For what reason this should cause Cho-Cho?

'cause people should trust more in a BTC, that is currently falling like a stone?

Now , for the first time I feel like panicking ..
When people stop searching for good news in order for bitcoin prices to go up and instead search for disasters to achieve the same goal , that's a bad sign.

Wishing for another Cyprus?

200,000,000,000 Coins into IPO for 200 BTC, thats 1 Satoshi per coin then. Right ? A 100% win situation as soon one exchange lists it and price cant get less then that...... Wink I like that

Are you sure prices can't get less than that?
Because there is always the situation that nobody is buying them , at which price =  0
13745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 13, 2014, 11:13:26 AM

It's based on an article from http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/12/us-eu-banks-savings-idUSBREA1B1ZI20140212
And those guys print an article against the Euro or the EU a day.

I see it as genuine FUD.

13747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs and fake money problem? on: February 13, 2014, 11:00:03 AM
Because when one of the largest banks in my country declared it has to go through some changes ,(and fire some peoples)  in a matter of days all the banks got some new machines where you could insert cash and make a deposit to any of your bank accounts or pay bills , even exchange currecy, not having to talk to the cashier anymore.

ING for example , never really had ,since they first come with their first bank here,  cashiers , they only had atms for depositing and withdrawing money.
I'm pretty sure that when these ATMs take the cash, they stack it in the order in which it was received, and there is a log kept of to which account was used for which bill. Then, I'm assuming that the human who services the ATM does a spot check on the stack and will start an investigation if counterfeit bills are found.

But then, I could be completely wrong if the counterfeit detection has advanced to the point that it's as good as a human.

Ok , for the sake of it I went in and asked what would happen If I were to unknowingly stick a fake bill.
It seems that every ATM is fit with a detector , and the moment the bill gets detected it it's seized and the personal of the bank is notified.

Now , checking the prices around , it seems that an auto scanner for 16 kind of currencies is priced at around 200 euros and this is the stand alone device, so I guess it's even cheaper for a bank or a company that buys in bulk to add those thingies.

If you look at the comments he says that Bitcoin mining will use more electricity than the whole of Germany in a few years  Cheesy

Maybe it's time to spawn SunCoin. All SunCoin miners must be registered to ensure rigs run only on solar power. SunCoinLicense registration takes place, of course, in New York, USA. All mining transactions go toward burying cloned dinosaurs deep underground to replenish oil reserves.

that is a brilliant idea ! this will solve the energy problems. smoke a joint and think about it.  Wink

He claims to have worked on Internet currencies for twenty years and with Tim Berners-Lee.

If you look at the comments he says that Bitcoin mining will use more electricity than the whole of Germany in a few years  Cheesy

Let me guess , he based his deduction on the charts at blockchain .. that considered gpu mining.

I traded some DOGE to BTC on Bter but they are stuck there, what would be the best and cheapest way to get it into FIAT?
assuming u can get Doge out of Bter, not BTC:
>re-convert to Doge, remove from Bter ASAP to wallet
>move Doge to Vircurex, trade for BTC
>move BTC to Coinbase, sell to fiat, send out
Is vircurex BTC withdrawal working?

They did encounter some delays yesterday but now they claim everything is fine.

Jenna Jameson of course..

Saying Jenna Jameson is your favorite is like saying your listening to Elvis. Smiley
I remember when I was like 10 we used to go to our friend's house to watch his parents adult video colection. There was a lot of Jenna in there.

And you're still listening to Elvis , or watching JJ movies Huh

Also this could mean your 25 at most right?

I really don't get , not your predictions , nor your trading scheme.
13759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs and fake money problem? on: February 12, 2014, 05:29:32 PM

I'm not an expert in atm machines , but i think it's just a piece of software that runs when you inset a bill that checks it against some patterns.
So it would be fairly easy to get a recognition software that detect fakes , just like banks have , for every bill out there , and install it with a few clicks.

I doubt that this is not the standard procedure , otherwise I'm pretty sure we would have already seen reports of people inserting some home printed money in those machines.

Ok, then why in most banks there are still a human cashiers that personally check some of the bills and it's not all automated?
Based on what experience or facts you think is easy to make a software that recognizes fake money?

The cashiers do other jobs too. Most banks in the UK tell you to use the automated machines if you're paying in money / cheques because it saves time. My mate even had a note swallowed because it was fake, so they obviously work.

And there wasn't any alarm? No closed doors and police units storming the bank?
