1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 26, 2023, 11:22:47 AM
My, oh my! The Inoue fan club seems to be in session! No denying the man's an absolute beast, his punches are like lightning strikes - they're fast, furious and seldom miss! But, let me play the devil's advocate here, shouldn't we be asking ourselves - how will he fare in the 122s? He might be king of the 118s, but this new weight class could be a different beast altogether!

Do we remember Fulton? The man who faced Figueroa's storm and came out on top? If that's not grit, I don't know what is! I'm not saying Inoue isn't good, just that it might not be a cakewalk. And that, my friends, is why I love this sport! It's not just about who throws the hardest punch, but who stands up to them!

You can expect that there are a lot of Inoue fans here because he is a very popular boxer. I'm not underestimating Fulton, though. However, I believe he hasn't faced a boxer with the same power as Inoue. The boxers he has faced and beaten are not top pound-for-pound fighters, so Fulton might be surprised if he underestimates Inoue's skills.

I'm guilty of that as I'm a big fan of Inoue. Although he has defeated most of our boxers in the same division, I cannot help but admire his humility as a boxer. We cannot deny that Inoue is truly popular, not only in Japan and Asia but all over the world. A win here will further enhance his career, and who knows, he might continue to dominate and decide to move up to the higher division and showcase his skills there.
1302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: May 26, 2023, 10:58:46 AM

The unification fight seems weird also since Spence is now the one being inactive and all of a sudden the always-keep-it-safe Al Haymon and Showtime approved this? Or is Crawford willing to sign with PBC and commit himself to Showtime after this fight? Nonetheless, I really really hope that it is for real and Spence won't make any excuses later on.

I won't question the timing anymore. I'm just happy that this new announcement is quite reliable, so let's be optimistic that we will finally see this highly anticipated fight. If Spence isn't active and ends up losing, then it would be his fault, but I'm sure he will train hard as he has more belts at stake in this fight.
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My mistake was making my involvement with Bitcoin public on: May 26, 2023, 08:44:46 AM
I think the news about your achievement with Bitcoin is getting to them haters that's why he is trying to talk you out of it, you said he is the most success in the family? People like that won't want anyone else to take their place as the bread winner of the family, I will be careful with such soul.
It's the way you personally understand it, because from my understanding the uncle made his point through the news he heard from government and also people who trade Bitcoin, sometimes do you know that some primitive people find it difficult to believe on bitcoins, so many of them trust and rely on fiat currency, the uncle is making an emphasis base on what it understand and the kind of information people process to him concerning bitcoin.
And that is wrong and we can't hear good from those who never know about Bitcoin but all are negative and blaming just like what his uncle did to him. His reply is a little bit harsh for me but I understand it was due to his emotions, well, that is exactly what happens when we can't control our emotions as we are talking about what we understand and make him educate as well.

Anyways, it was really hard to gain support from our family in investing in Bitcoin, might there be some but most will disagree. That is why I've preferred to keep it secret rather than get distracted by them.
1304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any point to start trading with 20$? on: May 26, 2023, 06:33:33 AM
I suddenly remembered the 1k to 10k journey of a trader who transparently shares every open and closed position on his Twitter, if everyone forgets this is what I mean. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5410409.0
Just to make the OP more excited that with above average trading skills will be able to achieve significant returns in the expected time.
- then $20 to $2k journey, that can be possible, though.
However, I couldn't find it was too easy for him as it certainly takes a long time to grow $20 and make it bigger. It is actually a good start but OP must plan as well to add more funds to help it grow fast, impatience really have a bad influence and I was afraid he could be in that situation and give up.

Because for me even if it was the minimum amount to trade, I should have to start above the minimum amount in order to fully enjoy trading and learn more.
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trade altcoins during the bull run or just hodl? on: May 25, 2023, 09:23:31 PM
Next year will be my first bull run and have just been thinking about what will be best to do when it finally arrives next year.

