141  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New scam attempt by newbie on: September 14, 2023, 09:36:19 PM
I just noticed that the airdrop free thread has disappeared. I don't know if he deleted it or for some reason he has been banned. It should be the former because scams are not moderated. I guess it was when he saw the tags and this thread.

Scams aren't moderated, but posts (or threads) spamming links to phishing sites are often deleted by mods.  I've reported plenty of threads and posts for that reason, and have yet to see one not get deleted.  I don't know if that's what happened to this scammer's thread, though.

145  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.0168 BTC loan, 10%, 8 weeks. on: September 14, 2023, 02:11:57 PM
Are you really so certain about BTC's 8-week performance that you can't see the other side of the coin or are you assuming that is my goal?

The only thing this thread solidifies in certainty is that you are an unethical, unscrupulous, narcissistic shyster.

I guess I'll bring it up since nobody else has:

What's with Aaron Rodgers' and Sauce Gardner's doobie brothers handshake?  I saw a video of it some months ago, and then they did the same thing when they ran out onto the field Monday night.  Looks kinda stitty, no?

But that's not why I'm posting; I'm sad to see him injured and out for the year, but it would be even more sad if that was the last snap of his career.  At his age, recovering from a torn achilles is a longshot.  He's healthy enough but I'm not sure we'll ever see him suit up again.  The whole scene reminded me of watching Steve Young go down.

The only difference is Steve's injury ushered in the end of an era, with Rodgers the era never had a chance to start.  The god damn Jets are cursed.
147  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [100 dots] seed phrase backup on: September 12, 2023, 05:34:16 PM
I can see a few other ideas to keep our seeds private from community members in the last couple of days but I am asking myself how many people are going to take this risk with their primary wallet seeds? Even with multiple backups, the secret innovative storage of keys or seeds seems risky to me.

Lol, totally agree.  Even after using number and letter stamps to encode my seed phrases onto those stainless steel credit cards, I still keep old-fashioned paper copies in my gun safe.  The fear of losing the spreadsheet, or forgetting how I encoded the seeds, or croaking before I can teach my kids how to decode my seeds would keep me up at night for sure.

google: "TRUMPF"

Lol, one of my first jobs out of college was programming CNC machines including a Trumpf laser cuter.  Have you priced those precision punches and laser engravers?  A bit over-kill I think.
148  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [100 dots] seed phrase backup on: September 12, 2023, 04:26:11 PM
So there are lots of companies which already produce metal plates with this hole punch design, but I'm not sure if I've seen one without the template etched on to the metal.

You can easily reduce the size of the plate and/or increase the size of each box by overlaying words 13-24 on top of words 1-12. For example, one dot in a box for words 1-12, two dots for words 13-24, or three dots if the letters overlap. Or a vertical line, horizontal line, and a cross. Or any other such arrangement. Or even do the same with 1-6 overlaid with 7-12, since 12 word seeds are perfectly adequate.

Excellent suggestions in theory, but a hammer and a punch aren't the most precise implements, and from experience I can tell you that attempting to punch centering holes in close proximity to one another is nearly impossible without making a mess of things.  Especially if you're starting with a small substrate, like credit-card sized ones I used for my seeds.
149  Economy / Lending / Re: I NEED 30 THOUSAND DOLLARS IN TERM on: September 12, 2023, 02:42:17 PM
Hello, I am looking for a loan .

Loan Amount: 30.000 $
Loan Purpose: Personal
Loan Repay Amount: 35.000 $
Loan Repay Date: On or before DECEMBER 15
Type of Collateral: None

+905447301307  WHATSAP .

It's unfortunate you don't have any collateral, but apparently you're lacking something far more valuable; common sense.

Arron gonna fuk you and throw one and run in two! Tongue

That would be my luck, for sure.

Cheesy Lol

Don't laugh too loud about Mac Jones, at least not yet.  I still think the Niners would have been better off picking him over Trey Lance.

