Whatever the outcome, he may not be a member of the Manchester United team; as I previously stated, the fan base does not even want to know the outcome of the judgment because they have already passed one; we are not certain why she did what she did to the man she claims to love and was in a relationship with. We've seen so many false rape accusations, and so many people have spent their lives behind bars as a result of them. We've all seen what happened to Zouma, whose contract was about to be terminated for kicking his OWN cat, but he's still a footballer thanks to Moyes' support.

There used to be a time when people were skeptical about these kinds of stories, and refrained from rushing to judgement.  Thanks OJ!  Roll Eyes

3-1 was my prediction. I scored a close point!

Mine was 1-0 so I scored close points also, but I WANTED EXACT!  lol

What's going on with the Arsenal game? Why so many goals?

Holy moly.  It's not broadcast here so I was going to wait until the end and catch the highlights, but I couldn't help but peak after reading your comment.  I predicted 2-0 for that one, only results ponts for me.

Manchester City needs to score one more goal to match my exact scoreline.

Lol, I predicted 3-0, so I'm still close points for now.  I actually had 4-0 in that slot up until last night, I decided to go conservative just before I locked my predictions.

Bitcoin might begin pumping to $30k and I would hate to pay more in dollar terms if we can send open payments starting next week.

Bitcoin has been pumping lately, so yeah I hope it goes to $30k. Grin

The escrow address has been sent via mass-PM to all participants to preserve a modicum of privacy.  I have no objections to posting it in public if that's preferred.  Feel free to send payment whenever you feel like, but let's try to get payment in before the draft.  The next order of business is deciding on a date for the live draft.  I liked waiting until the Friday before the season starts, hopefully that works for everyone.

Did any of you guys watch the 9ers/Green Bay game last night?  It was fun to watch Trey Lance get some significant playing time.  I'm a bit less apprehensive about him starting for us this year after watching him last night.  I have a feeling we're going to be a measurable amount better at the QB position this year.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 13, 2022, 02:01:03 PM
What about Greenwood? I know about all the shit that happened of the pitch but let's forget about it for the moment. I rellay liked him as a player and I was sure he is going to be big star one day. There isn't many players with his nose for a goal, especially while so young. Is he a product of United youth academy?

I forgot about him already. I dont think he will be back on the field anytime soon and i honestly dont see what club would even take him after that incident. But still what a shame he was a huge talent and the future of manchester united

Unfortunately, most Manchester United fans do not want to see him anywhere near the club, and the club is likely to lose some sponsorship deals as a result. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but since he hasn't been convicted, shouldn't we wait for the law to take its place before passing judgment? R.Giggs slept with his brother's wife, John Terry took his teammate's ex-wife, it's hell in football. I'd like to see Mason Greenwood return to the pitch.

Manutd fans reaction to M. Greenwood return

I agree that the court of public opinion should restrain themselves from rushing to judgment.  I only just heard about this drama, and did some searching to learn more, and I can't help but see that girl as a gold-digger.  I'm not discounting the possibility that she's telling the truth, but if their relationship was on the rocks she could have seen this as a way to get revenge or a large payday, or both.  I've seen this far too many times in American sports.

Has he been released to paly for ManU?

Anyway, what in tarnation just happened with the AV/Everton match?  It looked I was going to get exact points for about 55 minutes, then in the 85th minute things started to get crazy!  Digne with an own goal to bring Everton back in the game?  Dude!  Not that it mattered by then.  It did make for an exciting finish to an otherwise boring game.

1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Electrum Server Privacy Leaks on: August 12, 2022, 11:40:29 PM
Setting up a tor hidden service is actually pretty easy.  I have one for each of my Core servers, which is great for running bisq on a laptop, and obviously for my ElectrumX server which I can connect to from my personal laptops and phone.  It also works behind CGNAT (satellite internet,) which doesn't provide a direct-to-internet IP address.  So it's really my only option (but I'd use it anyway.)
1086  Economy / Reputation / Re: Clearing my trust list on: August 12, 2022, 04:46:28 PM
Several duplicitous members are following the Goebbels doctrine of propaganda "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it". This is still correct several days after I made a similar post to the point. It is almost laughable looking at their desperation.

