1081  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is becoming legal in my country! Any business idea? on: May 27, 2020, 11:59:45 PM
This depends on your country though but in terms of your country legalizing bitcoin, the first thing that popped in my mind is an ATM machine. Maybe an ATM machine that would let people buy btc so they would be able to use it or maybe just invest in it. If you already have a business, start announcing that you would be having discounts when they pay bitcoin so they would be using in your business.
1082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vaccine against Covid-19 should be made before sports events will take place? on: May 27, 2020, 11:27:52 PM
There will be some continuations obviously, they are waiting for the vaccine but they can't just let their fans wait next year. They will find a way to continue games for example games without audiences or maybe they will do certain measures to continue the games. I think that would be the only way they can continue games, no audiences, and just do it in certain places.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DISCUSSION] How to overcome a big loss in gambling? on: May 27, 2020, 09:48:10 PM
Luckily, only a few people here in our country could spend money like that on betting. That is almost 150,000 pesos and in a province that I am living in, that is a huge amount. As I  said, people here are not that addicted to gambling so people can really stop when they wanted to. Losses are inevitable but since some people are not really that addicted, they could lose an amount of money and just stop for a while.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Choice To Stay Longer Online Or Casinos on: May 27, 2020, 09:09:02 PM
I would be doing it online. The offer in casinos are really tempting and you never know what to do since either you can accept those offers or oyur money can't hold that long even though you are winning some. Online bets might be boring sometimes but that is also a perk so I could stop once in a while.
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are afraid on investing to bitcoin? on: May 27, 2020, 02:31:40 PM
Well, I don't think people are that quite confident to invest that much money in cryptocurrencies l, even in bitcoin. Here in our country, bitcoin is misunderstood by a lot of peopole. And since it is a decentralized crypto, people believe that it is a way for criminals to do illegal transaction or way for people to scam other people. When a lot of people doubt it like that, I don't think a lot of people would consider buying or investing in it.
1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Spend Bitcoin? on: May 27, 2020, 11:33:22 AM
We can't really spend bitcoin here in our country that easy since there are a lot of people that still don't know what it is. If we really wanted to use it though, we can buy some shoppee or lazada points out of a local exchange using that bitcoin. It might not be the same as you people using bitcoin directly but, well, I am also using it.
1087  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: May 27, 2020, 12:31:03 AM
It is advisable to always have your savings at your place, not trusting the banks or anyone else. Because in which case, you have the opportunity to lose all your money, and literally stay with nothing. But in what exactly to store, everyone already decides for himself.

It depends really. Fiat is not the same as bitcoin where you could manage it yourself as long as you can secure your own wallet, and most of the people say that it is better to take care of your bitcoins than putting it in an exchange since you could consider that bitcoin not yours at all. Banks could give interests and not all of the people could save their money by themselves, another thing is that people always take loans to banks. That is the reason why I think people can't leave without banks.
1088  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: May 26, 2020, 11:57:04 PM
Lets make people to use crypto for paying, for example, the electric bill or something similar, this is the easiest way.

In our country, a local exchange actually lets us use our bitcoin to pay our bills, it is great since other than that, they also give cashbacks when we do that. Then someone actually explained to me that we are not actually paying bitcoin but just giving them bitcoin and convert it to fiat and then send it to the electric company.
But at least there has been a real movement if bitcoin is a crypto currency and not just about crypto assets, with us willing to use or spend the bitcoin we have to pay bills it is good enough to increase adoption for real use of bitcoin, because if there is no small movement like this how can bitcoin get bigger adoption in many sectors as expected.

Thanks for the explanation. That makes it clear. I guess I would be telling this to my friends explaining that it is also a good thing. Either way, I can't really stop them from using the local exchange since they are also selling in-game currencies, and as the release of TI10 Battle Pass was done, we need that cashback in that exchange.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: May 26, 2020, 11:00:40 PM
Too fast and it seems this year would really be something massive in talks of prizepool which can potentially overtake on what had been accumulated in last years TI.

Seems like my campaign earnings is on danger to purchase up BP. Cheesy

I am also shocked not just because they already released it with 2 new personas and 3 new arcanas but because, we all know that each TI, Battle pass lasts after the event but right now, it is delayed and will take place next year depending on the situation, that just means the longer time we have the Battle pass and longer time to save that money pot for next year. This might be the plan for Valve right now, show how high they are than the past Fortnite's tournament and other tournaments as well.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: May 26, 2020, 09:40:45 PM
If you have really good gambling skills, then you probably will already have a certain bankroll.
However, if you need funds, then you probably lost somewhere, which means your skills are not as good as you think.
As a result, you can fall into a debt trap from which you can get out a very long time.

