1301  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Cara memperoleh bitcoin di bitcointalk on: February 02, 2017, 03:53:44 PM

1302  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: February 02, 2017, 03:17:47 PM
we are not expecting any panic selling in near future, i am hopeful that this time the price of bitcoin is going to increase smoothly, and hope that this time the price id going to cross the historical high price of bitcoin and after that we can expect a little bit correction in the market, but the market has to continue growing for next few months.

Bitcoin and people panic selling somehow are closely connected. Reasons being that they either invest with money they can't afford to miss in their personal life, or they simply invest with borrowed money. In both cases people already feel uncomfortable when looking at how volatile the price has been. If people would only stick to investing money they actually have and don't directly need in their personal lives, then it removes a massive amount of weight off people's shoulders. It allows them to trade more comfortably, allows them to (in most cases) avoid making irrational decisions, etc. That's why I am glad the major Chinese exchanges have kissed their margin activities goodbye.

Panic selling will always happen as the temptation of higher price and people don't wanna miss it to make profits if others start to sell out which affects the market price. We will see it as soon as the price hit $1000 level, but depends on how much trading volume in your local exchanges as in my place, the price is lower than the average exchanges rate outside such as Okcoin, coinbase, Itbit, coindesk, bitstamp, etc.
1303  Economy / Speculation / Re: it IS time for rise on: February 02, 2017, 02:02:54 PM
after all the accumulation for a couple of days when price was stable at $910-$918 and also the bottom of the recent correction we are on the move up.

i expect $1000 soon be broken again mostly because of the FOMO that happens after the initial rise, and eventually an stable price above $1000.

what do you think?

Edit: added chart

Nice improvement chart edited, I hope it will come true as soon as possible and based on the current price fluctuations, we may have $1000 floor in this week. Again, I'm wondering about how long it could last as too many daily traders in every country waiting for it, to sell out their coins. $1000 is easy but to hold it steady at this level? Another story. Only investors could make it happen imo.
1304  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Buku : BERBURU BITCOIN - Grasindo on: February 02, 2017, 12:59:09 PM

Paper wallet? Hardware wallet?
1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos on: February 02, 2017, 08:23:55 AM
Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right place to start a topic but I really want some answers and it's connected to gambling in a way. I'm thinking about picking a casino and investing in it, so that I can have some small income every month (if everything goes okay). What I wanted to ask is if that is possible to see the information about casinos' income per day or month for now or is it private information nobod really gives that easily? And do you think investing in casino is a good idea, by the way? Thank you.
Yes, this is the right place to ask, and this question has been asked many times.
Investing as casinos bankroll is a good option to get nice profits every week/month depending on how much income they get.
You may check this thread for more information : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1585408.0
However, not only gambling sites offering investment, such as https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1607623.0
You can ask the sites about how to invest and how much their profits, but do your own research which one of the sites to put your money into.
1306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Crash ? on: February 01, 2017, 03:36:55 PM
Well,

BTC hasn't hold 900$ . It's not a good for BTC holder , and a clear bear signal should came if price will go under 850. If so, we could expect a fist round near 820 and then a test at 800$ area. If doesn't hold 800$, we could see new montly low. Only after 900$ we could say that market trend is bull again.
Bitcoin has been pumping for 2 days which rise from $900 to $960 right now and it seems more steady even if daily traders sell out their coins. They may loss because it will continue to increase until reach $1000 floor again. We have good news lately about US and China investors, hopefully it could last for months and more adopters/merchants join the market.
1307  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [ASK] Pendapatan Bitcoin Per Bulan ? on: February 01, 2017, 02:17:08 PM
ndk menentu sih, kadang dapet banyak kadang sedikit, kalo lagi joki malah dpet 0.4 per harinya

