142  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitcoin Friday at WalletBit on: November 10, 2012, 03:25:28 AM

As promised our fees are just 0.445%. This is off of our new permanent flat rate of 0.89%.  They will continue being at this rate for everyone (including merchants) as long as it is Bitcoin Friday anywhere in the world.

143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Friday - Black Friday for Bitcoin Businesses. (Info inside) on: November 08, 2012, 11:14:48 PM
WalletBit has halved its fees. This means our Bitcoin payment processing fees are only 0.445%! As long as it is Bitcoin Friday somewhere in the world, our fees will be half off.
144  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: WalletBit Introduces a Flat 0.89% Fee on: November 08, 2012, 01:35:35 PM
We have also decided to extend the hours of our 50% off sale for Bitcoin Friday. We are a global company and thought every country should get an equal opportunity to take advantage of the great rates. If it is Bitcoin Friday anywhere in the world, our fees will be 50% off. For any transaction where you receive Bitcoins you will only pay 0.445%.
145  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Got friends in Berlin? Remote invite them on friday for dinner and drinks! on: November 08, 2012, 01:21:33 PM
The 0.89% is for receiving bitcoins only. We do not currently offer SEPA transfers but that could change soon. With WalletBit you get the advantage of having a detailed transaction record and innovative tools like the mobile checkout. Since WalletBit is a wallet service you can send the Bitcoins via email, SMS or the regular Bitcoin protocol. Our recently added sendto features also make it possible to send received Bitcoins instantly to another Bitcoin address. Since WalletBit is HTML5 based, it is compatible on any HTML5 enabled device.

if 0,89% included the conversion from BTC-->€ (at spot) and SEPA fees, this would actually be a decent offer.
146  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Got friends in Berlin? Remote invite them on friday for dinner and drinks! on: November 08, 2012, 06:30:18 AM
Hi Joe I am very pleased to see what you are doing for Bitcoin in Berlin. I recently got my first chance to introduce Bitcoin to some willing newcomers here in Toronto and you will enjoy this experience. I think this would be a great opportunity to introduce them to WalletBit both as a merchant solutions provider and online wallet service. Email and regular Bitcoin transactions are free from your account with SMS transactions available for a nominal fee. At a flat rate 0.89% for Bitcoin deposits we offer the most affordable Bitcoin merchant solutions option. Our Mobile Checkout and WalletBit Mobile make it easy to access, accept and send Bitcoins anywhere in the world for any local currency equivalent. Because our service is html5 based it is available on most Android, Apple or any other htm5 enabled device.

WalletBit was founded in Denmark in July 2011. If you would like any more details or assistance, please feel free to PM me or contact us through the official channels on our website.
147  Economy / Service Announcements / WalletBit Introduces a Flat 0.89% Fee on: November 06, 2012, 11:41:47 PM
Due to an increase in the use of our services WalletBit has decided to pass the savings onto our customers. As a result, WalletBit has just lowered it's deposit fees to a flat 0.89%. It was less than a month ago we lowered the threshold for paying 0.89% from 100BTC to 10BTC. Today we are excited to announce that we have removed this threshold all together, simplifying our fee structure even more.

As WalletBit grows we will continue to pass the savings on to you. We will continue to develop new features to enhance your experience and as always they will be available free of charge. Prime examples of this are the new VirtueMart shopping cart plugin and mobile checkout features. We are even offering customers the option to select the next feature we develop.

Sign up for WalletBit today and begin saving immediately. With our new 0.89% flat fee WalletBit is now the most affordable Bitcoin merchant solutions option. It doesn't matter if your item/deposit is 0.1BTC or 10BTC you still pay a flat 0.89%. Even better, we are offering a 50% off sale for Bitcoin Friday. This means you will only pay 0.445% on any Bitcoins you receive or deposit on Bitcoin Friday (CET). Don't miss this great opportunity or the savings.

WalletBit is a Bitcoin merchant solutions provider and online Bitcoin wallet service. Founded in 2011 we are the longest running wallet service in operation today and a company you can trust.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / PrestaShop and VirtueMart Shopping Cart Plugins Available at WalletBit on: November 06, 2012, 10:18:40 PM
WalletBit is proud to announce that we have just released our latest shopping cart plugin for VirtueMart, available free of charge. PrestaShop has been available free of charge to WalletBit users for some time.WalletBit will never charge its customers to create a shopping cart plugin because that's what our fees are for. While our competitors may ask you to pay to create new features, WalletBit will always create its new features free of charge. What better way to demonstrate this by letting you select the next plugin we make.

Let us know what shopping cart plugin you would like us to develop next. As always, it will be made free of charge.

149  Other / Meta / Re: Post moved without a [MOVED] tag and to the wrong section! on: November 02, 2012, 02:20:01 AM
It was created in Bitcoin Discussion because we wanted to make sure as many people as possible got a chance to get the free Bitcoins. Thank you for the explanation and announcements is a more appropriate section than gambling so I can live with that.

Last night WalletBit created a thread called FREE BITCOINS in which we were giving away free bitcoins. Today I notice that this post is no longer in the same part of the forum and indeed there is no trace. It was moved to gambling which makes no sense at all. It does not require any money to be spent and is therefore not gambling. In addition to the free bitcoins in the thread there was an Easter egg hunt for free bitcoins on the forum.

Why was this moved to gambling? Where is the [MOVED] Tag that appears on every other moved thread? Is this an error in the forum?
Where was it created? I just moved it to Service Announcements, since that seems to be the most appropriate board I could find.

Anyway, we don't have to leave [Moved] threads, it's just a checkbox option on the move page. Usually, I only leave them if I feel that some people on a certain board might be interested in it (which is almost all of the time in Bitcoin Discussion), but other moderators have their own way of deciding when to leave them.

Looks Great. Makes me wanna go out and get a smartphone.  Wink
153  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: FREE Bitcoins on: November 01, 2012, 03:45:41 AM
One of the nice things about WalletBit/ResponsePay is that there is no app to download. Our services are provided through HTML5 and are always up to date. Of course you can add a ResponsePay icon on your desktop and it will act like an app for all intensive purposes.

At random you say? I want to see if I get it lol. I'll download the app as well.
154  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Toronto Bitcoin Group Inagural Meetup on: November 01, 2012, 02:30:27 AM
I won't be selling any Bitcoins but for anyone who brings a mobile device and has a WalletBit/ResponsePay account I will give some amount of Bitcoin away. I have not determined exactly how much but I figure approximately one drinks worth is a good start. Our new Mobile Checkout is good for face to face transactions if anyone does want to do that as well.

Will anyone be available for f2f bitcoin selling at the meetup?

Thank you, my real name is Adam Harding and I used to be the accounts manager at Bitcoin Magazine. WalletBit was founded by Kris Henriksen in Denmark but since I have partnered with him, we plan on being just as much of a Canadian company going forward. Are you going to be at the meetup?

Nice site Bittenbob...

158  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoins over SMS using ResponsePay on: October 25, 2012, 09:49:48 PM
I have a slight correction to make: You can sign up for WalletBit via ResponsePay and they will both be enabled by default.

I highly recommend trying ResponsePay. In my opinion it is one of the best kept secrets in Bitcoin.

It seems you beat me to the punch for organizing this meetup. Naturally, I will be attending and will see the rest of you there. It will be nice to meet fellow bitcoiners in the GTA.
