141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the people or group of people will buy the btc top ? on: February 02, 2021, 11:34:39 PM
I think even before the bitcoin price hits $100K, there will be a lot of people that own them. I don't think it will just be the investors or the old-time bitcoiners. At that time for sure, there are a lot of people that are using bitcoin not just as an investment but as a way of payment online or even offline if that would be happening.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin is like planting trees on: February 02, 2021, 02:22:20 PM
That is a great comparison. In the past, there are a lot of investors that are thinking that bitcoin and crypto currencies will never flourish in the future but they are wrong. They are saying that it is a bubble that will pop in the future not thinking that it is a ship that would sail upwards and will keep on going up the more people rides it.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 31, 2021, 11:25:47 PM
Illegal gambling takes place because there are people who take part in this and the users who continue to support it despite knowing it's illegal.
It's good to see that the government of Thailand is planning to take measures to stop illegal gambling and convert it into legal ones so that it benefits their nation but I hardly think that this would stop illegal gambling.
The owners will definitely find an alternative to continue illegal gambling unless the government is continuously tracing them and blacklisting the owners for regular investigation.
Those people who are patronizing illegal casino I think is avoiding extra fees that a government legal casino ask or they have something that they are avoiding from legal casinos. That's right, Government should be actively tracking down illegal casinos especially if they know that the gamblers population is increasing in their country. It will be a good source of income for the country for just collecting a gambling tax revenue.

Knowing that gambling is banned in Thailand, I think people just wanted to gamble or use their money to bet but it is illegal so they find their ways. I agree that they should just legalized gambling as it is a good source of taxes for them. If they will be really strict with these regulations, they will be taking the hard way dealing with these people.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Joseph Stahura avoids jail for all the campaign funds he used for gambling. on: January 31, 2021, 11:20:13 PM
I've found a seperate article regarding this case which is more detailed.

Former Whiting mayor sentenced to probation, home detention on wire fraud, false tax return charges

This article shows the side of the mayor, and the citizens he had served in his service for 35 years.

So, in regards to this article, the former Whiting Mayor has been a good mayor in the community.

So that place has a lot of corrupt politicians to start with based on the article. He's the first one that showed remorse as the judge says and the are not mad because they know that the former Whiting Mayor is a great man. Still, he misused his funds and even though he is a great man, he still committed a crime. 1 or 2 mistakes could really take you down lower.

one mistake and your reputation is ruined. but who knows what really transpired for the past 35 years, right? anyway, maybe the judge was not giving him tough time because he did good service to his community for the past decades.  i believe there are a lot more politicians doing the same. actually across the globe, there will be more cases like this. but only few are being exposed with their lifestyle

He had a great lawyer, to be honest. He's telling the judge how different he is with the other mayors that corrupted the country. Another thing is that there are those who put their money in that campaigns funds and not mad about what happened but still, he needs to pay for that crime. If this will happen to other people, like a non-pilitician took that money to buy his parents a medicine, that would be different, right?

146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What has been your longest streak of dice losses using martingale ..? on: January 31, 2021, 03:44:59 PM
In dice games, I have experienced up to 20X being busted when I tried to use Vps when playing a dice game to find out how many long reds occurred as a sample. but what really affects is the game seed. I have also tried to use Payout 1.01 Never been up to 4X red. My advice if you intend to bet for a long time, do the calculation on your base bet before you make a bet

I don't think VPNs would affect your gambling activities on a gambling site unless they are not permitting you to use those VPNs. At that point, I don't think you would be able to have access to the site if they are not allowing VPNs. What happened to you is not because of the VPN but maybe just because you are unlucky that day.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: January 31, 2021, 03:38:56 PM
It is also same with your country. This pandemic, here in my country the people don't know how to earn money because the government make a decision that people need to stay at home for the safety. But the problem, food here is very expensive, it costs twice. Especially the meat, vegetables and the travel expenses cost high. That's affects too much in our economy.

My country is Philippines.

At this time of the year, I think that the line, "to stay at home for safety" is quite outdated these days. There are a lot of people that still go outside even though they are not working, even children are going outside and even not following the health protocols, and the mistakes of the government about the decisions they are making are also a problem. Right now, foods are expensive, travelling is expensive and people can't even afford to go to town.
They just don't care because they think they are strong and can't be effected by covid-19.

Travelling is expensive in my country because we need to pay extra money for "Swab test", swab test is like checking our body got effected by covid / not.

Btw, im from Indon.

As far as I know, some people are also required to take these tests if they are going out of town. The problem though is that most of them don't care and just do what they want as long as they can do whatever they wanted. They don't care whether they'll carry the virus, but when they actually have them, they will be blaming the government and the system.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich have too much on: January 31, 2021, 03:01:43 PM
What needy people need is knowledge and proper education to raise their lives and not rely on what the rich people can give to them. Cryptocurrency is also a tool that can help the poor if they have knowledge about it.

