1361  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Before contributing, learn from others as a newbie on: July 12, 2023, 05:53:06 AM
We cannot shut down a suggestion if it's still a major problem on the forum. Just like the advice to switch to Dex which is made very commonly here; it remains relevant cause many users are still using centralized exchanges and worse, storing their funds in them.
The forum is always open for suggestions repeating the same thing in different ways is kind of irritating . Using a centralized exchange is not the issue but a choice. Storing funds on a CEX is a concern whn the forum has been continuously discussing about the cons. This proble will continue unless one of them lose funds and comes here for a solution. The problem is unless shit happens with someone personally they are least bothered.
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 12, 2023, 05:43:35 AM
They're making money through staking, lock in centralized site, buy shitcoins, trading, or invest in Bitcoin, not through gambling. If someone try to make money in gambling, they must be suffer losses and it will make them to learn if gambling isn't for making money.
To be fair, the methods that you mentioned aren't foolproof either though it's possible to earn steadily from them when compared to gambling where everything is way, way more unpredictable in comparison.
All of these methods require experience, knowledge and intelligence in carrying out analysis, except for gambling, because in gambling, only luck determines how you can win.
For those who are experienced, I believe they will prefer to trade and invest to be able to make more definite profits and only use gambling as a place to seek entertainment.
But unfortunately not a few people also use gambling as a place to make money even though they are aware that there are risks that will always come at any time and to beat the house edge is impossible.

I haven't seen a lot of people making tons of money through by getting lucky while gambling. To earn money you need to work hard and hard work nevel fails anyone. Gambling cannot be considered as a source of income, it is a source of entertainment. You can only earn money when you learn those skills that you wrote and work hard on achieving your goal. When you get bored do something that you love or gamble online.
1363  Local / India / Re: Which CEX to trade now after Kucoin new KYC requirment? on: July 12, 2023, 05:33:25 AM
I would say it is indeed risky to hold significant funds in non-KYC CEX if that is still a thing as we never know when they can freeze our funds and even if they do without any legit reasons, we can never claim the funds through legal proceedings and should write them off from our accounts. Kucoin had been notorious in the past when $150m was drained through a hack and the same goes with Okex as well.

If we are unwilling to pay the surplus tax levied by the Indian Government then it would be better to register in an exchange which is working outside the jurisdiction of our government and had nil ties with our government in the past. International exchanges such as Kraken, Binance and Coinbase had been loyal and trustworthy to their users and went to greater extent to protect their users thereby opposing the governments too.

In such a case, it is safer to provide KYC in these exchanges and in turn trade multi chain transfers at an enormously lower fees while comparing it to DEXes. Furthermore, we can use mixers to anonymize our transactions and try to prevent our government from tracking us.

Non KYC centralized exchange are risky but they do come handy when trading is your main source of income. In the past and in present their have been instances when a good project uses these exchanges to get listed, rather than a big exchange. That is why traders used to have accounts on exchanges like Kucoin, huobi and others in the past. As KYC becomes mandatory not every trader is happy to provide personal details to these exchanges. That can be one of reason why still people are searching for non KYC CEX.

About Coinbase, they have stopped thier operation in India as of now. A few days back Indian users were sent emails informing their accounts have been closed with a wiered reason.
1364  Local / India / Re: Which CEX to trade now after Kucoin new KYC requirment? on: July 11, 2023, 06:28:28 AM
I had the same thought when this thread was created as Huobi Global used to allow trading without KYC for up to 2 BTC earlier. The fact now is that you would need to pass KYC for any deposit or withdrawal on their platform. These a genuine and trustworthy CEX and they would need to comply with local laws if they need to operate. Most exchanges that offer non-KYC trading are DEX, most of them are nothing but swapping platforms and are not meant for proper trading. For proper trading, you would need CEX which cannot operate without a KYC policy.
1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: July 11, 2023, 06:00:40 AM
It is also important to identify which kind of person you are and then act accordingly, there are people out there that due to their personalities have a higher chance of developing some sort of addiction, and if you notice you have some of those characteristics then it is important to be incredibly careful with the activities which are known to cause an addiction, like alcohol and drugs, however this will require an honest assessment of our own characteristics, something that is really difficult for most people to do.

It is hard to self asses a personality, you would need professional help for that. Not everyone is happy to spend money on such an issue as everyone thinks they are better than others. Therefore you cannot expect an honest assessment of it and none of us would think we have a bad habit. I am not a psychologist or a subject matter expert but I think it is common sense. What we can do is judge ourselves through the eyes of others without them knowing about it. If your friends want to stay away from you then it is a matter of concern and then we can work around our personality. If you are lying to hide your addiction then it is a big concern and it needs your complete attention.
1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: July 11, 2023, 05:51:47 AM
That's right and the assumption of having large capital will always be there, especially if he wants to earn $ 100 daily. It requires big capital and there's no guarantee he can win that big, let alone every day. He needs to pay attention to this to realize that the gambling game will not always guarantee making money and that reaching a target of $ 100 daily is not easy. So even though he uses large capital, it is not certain that he can win a lot of money, especially to reach that target every day. That was because one never knew when his luck would strike so it was better to just forget about hitting such high targets.