1308  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the economy situation in your country that bad? on: February 01, 2017, 11:58:33 AM
If I have to judge from 1-10, it's 5 in my country, an average number I think. There are a lot of the poor and unemployment people, the poverty alleviation can't ever be done as long as there are too many corruption in every level of government.
How prosperous a country/city measured by citizens income per capita, mostly case in second world countries, the number of that is very low. I can say, we can live just enough for everyday but I need more than an effort to rise up.
1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: January 30, 2017, 08:22:10 PM
When do you stop? Do you have a daily limit or something?
As long as someone not addicted to gambling, he should know when to stop. I don't gamble everyday and always limit my bankroll for gambling everytime I'm going into. Usually, I just bet on 1/2 games and whenever I could manage to get profits, then I stop. If I lose those games and nothing left to play with, it's time to stop and come back another day.
1310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: January 30, 2017, 03:57:18 PM
I still can't find the western union coin on any exchange.  How many BTC is it worth?  Is it publicly or privately issued?  There must be some comparison here, a lot of people have opinions on it, yet I can't find the thing.

You can't be serious, right? In case you are in fact serious, no, it's not an altcoin, so stop browing through exchanges. Western union is a fiat based money transfer service. Just use Google and you'll find out.

OK so how can we compare a money transfer company to a peer-to-peer decentralized currency?

I mean, western union could also transfer bitcoins if they chose.  The comparison is like saying what's better: fruit or wall-mart?

Not mean to be rude but where have you been all this time man, do you know about PayPal?
Check on Google " Western Union?", It will show you all information about it.
WU is not a coin obviously, it is a remittance service all over the world but handle fiat transaction (send-receive money) read about it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Union
What we compare is how many value of money/equal to bitcoin in global transaction.
What makes bitcoin better is the low fees of bitcoin compare to higher fees to use WU service.
1311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices could leap to $2000 in 2017? on: January 30, 2017, 03:36:19 PM
Someone's posted an article referencing this in the Press subforum, so you can discuss the article itself there.  I also wouldn't be surprised if someone was discussing the same thing on the Speculation board as well, which is where all the price-related chat should be going.  [/backseatmod]
Just read the article and purely speculation because Trump reign, but every speculation lead to another clue that might be causing the increasing to reach $2000 in this year. I've predicted that bitcoin will reach the price ($2k) in the end of the year as the few last years, the price chart always shows the same fluctuations, but even $1500 is good for bitcoiners. Remind me about the bull run pass through $1157 then fall and how bitcoin slowly recovering to $900's right now and it seems hardly to reach even  $950, only time will tell when the price get back to $1000.
1312  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: January 30, 2017, 02:56:08 PM
I am positive.Digital currency industry will grow, whatever some people want that or dont want.Cinise regulators want to make order with trading that is all.Imagine Eleonor Musk wants to deliver free internet to 70% population of the globe, now big problem is good quality internet limitation