Lol, you are a laughable joke of a troll.  I have to hand it to you, you've employed the tactics of the most corrupt politicians quite predictably.  Once exposed and desperate you accuse your adversaries of the very things of which you are guilty.

The Jack Booted Thug accuses me of being a Nazi and propagandist, entirely missing the irony of the claim!  Absolutely brilliant.  You can ignore me all you want, but that won't stop me from exposing your hypocrisy.  You're not my target audience.  You've already exposed yourself as a thin-skinned coward who can't engage in a rational debate.  Run and hide, bitch.

But before I go, I'll give you some advice:  Instead of secretly wishing ChipMixer would pull an exit scam so you can target their signature participants with your next red-tag frenzy, you better stick the reputation and gambling boards.  There you can harass and intimidate newbies with relative impunity.  But, if you continue to venture into big-boy topics, you'll have your ass handed to you in short order.

Good Luck, jigglyboobs.

The flag is a valid one IMO, and I think I stated as much previously.  And to 16xypjnxlrew, you can argue your case until hell freezes over and you're still never going to get support--so just quit now while you're only a little bit behind.  If you keep drawing attention to yourself, it's only going to be bad attention, and I say that based on experience with other members who keep blabbering on in the face of no support and an untenable argument.

I don't think he's going to take your advice.  He's trying to "borrow" the copper membership fee.  To me it looks like he's got his army surplus trench spoon, and ready to dig in.

Hi! I need a loan of 0.00121480 BTC
Loan purpose: Buy a copper membership (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote)
Type of Collateral: NONE
BTC address: 34G5H92p3QTT5Thcb3TvMi5KrWofa2u4ef

It's impossible to confirm if that is indeed the forum payment address for his copper membership, and I'm sure theymos has bigger fish to fry than providing a confirmation for this troll.  Regardless, if you're thinking of helping this hopeless troll, just think about the upsides; either you lose your money to an unrelated address, or you're ensuring we have a scammy, spammy stalker roaming the forum.  Win, win. for the scammy, spammy stalker.  Grin

1091  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: August 11, 2022, 10:24:54 PM
It's not my suggestion or preferred browser of choice, but there is also easy alternative option for lazy people, because brave browser supports onion links and it works with Chipmixer.
I would always suggest using Tor browser because it's much more secure, but it's always good to have some easy alternative.

Interesting, I didn't know that Brave browser has that capability (not that I would use it.)  I know there are plugins and extensions that allow Chromium to connect to onion addresses, but I don't like involving more links in the chain.  Honestly, I'm not a fan of FireFox (putting it mildly) and to this day can't understand why the Tor Project uses it as the basis for their browser.  I really wish they would switch to Chromium.

Can you elaborate on what actually happened and why the website was down for those 3 days?

What is it about privacy that confuses you?
1092  Economy / Lending / Re: Victim of identity theft sos W 1000-5000 on: August 11, 2022, 09:57:23 PM
Sure what would you like my social? My birth certificate? Location? Signed agreement?

So you say you're identity was stolen?  I wonder how that could have happened.  I mean it's not like you're sharing your personal documents with random anonymous strangers on the internet or anything.  Roll Eyes

If those that you offer are actually yours to begin with.  Roll Eyes

Also, this is not a charity board, it's a lending board.  None of your documents can be validated by any of the lenders here, so no one will accept them in lieu of collateral.  Most lenders will require an altcoin as collateral, and will request at least 120% of the amount you want to borrow.

Since you're broke, I'm guessing you have no collateral, so you're very unlikely to get a loan here.  Try the bank that allowed the thief to rob you, like normal people who have their identities stolen.  Only a scammer would show up on an anonymous forum asking for $5000 with an unbelievably stupid story such as yours.

@DireWolfM14: appreciate your feedback. I have installed Bisq as it looks very promising and I like how it works. Hopefully this will be the solution to get some (m)BTC.

Thank you so far.