With a large capital, there is a chance that he can make it big in one go which can equate to $100 every day. It is still risky to go all in if he plays a skill game as you would still need some luck in your favour. If I was in his place I would have used my money to generate small income through sports betting every day. If I would have won I would have again reinvested most of my bank roll in a systematic manner. After 15 days I would calculate whether I am making any profits or not and then decide. It is not possible to generate profit every day but it is possible to generate profit after betting regularly in 15 or 30 days.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: July 11, 2023, 05:44:15 AM
When I was new to Bitcoin there were a few times where I lost my entire balance due to Martingale strategy. When you first start out and you go several minutes without losing it feels amazing. It feels like a perfect strategy until you hit a losing streak and everything is gone. When you are acting greedy you tend to ignore reason and don't think about how severe your losses can be. I don't make such foolish mistakes anymore but occasionally I'll mess up by doing something like betting 50,000 sats instead of 5,000 and it can ruin your mood for a while if the bet doesn't turn out in your favor.

Messing up with the zeros happens to everyone, you are not the only one who messes up. When you are winning the excitement and the adrenaline makes you believe that the next bet will also be in your favor. If it goes on for some time you would feel that today is your day and like a fool, you will make the big mistake of going all in. That's when you lose and then the frustration kicks in with the belief that another deposit will counter your loss. Until you realize that it is gambling and you were only playing for fun.
1368  Local / India / Re: CBDC/eRuppe wallet is currently being tested! on: July 10, 2023, 06:21:37 AM
I wonder if the major populous will ever catch on to the central banking scammers. Or its Titanic all over again. This time for countries

Indian population is so big that if a handful of few like us understand what is the motive behind all of this new financial technology, it won't affect the government. The majority will still follow the government policy without even questioning the reason. We Indians do not have any issues with any government policy until the policy becomes a problem for us individually. The best example is the cryptocurrency tax which has resulted in so many issues this year. Before that none of us had any issues with the tax, even though they were never friendly for the middle class.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: July 10, 2023, 06:14:42 AM
Why would anyone play more on a Bitcoin casino when the law of the land is planning to ban Bitcoin? In such a situation, it is better to keep holding them in a non-custodial wallet until the government changes the decision or you find another way to continue gambling. I do not agree with going against the law as if caught it will cause serious repercussions to you and your family. If you still want to gamble then use local fiat on an online casino to feed your addiction. I would not want to take in stupid risk and destroy my present, I will always find alternate ways to continue with what I was doing before the ban.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: July 10, 2023, 06:08:35 AM
A person who's spending his whole salary in gambling is likely an addict indeed. Because if you're just playing to kill time, you'll not spend a significant amount just to sustain this habit. Well, we know it's hard to earn money nowadays plus almost everything is expensive due to inflation. What i'm trying to say is, we need to prioritize the essential things before thinking of leisure time. Gambling is really entertaining and can give us excitement especially if we win. However if you know that you can't follow the set limit because of temptation, then don't ever try to gamble regardless of your reasons on why you want to play. Because even we always say to have a self-control when you're playing, we can't deny that many gamblers can't follow it, easy to be said than done as they say. Well for me it depends on what type of gambler you are because there are still gamblers who are not letting gambling to affect them negatively.
You are talking about an addict who is spending everything he earns on gambling and then you want them to work on self control. Social gamblers whom we consider nonaddicts, who we also feel as those gambling for entertainment are the ones who eventually become addicted to gambling later on. Self control is not as easy as it sounds, it comes with a lot of discipline and a sound state of mind. In today's time, it is hard to have a sound state of mind with all the wrong things happening around everyone.

you can tell a person has sunken into his gambling vices if he has already done crimes like that grandpa who kidnapped a kid for ransom. it's probably not his first, he must have stolen lots before this like jewelry or so. it can be hard for this old dog to stop gambling as he is addicted. even in prison, he will still gamble that's for sure.

hard for someone to resist when he has money and can easily access a platform gamble. he doesn't just need community support but things to get busy about.

