I like their hashtag; #EducateDontIntimidate  Cool

I know right? Is this for those people that might think she wanted to do the same for her followers? or maybe for those haters of bitcoin. Either way, she has 300K followers and I think some of them might consider investing or buy their first mBTC maybe or BTC. 1102  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: May 23, 2020, 07:56:28 PM
So, the best thing they can do is this quarantine. What worries me most is that despite the lockdown and everything, the virus keeps on spreading. Most countries are thinking about fully relaxing the curfew restrictions so that people start working to get food and everything. Underdeveloped countries do not have any other options except lifting out the lockdown restrictions.

Some governments are so greedy these times. I heard that some provinces in our country are extending their ECQ so that they will receive money from the government. It is said that places under ECQ receive money from the government, hence extending ECQ means receiving more money. I am not saying that all of them are like that but there are some. Instead of lifting the quarantine slowly to help their people work, they are making it a lot worst.
1103  Economy / Economics / Re: WHO encourages use of digital payments due to COVID19 on: May 23, 2020, 02:07:34 PM
People should be really doing that but here in our place, this kind of payment is not really that easy. 2 stores accepts cards, how much more if we will be using mobile phones. People are still sticking to fiat even though it has a higher possibility of passing the virus to other people.
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does Gambling really mean to you? on: May 23, 2020, 01:20:21 PM
If you can control yourself, still, try to limit yourself from gambling since despite you saying that you are just playing for fun, for excitement or for the money, you are still losing money and time in the long run. I know this is hard for those people that are actually trying to do that and actually addicted to it, but still, keep on trying.

This doesn't make sense at all though I think what you are saying here is "can't" and not can since you already said control then again you said limit which is confusing to read.

Gambling. For me it is one way of having fun especially if I am bored or if I want to have bonding time with my cousins and friends. Some make this as their source of income especially if they are lucku while others are the same as mine. During this time, quarantine I find it as a source of income by not playing it, by promoting it instead.

And I hope you stayed on that path, my friend. A lot of people I know said that to me and most of us were addicted to gambling after some years. You should be able to think what you wanted to do and go straight to it, don't make a right or left turn to gambling, just go straight to what you should be doing and what you should want to do.
1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A new survey shows that UKs gambling addiction is getting worst day by day. on: May 23, 2020, 12:26:14 AM
This is just bad. I just said in the other thread that I was just tagged by my playmate at 10 years old and I've seen this. I agree that gambling addiction is getting worse, people tend to believe in things since it just look easier to win but it is not that easy, and I learned it the hard way. Even though we are under quarantine, people are still gambling, right now the quarantine here is getting lighter and lighter, who knows when will these gambling places be open since it is a long time since they bet again.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does Gambling really mean to you? on: May 22, 2020, 11:59:17 PM
Well, I learned to gamble when I was 10, and it started with me playing games. It is a bit of surprising, right? Someone learning it from playing with his friends. At first, when I learned it, I thought it is something I could walk into so I can help my parents since at that time we have no house at tall. We are risking smaller money to get big money in exchange for that smaller money that we can use to make our lives better. But the risk here is not always the money, but also the gambling itself. Right now, gambling is a dark classroom to me where I reminisce a lot of things that I've done wrong and learn from it one by one.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 22, 2020, 11:23:16 PM
The convenience of anonymity can be abused by minors creating more gambling addicts. We all know that sever gambling addiction can cause other problems like alcohol problems, drugs, crime and etc. Both gambling form has its own advantage and disadvantages.

Well, if you will be thinking about it, minors are legally gambling online and most of them are even streaming. I am talking about those minors that are playing online games with these loot boxes and other gacha mechanics. It will not always be the online casinos but there are a lot of other things that we could consider gambling.

Loot boxes have different legal status in different countries. In some countries, they are equivalent to gambling and are prohibited for minors. When I found out about this, I was surprised, but after encountering such things in some games, I realized that this was a reasonable decision.

Yes, and there are those countries that legalize it. Also, if you don't know, there are those separate or maybe independent sites out there that let you deposit money so you could buy loot boxes on them and connect your Steam account on that site. Just like an online casino, a minor could lose a lot of money in there, if not, his/her parent's money.
1108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. If nations/states/governments are accumulating Bitcoin, then on: May 22, 2020, 10:58:52 PM
In the past, there are a lot of articles, news, some theories that North Korea is actually saving money, hacking, plotting heists and if you actually watched the video of Kento Bento about the North Korean Heist, well, I just learned it there the first time. If they will be turning to bitcoin, then I guess they wanted to control. They are planing something and gaining money is the start of it.

1109  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: May 22, 2020, 09:52:12 PM
I think as far as fiat is there, banks will be inevitable. You might not need it but there would be a lot of people that will do. Even though there is this freedom that crypto currency offers, there are those that will still use banks for something. It might be because of the small and boring interest, maybe for other things but there are some people that are actually living without using these banks, though they are having a hard time getting fiat for themselves too.
1110  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: May 22, 2020, 09:17:03 PM
I don't think we should pity these people, I am sick of it. We all just say it like this and just do nothing while others don't really talk about it but just directly help them the way they can. This pandemic is inevitable, instead of pitying them, push them to do other ways to earn. You are not just helping them to earn money but also the country as a whole.
You might not pity them but I do, and I am a person who has made more money during this lockdown period than I have ever made, and even with that in mind I still think that there is some ways we could help people who could not make money during this situation. Think about it, there is really no way to make money for some business', they are all closed, think of airline industry for example, there is tons of economical help for the companies but when it comes to people who are working as baggage handlers who are probably at the lower end scale of that business, there is no help for them.

