141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 19, 2024, 09:04:17 AM
First thing I would like to say, that Usyk won that fight fair. There were no judges help, there were no political help. A true undisputed champion. I dont remember anyone holding all the belts recently. One thing I dont understand that why it is a win by split decision, but not a majority decision. I believe that maximum what Fury achieved was a draw. If there were no standing knockdown, then it might be a chance that one judge would be in Fury favor.
Yes he couldn't make it if Fury was more careful and didn't allow that shot that hurt him and made him go knock down. That was a great fight in overall but Fury IMO deserve a rematch here. Take that knock down and Fury could have won the fight easily. Anyway, that happened and we have to respect the result, what I like about Fury is that he respected the result, he is a good sport unlike other boxers who claimed they won after not declaring them the winner.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 19, 2024, 07:48:32 AM
Heartbreaking defeat by the young OKC team. And once again Luka is the key to Dallas. Luka once again was shooting over 50% and it spells disaster to OKC. Luka was on triple double and once again he is back to the western conference finals after failing to reach the playoffs last season with Kyrie joining the team.
OKC almost look sure to have win it as they were able to lead by 15 points or more, but Dallas cameback slowly and in the 4th quarter they have a run that they were able to take the lead. PJ washington wasn't shooting well but his timing was very timely, from the 3 point shots that he made and that failed 3 point shot but he was able to get fouled, and this guy is very clutch as he didnt miss a free throw and played well the last shot by intentionally not shooting the ball.

Yeah, Dallas my team, welcome back to the WCF.

Dallas followed Boston on the teams awaiting for their opponents in the conference finals. Tomorrow will the decision maker as New York will host Indiana while defending champion Denver hosts Minnesota.

2 games tomorrow which is very unpredictable, however, I'd choose the home teams especially for the Knicks if Hart is playing.
143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADERS are not UNEMPLOYED on: May 18, 2024, 09:32:36 PM
TRADERS are not UNEMPLOYED
Crypto trading and unemployment are two different problems, where someone is an expert and understands crypto trading, of course this activity can become a job that makes him a lot of money every day, that's for sure, but it applies to those who are experts in that field/trade.

On the other hand, for those who do not understand trading at all, they only know, they have never studied, they immediately want to trade, If that happens, I'm sure that trading could result in unemployment and disaster for him, the understanding of these two factors depends on how they do it.
Being unemployed means you don’t have any sources that provide you an income, thus you might be only doing things but are not profitable on your part. However, if you are employed, means you are working on a certain job that pays once you’re done, or you end up profiting out from doing the task successfully. Trading could only be a passion that is not making profits or it turns into a job that is giving you consistent income. It depends on how a trader is performing it.

Pacers 116 - 103 New York Knicks
~

Based on the quarter results of this game, the Pacers and Knicks performed about the same except for the second quarter performance. In this quarter, the Knicks clearly performed weakly because of the low field goal percentage, which most likely was the reason for their loss in this game. Anyway, I think Game 7 will be interesting, and if Brunson turns on the berserk mode, the Knicks can probably win this series.

Brunson always steps up his game, but he cannot carry his team alone. They have already missed some key players, and now it looks like Hart is not even certain if he'll play in Game 7. Slowly, the Knicks are going down as they continue losing players due to injury, but if Hart comes back in Game 7, even without OG, I think they are capable of beating the Pacers, as they did in Game 5.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 18, 2024, 01:28:24 PM
Good news for boxing. Jermall Charlo was already stripped of his WBC belt a few days ago. Interim champ Carlos Adames is now the new WBC champion. Maybe it is time for these champion to face each other again so we'll have a new undisputed champ in this division. But I doubt PBC allows Lara and Adames to face Top Rank's unified WBO and IBF champ Janibek Alimkhanuly.

Last weekend, we saw the great Lomachenko became champion again by methodically breaking down ex unified champion George Kambosos. I want to see Loma retiring. He has nothing to prove in this division and I highly doubt he unifies all the belts as he is already running out of time.

Maybe if he losses this fight against Kambosos, he might be thinking of retiring. But him winning in this kind of fashion, dominating the fight and showing that he still has that technique that he is famous for, I don't see Lomachenko of seriously considering retiring after this big win.

And as what we expect, either Davis or Shakur will be good for him. It's going to be a acid test for either this young fighter to face one of the best at 135 lbs and Lomachenko still commands respect at this division and so both fighters would like to test themselves against the great Lomachenko and it's good to have his name in their resume. Lomachenko might not be the cash cow, but he is still the gold standard as far as lightweight division goes.

In that fight, it was Kambosos who would probably retire. Some are suggesting that Loma should  retire now while he is still ahead because he is getting older already and might suffer a loss against a younger champion. But for me, I like to see him challenge Tank Davis or accept a challenge just for us to know if Tank Davis could really beat a technical fighter like Loma.

