161  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin Help The Poor on: January 29, 2021, 11:46:27 PM
Maybe Bitcoin was aimed to help the poor, but the broken people have no money to invest in it. When you have to live paycheck to paycheck, making investments is the last thing you think about.
What do you mean by broke people? You don't have to buy 1 btc that's why we have satoshis, I'm sure broke people can afford 30$ to invest on bitcoin and grow from there, when I enter crypto space I had nothing, I started with Airdrops, making 4$ and 2$ here and there until I made my first 70$ from airdrop and I invested that in bitcoin, today it's all story

I don't know where you live but if you are in a third world country, I don't think you are seeing those people. All of the money they are earning is going all around to their family. They are more focused on earning for their family not just because it is not enough but because that is the only thing they can do. Most of the people I know can't even buy things for themselves. They work themselves to death just to give their family food.

$30 in our country is a huge amount that can feed their family in a week. They don't have any technologies in their houses except for radios and keypad phones that are given by their neighbor. They aren't literate about technologies. To be honest, I tried talking to them about investing, as they say, teach a man how to fish, something like that but he said that their funds are not even enough to go around the family, obviously, he can't afford to lose it to investments because, to be honest, we are not all like you that earned so quickly. It will not be the same thing for all of us that would earn the same as you.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: January 29, 2021, 11:19:03 PM
Meat is now so expensive and that also includes Chicken meat and Pork. Most of the people here in our province told me that it is because of the people buying people's pigs and bringing them to cities or rural places and to be sold there. Our province now are having a low source of meat which also means having a high value these days. Being in a pandemic, this would be really hard for the people.

Recently there were incidents of African swine fever and bird flu in several countries, which necessitated mass culling of domestic pigs and poultry. This might have pushed the prices up, by a certain amount (due to scarcity). But overall, the growth in meat prices have been very low when compared to the other assets. Most of the meat production now happens in industrial scale facilities and this has made meat more affordable to consumers.
I have always said that the hunger that exists in the world, the increase in food prices, as well as the shortage of these products for all the inhabitants of the planet, these problems are created artificially. I am sure that the government benefits from the combination of circumstances that exist at the moment in order to control the relevant sectors with the help of these problems.

I don't see that problem being "artificial". With the pandemic happening, most of the people are stacking up their food so that they will be able to last for days inside the house without going out. Most of the rural places are short when it comes to food resources the reason the demand for food is increasing. As jobs at that time are not as normal, the sources of foods are not that many. The reason some people buy other meat from other places which also means slowly depleting that place food which makes other food expensive.
163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $50k by the end of 2021? on: January 29, 2021, 11:15:09 PM
I agree and I think if the price drops in the incoming weeks, that will be the last time that the price will fall at that mark. That would trigger another pump as more and more investors would invest seeing the price rose last year until we hit new ATHs. I don't know about $50K but I think we can hit higher than $50K like $60K or $70K.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk adds #Bitcoin to his Twitter bio on: January 29, 2021, 10:46:59 PM
This is funny because even though he might be positive about Bitcoin, we all know that he is also just memeing about it. Though this memes he does has so much impact. I hope he keeps doing though. Stupid people buying because of a single hashtag is food for the traders.

Well, you can't just say they are stupid, most of them might be following Elon Musk's investment ventures the reason why seeing this hashtag make them invest in bitcoin. I don't what should I feel but maybe he's just meme-ing or maybe he's just having a great time being invested during the pump that happened.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 29, 2021, 10:43:55 PM
As I'm telling you, it's not the government that will ask them to and approach them. You don't understand it. It isn't the government that will give them special treatment with sort of "approach" you're saying.

If it's illegal then it is illegal.
Calm down bro. The government can say it is illegal and legal, and they can also change from illegal to legal if they can approach the illegal gambling and ask the owner to make it legal. Maybe they can give special treatment to them as you say, and I think if that treatment is a win-win solution, the owner will think about it. Who knows, with making that deal, the government can invite them to make their business legal, so they do not have to bribe the officials. I think not all of the owners want to have an illegal gambling business.

The problem there is though is that I think they will be banning these gambling places for good. One of the main reasons I am seeing in this article is that there are a lot of people there that break the rules or the safety measures being applied because of the pandemic. I don't think that the owners have a choice since they will be sent straight to jail.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What has been your longest streak of dice losses using martingale ..? on: January 29, 2021, 10:04:07 PM
Not really a big time gambler thats why the maximum i had able to experience is 12-13x loss in a row until my capital bust into thin air. This really proves out that
martingale doesnt really work in any ways and this is the fastest way on burning up your money if you do believe that it would really just work or be an advantage into your side.
To think off on the amount that you can profit after having a series of losses isnt really just worth in any angle but hence people do still keep using this
very old and classic way of strategy into their gambling activity.

