1021  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Preev is down, Im happy to announce the official launch of Pnnv.com on: August 25, 2022, 05:12:42 PM
I just played with it a bit, and the site is looking good.  I like the night mode feature, cool addition.  I'm sure it's still a work in progress but I did find an issue that you may want to resolve; I found that it doesn't convert backwards from fiat to BTC, i.e. if I want to see how much bitcoin is equivalent to $500 USD (or any fiat) the BTC field is stuck at "1".

Changing the fiat amount doesn't change the BTC amount:

why you say hacked accounts

Do you think he's selling his own accounts?

seems that you know more about this
care to explain me how you know this ?

It's called critical thinking.  A critical skill, that's been chronically lacking in society lately.

and if so why don't anyone warn me about him

What makes you think it's someone else's responsibility to protect you from your own greed?

or at least ban this motherfucker from forum  he can still scam people
great protection if you ask me

If the moderators banned scammers you wouldn't be here either.

1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 24, 2022, 03:14:16 AM
I'm also annoyed at Liverpool, not that they've cost me points in the pool, but the fact that they just don't seem to be motivated at all at the moment. I know we have our injuries, but to lose against United in the manner that we did, absolutely abysmal.

It's either going to be a very long season or a very long wait until we get through this bad patch, obviously the injuries are playing a role, but there's no excuse why we saw quite a few of our players being lazy on the pitch. VVD was one of the worst on the field for it on Monday.

That was a surprise loss for LFC, and more surprising of a win for UTD.  I find myself rooting for both teams most of the time (unless they're matched against Arsenal, or course,) and when they're playing each other I just want to see a good match.  I considered putting money on the match, but decided against it because I couldn't decide.  After such an abysmal record for the weekend's predictions, I began to question everything I knew about football.

Anyway, to all my friends who are fans of ManU, congratulations on the win.  It was well fought for.  I guess beating LFC will give the fans cause to forgive Ten Hag for the first two weeks of the season.  Better to just forget them, lol.

To switch gears a bit, the drama between Chelsea and Tottenham has really intrigued me for some reason.  It looks like both managers received red cards for their shenanigans when they faced each other in week two.  Now Tuchel has been charged by the FA for "improper conduct," lol.

Tuchel had already received a suspended touchline ban and £35,000 ($41,132) fine following his confrontation with Spurs boss Antonio Conte.

If JimmyG does go to Seattle its really gonna change the rankings, atm I don't want any Seagulls! Cheesy

Or, pick their entire stable of running backs, lol!

EDIT: Dammit DW beat me by 1 second! thats because I tried to spell garapolo and just changed it to JimmyG when I failed! Cheesy

When I clicked the post button on that previous one, the telegram bot informing me of your reply startled me.  It seemed simultaneous.  That was weird.

I'm a die hard Bears fan and have always "hated" this guy, but lately I've been watching interviews with him (His interview with Pardon My Take / Big Cat is amazing, I highly recommend watching it) and he's honestly started to win me over a bit.  I love that he came out and spoke about taking ayahuasca.  As someone whos "heard stories" of taking psychedelic's, it can absolutely open your mind in a way of helping to self improve.  Not to mention there's some serious health benefits that are starting to really come in to the mainstream view, and good on him for breaking down barriers in that sense.

I've never made a secret about my mancrush on AR12.  I was a fan from his days at Cal Berkeley.  He was from northern California, and grew up a Niners fan.  Everybody was sure the we were going to pick him with the first OAP.  Conversely, I've never made a secret of my disdain for Mike Nolan for taking Alex Smith instead.

I don't necessarily agree with all his Holly Weird philosophies, but yeah it's good to see some people with unpopular views become uncancelable.

So is the entry fee set at .0025? I will pay as soon as that's confirmed, I just don't remember seeing any posts clarifying that.

9th pick..of course. I literally never ever get a top 3-4 pick and I have been playing for 15+ years now and normally play between 3-5 leagues a year.  How were picks chosen, I think someone mentioned they were going to use the blockchain to do so?  Sorry I should know some of this stuff but have limited time to review past posts atm...new job, work has been insane.