What we are reading now is probably just rumors but this is close to reality as they are on the same division, and fans would always want to see a unification fight of both champions, so PPV revenue is already guaranteed.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto as job salary - Yay or Nay? on: May 18, 2024, 01:11:50 PM
Let's say you have a job that gives you the option to have your salary paid in BTC, ETC, or any other cryptocurrency, would you prefer that or would you rather still be paid in fiat? If you'd prefer crypto payment, which currency would you choose and why?

This would be your hard-earned money that can either grow on its own or shrink in value within a small time.
Well, it’s a case to case basis. If it pertains to my main job, I would always chose fiat to be my form of salary and just buy bitcoin whenever I have spare money ready to invest. However, if it pertains to one of my side jobs, I think receiving bitcoin as a salary would be a great opportunity for me to store maximum amount of bitcoin and hold them for indefinite years, regardless of how volatile its value is.
147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learning by myself on: May 18, 2024, 12:39:14 PM
If you look carefully at people's profiles, you will most likely understand that there are a lot of people on the forum who came to the forum themselves, learned about the rules themselves, and made a name for themselves.
So what unusual things are you telling us today? You are not alone in your endeavors. Maybe we should pat you on the shoulder and call you a “smart boy”? You should be more humble in your successes and more determined in seeking knowledge and then teaching more people like you. If you don’t like your friend’s behavior, then be different, gain knowledge, teach, and help without betraying them.
Everyone who enter in the forum should be responsible to do their part all by themselves. It’s not just like someone is obliged to help you all throughout the learning process, you should do your own diligence to learn. Otherwise, you won’t be able to prove your value in the forum, and won’t earn the trust and recognition simply because your existence does not make any essence to other members.

Now with regards to the attitude of your friend, I guess that’s just his own way of helping you to learn on your own without relying to other people. But if someone will ask you help in the future, don’t be rude but help him educate himself until he can finally stand on his own feet.
148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is it right to invest in Bitcoin? on: May 17, 2024, 09:47:50 PM
-When is it the right time to invest in bitcon?
-How can one start planning?
-How do you follow up your bitcoin investment and other businesses?
-What are the assurance that you are ready?

Before continuing with investment actions in Bitcoin, knowing more details about the storage wallet must be a priority. The Bitcoin wallet is the most sacred place in investing in Bitcoin because assets can be lost if you ignore knowledge about the wallet.
When knowledge about storage wallets is well and correctly understood, then learning to know about Bitcoin investment and all these questions can be done over time as long as you have the time to do it.

Generally, the answer we often hear is buy when prices are low and sell when prices are high.
For me, long-term Bitcoin investment can be recommended. Investments in Bitcoin can be done regularly using the DCA method.
For me, everyday is a good buy with bitcoin, knowing your goal is to invest for long term. Don’t complicate things, just focus on your goal. Don’t be too much obsessed with price dips and correction, even if you missed them, what’s more important is that you never fail to invest and follow it with DCA. They say price dips and  price corrections are the best opportunities to invest in bitcoin, but in reality, bitcoin’s opportunities are limitless, so feel free to invest regardless of the price, but be mindful when to sell your coins so you can make it massive with bitcoin.
149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lack of capital or knowledge, which one is holding traders back from profits? on: May 17, 2024, 09:21:49 PM
What can you say about this two problems, how will you advice a trader that is suffering from any of this problems or how did you get out of the problem if you had suffered from having lack of capital or lack of knowledge. Which of this problem is more common among traders?.

We always have a solution when we want to try to achieve a better life, but sometimes we are too lazy to try harder to get it.
In terms of trading, both of them do have quite an important role, where money is the first step to reach the stage of being able to make a profit, but without good trading knowledge, money is also unable to provide profits in trading because people don't know how to do it.

Lack of capital can be increased over time and if our trading knowledge is good then it will provide a way to start trading consistently.
Although sometimes trading does not always produce profits, if the trading knowledge we have is good then people can trade with small capital and continue to increase it consistently.
Right, both are crucial in trading but I really think it all boils down to lack of knowledge from the start. If you don’t have sufficient amount of knowledge, you won’t have insights on how to enhance your skills and develop your strategies which I think the most vital in trading.

Money can always be seen but it will never guarantee a successful trading outcome, but if you have even the basic knowledge and skills in trading, you know for sure that you are doing the right thing in trading which may lead to achieve profits.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: May 17, 2024, 07:55:16 AM
I could never loss that big but I could be bankcrupt if I let myself addicted in gambling. just to bad for him, he was smart enough to become successful in his business but too fool to fall on the trap of gambling addiction. if he is really good in business, he can climb from being drown and be successful again, but I wonder how that experience in his life would affect his thinking, some people might have result to committing suicide, I hope he'll stay strong.