You can't guarantee you will always win in gambling and never lose even for once. If he lose, it doesn't mean he is not good in gambling (that's maybe he is unlucky or shit happens). Even if you are good gambler, you still can't be certain you will be earn much profit from borrowed money

That is the problem here. You might have millions and millions of money in your pocket, but you will not be certain how the dice rolls when you gamble so that money might not be enough. The thing here is that you are dealing with gambling, and as long that it is gambling, the risk is there and there are odds that you will lose.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble to escape your problem? on: May 26, 2020, 03:07:32 PM
Well, the year I am gambling, I thought I would be able to make something great from gambling. The reason for that though is that I won a lot in the first months and I bought myself a motorcycle out of those, after years that never happened again. I do get some winnings but I am not really getting back the losses I had, that is when I realized that gambling will not make you reach anything at all unless you are smart enough to run with your profits and never go back.
1092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to answer when asked "Can I make money mining bitcoin?" on: May 26, 2020, 02:15:59 PM
Depends on how much you want to invest. If you will just be buying a rig, you might be able to mine some bitcoins but it will take you a lot of time to get back that money you invested in. If you want to make money out of mining these days, some rigs, then consider solar panel.

That's what I was thinking. If you will invest also in solar panel if I have the funds. Big investment at the start but you can recover it for few months. And the rest will be free electricity. You can freely mine bitcoin afterwards but of course you need to check what kind of miner would be good to invest on. Users here already posted some links where to calculate your potential earnings.
indeed when you build with that method you can get free electricity but you have to know that when mining in bitcoin is not as easy as before because bitcoin has increased difficulty every 5 years and reduces the results obtained by the mining so you need high capital to build electricity and takes a very long time to be able to return the capital from what you have invested.

Well, the halving does not take place every 5 years but 4 years. Either way, besides the fact that solar panels are not that cheap, that goes the same with the mining rigs. If you will be building a huge number of mining rigs, you should also consider the place of your facility. These will be so noisy and people might report you most of the time.

1095  Economy / Economics / Re: a disease or a virus or is there business in it? on: May 24, 2020, 11:02:07 AM
Is there any chance that when the corona virus appears, some scientists have discovered the antidote of the virus itself so that there is an element of intention regarding the spread of the corona virus because there is a business element in it so that the antidote for the corona virus is sought after by many people, this is like a film about spreading viruses that can kill and destroy the economy globally. what do you think about this?

If scientists have already found the antitode then it would be very stupid from their side not to give it to the public.
There is an extremely demand for this coronavirus antidote right now and they can make a lot of money by that.

Well, that is the theory. It is even told me that the virus actually came from a lab in China, we don't know the truth though but all we know is that people are dying, people are struggling the same with the countries that they are in and if that is actually true, it is a just those movie shit we are wathcing.
1096  Economy / Economics / Re: Get ready for more tax. Save your BTC! on: May 24, 2020, 10:01:52 AM
despite that, I think next year will be the year of suffering if people will not be conditioned to live with it as the economy continue to suffer in different parts of the world tax will not be the only issue we have to expect more.

I know right? In our country, the government are planning to tax Netflix and other streaming services. Just imagine putting tax on YouTube and Facebook which is literally free to use, I do understand the problem but one of the things people go to this quarantine would be taxed, I think that is a bit too much.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling? on: May 23, 2020, 11:59:31 PM
To be honest, physical gambling may be pressuring sometimes but when you are used to it, there is no problem at it at all. You will never be pressured by shouting people, you might even go with it and make your game more fun. Some might say that being in a physical gambling means it is pressuring since there are a lot of people but no, it will really lift up your game.
1098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: May 23, 2020, 10:48:43 PM
I think this depends on the gambler itself. Online there are a lot of dice games, it might be the most popular game in online casinos for a long time now. In terms of physical casinos, slots are so popular as lines and lines of slots machines are present in a lot of casinos. So in the end, even though the other have a higher chance of winning, they will still choose where they are used to and where they are comfortable to.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Games on: May 23, 2020, 10:02:45 PM
Obviously Dice. Been playing that for a long time now, to be honest, its been a long time since I bet again on dice, maybe right now I can do some good free bets. I don't know most of the games here so I don't have a choice but to go with it.
1100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin twitter account today asks "If you met satoshi what would you say?" on: May 23, 2020, 09:33:37 PM
He is Satoshi Nakamoto, I would be freaking out if that happens. But I would be replying to him with a question, "Why me?". There are a lot of other people he can send an email to, why me? Then after that, I will obviously send my bitcoin address since you never know how generous Satoshi Nakamoto is and might even give me some good good btcs.