I picked last in 2021, but ended up winning the league.  It was all luck, and only when it counted, it seemed.  I didn't have a great season, even got beat by uncle nutildah when he was a no-show.  Roll Eyes
1029  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I found a paper wallet on a beach ... seriously on: August 23, 2022, 11:43:53 PM
If the OP's wallet turns out to be one of the same batch and it's just some trickery or worse, then we got punked just the same.  It would also mean these last 10 pages and deep discussions of ethics and mushrooms was all for nothing.
How sad that would be.  Grin
Oh well, we can't say we didn't have fun, right.. Wink

Quote from: Dad
What do you call a mushroom that buys you drinks?
A fungi to be with! Cheesy

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

This would mean that the Reddit OP has no idea about Bitcoin though, right? I mean: 'access the account'? Which account? There are no Bitcoin accounts.
It must be targeted at people who don't actually know this. People who think a website saying: 'here is an address with X Bitcoin on it, send us $50 to access it' isn't something out of the ordinary. Roll Eyes

Now I kind of want to see the website.. Cheesy

I also got the impression that the Redditor isn't very knowledgeable about bitcoin.  The terminology does kind of give it away.

If my imagination is serving me accurately, I picture the inside of this "wallet" as a QR code which directs to a URL, and some access code that allows you to "login" to the website.  And, it's starting to sound like there's only one QR code, not two as I would expect.  Certainly there wouldn't be a private key, but the access code makes it look like there is to a neophyte.  Another purpose the access code may have accidentally served is to confuse a neophyte into thinking it is a private key, even if he were to call a more knowledgeable friend (as has been demonstrated by these last 10 pages.)  The other odd thing I noticed about the wallets in the Reddit photos; there's no QR code for the public key.

If I've got it all pictured correctly, I expect anyone with most basic knowledge of bitcoin would recognize this as ruse.  Even the Redditor who seems to have little knowledge of bitcoin recognized it as a potential scam.

I would really like to see this website too.  At this point, I wish someone would post photos of the inside of the wallet, I'm sure there's nothing to lose.  They probably all have the same codes anyway, just like they have the same address printed on the outside.

And no one needs to give a loan, either.

i know for myself i'm 100 % trusted and that's enough for me

Not enough for a lender, though.

i have been scammed for 500 €  so what do you think i need to proof more ?

What does this have to do with the price of tea in China?

What?  The Danish supermarket, or the scammer selling hacked accounts?
1031  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I found a paper wallet on a beach ... seriously on: August 23, 2022, 07:32:51 PM
It sounds like OP has the same:
I scanned the initially concealed QR code on my phone, entered the also concealed code and was presented with a web page with info pertaining to a btc balance of 0.6104...ish.

Very interesting!  I just went back to re-read the few replies after easternklaas made that post; it seems like all of us missed the implications of the "concealed code" he referenced.  In light of what dkbit98 found on reddit, it seems like the OP's wallet is just a ruse.

Now that it seems this is nothing more than a joke, I hope easternklaas comes back and helps us get to the bottom of this weird event.  At the very least, sharing the public key no longer seems like a privacy risk.
1032  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto Mixer developers are arrested in Netherlands on: August 23, 2022, 05:52:18 PM
then Ethereum itself could also be penalized because Tornado Cash is operating on its blockchain. And that doesn't seem right.
Ethereum did have a shady start and some people thinks it's should be a security because tokens got sold by Vitalik and his buddies for Bitcoin.
However, I wouldn't arrest anyone for creating Ethereum, but we have examples of people being arrested for creating digital currencies in pre-Bitcoin era, for example E-Gold.

Ethereum may or may not be a security, but there are some questionable things about it's future.  The main issue I have with ETH has is that it's a shitty protocol, and the more experienced and astute crypto enthusiasts will eventually grow weary of it.  I believe that's why the vast majority of it's nodes are hosted on centralized server-providers such as AWS, and I also believe those nodes are very likely maintained by the wales still holding ETH.  They're the ones with the most to lose.

Once one realizes that ETH relies heavily on corporate VPS providers it starts too look more and more like a centralized protocol.  If the US government decided to sanction ETH, Amazon, Google, and MS would have no choice but to shut those nodes down.  You think gas fees are high now?  What do you think would happen if 60% of the nodes disappeared over night?

If we go down that road, why isn't Bill Gates in jail? And Linus Torvalds and every software developer on the planet?
Good question.
If you look some of the older deposition videos in case United States v. Microsoft you would see that Bill Gates was not very far from getting arrested.
Apparently, something changed and he converted to philanthropist who donated millions of dollars to media organizations and important people to smooth everything out.
To me Bill Gates doesn't look like a normal innocent human being in deposition videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFzHgvGqlb4

Lol, dkbit98, are you telling me you're not a fan of Bill Gates?  I know you and I have butted heads about Microsoft's products in the past, so it may surprise you to learn that I too am not a fan.  There are plenty of reasons to deride Bill Gates, but this is not one of them, in my opinion.

The US government has been trying to maintain it's monopoly on the world's currency for generations, and all of it's efforts are unconstitutional.  The US government is actually in violation of it's own laws, which is why they fight so hard to maintain their grip on the power provided by the USD.