I guess this depends on the gambler, right? There are still a lot of gamblers that still uses this betting system even though they know the risk that comes with it. Most of them have a huge fund that they can lose that the reason why they continue using it. Still, I read a lot of stories about them having a huge amount and still lost using this.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another insane win!! $ 1B mega million jackpot on: January 29, 2021, 03:48:14 PM
I think if I will be winning that huge amount I will be bringing some of the people I really trust like my mother or my father. I will not be taking that huge amount without anyone with me. I don't know if they will be giving that prize in cash but all I know is that it will be given in cheque and other processes would also occur which I think I needed a hand from my family.
The immediate relatives will be your first people to trust in. But having someone outside that family circle that will serve as your representative, that's the risk.
That is the reason why I wouldn't be allowing a representative to take my money, I'll just bring some people to escort me and tell them that I'll be getting something which they don't have an idea. Well, those people will be the most trusted in my own basis.

Well, to be honest, I am kind of observant when it comes to my relatives especially to those people that would risk these kinds of things. Although I don't think we will be having a problem with this thing since in the first place, I am not betting on these lotteries so there is no way that I will be getting the win in these lotteries.
168  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic: good for the bitcoin market or bad? on: January 29, 2021, 03:40:16 PM
Indeed, due to pandemic the bitcoin is pumping. We need to stay at home to avoid pandemic, also we need to work and need to earn money. Online business is the answer and the crypto currency is the one who fill our needs. Also some businessman (like companies, countries and investor) need to earn. This is the reason why the bitcoin value is very huge they investing in cryto currency over investing on their business. As of now the bitcoin is good due to alternative source of income which is bitcoin influence in our market.

Bitcoin is a great alternative source of income to some of us but I don't think it would be the same with other people especially those that are illiterate when it comes to these types of technologies. Another thing is that they rather work instead of investing their money in crypto currencies. Not because they don't trust cryptos, but because they can't trade or invest just like us.

This price movements of meat might be low to you but for a poor province like us, this is insane. The price increased $1 - $2 per measure, that is too much for most of the families. Most of the families are also affected especially those with stores or food chains which always buys meat like pork and chicken which also means affecting their consumers.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk adds #Bitcoin to his Twitter bio on: January 29, 2021, 11:32:20 AM
Is this triggering the price increase that is happening right now? It is not the same price increase as past week's but the price after that seems to be staying at $32K which go down at $30K. I thought it will be touching down again at $20K but checking it again, it is now at $36K and might even reach $40K tomorrow. This man is really influential.
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: January 28, 2021, 11:17:48 PM
I am not expecting the price to go that high or maybe I don't have any plans when it happens. That is a massive price change and seeing the price that we have right now seems impossible, still, a lot of users will rejoice. The world is using bitcoin but I don't know at what level but I know that would be amazing and I will just enjoy that time as long as I can.
Who knows right? but then when that time comes I hope I have my own 1bitcoin so that I could enjoy all the things that I can now afford with my money, I will use that to buy coins and stocks first, I need to ensure my family's finances together with my future, and next thing will be my dreams, maybe I will start studying again, round trip around the world, donating to some people and foundations and lastly I will create my own company, that is the dream since I was a child.

That is why we should really stack while we can now. We never know when will it happen so as long as we can, and as long as the price is still at this point, we should save and hold. There are a lot of things that I could think during that time, most of them using my bitcoin most of the time through online stores or merchants.

We find it impossible for now thinking about $1m, just like the situation happening right now nobody expected the reality of $30k per btc and yet we're already experiencing nowadays. Let's cherish every moment that bitcoin was really proving it's capabilities. However, it remains volatile and needs more time to hold before taking our profit because having enough patience would benefit us in the future.

To be honest, we've talked about that in the past and not just $30K, we've been talking about $50K even. It might not reach that high but still, we are so close. Then we talk about $100K which seems possible considering the recent movements but we also need to rest, for now, corrections and there will be a lot of people that would reinvest.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 28, 2021, 10:58:31 PM
I think it will be better if we will be explaining these things to them at a certain age. I know it would be early but they might be more curious and rebel at that because we are getting strict into things. I think we should explain those things so they will not be bothered by that in the future while they grew up. The more they are curious since they don't know what those are, the more they will want to experience those things.
Proper guidance and parenthood would be the solution into this one because if you do able  to  raise up your child well where they do aware on things that do happen or sharing off on your experience  and knowledge then that would really be a good tool for them to avoid those things while they do grow.It might not be totally getting rid of with gambling but at least they do know the basics and knowing that it can really help  them out when it comes to finances. For advertisements like this  then its really totally irresponsible on letting those ads to be aired on national television and thats why it do really possibly create a batch of new gamblers in the future once do curiosity sparks out.