Bisq is great.  Through my keen powers of observation I've gathered that you're a resident of Europe.  If I'm right, Bisq enables many payment methods that work well for European traders.  I see lots of offers for Revolute, Wise, Swift, and Instant Swift.  Revolute is kinda neat because it provides an affordable method of exchanging one fiat to another (if you need that.)  There are still pitfalls for selling BTC for fiat, but because of the way Bisq works (i.e. security deposits that the sammer may lose if the trade goes to mediation) it can be much safer than Paxful, HodlHodl, Localbitcoins, or Localcryptos.  The security deposit is a key factor that makes bisq less prone to scammers' succeeding.

The other advantage to Bisq is there are no KYC requirement.
1094  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for BTC, will pay via Paypal on: August 11, 2022, 08:03:17 PM
@citb0in, for a newbie you sure do know how to deal with trolls.  Good job.

I don't use PayPal, and most members here are reluctant to accept it from newbies.  Even F&F payments through PayPal can be reversed, so it's still very dangerous for the seller.  I suggest you use a different payment service which is less dangerous for the seller.  Good luck.

GIANTS on in 4 hours whoo hoo finally.

Seriously?  Shit I better get crackin' if I want to get home in time.  It's been one of those frustratingly unproductive days at work.  Hell, the whole week seems to have been like this.  Running around busy as hell, and getting next to nothing done.

Why are there two games in competing time slots today?  And they seem to be starting a bit early, no?  I don't recall these odd hours last pre-season.

Hate nfl offseason seems like forever lol.

Lol, and it's shorter this year, but yeah pre-season always seems to elevate the anticipation of regular season.  Funny how that works.
1096  Economy / Lending / Re: Request loan 0.0015 btc on: August 11, 2022, 06:49:22 PM
Out of curiosity: why not use an instant exchange instead? Fixedfloat would have given you 0.0015 Bitcoin for 520 Doge. Then, 2 days from now, you can swap 0.002 Bitcoin back for about 650 Doge. Unless you expect Doge to drop more than 20% in 2 days, that would have been a better deal.
In addition to that the interest given in this trade is insanly high (32% for only 2 days).

This whole thing is just weird..

It's not weird, it's trust farming.  The newbie is hoping to get positive feedback for repaying this loan, which will propel him on his way for an exit scam...  Interestingly enough all his posts so far have been in lending or currency exchange.  Not unlike another recently red-tagged would-be loan scammer.

After looking at how several cliques and trolls manipulate the system to suit their own agenda
<snip>
I propose these cliques and trolls are  BitcoinGirl.Club, NeuroticFish, tranthidung, LoyceV, Poker Player, dragonvslinux, DireWolfM14, dkbit98, The Pharmacist.
I hope I'm not included in JollyGood's list of cliques and trolls, serving my own agenda by manipulating the system.  For one thing, I don't have an agenda with respect to my trust list other than to do what I think is best for the forum.  I've communicated with JollyGood since I excluded him, and if I recall correctly I explained to him why I did it and that there were no hard feelings, just that I thought there were too many questionable feedbacks he'd left for others.

And I certainly don't think I'm a troll, and hopefully JollyGood doesn't see me that way.  I haven't done any trolling lately, and if I had a list of targets of trolling he wouldn't be on it.

There have always been groups of members who tend to see things (like JollyGood's feedback-giving accuracy) the same way and are pretty vocal about it.  It was that way when Lauda and Vod were active, but it's not like there's any behind-the-scenes collusion AFAIK.  I'm definitely not included if there is.

I think you're missing BitcoinGirl.Club's point;  I interpret her post as speculation that JollyGood would accuse those listed as a clique, or trolls.  I don't think anyone has accused JollyGood (or you, for that matter) of trolling.

And, as for the communication about your trust exclusion; of course JollyGood is going to respond to you.  You're one of the older established members, a merit source, and a fixture in DT.  He knows, like any power hungry politician, he needs the help of the powerful to gain more power.  Anyone else who's critical of him gets ignored.  Like me, I'm a nobody so he thinks that maybe just maybe if he ignores my criticism of his trust abuses (like he's done for the last year) that I'll just go away.

