I don't know about it Bitcointalk Owner and Bitcoin owner is the same you have any Source link Brother?
Bitcointalk is now controlled by theymos. Bitcoin has no owner. Bitcoin isn't like a company which is owned by someone or a group of people. Bitcoin is a trustless and decentralized payment system and no one has control over it. Satoshi who created bitcoin, created forum.bitcoin.org as a place for discussion about bitcoin. In August 2011, theymos moved the forum from forum.bitcoin.org to bitcointalk.org.

Thx guys, from my understanding... they are 2 separate wallets with the same seed.
As already said above, two wallets that have the same seed phrase (assuming there is no passphrase) are the same wallets. You can create different wallets with a single seed phrase only if the seed phrase is BIP39 and you use different derivation paths. Is your seed phrase BIP39 or you have generated your seed phrase in electrum itself? Do you remember how you generated your seed phrase? Again, it doesn't matter what was the wallet name and what was the password.

|
|
If two wallets have the same seed phrase, they are the same wallets with exactly same addresses, unless you have extended one of the seed phrases with a passphrase. Did you add any passphrase when creating the wallet? If no, you actually have only one wallet.
Note that the wallet name doesn't matter at all. When you recover your wallet using your seed phrase, you can choose any name you want.

As we all know BITCOIN mining will stop once the 21 million mark is reached.
Take note that it's not that miners will stop their work once all bitcoins are mined. Currently, miners get the newly generated coins and the transaction fees. At that time, miners will still get the transaction fees. Why it is not possible to mine the remaining BITCOINS before 2140 when the 19 millions mined in just over 10 years?
That's how bitcoin is designed. The initial block reward was 50 BTC and it's halved every 210,000 blocks. It may worth mentioning that the total supply of bitcoin will be exactly 20,999,999.9769 BTC.

Better look up addresses one by one or import the extended pupbic key into Electrum and create a watching-only wallet to monitor your transactions and balance.
I don't see a big difference between entering your master public key on a block explorer and creating a watch-only wallet with your master public key on electrum, unless you run your own server on electrum. If you don't run your own server on electrum, you have to connect to a server and your privacy is still compromised.

The problem is blockchain.com browser doesnt even allow me to receive SOL. Thus it doesnt show the balance of it.
You have received the 9.7 SOL. Click here to see the receiving transaction on solscan and here to see your balance. Just because you don't see your balance on blockchain.com doesn't mean you haven't received the fund. Note that blockchain.com explorer has no control over the blockchain and they can't stop you from receiving fund. I don't have any information about solana blockchain and defi, but it seems that their wallet is showing the correct balance. In the image you shared above, it's displaying the total balance of 9.69999 SOL.

I worry about using a harware wallet and once I need to sell the hardware fails. Flashdrives have failed. A non custodial wallet I can restore, can I restore a hardware wallet refusing to connect?
Your hardware wallet gives you a seed phrase (a series of 12-24 words). You can import that seed phrase to a new hardware wallet or a non-custodial wallet and access your fund. Note that all your private keys are derived from your seed phrase and that's all you need for recovering your wallet.
|
|
|
I am not sure, but I think most hardware wallets should work for a long time, probably more than 10 years. I haven't ever heard of any hardware wallet no longer working. What are you worry about? If you worry about your fund being lost, take note that you can recover your wallet at any time using your seed phrase. Edit: I just found an old topic discussing about the lifespan of hardware wallets. It may be helpful to you. How long is the lifespan of the hardware wallet?

That's because scams are not moderated in the forum. It's not possible for admins and moderators to check the projects one by one to see whether they are scam or not. If users are banned due to being a scammer, then many people will (wrongly) think that anyone who runs a business and hasn't been banned is a trustworthy user.

Why only put 21 million units in the source code?
Take note that there is no "21 millions" in bitcoin source code. Satoshi set the initial block reward to 50 BTC and decided that bitcoin block reward is halved every 210,000 blocks. This makes the total supply approximately 21 millions. The exact supply of bitcoin is 20,999,999.9769 BTC.

But it will eventually get confirmed.
There is no guarantee that the transaction in question will be finally confirmed. OP's transaction is now around 200 vMB from the tip and there's a big possibility that it won't be confirmed in the next 14 days and will be dropped from nodes mempool. It's even possible that nodes remove that transaction from their mempool earlier due to reaching their size limit.

For example, I want to search the term ''moderator'' but only for topics I created, that means all other topic from other members would be excluded from results.
Not possible, unfortunately. I don't which posts are topics before February 2023 (when I started tracking new topics). As the title of replies start with Re:, you should be able to exclude them with adding -"Re:" to "Post title" field. dkbit98 should be able to see the topics that have been made by him and include the word "moderator" in the title using this link. This method may not be 100% accurate, because the poster can edit the title and remove the Re: from reply's title.

Yes OK, thanks for clarifying... the wallet with passphrase is independent... still accessible even if the wallet without passphrase is recovered/stolen.
Right. Take note that you should move the fund from that wallet to a new wallet with a new seed phrase as soon as possible. With your seed phrase being compromised, your wallet isn't as secure as before, especially if you have used a weak passphrase. It's possible that the thief can brute-force the passphrase and access the fund.

... so he would recover the non-passphrase wallet, but by doing so, it does not mean the passphrase wallet is now inaccessible to the victim ( who still knows the passphrase + 24 words )
Take note that the two wallets (the one without passphrase and the one with passphrase) are two different wallets with completely different addresses. Anything that happens to each of these wallets doesn't affect the other wallet. Someone who has access to your seed phrase and doesn't know the passphrase can't have access to the wallet that is protected with a passphrase. You will be able to import your seed phrase and the passphrase in another wallet and access the fund.

I do not see my wallet address in the addresses list. (that's what I'm looking for, right?) There are 20 of them labeled "receiving" and 10 labeled "change". I have gone through the 10 server nodes listed, all circles come up green and nothing changes.
If you don't see that address, it means that it doesn't belong to this wallet. Are you sure that's the only wallet you generated on electrum? Didn't you generate multiple wallets? Click on "File" at top of the window and check if you have any other wallet.

Nothing in addresses. Command returned "Traceback"
You probably didn't enter the command correctly. With using the command mentioned by OmegaStarScream above, you should get either True or False. True means that the address is yours and False means that it's not yours. To check if an address belongs to your wallet, you can also go to "Addresses" tab and see if the address is there. (If you don't see "Addresses" tab, click on "View" at top of the window and select and "Show addresses".)

When he showed his phone, there were already 15 confirmations, but from my end, the payment had not yet arrived in my wallet; it took almost 10 hours to arrive in my wallet.
This is not possible, unless your wallet wasn't synced to the blockchain or you used a custodial service which credited your balance with some delay. Your (non-custodial) wallet should display the balance once the receiving transaction gets its first confirmation. Some wallets like electrum display the receiving transaction and the balance even if it doesn't have any confirmation. (Electrum even allow you to spend the unconfirmed coins.)