If we are helping the industry giants, we should be helping the small people who are barely living without pandemic as well, with pandemic they are basically just trying to stay alive.

And that is what I am saying. We should not just help because we pity them, we help because they need it. Pity won't cut it, it is just a half-assed way of helping. It is just like giving grass to a horse because it is a horse. And there are people who take advantage of this "pity" and make it as a way to become popular, to become a center of attraction, to earn money, don't you think that is unfortunate? especially for those people that don't actually need pity but help.
1111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mobile Legends Gambling [Part II] on: May 22, 2020, 08:36:07 PM
I wanted to join and there are a lot of people that I have in mind that would quickly say yes to this not just because they wanted to win or just maybe test their skills in the game but also to have fun. Though the problem here is that we have a slow internet connection and it became worst these past few days, we can't even play a stable game right now. Maybe you can stream this and give us some time so we can watch it, this would be amazing.
1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 22, 2020, 08:11:05 PM

Well, if you will be thinking about it, minors are legally gambling online and most of them are even streaming.

I have never seen a site that says minors are allowed to gamble, although they can't verify if the gambler is minor or not due to anonymity, but it's always in the policy that minors are not allowed to gamble, now, if such minor will still persist to gamble, what he is doing is he is illegally gambling.

I am talking about those games with loot boxes and gacha games mechanics, not really online casinos. These features are obviously gambling since they are betting their money into getting something they wanted to from the game. Some people are not aware that these kinds of features in games are gambling, and this might be the reason why some minors knew gambling.

1114  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will Bitcoin increase? on: May 21, 2020, 09:08:41 PM
It's been almost 10 days since Bitcoin's halving ended, but I still can't see any big Bitcoin pump, how many Bitcoins I had, now I'm in a lot of confusion, what to do! I still don't understand whether Bitcoin will really increase or decrease, so there are many big Bitcoin users here who want to know their opinion. Huh

You don't need to be impatient. It doesn't mean that the halving happened, the price of bitcoin will immediately increase. It is better that it is just staying at $9K these days and it is not dumping at all. Some already said this the past week, and I think this is better since we've all seen the price dumping all over $4k last month.
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: App with a map of nearby people willing to trade bitcoin? on: May 21, 2020, 12:56:06 PM
Is there app with a map of nearby people willing to trade bitcoin?.
I know of LocalBitcoins but it doesn't have a map...

I can't really remember but as far as I know, we have a local exchange where they would create an account and if someone wants to convert their btc into fiat, they would just check the application that would or could exchange, or trade that btc into fiat, it is like they will be selling their btc into these people that are indicated in the map. I checked coins.ph but I can't see that feature, maybe that is not that one.

1117  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: May 16, 2020, 02:36:55 PM
It all depends on the earlier they are able to provide the vaccine. It will be difficult for someone to predict accurately how long this current situation of coronavirus will last

That is the problem though, the vaccine can't still be invented. Another problem here is that while the vaccine is still not found or invented, that just means the government will be using their budgets to focus more on people so they would last or survive the long days of quarantine or lockdowns. So how long would the government last?
1118  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: May 10, 2020, 11:48:17 PM
This crysis will last for a period of 6 months to 1 year, from that point everithing should be qas it should.

This crisis is very different from the one in 2008-2009. It is accompanied by a coronavirus pandemic. And even when the epidemic is defeated, it will still return to us every year, causing damage to the economy. Therefore, I think that the financial crisis will continue for 2-3 years.

I agree, but I hope that the government finds a way to regain the country's economy since a lot of people are already having a hard time right now, just imagine if this continues for 2 or more years so I hope it won't. The vaccine is really essential in this pandemic and I hope it will be invented this year or maybe next year, hoping it will be don this year.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 10, 2020, 11:09:24 PM
I guess after this pandemic is over, there are still gamblers that will play in online casinos. As it is not totally safe to blend with people after the lockdown is over, gamblers will prefer to stick in online casinos for a while. So far, I have seen a lot of benefits using online casinos. This pandemic showcased the major benefits of using these online casinos.

The thing here is that people are already gambling online even before this pandemic but I know what you mean. I don't think these casinos and other places that are closed now because of the pandemic will function without the notice of the government. Obviously, they will be considering a lot of things before they let these places open after the pandemic. But for sure they might overlook and just let them function as they need to rebuild their economy.
1120  Economy / Gambling / Re: My urge to go to land base casino in this lock down and how I fight it. on: May 10, 2020, 10:08:00 PM
I looked at YouTube recordings of cockfights and I thought it was very cruel. What do they do with the birds that lose?

I already told you that they are raising them, right? There is a meme about it that these roosters are considered siblings of the children whenever their father is taking care of a rooster, it is quite funny. I just need to say that so you could feel the gamblers themselves when they lose. When those roosters lose, automatically, they belong to the winner. So basically you win money, your rooster wins, and you have food to bring for your family.