This is one of the important aspects of development. There are many parts of the world where there is limited or no connectivity at all so people living in such isolated parts are usually unaware of the latest developments and it leads to the imbalance of user base. I am sure once we have sustainable internet (connectivity) throughout the world then the pace of awareness and development would be much higher than that of today.
For now, first world countries that plays an important role for the progress of bitcoin as the the current supply of bitcoins on the network hold on their wallets, every movement will affect to the price. When the free internet deliver to 70% population of the world, we should have more adopters but the problem is : only big whales that could buy decent amount of bitcoin and average people just trying to buy a bit, it also risk for them if the price suddenly drop. I know that bitcoin price increasing is inevitable as the advantages of bitcoin will realized by mostly people who learn about it.
1313  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: January 30, 2017, 01:50:33 PM
For now, I don't think you could, unless if you have like $999.999 USD and buy bitcoin, which not many people have it.
Although, it's a bad behavior that impact to the market price and the reason why we can't move to reach ATH, the last time we were at $1100 and fall to $700, we need a real bitcoiners to join the community and give positive impact to bitcoin environment.
As you said, holding bitcoin for a long time could be a good way but not just to make money instead of direct spending to merchants.
1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum] UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform|On Coindesk & Bitcoinmagazine on: January 30, 2017, 11:19:34 AM
I'm sorry but still read and learning about Qtum project. Too much to read all of those posts above and I'm thinking about :
From an article (https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/qtum-connecting-blockchain-technology-with-the-commercial-world-1484145776/)
“Qtum is a global project that aims to connect the existing Bitcoin and Ethereum communities with businesses"
This is mean bitcoin and ethereum connect to what kind of business? What the difference between what is it now, already connected to some business. What makes it different and better?
What I get, Qtum is a hybrid digital currency which combines between bitcoin and ethereum technology.
The most interesting part is "We plan to build Quantum applications that integrate into the popular messaging platforms like: Wechat, WhatsApp, Viber, and so forth.  We call this the Qtum “Go Mobile” strategy."
Easier to know and use it as people already familiar with those application.
1315  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is everything so silent these days around here? on: January 30, 2017, 09:42:05 AM
with all the volatility in price that we seen in the past couple of weeks it is good to see some silence, but is there any reason for it?
Everyone's afraid it's turning out to be another 2014. I.E., btc price goes up a bit or seems to be steady, then it drop 20+, rinse and repeat. You should be afraid, very afraid. There's a strong potential it will lose 80% of its value; there's a weak potential it will go to 1200 this year. I guess, no risk, no reward.
To prevent another big dump activities I thought, but it is better to have few days of steady price for now.
We have seen in every bit increase ($10-20) people will sell again cause the price decline.
I guess the trading will keep on low volume at least until next month, or we will facing another crash from impatient users.
That's not bad at all, because others will buy more bitcoin, the cycle always be the same.
1316  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase? on: January 30, 2017, 08:32:41 AM
Since i see many people only care or focus about bitcoin price and they say it's good for bitcoin future. But, of course we know bitcoin is a currency and we need people who use/accept bitcoin as currency.

So, Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase?
Of course, we're NOT talking huge price increase because mass adoption.
Mostly will answer mass adoption because the price will affected and automatically increase,,
We know that, huge price increase cause people sell out again, so better to have slowly increases, step by step and even big whales will manipulate market price, won't affected so badly. Stop giving them what they want by panic sell, at least mass adoption will lead to more stable price.
1317  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: January 29, 2017, 11:59:10 PM
It will be different for everyone, I prefer to invest than trading as I have no idea and not learn about it yet.
What kind of investment which will be matter to get profits instead of loss. Do not fall to some sites offering easy money and ended as scam. It's better to patient and invest in real life as you can see and responsible for every decision to get profits.
1318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: January 29, 2017, 11:39:33 PM
Actually i never saw a man, who has rich from Gambling?
I m not playing gambling because i saw a lot of people who has lost everything in gambling.
So i want to ask if anyone is here how has rich from GAMBLING ??
Neither do I, but I know some gamblers get nice profits every month as I ever ask and see how is it possible to them.
Expert gamblers in my opinion, rare but they are here, check on gambling sites. We know that the house ever loss, so they need big bankroll to cover it. Have you ever seen tipster competition on directbet? They must be know how to beat the house and make profits, that's why the competition held in the first place.
1319  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious on: January 29, 2017, 10:47:30 PM
At the low of an investment, everyone is pessimistic and vowing to never "buy that shit". They panic or attrition capitulate to go massively short and sell irrationally.

This also seems to be the case on the way back up, especially a frustrating, meandering slow rise (after that $10 to $1000 moonshot in 2013 which is what everyone is lusting for), as pessimism causes people to find any excuse to give as to why "that shit still isn't ready for prime time":

Consider all the flaws in bitcoin at protocol level.

Bitcoin does not scale!
Bitcoin is not anonymous!
Bitcoin is a privacy risk!
Bitcoin is too slow for real world applications!
Bitcoin does not allow much more than just fake fantasy money unlike many smart dynamic blockchains!
Bitcoin is mostly owned and controlled by a hand full of people!
Bitcoin makes you suspect of illegal activities!

