacked or sold account. The account is registered since 2013. There's a huge market for ebay seller accounts. Many sellers make them and after a few feedbacks and increase in limits the accounts are sold. Check these forums http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-accounts-sale/. And there are many others. Even here I saw ebay accounts for sale. I don't see how ebay account selling can posssibly work since it is associated with a specific name, address, bank account AND credit card. It would be idiotic for someone to sell their own info, so i can't imagine someone sane doing it, unless they sell stolen ebay credentials, but then it is a felony subject to prosecution. |

Fake name. Fake address if it's only for selling or PO Box. Virtual credit card or prepaid credit card. This is commonly known as a stealth account. Besides, I think you can change that information on ebay accounts without any problem. |

Anyone know how to install no-ip (or some other free ddns service) on a SPxx for remote administration?
Don't you need to set NoIP on your router and do some port forwarding from there to you SPxx? I recently setup my home web-server (not on port 80) with no-ip and all I had to do was add a game / application on the router and ensure that the server was running on a static IP (or set the always use this IP if DHCP on router ... though may cause conflicts). I also turned off upnp. The problem is that my router doesn't support no-ip.. Then you'll need to install the No-IP app either on a PC that you keep on all the time you want access to your SPxx or on the SPxx itself (not sure whether they have one, but you can always look on the web for 3rd party solutions, even code!). If you go the former route, aka the official app, then NoIP have a very good starter guide which should make the process trivial. That's what I'm looking for, to install no-ip on the SPxx itself. It would be an easy task on a linux distro like ubuntu or debian, but not sure how to do it on this embedded linux SPT uses.. build instructions - no support. http://docdroid.net/v1k4 |