You are correct before committing such a henious crime this grandpa might have committed others which never came out in public. That is what chronic addicts do and since he was not caught previously he thought this time too he will walk away with this crime. Old man got overconfident and now will rot in jail for this crime.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: July 07, 2023, 11:00:07 AM

Yes you are mate, we must gamble for fun only and not have the mindset that we can earn daily a big amount of money because in the world of gambling we can not predict the outcome of our every  bet. Sometimes we will win and sometimes we will loss. So it's better to aim happiness than profit. Here in in my country some gambler loss big amount of money because they are aiming profit. Once they put a bet they will mind that they will win and if they loss then they will double or triple their bet.
Those who gamble daily are addicts and don't gamble for fun. You will find them more than those you are talking about. Gambling is entertainment but when it becomes addiction the gambler himself won't be able to recognise this issue. Everyone starts for fun, adrenaline rush, excitement and passing time then when they start losing they become agitated and want to get the money that they lost. This is where the problem starts. If anyone is able to cope with that problem then they become social gamblers. That is what everyone needs to do.

Welcome to the forum! Crete a stunning ANN thread with all the important information about your platform. Rather writing a one liner, it doesn't make a good impression about your project to the forum members. Since your forum rank is newbie many members will avoid registering to your platform or give it a visit. 1375  Local / India / Re: CBDC/eRuppe wallet is currently being tested! on: July 07, 2023, 07:25:24 AM
I saw this apparently they are linked up with ICICI Bank and require verification from there.

Has anyone tried this ? Whats the adv of testing it out ?

I haven't tried it till now but as I mentioned earlier their is a full video on YouTube about it by LLA. They did connect their wallet to their ICICI bank account and did a few transactions to demonstrate how it works. At the moment it will only work when someone has that wallet installed and active on their device. It is still in trial basis cannot quote any advantage for now, you can apply and give it a try if you want to use it.

Unless they are going to gve some airdrop or something why would I help the central banksters steal more money and track people via cbdc?

Airdrop! RBI! Grin
Don't worry they will slowly push it into the system and you would be compel to use it. Already RBI has started it work of expanding it globally prior to its launch. They trying to outplay digital Yuan with digital rupee and something big is going to happen that is for sure. Let's wait and watch in the meantime
1376  Local / Mining (India) / Re: is it profitable to mine in India ? on: July 07, 2023, 06:50:50 AM
try this: https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator

u can take a guess based on the device ur hoping to buy..

but u also have to take into consideration the electricity costs and other expenses that u might incur..

i did some research some time back and didn't find it to be profitable but i only wanted to mine btc mind u.

BTC is not profitable at all in current times, only big institution can mine it. If you can afford to spend about 3 lacs then with one Antminer L7 and Solar electric supply you can get back your investment in six month with nicehash mining. Do remember your miner should mine 24/7 in this period. I have been doing research on the solar electric and found the central government does have scheme which make it cheaper to buy and install. You can visit this website for more information: https://solarrooftop.gov.in/rooftop_calculator

1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UAE now a pro-Bitcoin mining destination in the Middle East on: July 06, 2023, 11:01:54 AM
If UAE is now involved then you can say that crypto is going to some huge development now compared to the past few years. Let's just hope that they will gonna become crypto-friendly forever because that kind of nation can support the whole crypto miners all around the world with only itself. After the miners are always banished from other countries that they thought they gonna be their home, they can put their trust in UAE because this is a country where they don't just quickly change their minds after they made such huge decisions as this one.
There are other countries which are also friendly to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. Hongkong has recently started attracting large investors and founders. Singapore has been doing it for quite sometime now. What I find interesting with this news is the UAE might become the only friendly country for the Bitcoin miners in the whole of middle east.

I don't think they would banish the miners later on because they are a very ambitious country otherwise why would they open Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) before announcing this news. They have a complete strategy in place and abundant of green energy for the miners.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: July 06, 2023, 09:36:21 AM
Maybe we have consciously never visited gambling or forex sites, but we don't know that our family who live in the same house use the same internet wifi, maybe they have clicked on forex ads or gambling sites, so it is certain that you will also be flooded with advertisements for both. this is only based on my experience, the rest is looking for ways to avoid annoying ads, I usually use the free Brave browser without any ads.  Wink
What you said is possible, someone within the family might have accidentally clicked on one of those ads. Once clicked, they keep bombarding especially on social platforms from Meta. YouTube doesn't make life as hell like those platforms do with advertisements. Brave is a good browser, but adblock doesn't work when using a mobile device. The ads keep coming and coming on those apps; sometimes rebooting the phone works in my favor.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: July 06, 2023, 08:50:38 AM
Besides gambling platforms, Forex trading platforms are now being promoted more through YouTube. Now people spend most of their free time on video streaming platforms and that's why video streaming platforms like YouTube are used as a good medium for various product and service promotion and it is very effective. And gambling sites also benefit from this because they get a lot of gamblers from there
I do not get bombarded by gambling ads, but sometimes I get bombarded by forex ads, which makes me angry. The reason being that I have no idea about forex trading and neither have I searched for this scam on YouTube. As I was getting annoyed with those advertisements, I did a Google search and found out that sometimes ads are also location-specific. That might be another reason why irrelevant ads suddenly start showing up on YouTube without any apparent reason.