Another QB to watch closely this year is Jordan Love.  Big shoes to fill from GB's perspective, but he seems built for the purpose.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 11, 2023, 04:17:05 PM
Alright, here's my only bet for opening weekend.  I'm playing with house money at the moment, so throwing caution to the wind.  Both QBs to pass for two TDs a piece, and the Jets +10.5.  Wish me luck.

152  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.0168 BTC loan, 10%, 8 weeks. on: September 11, 2023, 02:54:00 PM
May I ask what is the difference to have the amount to pay back in USD and not BTC? What is the pros and cons to this?
I understand the repayment will be in BTC. But why rather have $472 instead of example 0,020BTC

Because he expects BTC to pump, and he wants to pocket some at the lender's expense.

The cheetah is a cheat code with his speed, especially yesterday it was pretty impressive.

Lets not over look Concussion Boy dropping those dimes as well, I was quite impressed with his accuracy.

I thought it was rather risky of you to start him this week, but yeah, pretty damn good outing for Tua.  Not that it's surprising after last year, but fucking A, Hhampuz looks like he won the RB and WR lottery.  I knew Aiyuk would be good this year, he and purdy have a great connection.  Jakobi Meyers is a surprise, though.  Speaking of LV, it's funny to see Garoppolo and Wilson are division rivals again.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 11, 2023, 02:00:00 PM
Pretty exciting weekend of opening football!  Glad to see the Niners are looking pretty good.  The Eagles and the Cowboys are rocking and rolling as well, but I really didn't expect such a fight from the Patriots.  Mac Jones looked like Tom Brady.  I had double check the numbers on his jersey when I watched the highlights.

I thought I would have one of the worst teams on week 1

I was afraid my team was going to suck pretty bad week 1 also.  Despite being the second highest scoring team this week (so far anyway,) I'm still rather disappointed by my RBs and most of my WRs.  I'm hoping to get some traction on those positions during this week's waivers, but any move this early in the season is a gamble anyway.

I am happy with this volatility and have factored it into my budget. It is assumed the lender is too if they go ahead with the loan Smiley

I'll bet you are happy with the volatility if you're bullish on bitcoin.  The first question that I had when I read your request is why you wouldn't just borrow some stable coin, but I think the rest of your post answers that question.   Roll Eyes
156  Economy / Reputation / Re: JollyGood is trusted by - and question. on: September 10, 2023, 02:27:13 PM
This thread sucks.
Based on the title I thought you were going to make a generic argument about JollyGood's abuse of the trust system.
You really want another one of those?

I don't know that I've ever seen a thread like the one I suggested about anyone, let alone about JG.  All the "Bitching about DT" threads I've seen are just like this one; "Woe is me, look at what this DT bully did to MEEEE!"  That includes all the ones I've seen about JG specifically.

It always comes off like an interpersonal dispute, and is unlikely to sway anyone's opinion.  Threads like this one never illicit the sympathy or outrage the OP is hoping for, especially when the DT member in question is calculated in his abusive use of the trust system.  More often than not, these threads end up creating even more division in DT by driving people to form cliques of members that agree with each other or have supported each other in the past.  Or, as is being demonstrated in this thread; those who've already included the individual in the past are more likely to feel attacked and called out, and react by digging their heals in and defending their previous choices.  I only need to look at my own behavior to see this play out, I'm human and therefor, not immune.

I am convinced that a non-biased, objective, and very generic critique of JollyGood's trust system habits would convince many to remove him from their inclusions.  Not to mention he has a history of supporting shady services that turn out to be scams.  Remember that virtual credit card scam for which he repeatedly vouched and defended when the line of questioning got sticky?  There are many examples of JollyGood's poor judgement on display on this forum.  Kind of ironic and hypocritical of him to leave the tag he did for Royse, considering his own history.
157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 09, 2023, 06:29:15 PM
I might end up betting the Jets versus Bills game come Monday night (heck of a Monday night game!).  I think that's probably a smart bet, brand new team for Rodgers, could take some time to start to click.