This may not happen to us but we can always learn from that news, as long as we are gambling, we are all at risk of getting addicted, but knowing the consequences of addiction will help us minimize the risk of getting into that low life level.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: May 17, 2024, 07:29:49 AM
He won’t lose support regardless of how much of a fraud his career is, but I also don’t see him becoming more of a mainstream attraction.

He had his biggest paycheck when he fought Ryan, so he need to choose his opponent, someone who is popular so he'll benefit from that. And there's been a lot of fighters that are interested in him, I guess he'll choose his fight carefully but not to the point that he'll cherry pick to get an easy win. After the Ryan fight, I expect him to carry that momentum for another big one, but turns out he ended up protect his belt.

Anyway, I think Martin is also a good opponent,  though lack of experience but this could be a good test for Davis before getting into the big one.

As per rumor, we have the names of Lomachenko and Stevenson being link to Davis for a possible unification fight, hopefully will happen.
152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People are interesting talking more about their success stories. on: May 16, 2024, 09:21:56 PM
If those failures will only scare the newbies and won’t make them motivated in the process, then I don’t think they’re still needed to be emphasized or mention in the post. That will only make them lost interest rather than to challenge them and get motivated to finally go out from their comfort zone and take the risk in order to gain future profits.
153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dropping Bitcoin price could significant rewards for investors in future. on: May 16, 2024, 02:34:33 PM
Those who are doing DCA are the real winners because no matter what they keep accumulating Bitcoin and during bull run or major pump they would be in profit and even during the bear run they won't be in loss as they purchase BTC on literally every price.

Most people do say dip is a great opportunity but once the market dips we see people panicking and selling off and they don't buy during dip except for tenured veterans.
Bitcoin price dips brings out the best opportunity in bitcoin, but I don’t think newbies are aware of it since we all know when bitcoin price reaches another peak, a lot of newbies rush into buying bitcoin believing that the price would reach another heights. Little did they know that bitcoin price is very unpredictable and it won’t follow a  certain path. One day it moves up, the other day it drops low. And they will only realize this once they are already at loss.
154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dips are temporary but Bitcoin is forever. on: May 13, 2024, 04:49:02 PM
Buy Bitcoin before the DIP, buy during the DIP, and buy after the DIP. Bitcoins isn't going anywhere anytime soon but most DIPs will be long gone and long gone for good. There are so many DIP price you can't buy Bitcoin at but you will always have those Bitcoin you bought during the DIP at an higher worth in the future, cease every opportunity of buying during the DIP, buy as much as you can at the moment cause DIPs are temporary but Bitcoin stays forever.
Well might as well do some dca cause its kinda hard to know its dip as bitcoin continously improve its market stance overtime. Their product stays as it is and everyone can acess it so the innovation of bitcoin will be forever there unless a new one came with a super used on everyone. The market valuation depends on people and it really a chaotic one when some whales are playing with it through out the time.
Yes, it’s really hard to predict accurately when are we going to see dips in the market, and even if it’s currently happening, still there’s no assurance that it’s already the dips. That’s why others resort into waiting for more dips in the market hoping to witness the deepest dip. And yet they end up missing the opportunity to invest then.

DCA is the key. Without it, you can never grow your bitcoin portfolio since all you do is waiting for the best timing to invest, not knowing that the best timing has passed already.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chased loss, got it back and lost everything. on: May 13, 2024, 03:55:02 PM

The best way to gamble is for you to gamble with an amount that you can afford to lose, and also accept the outcome of your bet, so that if you lose you walk home happily, and if you win, you will be satisfied with whatever amount that you won either big or small.

No real gambler would be happy going home with a loss. I mean, at least most of us because even though we can say that gambling is just for fun but the challenge of winning is still there. Personally, I consider gambling as a challenge, because I don't waste money on it, i learned it, study on how to win. However, currently, I have nothing to be proud of as I haven't reach my target yet which is to be profitable, but one day, I will be one of the few that will prove to the world that making money in gambling consistently is possible.
You sound as if you are new to gambling, and not like an old gambler, because no one on earth can win consistently daily, that is impossible and this is why it is advice that we don't gamble for profit so that we don't become victims to addiction.

I know that no gambler loves to win and will not walk home happily when you lose, but that is gambling for you, and you must accept the outcome of your bet be it a win or loss. This is the only way that you can use to gamble responsible and that is why you should only use a small amount of money that will not make you sad, if you lose it. No matter the studies and researches that you do to improve your gambling skill, you will still loss more than you win, because you cannot win the house hedge or sportbookers

Didn't say winning gambling consistently daily but I said consistently. That means like being profitable int he business your are running and that you are a long term winner which is opposite to most gamblers. If you don't believe that making money in gambling is possible, then treat gambling for fun and forget your losses so you'll not be addicted if that's the risk you are thinking, but not everyone are the same.