Charging software developers for writing code that might, maybe, could possibly be used for criminal activity is a stretch, even for the most corrupt governments.  If they truly cared about the potential for software to be used in criminal activity there are plenty of developers who would be shaking in their boots right now, like those who wright gambling scripts.  Up until recently the US banned any online gambling, but I can't recall a single incident where the US government sanctioned writers of online casino code.  Because that doesn't threaten their power.

Great initiative, agentF.  Even if Preev comes back online, it's good to have and alternative option.  Especially one with SSL enabled.

I'm not a web developer, so this may be a silly question but I'm curious why are you using Java?

1035  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I found a paper wallet on a beach ... seriously on: August 23, 2022, 04:10:35 AM
I am not sure if this is directly connected with case of OP finding paper wallet or if this was posted before, but there is very similar situation happening in Melbourne, Australia.
This appears to be scam attempt with QR code with a key to access the account with alleged 0.62 BTC which can be withdrawn.

This whole time I was under the impression that the OP's has the private key, so I'm sure this is mere coincidence.  But the similarities are striking.

If the OP's wallet turns out to be one of the same batch and it's just some trickery or worse, then we got punked just the same.  It would also mean these last 10 pages and deep discussions of ethics and mushrooms was all for nothing.

How sad that would be.  Grin

I'm still curious: does this "wallet" somehow link to an account on a website instead of a private key?

Apparently so, here's a quote from the reddit OP:

A QR code with a key to access the account. When you get in there it says there is .62 BTC which can be withdrawn. I didn’t go further into withdrawing to see what they ask, but the account 1LM.. has only ever had .15 BTC in it on blockchain records, and they have only ever deposited from accounts that have been flagged as fraudulent or scams. Nothing seemed to flag malware/ransomware on site but I am guessing the details provided on the withdraw page are what the scam is, not malicious software. Anyone heard of “Printkey Wallet” before? That’s where the QR scans to.

*emphasis mine

I think n0nce is right, it seems to direct to a site were they will probably ask for your most recent dental x-rays and then for a deposit of $50 to unlock your $12k.  Lame scammers.  They should be prosecuted for littering.
1036  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: August 22, 2022, 03:26:35 PM
You're missing the point. The Atob-site forwards to the phising/scam domain, not the real ChipMixer.com site.

I think you're missing the point; the trust-system-abuser needs a new cache of accounts to red-tag since he ran out of 1xBit spammers to intimidate.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 22, 2022, 12:08:12 AM
Whatever may happen, we are in for an interesting season, to say the least. Keep it up gunners and we're cooking Cheesy

I don't want to jinx it, but it sure is nice to see the gunners at the top of the table.   Smiley

Otherwise, it's been rotten weekend for my predictions, and it doesn't look like I'm alone.  Very few points all around with all the upsets, and draws.  Now I'm questioning my prediction for tomorrow's match, and I always pick Liverpool.

One other highlight of the weekend, however was seeing Jesse Marsch celebrating those three goals against Chelsea (sorry, igehhh.)  I think it was the second goal, when he spiked the water bottle; he looked like a NFL linebacker taking a pick-6 to the house and spiking the football.  That was funny as hell.

I didn't see the Everton match, so I don't know what happened there, but I was surprised by the VAR and the ref reversal on that De Bruyne tackle.  That looked more red than yellow to me too, but I tend to agree with Trofo...  MC dropped points.  Lips sealed

1039  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a loan, NFTs as collateral on: August 21, 2022, 03:57:23 PM
OP created those NFTs 6 days ago, and then just a day later he requested this loan offering it as collateral.
I would say that he has no intention of returning the loan, but would actually just sell his NFTs through the loan.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing.  Pretty cheesy scam attempt for a measly $200.

I really wonder how he determined the value of 12 ETH for this NFT?

What makes any of those NFTs worth anything?  A bunch of candle charts are worth hundreds or thousands of dollars?  Really?  I have a hard time with the whole NFT thing in the first place, digital beanie babies is all I see, but these are exceptionally stupid.

The OP is also advertising these NFTs for sale:

No way San Fran trades him within the division.  It's rare to have any trades within the same division let alone a competent quarterback who would be circling those games on his calender every year.  Would be fun to watch just can't see it happening.  I can see Cleveland trying to maybe pull something off since Watson is pretty much out for the first 3 quarters of the season.

Cleveland cannot afford JimmyG, San Fran WAY overpaid for a bench warmer.

Hey now!  They can hock the farm of draft picks for the next 5 years.  I'd be okay with that...  It is Cleveland, after all.  Grin