With few exceptions, the same can be said about fiat currencies. Wink

Several crypto investors have complained to me about the (miners) wrangling over Blockstream's changes to Bitcoin, and even the potential technical clusterfuck of Lightning Networks.

This to me is indicative of the time to buy with both fists. As I wrote:

Classic triangle pattern forming if you look back at the last big august correction. Then we had another correction, a weaker one, and now, another weaker one. Increasingly weaker corrections with an overall uprising price: breakout incoming. Last chance for the idiots still doubting to buy to get in now or never.

r0ach or anyone, do you have any analysis you can share on the likely direction of the BTC price between now and December?

I had written in your blog last month that this looks like a pause on the way for probably all time highs, given a cpu&handle at $700 [actually high $700s]. What are you seeing in your current analysis?

Don't worry about whether Bitcoin is perfected yet. It is just time for it to go back to ATHs because there are finally major upgrades on the way. Buy rumor, then sell the news. Meaning you are buying the fact that crypto is progressing and not sell because of the realization it isn't perfect yet. The problems of crypto will get worked out over time via competition from altcoins and Bitcoin. Right now, the smart (early mover) money is selling altcoins to buy Bitcoin in anticipation of the big move up which appears to probably be finally upon us.

Then at ATHs next year, they will be selling BTC to buy into altcoins for the next wave of 10 - 100X gains on the serious altcoins.

Learn how the smart money is getting rich in crypto (trading between BTC and altcoins, and buying serious altcoin ICOs and holding for the 10X price rise). You need to first toss out your emotions and learn to think rationally.

Also on the macroeconomic front, the USA election (ditto BREXIT and Duterte's election in the Philippines) is destabilizing the world (regardless who wins, but a Trump victory is very likely for those read Drudge Report on polls and not the liar MSM). And Europe is nearing the end of its rope to "pretend and extend" on its horrific debt crisis (actually socialism/welfare/ideological clusterfuck). Martin Armstrong's correct theme has been the dollar as the reserve currency (and other highly liquid safe havens, e.g. Bitcoin and perhaps not gold) would rise as the world descended into the Sovereign Debt Crisis. Gold will likely rise more later as a hedge against government, when liquidity has been forsaken for survival. First the world moves to liquidity, later to panic.

The dollar has been rising against every fiat currency since roughly 2013 and in many cases since 2011 when gold peaked.

So far I haven't seen that a strong dollar is anti-correlated to BTC price, although afaik we do see that anti-correlation with gold.
As we divide into some groups and not all of us have faith in bitcoin, so whenever bitcoin price  decline, they fall to panic sell.
Even if daily traders like to buy and sell, but if the price decreases, they will buy and wait to sell again at higher price.
The cycle always going like that everytime before we really have big market cap and liquidity in order to prevent manipulation.
1320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question; Bitcoin Payment on: January 29, 2017, 08:34:26 AM
Hey everyone,

Is there any company/startup outside that customers can pay for your product from the normal way(Credit Card, Paypal and other normal payment methods) and I can receive the payment as Bitcoin.

A lot of customers prefer traditional way to pay and when I say, "why don't you use Bitcoin? You can go to "x" website and buy some bitcoins" but you know, since they don't know anything about Bitcoin, they get scared or lazy and they don't do it.
In my country there is a bitcoin company with exchanger business field and bitcoin wallet at once. They do cooperation with local business to manage their payment of they product with bitcoin.
So the customer can pay with transfer money, and the business owner get the bitcoin vice versa.
And where is your country? What kind of local business? What the name of this exchange, link? Seems interesting information about bitcoin payment. But, as far as I know there is no such company cooperate with conventional banks (credit card) or PayPal to easily convert/transaction using bitcoin. This may a great idea to implement but need a trusted platform.