157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: May 13, 2024, 04:09:46 AM
Loma seemed to be having problem with quick fighters as he loss to Haney, so if I would choose whom he'll fight next, I'd choose Davis as the latter loves to engage and even if Loma is older than him, I think I would bet on him if he's the underdog.

I think that is a bad style matchup for Tank. The only reason Loma hasn’t been more dominant at lightweight, like he was in lower divisions, is because he is always at a size disadvantage. With Loma being taller than Tank, he will be able to use his angles and distance more effectively. Tank will get easily outboxed, his only chance is to land a big knockout punch. I only wish Tank had this desire to fight Loma when Loma was younger, but he blatantly ducked him and his promoter Floyd as well as Leonard Ellerbe came up with all kinds of stupid excuses why they wouldn’t make the fight.

If Tank is actually serious about wanting this fight, it can easily be made with one phone call by Bob Arum and Turki Alalshikh. We will see if Al Haymon will actually allow it or if we’ll be seeing Tank against another in-house cherry pick after he beats Frank Martin.

That's what I want to see so Loma's name will be at the conversation again because he slowly losses his popularity after he got defeated by Lopez, but now that he is the champion again, he can go with anyone as Loma doesn't his opponent, ducking opponent is not his game. Maybe Tank or probably a rematch with Lopez would be fine, both would produce a firepower fight and the fans would love it.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 13, 2024, 03:09:01 AM
Just like I thought, we cannot underestimate the MVP. Nikola Jokic won on the road again with 35 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds to tie the series at 2-2.
But the key player is Aaron Gordon, he had the hot hands with 11/12 field goals, talk about being efficient, he did it today. Jamal Murray also did some damage and I guess that's the recipe for the Nuggets to win. Their trio must work together on both ends of the floor to win it.

Antman was really fun to watch though, but the help was not there, especially from KAT. 5/18 field goals, that sucks and he got easily frustrated with the referees missing some fouls. He cannot do that.

Another great game by the Nuggets, I thought the Wolves would make the right adjustment but it seems like they can't stop the play of the Nuggets. Gordon was the key in the game, he only missed 1 shot and had been a huge contributor after game 3. As long as he keep his confidence high, I think we might see a different scenario opposite to some people's expectation after the Nuggets were down 0-2.

Anyone think that the Nuggets will win this series in 4-2?

And another story, will Gobert pay a fine again? He did the money sign again. We might hear that news later.
The league should not make an exemption, Gobert has to accept they loss, not a sore loser.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you successfully influenced someone to invest in bitcoin ? on: May 12, 2024, 04:06:34 PM
Well, I once invited someone, and he managed to own some assets at that time. However, since the price of bitcoin has dropped, I think he has gone out and looked for other investments. Well, he was grateful, but right now, I think he has another job. However, up to now, I don't want to invite anyone, but I just explain what I know. Sometimes, when someone is invited to invest in something, they do something out of line, such as trading with what they can't afford to lose, then blame the person who invited them.
I felt the same way too. I usually tell my close friends about bitcoin way back then, but now I decided to stop doing it because at the end of the day, instead of helping them and be grateful for it, I end up becoming responsible of their losses even if they know from the start that I never fail to warn them how risky bitcoin investment is.

Now, I’m still open to talk about bitcoin only when they asked to, but I make sure not to convince or influence them at all. Bitcoin is a complex investment most especially for those who are not knowledgeable about it, hence investing without prior learning acquisition will only go into waste and lose all the capital being risk. Invest at your own risk.
160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before Trading Bitcoin you should... on: May 12, 2024, 03:36:41 PM
Most of the people now start trading business only hoping to make a lot of money in a short period of time, but those people lack much knowledge and experience. People who start trading in the market without experience are definitely more likely to lose money, although people can make some profit when trading in Bitcoin, but it is also risky. I think it's best to start trading when you can meet your needs and save money by having a good job. When you are motivated to trade, you must enter the market with the intention of losing the amount you started the trade with. We know that most of the time loss is more than profit in trading, but it is different in investment where long time waiting can be profitable, but training is likely to lose money.  So I think when you start trading, start trading with the amount of money you can afford to lose.
I think starting trading with the intention of making a lot of money is like a motivation for me, hence you make sure that you know the basics first and has gained required knowledge and experience even with demo trading account first. Also, learning from the experiences of early traders can create an advantage, most especially if you know you still lack those trading experiences that will help you succeed in trading.

Furthermore, once you decide to trade, never see it as your major source of income because that would be hardly possible for beginner traders, instead keep earning from your main job and just consider trading as your side job, I guess that way the pressure to gain profits in trading would not be too high.