Poor people? How can they use crypto currency? They don't even have a social media account, they can't use phones, how can bitcoin help these people? If you consider yourself poor, then there are a lot of people that are poorer than you. Most of them are just so lucky that we live surrounded by mountains that is why they can eat 2 times a day.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an investment on: January 31, 2021, 02:54:14 PM
That is your decision whether you will be selling it or you will spend it. There are a lot of price movements in the past so I am certain that you will have your profit. In my opinion, I think it is better if you will just hold your bitcoins and if you want to spend some of them, you can just sell some of them so you can have an excess that you can wait for profit in the future.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi Nakamoto is Revealed Today, How Much it will Cost to Read ? on: January 31, 2021, 02:08:37 PM
I won't pay anything to him. I want to know who Satoshi Nakamoto is but I don't like the idea of paying the writer before reading something that he made unless he is a legitimate source of information or he really knows something about Satoshi. That smells like a scam, I mean instead of just reading his work, I'd rather put it in bitcoin.

152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino through cheating on: January 31, 2021, 12:32:50 PM
This story inspires me. It takes a lot of guts to pull it off. I wonder how it turned out for the students their techniques. Did such skill work for them also? Or did the casinos get smarter? Anyways it feels good to know the house doesn't always win  Grin

I don't know how that inspired you since they are cheating. I don't know if you want to cheat to beat the casino or you just want to beat the casino. With the system that we have now, that is not a skill, that is cheating. Obviously, the casino banned these because it is cheating, I don't think they would be allowing that for so long unless someone knows something and kept it for himself.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 31, 2021, 11:23:12 AM
What do you think ?
Should they make reforms before shutting down the whole thing ? I think this could benefit people and the government as a whole.

First of all let me know if gambling is legal in thailand ? If it is not legal then no one can run casino officially however people can still play online.
If the gambling is allowed in thailand, then government should give certain timeline to all the casino owner to register their casino. Failure to do so could result in legal action against them.

Going into legal actions against a lot of gamblers is very time consuming. You need state attorneys and judges ready to deal with all these cases which is going to cost a lot of time and will also turn a lot of people and families against the politics of Thailand. Wouldn't it be better to try and spend that time and money in a more useful manner? Fully legalising gambling would mean the government is actually profiting of it and gives their citizens a better legal framework if something goes wrong.

I agree with this proposition. I mean it is a win-win situation for both of the parties. People could gamble as long as they want legally and the government could get taxes that they could use and would help the country grow. It is better than these people finding a way, getting through a hole of a needle just to bet their money illegaly.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich have too much on: January 30, 2021, 11:12:03 PM
Isn't that too much? I mean, there are a lot of rich that people that already help poor people but I don't think it would always be the case. Just imagine if there are a lot of people that would take advantage of it and just rely on that certain law. Most of these people worked hard achieving what they have right now, for starters, they rich people and the government should give them sources of profits and not this.

156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High possibility major governments will BAN Bitcoin in the near future on: January 30, 2021, 10:13:20 PM
Since they can't stop bitcoin, I don't think they will be banning it in the future. To be able to gain something from it, obviously, they will be making a law to tax it in the future. From the exchange or maybe in any form of way but I hope it still continue what it is right now. I don't see any taxation to crypto currencies to be effective as people can just evade it as long as they wanted it.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There's nothing special about BTC, you will make MUCH more $ in the stock market on: January 30, 2021, 03:00:51 PM
Well, I did think that bitcoin will never go up but boy I was wrong. I've been talking about that in the time that bitcoin is still hitting at three digits, right now the price is at 5 digits and it is still going strong. Let the people decide where they want to put their money, stocks and bitcoin have their difference but this time, I am siding with bitcoin.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 30, 2021, 02:56:16 PM
It is more dangerous on the internet as you will never know what will your children click in there.
Yeah right.

With one simple search about a casino or about gambling through a browser like Google Chrome, the algorithm will turn the ads to those services that have ads in gambling.

And when a child goes in front of a computer and did some research or even by just watching youtube videos, it's possible that an ad like that would come. Well in FB, I've seen gambling ads, those sponsored posts/ads.

The sad thing here is that they don't even need to search it. There are a lot of websites on the internet and most of them don't actually filter their site to be child friendly. As koreanovelas and animes are a hit to children nowadays, there are a lot of these sites in this genre that have ads all over them not just about gambling but also includes adult contents.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been to a place where people gamble on Car Race on: January 30, 2021, 02:03:48 PM
Racing, I don't have any experience with it but I can tell you, I can drive. There are a lot of racing tournaments that happened here but it is not actually legal but it is not illegal. Most of the people are just thinking that they are having fun but there are a lot of money involved. Usually it is motorcycle which they call it "moded"? or customized so it can be faster.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 30, 2021, 01:13:33 PM
The problem there is though is that I think they will be banning these gambling places for good. One of the main reasons I am seeing in this article is that there are a lot of people there that break the rules or the safety measures being applied because of the pandemic. I don't think that the owners have a choice since they will be sent straight to jail.

The only difference now is that the operators of illegal casinos will be forced to pay additional bribes to the cops. Thailand is just like any other third world country, with corruption being rampant among the bureaucracy and police force. Despite all these restrictions, the majority of the illegal casinos would continue to operate by bribing the politicians and the policemen. Once in a while, a few people may be arrested just to show that the cops are serious about implementing the law.

Oh, that is one. Obviously, some of those big underground gambling places would be backed up by someone inside the government. In some parts of our country, there are also a lot of illegal cockfightings and usually, when police came, they would just run on mountains or hide in the forest just to run from the police with their cocks.