Do you plan on just holding till an amount you are happy with or is it a good idea to try and trade altcoins whilst they are pumping to earn even more?
Honestly, the bull season is a great time for trading because this time, the market is so active, heavy buy and sell seems to be one reason why we earn a profit in trading. But for me as a long-term holder, I still choose to hold until the ATH comes and sells them. It really depends on us because if you are a full-time trader, your mindset is to keep on trading but if you are just a holder, what you think also is to hold and sell in the perfect time. Decision come out base of what is your desires and wants in life.
1306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: May 25, 2023, 08:57:17 PM
It's normal that people are lured by greed because they have seen many people can earn a lot of money from crypto, especially from meme tokens, so they also want to try it. But unfortunately, this is not accompanied by a desire to find out more and only follow what influencers suggest so that they will find it difficult to make big profits. If they want more information, they can find hidden gems that can give them an advantage, and they also don't need to rely on other people's advice. For those who don't have enough experience and knowledge about the crypto market, it's okay because they can learn so they can understand it like other people.
That is the reality and people will take every single opportunity when it comes like this. But the question is why not? Besides, it was their decision, and can't deny that many people got it right and sell their meme coins in the right and earn huge amounts. Yes, but for beginners, this strategy seems not ideal for them, it needs to be smart in this kind of investment (hyped). The hyped project will keep on soaring high, gaining more attentions as it was spread more on social media and becomes popular today - meme coins do it.

Also good to watch during live game and try to pick a bet. It adds up extra entertainment and excitement.

That's the beauty of watching the game live, as it allows us to identify potential betting opportunities, particularly when betting on the underdog.

But there's also a negative impact on live betting because, based on my experience, sometimes I get too emotional when betting live, resulting in losing my focus and becoming greedy until I lose my bankroll. I'm sure you guys have also experienced chasing your losses, and most of the time, it does not end well.

That's why it's important to always be careful and maintain discipline. At the end of the day, we gamble to enjoy ourselves, regardless of the outcome.
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: May 25, 2023, 12:34:19 PM

He will be tested again by a real champion. If he struggles against Kambosos, I don't see him having a good chance of winning against a more complete boxer. I believe that Teofimo Lopez is overrated. He gained popularity by beating Loma, but his career is not going well yet. He still needs to prove himself again, and it starts with beating Taylor.

If he can beat some strong fighters with no doubts or controversy, he will be no doubt to be recognized as a really strong boxer but if he continues to struggle in his every fight, I guess your right Lopez is truly an overrated dude who is just there to fool the fans and he is not worthy of any blockbuster fight at all. if he continues to show such performance, he will also lose his value because after all, the fans need some real entertainment and therefore they wanted to watch a skilled boxer that will gonna finish his opponent with a strong knockout power.

He is still entertaining to watch, but that doesn't guarantee a win. Some boxers remain entertaining even in defeat because they are willing to engage in toe-to-toe battles. We have witnessed Lopez's fighting style, and he is far from boring like Haney. What stands out about Lopez is his confidence as a boxer. He truly believes in himself like a great champion.
1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 25, 2023, 12:04:14 PM
1) The possible return of Bay Area Dragons

- I like the idea of having foreign teams again in the PBA as that really brings much tougher competition in the league while giving chances to those low to mid-tier teams the good experience of dealing with a foreign team. I hope, if not conflict with the Dragon's schedule, they can get a chance to participate again in PBA.

I like the idea of the return to the PBA of the Dragons as a guest team or may they add some more teams to serve as guests because last time around, there are a lot of fans watching the game as they saw new faces and new talent live on the floor which is money for the PBA and the most important part is that PBA players will be banging with imports which in return could hone their skills to another level which is beneficial to the PBA players when they are playing in an international competition like FIBA.
This is great news for basketball fans. I'm sure they are still considered the favorites when they play because they are a really talented team with great 3-point shooters and length. Since it's their second time in the PBA, I believe they have made the necessary adjustments and will be ready to seek revenge.

Have not seen the game between SMB and NorthPort Phoenix in their pre-season game but saw the scores and found it interesting that TR7 was playing and scored 20+ points, would this be the start of his comeback bid in the PBA or still he will be riding the bench come opening season?

There's a high probability that he will play as long as he is in good health. SMB needs his minutes on the court because he can provide valuable energy to the team. If they choose not to utilize him, it may be more beneficial to consider trading him.
1310  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start a lending business on: May 25, 2023, 06:47:02 AM
You can be and be a good lender but the problem is for your how to gain trust from lenders as well knowing the status of your account.
Perhaps, you can try and see what will happen but also be sure that you know how to assess someone who asks you to lend because even high-rank members can't be trusted as well.

