Let me get on your server....I'll have them running away in 20 minutes, because every packet that makes it back will contain malware for their computer, not to mention being automatically blacklisted on the firewall for 6 months. Yes, the entire subnet. Been dealing with ipchains and firewalls for years. Very good at Linux security.

Not that I don't believe you, and I'm certainly not pretending to be a network specialist, but if it were that simple wouldn't DDOSing be a thing of the past?

Evga > RM series all day every day. Evga can do no wrong since they went with Super Flower as their OEM of choice.

Bitmain, when can we expect a new firmware update to re-enable voltage control? The last update killed voltage control. I'd use the previous Oct 16th if I needed it right away, but the latest firmware is much more stable. With summer coming I'll be wanting to underclock and undervolt, along with many others I'm sure.

Please make sure that all 4 hash boards respond to voltage settings, previous firmware only controlled 3 of them while the forth was stuck at 0750.

We sold out all of our 2nd gen miners.

Huge congratulations, Spondoolies. You're by far the best hardware manufacturer, and as someone who just picked up his first piece of Spondoolies kit yesterday I sincerely hope to be able to purchase more from you in the near future. Incredible quality hardware, puts everything else in my "farm" to shame.

Near Montreal, Quebec. Thanks for checking.

Would you ship to Canada? (Not sure if you mean shipping included is US only or shipping only to US)

I'm picking up a used SP20E today, and I've got a question about powering it that hopefully Spondoolies can answer.

I'm powering all of my S4 units with Delta DPS2000 (2000w) server PSUs with breakout boards, and those PSUs are only loaded to about 1400w. Would it be OK for me to power the SP20E using a PCI-e cable from 4 different DPS2000s to share the load? Would it cause any issues? Or should I power each board from only 1 PSU, ie 2 DPS2000s for the SP20E?

If it's an issue either way, I can just set up another DPS2000. I've got plenty of them.

Plug a different psu to just the beaglebone, and turn it on. It should boot up normally but obviously not hash if the boards aren't plugged.
1369  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Spondoolies what is next??? on: March 09, 2015, 04:53:50 PM
We're at an interesting fork in the road -

It appears spending money on "smaller" chips now may be a waste of money. Whereas the smart companies are making the same chip but figuring out how to underclock 28/20nm chips further and further. The cost of real 16nm chips is just so high, even if they provide better efficiency, it is not enough to make up the extra cost.

BitFury, Avalon, Bitmain etc. seem to be going for the "underclock" method, while Spondoolies and KNC try to make smaller chips, which based on the funds they've had to raise, appears to be exceedingly expensive.

Here's to hoping KNC fails miserably.

What speeds should be achievable on WhirlpoolX with a 290x, 290, and 280x? Any reason for 32bit releases being faster than 64bit? Or am I misconfiguring something?
1371  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 09, 2015, 12:24:56 PM
I am new to s4. My psu died due to fluctuation. I was able to get it repaired. Now it ran fine for 2 days. But now the fans dont turn on even on the psu. And there is a red blinking light on psu. I read somewhere that you can re flash the firmware onto the card. Can anyone tell me where I can download the full firmware the .img file that I can use wind32disk writer to flash onto the memory card?

Reflashing won't help you if you've got a dead PSU.

Could you get me an estimate on the shipping cost for the SP31 to Canada?
Sure - according to the site https://wwwapps.ups.com/ctc : the price per unit to Toronto - Ontario from Lisbon - Portugal is 292 USD:

Packaging
70 x 58 x 16 cm.
Package Weight:
19 kgs.

UPS Expedited - 292 usd

oof - thats very high. perhaps a local courier or fedex can do <$150

Just checked DHL Portugal. To Toronto using DHL Express Worldwide it says 237 Euros - 265 USD
... Not sure how much is from Israel to US/Canada but when I ordered from SP I paid 300 USD with DHL from Israel to Lisbon

Shipping is indeed pretty killer. Could you look into FedEx? I'd take the SP31 if we can figure out something.

Hi,

Thank you for the offer but it is very far from market value. Can't sell those below 150 CAD.

Sorry, I didn't realize they were switched. 60$ is indeed too low. I'm going to PM you to discuss further.
1376  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] PDU and PSU in Canada on: March 06, 2015, 05:42:29 PM
60$ CAD for the PDU, paid in BTC. I'm near Montreal, so we could meet up.

If you want to collect taxes, that's off your end. Make me an invoice with a sum of $60 including taxes.

Hi Everyone,

I think my S4 PSU died this morning, I have only had the machine 3 months or so and i think the psu is dead, could anybody help me figure out if it is and how i go about replacing the PSU

I woke up this morning to find one breaker on my board had tripped, I checked the S4 and the PSU doesnt show any signs of life at all, I have checked the fuse and thats ok, but the psu does not boot at all, is there anything i can do to fault find.

I know i had one of the newer PSUs that didnt have the issue the first batch did, and the S4 has been running flawlessly since i purchased it, just a bit depressing to see one of my best machines go down Sad

Any help would be really appreciated.
My 2-cents is to get an IBM 2kw PSU (208-240v only) and breakout board to replace it. http://www.gekkoscience.com/products/IBM2K_board.html is a good source for the breakouts and PSU's or check eBay for the PSU's. Together they should run around $75-80 total+ shipping.
I got 4 of the beasts for when my S4's croak...

That's exactly what I'm doing with my 5 S4s, it's definitely the way to go.

Are your SP20Es still pending? Let me know if you end up with 1 or 2 units left.