I like the MNF game, but I'm tempted to put small bet on the Jets.  Maybe ML or +3.5, haven't decided yet.  Aaron Rodgers might be on a new team, but his connection with Garrett Wilson looks promising and he still has Lazard and Cobb.  New team or not, having familiar and trusted faces in the huddle goes a long way.  I don't think it'll take more than a few snaps before we see some magic from Rodgers and Wilson.  I'm curious to see how the O-Line holds up for him, though.

On the other hand, betting against Buffalo when it isn't snowing might not be the smartest move.  And I'm admittedly an AR fanboy so it would be wise to take my gambling advice as a shitshow on a popsicle stick.

Previous performance does not guarantee future results, and I'm hoping that's a good thing.  Grin

Who hoo won the Detroit game.  It paid put +180 for straight money line.  Without kelce and the first game of the season I figured they would struggle.  The disappointing part of the game was how little theor weapons were used or were effective.  CEH, Pacheco were none existent, sky Moore was a huge disappointment.  We'll see once kelce gets back he changes the game for KC.  Hurts having jones hold out too.

That was an exciting game, and I always love it when season opener is an upset.  Any given Sunday!

159  Economy / Reputation / Re: JollyGood is trusted by - and question. on: September 08, 2023, 07:30:23 PM
Yes, I have JollyGood on my trust list because in my opinion, it's overally very beneficial for Bitcointalk to have JollyGood on DT due to many valid feedbacks left by JollyGood.

You and I will have to disagree on whether he's good for DT or not, and apparently we'll also have to disagree on whether his feedback is valid.  To me, his most recent feedback appears full of speculation and projections, not facts or evidence.

In addition, JollyGood is actively giving our shameless and annoying shitposters a hard time. As someone who's very well aware of certain shitposters not trying to improve anything, it's very important to support community members like JollyGood for calling out shitposters and remind them to improve.

That's commendable, but none of that is dependent on him being in DT.  There are plenty of folks who are engaged in hunting spammers that aren't in DT, but that hasn't stop them.  The issue with JG is that he clearly WANTS to be on DT, he lusts for the power and he abuses it in situations where he knows he'll get little to no blowback.  It's my opinion that anyone who wants it as bad as JG has no business being on DT.

My main concern is that when people abuse the trust system the way I see JG doing, the whole system suffers by making it less impactful.  More and more people are ignoring DT red-tags because more and more DT red-tags are frivolous in nature.  I'm not saying JG is the only one, but he's definitely one of the more prolific abusers of DT power.

If I am going to have to really start going through all my trust lists from who I added (Either good or bad) and look at all they have done since then it's going to take a while. So leaving it alone is what I (and I am making an assumption here) others have done.

I think this is something that DT1 members should do on a regular basis.  I often take the opportunity to go through my inclusion/exclusion lists whenever I fall of DT1 because it's less impactful if I'm only DT2.

I am approachable and open to discussion with anybody on any subject

You'll have to excuse me for calling you out on this blatant lie.  How approachable or open to discussion have you been when I challenge your abuses of the trust system over the last two years?  Don't worry, I don't expect a response since you've been ignoring me whenever I raise concerns about your abuses, and that's not something you can hide.  The evidence of your flat out lie can easily be observed by all.
160  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone Loan using My Account on: September 08, 2023, 06:30:29 PM
and the loan that has been received by someone else is nothing but gossip which has been made to get sympathy for what can take a long time to repay the loan.
Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, this is pure speculation.

I can't make heads or tails of this either.  There's no evidence to support Shasan's speculation, and since I don't know Peanutswar well enough it's hard to make the judgement call.  But since he's willing to pay back this kind of speculation is irrelevant and unhelpful.

And don't forget: all of this could have been prevented if you would have asked for a signed message to begin with.

If Peanutswar's claims are factual, then it's my opinion that both members are equally responsible.  Certainly Peanutswar should have been more careful with his account security, and Shasan should be asking for signed messages for loan requests.  At the very least insist on sending only to an address that's been posted by the member in the past.  I think Shasan takes a lot of unneeded risks in his lending activities, and unfortunately this is one of the pitfalls of those risks.