In this forum, trust is very important but that seems hard to acquire since we never know these people personally.
Think that this kind of business is too risky which is why only a few members offered this service even though they have been here for many years.
1311  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need signal service on: May 25, 2023, 03:35:15 AM
Help me to find out any best telgram signal group. I dont have time for analysis. Just check the signal and trade. Thts all i need for trading crypto. So suggest me some best signal group.
What about trying a tried and tested bot for your trading? You just have to check it occasionally and ensure you are using the appropriate strategy with the market. Have you checked it out as well?

Aside from having no time, have you thought about why you want signal groups?
Having no time is one reason why a trader fails. I'm doubted how these signals work for OP which is in the first place he doesn't have any idea what trading is all about and what these signals can do with him. I've found out that he is really confidence that the signal group will help him reach his target, rather than make losses.

Yeah, I've preferred using a trading bot rather than relying on signals which is more reliable. But the problem is OP doesn't have time to do this and I see that trading doesn't fit for him actually.
1312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin? on: May 24, 2023, 09:48:53 PM
It is the person himself need to analyse and understand why he/she should buy bitcoin. Through the discussion OP could've got different reasons, and finally it is his expectations and the belief based on which he needs to make the buying. When it comes to bitcoin, it serves multiple needs. In all there were chances of making money as well as using it as an alternate.

OP's friend have said he can be ____buying bitcoin. The gap can be filled with rich, poor, frustrated, fail etc. The gap gives a perfect connect when you understand well about bitcoin and follow the market. In each and everything there is need of investment, and the same is with bitcoin. The capital is a must and that can be done buying, next its upto the user whether to hold for long term profit, get into trading for regular earning or prefer it for transaction needs etc.
It is very important that we are able to understand the market and Bitcoin itself as at this time, we already know what is really our main goal in investing in Bitcoin whether it was for a profit generator or just for a currency. Because until now, many people are still confused about what is Bitcoin and so their purpose of being here. But as we can see, though not all, the majority are aiming for a profit and they'll buy despite the high risk because they believe it won't disappoint them in the end. The moment that we have a clear reason why investing in Bitcoin, that would certainly change our insights as well, and never thought about the risk anymore.
1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you decide on a buy price target? on: May 24, 2023, 09:28:11 PM
I've been interested in adding Optimism and ImmutableX to my portfolio but their price has been inflated after big run ups.

Now they are both in freefall and I'm considering an entry point.

How do you decide where to take the plunge?  A certain %drop from the top or a %above bottom?

Or do you just look at previous levels as the traders always mention, Optimism is getting close to some previous tops at $1.3 for example?

Or do you get buy targets from another source?
Buy low and Sell high.
30-40% price drop is actually a good time to buy but we also have to consider the potentiality of the said project as well. It is very important to look further at its previous price trend and make a base of it when to buy. But as I usually did, I just bought when there is a correction happen and sometimes I bought at the moment when it started to recover.

Generally, it really depends on us what is our target price and that also depends on the current situation. It should be analyzed so well and make a decision that we think is right.
1314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: May 24, 2023, 08:26:01 AM

I'm more inclined to a Taylor win so that Lopez will be humbled, arrogant kid with only a fluked win against Loma hehe (sorry to Lopez's fans here).

1315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 24, 2023, 04:31:58 AM
I favored for the Celtics today on the ML and handicap and bet on that 1-3, 6-10, and 11-14 lead for them as I see they will make it and that was at loss having that 17 blowout, wow I never thought that Celtics would made a run in the final quarter. Jayson Tatum is being aggressive and we didn't see this on the recent matches or it's not him that putting the efforts. I don't know if they can pull it again to a game 6 but that's unlikely, the Heat will came up with a win the next game.

Did you win? I think the there's a betting option too for a team to win by 16-20 points, and the odds are definitely high. Jayson Tatum had a good game, but hopefully, it's a wake-up call for him to be aggressive all the time and continue shooting the ball. When he's hot, he's unstoppable. It's a blowout win and a big bounce back because the Heat were able to blow them out in Game 3 with a 26-point lead.
1316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are we expecting from now until Bitcoin halving? on: May 23, 2023, 09:35:42 PM

Are we expecting any more major crashes or should the markets start steadily rising in a few months or so or will that not happen till the end of 2023?
11 Months more to go and we never know yet but based on the past halvings, a price increase comes next and then followed by market corrections due to people selling their coins. Though not really sure about this next year but probably it gonna similar to what happens in the coming days. Perhaps, people are expecting another ATH that is why they are holding their coins waiting for that moment to come.

