To be honest I think the alt community needs to focus on the coins that can really bring something to the table instead of running to the latest clone thinking it will make them rich. But human nature is such unfortunately.

I think Rob is working on the new color scheme now so we should have something new soon, I agree the current one is not so good. Just got into Gridcoin, I love the idea behind it, doing something useful with all this CPU power opposed to just wasting it - good idea! The wallet colour scheme on the other hand makes my eyes bleed  Can we have a normal (non-black) colour scheme pretty please? I mean lime green fonts on light grey background? |

That is because it contains cgminer, it is not a virus. FYI:
The link for Gridcoin.zip on OP is broken while Gridcoin.msi is flagged by Antivirus as malicious.

Yep we are listed on coinmarketcap. Hey guys! All people are worried about mining, but as important as mining is to find market to this coin. In last days there has been a huge investment in the cryptocoin market and we need to join efforts for our coin to follow this tendency, since until now there was no valorization. There is some aspects that need a urgent change, a few examples:
- Both the official sites and main pages of forum must be periodically updated. Some important information is missing: all sites where the coin is exchanged, the twitter and facebook pages, vote pages to add the coin to a new exchange.
- The first and the second sites should be merged. Alternatively, It there should be a link from one to other. The first site should contain more information.
- The Logo should be updated in coinmarketcap.com
agreed.. tighten up things.. maybe bring in some help if its too much work too ? This is a REAL Altcoin and is in 1000 leagues ahead of crappy clone coins posted hourly by shadowy scammers. didn't know it was on coinmarketcap either.. i don't go there anymore these days |

I agree, I think Rob is a little overburdened right now with development of Gridcoin client, I can rearrange the first page of this thread with all the new relevant information very well, but I am not sure if it is possible unless it is done from Rob's account. If we have anything else that needs edited, send me a concise list and I will edit the page. I'm looking for a person who may want to create a FAQ list so that we can post on the FAQ page on Gridcoin.us. Regarding consolidating sites, I am already working with Aysyr on that. I could do that. Has anyone managed to get gridcoin working on windows thin pc? (Official thin version of windows 7). The issue i'm having is that the gridcoin wallet is saying there is an md5 error in reading the boinc md5. Is there a work around for this? Are there any windows service dependancies for gridcoin? And are there any pre-requisites other than .net 4.5? Cheers  edit: Any chance you could begin to tweet the gridcoin updates as they are released to stop forking of the network? Cheers : ) |

Damn, Poloniex got hacked too. It is good Gridcoin is on several exchanges now.
Crypto needs a decentralized exchange so badly.

Distributed exchanges are the way to go. Every exchange is under constant attack on a daily basis. We need a decentralized exchange for crypto, that is the only way.