I'm not going away.  JollyGood shouldn't take it personally, I would criticize any one who abuses the trust system regardless of who they are.
1098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 11, 2022, 03:00:36 PM
I haven't been practicing my drafting skills at all, I've just been too busy.  I expect it to be a bit harder to get high-scoring players with ten teams in the league, certainly harder than it was last year.  Even picking up players on waivers will be a bit more difficult, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.  The difficulty will apply to all of us, so it may result in all of us being a bit more competitive, even if each of is scoring fewer points on average.  It could provide that ever elusive "parity" that the NFL is always striving for.
1099  Other / Meta / Re: The DT system needs to change. on: August 10, 2022, 08:03:53 PM
The system we have now is quite satisfactory, but some individuals think that it is not good enough for them, or rather, they do not have enough influence to manipulate it.

The system is most certainly not satisfactory for the exact reason you cited.  Any newbie can be added to DT2 just because one DT1 member includes him.  That is a recipe for abuse, and it's been happening a lot.  Go trough any drama thread and look for newbies that took the side of a DT1 member, next thing you know that DT1 member is adding that newbie to his trust list, and BAM newbie on DT2.  Suchmoon's proposal in the thread linked by Poker Player would mitigate a lot of that.  It won't prevent it from happening, but it would make much less likely.

Making it more difficult to be included in DT2 is very likely to prevent DT cliques from developing, and reduces any one DT1 member's ability to manipulate the system.

I still think "protesting" against DefaultTrust by emptying your Trust list is counter-effective.

^This!

@yahoo62278 and @dkbit98, I really hope both of you will reconsider.  I understand your rationale, and often I think being in DT1 is not worth the headache.  But that headache is exactly why we need people like you; rational, thoughtful, restrained individuals to counter balance those who revel in the power.  If more people like you quit DT you'll be leaving the trust system to the abusers.

@suchmoon, we need you back too!
1100  Economy / Reputation / Re: Thread locked I owe it to aew. JollyGood and his Feedback on: August 09, 2022, 05:35:37 PM
I really want to refrain from getting involved in this drama, but since I was called out by BitcoinGirl.Club I just want to vouch for what she said.  I have indeed, for months now attempted to have a discussion with JollyGood about his use of the trust system, but all attempts have gone ignored.  This includes one PM I sent regarding his tagging of Royse777.  His unwillingness to discuss the subject tells me that he has no defense for his abusive behavior.

I agree that once upon a time he was doing valuable work as a scam buster.  He was among quite a few members who (a couple of years ago) learned that they could build their accounts, and gain some recognition with merits or trust inclusions by exposing scammers, mostly bounty cheaters.  When they ran out of bounty cheaters to expose they started harassing anyone with alt accounts, regardless of whether they were cheating or not.  I suspect that most of these members recognized the folly of going after alts just for being alts, but not JollyGood.  He held onto the power which was given to him for longer than others.  Then he used the 1xbit excuse to spread his abuse of the trust system to any member that posted an applicaiton in their signature campaign thread.

Many of these newbies were naïve to apply for the 1xbit campaign, but that does not make them scammers.  JollyGood would hold these tags over their heads, making demands of how they behave if he were to remove his tag.  This is extortion.

At one point (last year?) there was a thread in Reputation accusing a bunch of accounts as alts just for having misspelled the name of an athlete in the same way.  In that thread JollyGood said something that I found ridiculous, I rolled my eyes, he removed me from his trust inclusion.  During the recent Royse777 drama, after many ignored attempts to engage JollyGood in a rational discussion, I decided to exclude him from my trust network.  A couple of weeks go by, and he excludes me.  That's retaliation.

It's been made clear to me that JollyGood abuses the trust system.  He seems drunk with the power that he's been granted.  I don't know anything about starmyc's deal with JollyGood, and I haven't had time to dig too deep.  This however, has been my fear concerning many of the newly appointed DT members; i.e. that they'll use their power to harass and intimidate newbies in an effort to either extort them for money, or merely for more power.

Anyone who keeps JollyGood in their trust inclusions needs to know that they are enabling this behavior.