But whatever happens, we still need to be prepared and make a decision wisely and most of all, we don't have to be greedy, and sell them if there is an opportunity.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: May 23, 2023, 04:34:11 AM
I remembered that I withdrew almost 0.1 BTC and 10,000 Dogecoin through my referral earnings. So yes, you could have earned some money here.

That was the best way of making money without a risk. I couldn't remember how much I earned, but I'm sure it's not as huge as yours. So, is your YouTube channel not active now? What happened?

Personally, I earn when I risk money. With good effort in analyzing the game, I could make a decent amount of money, but only up to my limit because I made sure I would be able to manage the risk and not go beyond it. There's no guaranteed profit in gambling, and compared to investing, I think investing has a lower risk, so it's something I would choose to focus on more than gambling.
1318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 23, 2023, 01:30:18 AM
Good luck, bro. The Lakers don't want to be embarrassed in front of the crowd, but you know the Nuggets are very consistent. Even if the refs are not always in their favor, they keep working hard and sticking to their system. You're right, the Lakers are usually strong in the 1st to 3rd quarters but struggle when it comes to closing the game. So, if the game remains close, we will likely see the Lakers ending their series today.

Lakers have made some decent rotation to give them a better chance, Dennis Schroder getting the start ahead of D'Angelo Russell and also Rui Hachimura who has had some great minutes off the bench in this series for the Lakers also getting the nod ahead of Vanderbilt, I think the Lakers could get a win here, if they managed to retain this line for most of the game and don't get into foul troubles, the early signs have been good so far for them.

The Lakers are leading, and James is off to a great start. However, it's still too early to conclude that the Lakers will win this game. Their lack of consistency throughout the series is the reason they are down 0-3. In order for them to secure a victory, they need an exceptional performance from LeBron James and must find a way to contain the Nuggets' impressive 3-point shooting.

So far, the Lakers have been shooting well from the 3-point area, primarily led by LeBron James. Based on their performance, it seems like they have had a good start and there is a possibility of ending the first half strongly. However, in terms of consistency, it is crucial for them to maintain the same level of intensity in order to secure a victory in the series. On another note, it is worth mentioning that Thompson has already made appearances in this series. It is my first time seeing him in a Lakers uniform.
1319  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market Reaches $27605 - Will the Downtrend Continue?" on: May 22, 2023, 09:38:29 PM
I guess that's how experienced traders are doing right now. They are buying when there are opportunities while the market is falling,
having an idea that the market can bounce back and give them short-term gains.

It's a matter of knowing how to react and how to take the risk when you see good opportunities to buy, instead of selling, it's better to deal with a good' research first.

The decision always relies on how you do your DYOR, as it will bring you the chance to earn decently.
But I guess, many traders are still learning as well and they have a hard time responding right to the situation. Most of them are selling because of worries that it turns down low (cut-loss strategy) which is supposed not to do that. It is very important that a trader must know how to hold as well thinking that the market design isn't consistently growing high, it drops also and even it takes a little bit longer before it recovers. Now, if we just keep using this strategy, we end up losing more.
1320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 22, 2023, 09:09:45 PM
Earning money online is far superior to working at a physical establishment during the day. Although offline is highly appreciated and difficult. Trading is a great approach to find your true self. It will put everything to the test, including your greed, emotions, patience, discipline, how you handle failure, control, common sense, and resolve. I strongly advise anyone who is going through a terrible time in their life to learn to trade since it provides them a clear sense of purpose other than waiting for jobs. So, which is better, online or offline?
Trading can only be profitable if you have the skills and strategies to make it work, but for beginner traders it’s hard to make it superior than offline job since they are more susceptible to losses knowing they only have less knowledge and experience when it comes to trading in a volatile market. So it’s still best to find a stable job and continue to honed their knowledge and skills in trading until they become professionals in it.
Yes, that is the thing we are supposed to do. At that time, we can compare which one gives us a bigger income. While seeing a lot of traders showing their huge income from doing this, unfortunately, countless traders also had suffer big losses as well. That I would say that there is a chance to make more money online like in trading but it was wise also to have an offline job if we can take and carry them working together. And that is what we called -multiple sources of income.