Well, we are talking about an advertisement on Facebook that seems to be very attractive to children, not the television. In terms of advertisements on television, here in our country, it is so strict and I don't think this will even one advertisement about gambling would get through. It is more dangerous on the internet as you will never know what will your children click in there.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: January 28, 2021, 10:09:20 PM
Why is this a "Pro Boxing Match"? I know that Jake Paul is making his way into boxing, still, I don't see him lasting in that path but his opponent is an MMA fighter whose punching skills is not that great even inside the octagon. I don't know who will win here but even though Ben had a lot of matches than Jake, I think Jake has a higher chance of winning this match.

He has a good punch against a weak fighter like Robinson I don't know to someone like Ben Asken, it's different when you are hitting an inexperienced fighter to a well-expeirenced fighter if Paul has a good punching power he will have to find a way to connect it against Ben Asken who is very agile, this is going to be an interesting match. whoever wins here will have a good career and will be back in the limelight both fighters need this win.

I don't know any of the backstories about this fight but all I know now is that Ben Asken is representing those fighters that are so annoyed and got hot-blooded that want to face Jake Paul on the ring. In fact, if you will be looking through the internet, there are a lot of fighters that want to fight Jake Paul, he's been after professional athletes and even taunted McGregor for a fight.

If I will be putting myself in the winner’s shoes as well, I would not come forward just like that to claim the huge amount that I have won. I would also bring family members I trust, maybe a lawyer and any security personnel, preferably to disguise as civillian, who can provide me assistance and safety as well. The world is a scary place and desperate people can do anything to harm others just to get what they want or need.

That is so true! As they usually say it, money is the root of evil, and even though there are a lot of people that look at you as someone else, if they knew you will be winning that huge amount, they will be flailing all over you. I just hope that the winner took his winning safely. With this information, there might be a lot of people planning something bad about the winner.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: Everybody talking about economy reopen but problem on: January 28, 2021, 09:07:03 PM
They are having a problem managing the funds to be able for that fund to go around the country. If they will be putting it all on crypto currencies jus because it pumps in a week or two, they will never be able to make that fund go around. Right now, they should focus on managing the risks that can cause them more money in the future because of this pandemic.
176  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: January 28, 2021, 07:58:43 PM
The overall cost of most types of meat, poultry, fish and eggs has increased by 4.3%, the largest increase of any single grocery category. Various cuts of beef saw a 3.7% increase, while pork prices went up by 3% and poultry prices rose 4.7%. The rising prices of meat and eggs have been offset, somewhat, by relatively tame inflation for fruits and vegetables. Even so, some vegetable prices have jumped, too. Another reason is climate changes and new taxes for carbon and also increased demand for a lot of products.

Meat is now so expensive and that also includes Chicken meat and Pork. Most of the people here in our province told me that it is because of the people buying people's pigs and bringing them to cities or rural places and to be sold there. 178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to still make a good return from Bitcoin? on: January 28, 2021, 03:05:49 PM
Well, with the price that rose almost at 10%, it is safe to say that we can still make a good profit or return from bitcoin. The market might have a price change but I don't think that it will also stop the possibility of it creating new ATHs in the near future. That would be the same to some of the other hundred altcoins in the market.

~snip~

I do understand the fact that there are a lot of parents that have credit or ATM cards that if sometimes left unattended might be used by their children. Even though they've seen these advertisements, I don't' think they can do anything about it since they can't bet on it. I know it is still dangerous but I guess it would not be the same situation with every children.

We can hope that the children will not do too far to click the advertisement to prevent them from unknown advertisements. As long as the parents can communicate with their children and care for their children, I think the children will not try to do something strange.

When our children grow up, it will need double attention to watch and take care of them, especially now they live in the digital world, which is different from what we get in the past. Their curiosity becomes bigger to something that they don't know, so we need to explain what is good and not good.

I think it will be better if we will be explaining these things to them at a certain age. I know it would be early but they might be more curious and rebel at that because we are getting strict into things. I think we should explain those things so they will not be bothered by that in the future while they grew up.
